:rotfl: I realised after I posted that I might get that question :goodvibes

In England we have fat chips (fries) like the ones they sell at Harry Ramsdens in Epcot at the UK pavillion. Harry Ramsdens is an expensive chain in the UK but in every town you will find lots of chip shops where they sell battered fish/sausages/pies (all deep fried and extremely unhealthy) and fat chips - they're usually all takeaways and you go in and get a polystyrene tray with your chips in and the fish on top and then they wrap it in paper (traditionally newspaper but not any more) and you take it away and eat them - yum very deliecious!

English fish and chips are easily my favorite things in the world!!!!!!!!!! I spent 3 weeks in London several years ago, and grew to love them dearly! Especially with Malt vinegar on top. Heaven on earth! There's nothing close to me that compares with them. By the way, I'm sad they stopped serving them in newspapers; that kind of added to the experience.

Hey all-

I wanted to show you the picture of my daughter in her great homemade t-shirt (design made for us by Kate (J&N's mom)! -Thanks so much!) It was nice for her because all the princesses automatically knew her name from reading the shirt! Another bonus - meeting Kevin, Amy, & Alyssa (KMH1) while waiting for the Magic Kingdom bus at Pop Century! They saw the shirt and knew we were Disers! (Nice to have met you 3! Maybe I'll bump into you again around here at home!)

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a346/kate716/WDW-MadelynAlice9-30-05.jpg

Here also is my favorite pic from the 9-30 Halloween Party! My little Snow White with 5 of the 7 dwarves (they couldn't all fit in the picture!) :)

I made the same shirt for my DD! By the way, your DD is adorable.

I have been printing out my designs, and I have found that if I pick photo and glossy paper on my printer settings, the designs print out awesome on the dark transfer paper. Much clearer and brighter than with the regular setting. Just thought I'd pass this on.

Thanks for the tip. I am hoping my paper will arrive this week and I can get going on making some more shirts.

Way to go on 8000 posts - the DDAs :rockband:

I'm glad I've managed to convert you all to good old fish and chips. Check out Harry Ramsdens next time you're at Epcot... actually don't - my DH2B badly needed a fat chips fix last trip after two weeks of skinny fries (which I LOVE esp with the skins still on :goodvibes ) I took him to Epcot but the food at HR was waaaay over priced and not that great... seems americans can't cook english chips... sorry guys! :rolleyes1

krdisneybound - I hope your surgery goes well - sending you PD for a speedy recovery.

Let's hear it for 8000 posts :thewave:

ps Kate - I'm sure you're working on a v important project but how on earth do you have the will power not to check up and see what we've been up to in your absence? Tell us all about your trip as soon as you can - you were spotted by so many DDAers you've become quite the celebrity!

Have to relate the following to everyone:

When I went to hospital to pre-register for Wednesday's surgery, I wore one of my shirts that I made and the lady in registration is a Disney fanatic also.

Made for some very nice conversation and a little special for me. She even called the anesthesia tech down to speak to me at that time, instead of waiting for Wednesday morning.

Both of them were very impressed by the shirt and I explained how we do them. I told them that they should see some of the shirts that are made by all of you and how talented everyone is. It was very nice. We will probably see them on the site later on.

One thing I think you will all love is that the Minnie and Mickey you sent went EVERYWHERE with us! Although Julia sometimes left Minnie waiting in the stroller for us - Mickey never left Nick's side - a couple of times we thought we had lost him and a wave a panic went through me - Nick would have been traumatized!!! when Nancy got there on Saturday she started laughing and said - well that is one well loved Mickey!!!

I have a requset as well. Kate, if you are too overwhelmed from just getting back, I totally understand.

But if anyone wants to take a crack at the shirt with the girls names and characters throughout (kate's design originally), I need another one

I have the ones for our trip, but I'm taking my dear ..... I have no idea what title she would be (looooong story, full of seriously sad family drama).... 4-year-old friend :) with me to Disney on Ice Princess Classics next week for her birthday, and I think she would love it if we could wear matching t-shirts.

Her name is Darby, if anyone wants to give it a go :) Any girl characters would be fine, but princesses would of course be perfect.

Thanks in advance!

I got this email from one of my Girlfriends and decided it was only natural to pass it on to all of you - sorry to the men - when I get a National Chick Friend week e-mail - I will be sure to post it for all of you!! ;)

National Girlfriend's Week
I am only as strong as the coffee I drink, the hairspray I use and the friends I have. To the cool women that have touched my life. Here's to you!

What would most of us do without our sisters, confidants and shopping, lunching, and traveling girls? Let's celebrate each other for each other's sake!

TO MY GIRLFRIENDS!

It is good to be a woman:
We got off the Titanic first.

We can scare male bosses with the mysterious gynecological disorder excuses.

Taxis stop for us.

We don't look like a frog in a blender when dancing

No fashion faux pas we make, could ever rival the Speedo

We don't have to pass gas to amuse ourselves

If we forget to shave, no one has to know.

We can congratulate our teammate without ever touching her rear end.

. We never have to reach down every so often to make sure our privates are still there.

We have the ability to dress ourselves.

We can talk to the opposite sex without having to picture them naked.

If we marry someone 20 years younger, we are aware that we will look like an idiot.

We will never regret piercing our ears.

There are times when chocolate really can solve all your problems.

We can make comments about how silly men are in their presence because they aren't listening anyway.

We can make comments about how silly men are in their presence because they aren't listening anyway.

warning

Police are warning all men who frequent clubs, parties and local pubs to be alert and stay cautious when offered a drink from any woman.

Many females use a date rape drug on the market called "Beer". The drug is found in liquid form and available almost everywhere. It comes in bottles, cans, from taps and in large "kegs".

"Beer" is used by female sexual predators at parties and bars to persuade their male victims to go home and have sex with them.
A woman needs only to get a guy to consume a few units of "Beer" and then simply ask him home for no strings attached sex.

Men are rendered helpless against this approach. Many times these unfortunate men are swindled out of their life's savings in a scam known as a "relationship".

In extreme cases, the female may even be shrewd enough to entrap the unsuspecting male into a longer term form of servitude and punishment referred to as "marriage".

Please! Forward this warning to every male you know.

If you fall victim to this "Beer" and the women administering it.....there are male support groups where you can discuss the details of your shocking encounter with similarly affected like-minded guys.

For the support group nearest you, just look up "Golf Courses" in the Yellow Pages

Thanks Jennifer. We spent a very exciting day. Lunch at a local Philly Cheesesteak place, then I went to pick up my mom who had surgery and spent afternoon with her while he ran errands.

Tonight, I was with DD6 while he took DS11 to Scouts. We are now watching the ballgame.

Y'all want to read a TYPICAL weekend in our house? Rees had to do this for school (had to take Maddie the Moose everywhere with us). Here's the text and photos. Life is not dull!

Rees' Weekend with Maddie the Moose

On Friday after school Rees introduced Maddie the Moose to his mom, Davis, and Brantley-Kate. When they got home, Maddie the Moose decided she wanted to take a bath and get all clean. So Rees’ mom gave her a fun little spin in the washer and dryer. Maddie loved the bath and said her blanket smelled great! When Rees’ dad got home, Rees showed him Maddie. Daddy thought Maddie was wonderful. That night, Maddie and Rees helped his mommy wash her cell phone in the sink and then bake it in the oven! Daddy had dropped his mom’s cell phone in a glass of juice. It wasn’t working, so they washed it and had to dry it in the oven. After a couple of hours, it was working great! They ate dinner and then played games until bedtime. After brushing his teeth and saying prayers, Rees and Maddie went night-night.

On Saturday, Rees took Maddie with him to a birthday party. It was at one of the jumpy places, and Rees had a great time showing Maddie how to jump, slide, and play air hockey. They ate pizza and cake and sang Happy Birthday. After the party, Rees watched football with his family. Alabama won, so his mom and dad were very happy! Maddie watched too and even said Roll Tide! Then they played outside. That night Rees’ family took Maddie out for dinner. Rees got tacos and Mexican rice, one of his favorites. Maddie really liked the chips and salsa. After dinner, Rees, Davis, and Brantley-Kate took a bath, read some books, brushed teeth, and went to bed.

On Sunday, Rees took Maddie to church with him. She really liked learning about Esau. When they got home, Rees’ showed Maddie the Halloween decorations at their house. While Rees and Maddie were eating their lunch, Daddy let their cat, Jitters, inside. Daddy started yelling very loudly. Jitters had brought a chipmunk into the kitchen! They finally got the chipmunk back outside. Maddie was glad the chipmunk got to go home and be with his family. After lunch, Rees, Davis, and Brantley-Kate made Halloween cookies. Maddie watched them put the sprinkles on, and the cookies were so yummy. Then Rees’ family went to the Pumpkin Patch. Maddie saw bunnies while they were there. They were so cute! They bought 4 big pumpkins to carve for Halloween. Then they all went to the grocery store and pharmacy. When they got home, Rees, Davis, and Brantley-Kate all helped Daddy wash his car. They ate spaghetti for dinner. They read books after dinner, put on their pj’s, brushed teeth and then went to sleep.

Rees had a wonderful weekend with Maddie and will miss her company!

Gotta go to my desktop to post the pictures.

she is the best Belle I have ever seen - but I might be a LITTLE bit biased!! We went to storytime later in the week and DH said - "our" Belle is WAY better than her -

but Julia was thrilled b/c she was picked to be Lumiere in that show -

The shirts turned out great maryjeane!!

Just a hint/tip regarding spraying shirts like she did: you can take a spray bottle and get any color of 2oz. Acrylic paint and dump it in and add about 1/3 of the bottle with water and a little fabric medium and shake it up (not hard) and you basicly have the same thing the stores sell for much cheaper price. I just made some up today and the kids and I will work on shirts through out the week.

Gina - thanks for the paint tip. I was thinking that that would probably work, but was afraid to try. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow since I'm running out of paint.

I will ask my friend where in Michael's she found the stencil. It's a brass senticl - so maybe where stamping supplies are - I'm not sure.

The Pooh was a stencil - Tink was cut out from a coloring page at www.tinkfanatic.com.

Since Julia was born - she has attracted everyone to her - I have never met a child with a more magnetic personality in my life - with that magnetic personality - comes a strong willed, high energy, stubborn little girl - who can charm her way out of ANY situation!!!

her curly hair has attracted attention like you would not believe - how could you not think you were the greatest thing since sliced bread when EVERYWHERE you go people stop you and tell you how beautiful and gorgeous you are and that you have the most beautiful hair they have ever seen - she gets asked the question "where did you get that curly hair" so much that she actually knows the answer "from my daddy"

Julia has the knack to make anyone feel like they are the most important person in her life - I went into the bathroom without her the other day and when I came back she ran into my arms - "mommy - i missed you - I am so glad you are back - I love you!" How does one not just melt? When you look at our pictures - you will see how she snuggles into her daddy - and pretty much any character she meets. She is the child that other parents hate b/c the characters seem to spend a lot of time with her b/c she actually wants to have conversations with them - Belle is not the only character that recognized Julia from a previous trip - (see our pictures with Mary Poppins)

so on our trip last October - we met Belle briefly on Saturday - at the time Julia was really into saying the A at the end of her name - a lot of people slip and say Julie and it drives her crazy!!! So we went back on Julia's birthday and Belle told her she remembered her - and how she loved how she said her name - she then held Julia in her arms and had the crowd sing Happy Birthday to Julia - can you think of anything better on your 3rd birthday? So on our last day in the MK she begged to go back - of course we did and Belle immediately winked at Julia when she saw her during the story - after she picked her up in her arms again and told her happy she was she had come back to tell her goodbye - and taught her how to give eskimo kisses - that is why they are doing it in the teacup!

I wrote Disney a letter about how much we loved Belle and the rest is history!

she actually isn't Belle anymore at stroytime - I do not know what she does now - I wish I did - she told me it was a TOTAL fluke that she was there that day - someone had told me that they went to the first show and were told Belle was feeling under the weather and would be there for the next storytime - so I think they called her in to sub - it was total Karma - no wonder Julia believes the world revolves around her!!! :rotfl:

maryjeane...your very welcome. I have used it in the past and it works great. You can do pretty much any color you want. Also by adding more or less water you can adjust to make the paint come out lighter/less vibrant or darker/more vibrant, whatever you want. The thing I like about the spray bottle is that you can twist the nozzle to make it stream and you can actually write something with the paint.

OK< I've bought some T-shirst from Primark and the transfer paper from Partners - BOGOF, so 10 sheets for £14.99 (don't know if that's a bargain, but having seen a "kit" in WHS with one T-shirt (FOTL), three sheets of paper and some naff CDROm with clipart on it - yeah, PAY for clipart? When did that start :rotfl: - at the price of £29.99 :earseek: I thought it wasn't bad. Anyway, going to start of with a T-shirt for DS(5) birthday party then do a T-shirt each for both boys for Christmas - and maybe a pillowcase too! (Can put cute family pics on that as DS(12) won't have to be embarassed by wearing a T_shirt with his mum on it! :rotfl: )

And I've had an idea  :faint: Sorry if this has been suggested already (ehy, there are SOOOO many pages on this thread  :guilty: ) but how about family bandanas for large groups? Obviously your display space is a bit more restricted, but might be more acceptable to stroppy teens who can tie up hair or tie them round their bags etc. so at least you could spot your distinctive colour. (OK now don't ALL pick lime green or it won't work..... :rolleyes1 )

When you download fonts, save them to your desktop, then right click on it to unzip. After it's unzipped go to start, control panel, then open up fonts. Drag the unzipped font file into your fonts file.

Denise those reports are great - have you ever thought of writing a children's book? Maybe you could do one about a trip to Disney and us DDAs could do the images :0)

I actually have a really cute idea for a kids book. I just need to put it on paper and submit it. I like your idea too!

To Kate or any of the designers out there.....I am trying to make our names (in Disney Font)to put on the backs of our shirts. Now, I can only do it in Word or Adobe Photoshop. The problem that I am having is that I can't seem to make the font any larger that 72, which is not big enough. Do you know of a way that I can increase the size in either of these two programs?

Tammi - in word - there are two ways - either way - I would make your paper landscape -

you can make it a word art and make it as large as you want -

or type the word normal - highlight it - and where you choose the font size - you can type in any number you want - they only give the option up to 72 but you can type in 200 if you want - I would guess you want about 125 - if all else fails - PM me your email and what names you want

Tammi,
Like Kate said, I did it as a Word Art in Microsoft Word and got it pretty big to across the back of our shirts and the clarity was not compromised at all!
Good Luck!

With WordArt, you can change the color by selecting the WordArt image and clicking the "Format WordArt" toolbutton (paint can and paint brush) on the WordArt toolbar that comes up. (That toolbar will only show up when the WordArt image is selected.) You can also right-click the WordArt image and select "Format WordArt".
You can change both the fill color and the line color of the words (including fun Fill Effects like rainbows, etc.!

Just a note with WordArt and the Disney font - I found that some of the clarity was lost if I used a curving WordArt style.

Hope that helps! :)

::yes:: My thoughts exactly!
Chapel Hill is such a wonderful area. No doubt you'd want to stay there when you're done!

And I live in Tampa right now :) Been here 3 1/2 months now. LOVE the sun, the warmth, the fact that the average high in January is 70.5º :sunny: And since I live on the east side of Tampa, that 70 minute trip door-to-door home-to-WDW ain't bad either! :teeth:

Funny that you both said those two. Chapel Hill is beautiful and a great program.... but not big city enough for this girl, as far as I know now. Also, St. Pete is another one of those we left on there "to give it a chance" .... seems to far away for both of us. You never know though.... really we have to just go and see for ourselves! Maybe we'll be surprised.

Jennifer,

I worked in Chapel Hill doing Medical Research. You CANNOT beat the Research Triangle for school and job opportunities. I am used to Atlanta, and I found that area AWESOME! Charlotte isn't too far with all the pro sports, it is beautiful, and you have 4 major college programs right there (Duke, UNC, NC State, and Wake Forest). Raleigh is a fantastic city, and it has tons of great social life, art, cultural. And UNC is one of the top in the country. I'd put it at the TOP of my list.

:rotfl: Pro sports is how we narrowed down our ORIGINAL list! Lol.... that's NOT to say we picked our favorite teams, etc but we definitely wanted that around. I grew up in Chicago and Cincy and DH grew up in Nowheresville. It was so strange to me that he went to his first ballet, pro sporting event, etc as an adult! I want that kind of stuff around for my kids to experience as well. SO.... Chapel Hill actually didn't even make our list (nor did Baystate) because of that, but the faculty so highly recommended both, so..... they're back :) It's nice to hear from a city girl (my FAVORITE city, by the way) that it's not some small college town far from everything!

I live in a newish planned development right outside the Brandon limits.

That area is actually quite big because of the proximity of the 4 major schools. Raleigh is beautiful. It's a great area, and Charlotte about 2.5 hours away. I think it would be great for both of you for school. Good quality of life place.

You didn't have Emory on your list or anywhere here in Atlanta!

I know... when DH originally started looking at medicine-pediatrics combined programs, he generated a list of every program in the country..... and the FIRST place I asked about was Atlanta. No programs in the entire state of Georgia

It's a fairly new program (I mean, maybe 20 years.... but compared to others...) and even newer in the national Match Program..... so I guess that's it. BELIEVE ME.... I have said since I was 12 that I was moving to Atlanta. Guess I"ll have to wait a few more years

Mazda,

Actually I had the idea of giving handkerchiefs or kerchiefs with the one of Midnite's designs. It was the one of Tinkerbell on the blue jar and the saying "Do You Believe?" So Steffy printed up the transfers, I ironed them on 20 :rotfl: and we gave them out to Cast members who really went far and above with Pixie Dust. In fact, I tried to fold two together with some glitter and left them for Fanny, our Mousekeeper. We came back that evening and she had folded them into a rolled towel making them look like eyes on a mask. We were really surprised :earboy2: If i ever can figure out how to post a picture, I will do it.

legalslave: I have been printing out my designs, and I have found that if I pick photo and glossy paper on my printer settings, the designs print out awesome on the dark transfer paper. Much clearer and brighter than with the regular setting.

Lisa

I used them both and both held up great

here is what I learned - anything stretchy or made with spandex does not hold up well - the 100% cotton and 50/50 did great - I will post pictures -

now for my BIG confession - my suitcases are still in the car :rotfl: they are really heavy and I am waiting for DH to get them out of the car - it is all my summer clothes which we don't need and it is all washed (we were in a DVC suite) so I am in no rush - it leaves me with the thought in the back of my head that maybe one day this week - we might just turn the car around and go back!

My AP expires on Saturday and I am SO sad - just the knowledge that I could have gone anytime I wanted was nice (oh yeah - except that pesky 900 miles!!! :rotfl:) I will probably go into a major funk on saturday!!!!!

Cinderumbrella - first I can't believe you are done with 6 days to spare - you may be way too organized!!!!!!! Last year on DD's 3rd birthday - the bengals had a monday Night football game for the first time in 12 years!! and DH went to Cinderella's gala instead - see there are some true princes out there

which leads me to you Brendita - I hope your prince returned instead of the toad that has been hanging around lately!! if not :grouphug: and have an awesome trip without him!!!!! sending you :wizard:

Dimk - I have now made 12 shirts and I just ran out of one color. If you're spraying lightly like I did on most shirts you'll be fine. Here's DH's shirt which I just finished yesterday and I totally had to saturate it to get the bright colors. The Tulip colors would definitely be more convenient, but if you have the time to mix them yourself you might get a better spray. The Tulip bottles tend to drip. I don't know if it shows up in the pictures very well but I got lots of drips on our shirts.

I don't think the person who posted about mixing your own gave a ratio, just to use a bottle of acrylic paint, add some water and some fabric medium. If you're at the store look at the Tulip paints - they're a little thicker than water.

I'll be doing some more on Friday for a friend and may mix some so I'll let you know how it goes.

I found this - are these the instructions you are looking for?

The shirts turned out great maryjeane!!

Just a hint/tip regarding spraying shirts like she did: you can take a spray bottle and get any color of 2oz. Acrylic paint and dump it in and add about 1/3 of the bottle with water and a little fabric medium and shake it up (not hard) and you basicly have the same thing the stores sell for much cheaper price. I just made some up today and the kids and I will work on shirts through out the week.

Thank you very much!!!! :flower:
Just wanted to suggest....
I purchased a heavier plastic that is flexible at JoAnn Fabrics (it was on a large roll) to use as my template. Should be easy to cut as it is flexible and easy to wash off.

I like it, and the drips add character.

Good luck, Dink.

Yes, I cut a template out of stencil plastic - worked great and rinsed right off (when I remembered to rinse it!!).

Have fun and post a picture when you're done.

I have just started looking at these threads as we are going Thanksgiving Day. You guys are way to creative. I am thinking of trying the sprayed shirts this weekend. Where is the best place to buy shirts?

I bought some girls sizes on clearance at Wal Mart for $3.00. Mervyn's has ladies sizes for $4.68 or so.

The rest I ordered from www.shirtsupplier.com

If you're just looking for plain white t-shirts I believe they're on sale at Michael's this week for $2.88.

Some of our time may overlap, so watch for us... we'll be the crazed Commando Mommy :flower: , a 2year old screaming about the castle and "Cinderumbrella" :goodvibes and a tall skinny guy sulking about how we should be in ESPN club watching the World Series and not Wishes!! :rotfl:

When we were out at Easter Walmart had Fruit of the Loom T's in the mens section in all sizes, colours and styles - v-neck, crew etc. DS(12) and DH got one each but I wish I'd made them buy a whole batch in different colours and styles - they were only about $3-4 each and they wash well. :cool1:

I am so far behind posting this, but I was sick (and way too depressed, lol) to post once we got home.

I need to give Kate and HayGan a great big thank you for making some last minute adjustments to designs as I waited until the very last minute to make my shirts  . You'll see in a moment that didn't turn out too well for me.

Anyway, we were at WDW from Sunday, September 25 - Saturday, October 1. I didn't start making my shirts until Friday, September 23rd, just as Hurricane Rita was coming ashore. Our power was flickering as I was printing and ironing like a mad woman, and Kate saved the day! I had to dip into my light colored transfers and needed some designs flipped and Kate did that for me. I also had a great design from Momof2OH but it wouldn't print out right and Kate fixed that for me as well. HayGan resized her Surrender the Candy design for me also! So a great big thanks to y'all for that!

Because of my procrastination and Rita, I only ended up making 4 shirts. Not as many as I wanted to but I'll be saving those designs for later. The first design is one Kate made for my mom. We celebrated her 70th birthday AND her first time at WDW! The design was "It's my 70th birthday feel free to treat me like a princess". My mom NEVER calls attention to herself and I think she was a little apprehensive at first, but once we got to the parks she was loving all of the attention. She got it from everyone! We started off the day at AK, then hopped over to MK for her birthday dinner at CRT. CM's and guests were all saying happy birthday, some adding princess to the end of the greeting! My mom said it was the best birthday she ever had and I believe for one day she truly felt like a princess! I took a great picture of her shirt, but my camera didn't save it. She'll kill me over this picture since it was at the end of a hot and tiring day, but I love this pic :goodvibes

My other design is credited to Momof2OH and Kate. This is the one that wouldn't print out correctly. We wore it on our first day at MK and got some attention but we happened upon Peter Pan and Wendy and they made a huge fuss over the shirt. Peter Pan said "What's your favorite ride, Christopher?" Christopher said "yours" then said "how did you know my name?" Peter Pan said "it's right there on your shirt." DS looked down and said "No, that's Mickey Mouse (kind of "knowingly"). Peter and Wendy both read his shirt to him, saying "It says WDW, then Mickey, then Christopher and spelled out Christopher." DS looked down at his name on his shirt and said "whoa!" like he never realized his name was on the shirt (we did show him, honest  ). Peter and Wendy got a big laugh out of DS. A little OT, but this Wendy is great!! DS loves the characters, but he hardly ever smiles because he's shy and a little nervous. Peter and Wendy really drew him out and talked to him. We have a picture with the same Wendy from last December and we loved her then too!
Here's a picture with Peter looking at DS's shirt and talking to him about it
http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/data/500/78718Peter_Pan-med.JPG
And another, showing it (well, half of it  )from the front and our favorite Wendy :goodvibes
http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/data/500/78718Peter_and_Wendy-med.JPG
And another with Jasmine so you can see the whole shirt. DS fell in love with Jasmine
http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/data/500/78718Jasmine-med.JPG
I know you can't tell it, but he's REALLY happy to be taking a picture with Jasmine. He had no clue about the princesses until we took a picture with her. Now they're all he can talk about. Men! :teeth:

Our third shirt was for the Pirate Cruise and it was designed by nuzmom. I struggled over what color shirt to use, but I think it looked really good on the black shirt. It was at the Pirate Cruise that we figured out our camera wasn't saving our pictures, so I don't have good digital pics from the cruise. Here's a picture of the shirt itself, then DS back at the Poly holding his loot.

Finally, I saw 2 of midnite's designs in the parks. Well actually in the restaurants. First we saw a family with the Incredible Mom/Dad/Kid shirts at Sci-Fi as we were leaving about 3:30ish on Monday, September 26th. If that was your family and you're reading here :wave2: we saw you!! The shirts looked great!!

Friday night I met Steffy and Tinker1bell (and some sisters, I think) at LTT. They had on the MNSSHP T-shirts that said Welcome Foolish Mortals. I think I threw Steffy for a loop when I ran up to her and asked if she was a Diser, but she was really nice about it. I knew when I saw them come in they had to be disers. I hope they post photos because their shirts were awesome!!

Finally, I planned to put HayGan's design "Surrender the Candy" on shirts for DH, DM and I to wear to MNSSHP since DS was a pirate, but I ran into a little trouble. I was making the second one and forgot to reverse a design and ironed it on backwards! It was at that point I surrendered to the hurricane. We packed up and left a day early! I'm going to make the shirts for us to wear for Trick or Treat, though. I may try it on the glow in the dark paper if I can find it.

Thanks again to everyone who shared your designs! I've followed this thread from the very beginning and never thought I'd ever make anything. Seeing other completed shirts and such cool designs inspired me and I'm so glad I did!! Now I'm trying to plan another trip around the shirts I want to make :rolleyes1

Way to make me all misty bengalbelle! Your son is so cute and I love that your mom wore a tiara too!

Kevin is STILL cropping our pictures (we took about a 1000). Last night we spent two hours narrowing down our photopass choices. Out of 173, we're buying 24. That's our Christmas present to each other. But if we win the powerball tonight, we're going to buy them all! :teeth:

Amy :)

P.S. I really wish Kate would post something I could make fun of her about. I'm going through withdrawal! :rotfl:

In fact, I tried to fold two together with some glitter and left them for Fanny, our Mousekeeper. We came back that evening and she had folded them into a rolled towel making them look like eyes on a mask. We were really surprised :earboy2: If i ever can figure out how to post a picture, I will do it.

Where did you stay when you had Fanny as your Mousekeeper? Our Mousekeeper was Fanny at the POFQ and she did the most amazing things with towel animals. One was a big bunny with flowers on her skirt that we dubbed "Queen Bunny". I wanted to keep her so badly. We even wrote Disney about her and they printed our letter in the Cast Member newsletter, the Main Street Gazzette. I wish I had gotten her picture. She was the best. Could it be the same Fanny?

I soooo wish I could go to WDW for my birthday but DH works in retail and can't take vacation around any holidays. The only time other than the summer we can go is for Mardi Gras. DC planned for Feb 2006. Only 128 days away until we set sail. Think of me on the 6th while your at WDW. :flower:

Working retail during the holidays is killer, although I think everyone should have to do it at least once in their lives so they would have more patience and sympathy! I'm sorry you can't go on our birthday, but February will be here before you know it! And...more time between now and then to make t-shirts! I've heard the cruises are awesome. DH says maybe for our 25th...we're at 14 now. sigh....

I forgot something! At the Grand Floridian we got into the elevator with a couple who was walking their children to the marina for the Pirate Cruise also. The mom noticed DS's shirt and asked if I had bought it there at the resort. She wanted one for her kids!

Thanks everyone for the kind words about the pictures :)
