Here is for all wondering.
Yes DH is still being an ***.
I came home around 11:00 P.M Sat.
He is not in the chair.
Go to the bedroom, not there.
Where is he?
The truck is in the driveway.
I look in the living room.
He has gotten a full size bed set up in the dining room.
This is a formal living dining room.
Very large room has always been the man's den we call it.
We use the real den off the kitchen.
I can't tell you how fast my mood went from floating on a cloud
to a state of depression.
He hasn't even said hi to me.
I called him twice on vacation.
He actually was in a good mood talking to me.
Concerned about us being in Wilma.
Right now I'm just depressed & mad.
I have the phone records from 11/1 - 11/5.
He was on the phone with XDW till 9:20 P.M.
Our plane landed @ 9:55 P.M.
Didn't he even care that our son was coming home on that plane.
Sorry everyone I just need some friends now.

I love the CP one too. But I think we will be more dressed up than that on Christmas Eve.

Which ones are you making, Tammi?
Elin - since Kate and Denise seem to be winning all the post milestones, have you decided to try for the "largest photo milestone?" :rotfl2:

I have only decided on a few so far....
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y254/tammi67/mvmcptammi.jpg
and the same 4 park Christmas one that you are doing, courtesy of Denise.
Also, the Supercalifragilistic one of Kate's, the Name design with all the characters, a tye-dye Mickey head shirt. Some others are still up in the air.

I heard about Independence filing Chapter 11 today. I hope that they don't mess with your flight times too much and that they still are able to get you there as planned.

What do you use once the parchment paper is worn out? Thanks for the other tips.

When I ran out of the parchment paper provided, I used my own personal supply of parchment paper (that I use for baking). To be perfectly honest, I thought it worked better and would have preferred to use it all along.

You will all be so proud of me.

I BOUGHT ALL MY SHIRTS TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got 21 total for the kids (1 shirt each for 7 days). Got 6 white, 3 red, 3 lime green, 2 royal blue and pink for BK, 2 orange and pink for BK, and 3 green.

I've got to wash them and then get a color cartridge. Think I'm almost ready to start printing!

They're wearing

Arrival Night: Chef Mickey (Kate's) on blue for the boys; Minnie dress for BK
Day 1 MK: Hero Virtues and Princess Virtues on blue/pink
Day 2 MVMCP: the Pooh (by Kate) on red shirts
Day 3 Epcot: All in costume shirts on white
Day 4 MGM: Hero with clipart on orange and Disney Princess by Kate on Pink
Day 5 rest day: Disney names on white
Day 6 AK: Pocahontas on green
Day 7 MK: FMT on lime green
I did buy 3 for me. DH has refused (boo!). Oh, well. I got a white, red, and dark green. I'm wearing:

The 4 Parks Christmas on white
My Yellow Sunshine Palm Tree Mickey on red
GF Christmas 3D front with GF Mickey/Minnie on back on dark green
Aren't you all proud of me? Can I stay in the DDA if I promise to make them?

YAY now I will be able to spot you!!

Hey girlie! I have had gotten my shirt, prewashed them, got ink and been ready for a week. I am just to scared to do the print and iron LOL. Really still tweeking, but I have some I can iron and I am too scared. You go first ok!

Ok girls what the heck have you been doing this afternoon. I decide to take a nap with the boys and come back to not 10000, but 10040+ posts. I was only gone for 3 hours. Ok I wasn't even logged on for that mile stone. Since I've been here from day one I would like a milestone to claim. Are there any left out there. Maybe I should pick an arbutrary number and claim it for my own :rotfl: How about 10572? Would anyone object. Just kidding. I'm happy that Kate has gotten the big 10000.

Brendita. I am so sorry. I had hoped things would change while you were gone, but obviously he doesn't see the wonderful person that we have gotten to know here on the boards. I hope that everything works out.

Maybe I can make a print on a tank top so that it doesn't peak out from under a blouse. Any ideas on designs?
bad influences.

I don't understand what is wrong with my friends. I made sure my wedding date did not fall during football season. Shoot, I gave my DH an autographed LSU helmet from Nick Saban as our wedding gift! I have to battle another friend next year who is coming to Louisiana from Orlando to get married. Strike one ... now I can't use a wedding as an excuse to go to WDW. Strike two ... its the night of the LSU/Tennessee game, which I was planning to attend in Knoxville!

Really quick reply to this one, though, so Denise can get started. As long as you buy PARCHMENT paper from the baking section (not Wax paper, or any fancy baking sheets) you're fine. I learned that lesson, but I have done them right since then with store-bought stuff.

My SIL was in Walmart on Saturday and bought me 15 packages of the Avery 4"X6" T-shirt Transfers. There is 15 per package and she got them for $.25 each. So $3.75 for 225 sheets. They'll work for small designs. They are for light shirts. Now I need some more ideas to put on T-shirts or maybe pillowcase. What else can I transfer on.....The possibilities.

AARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG VENTING!!!!

OK this stinks! The deer/my van, remember that story... well getting this thing fixed has been a freaking pain! We thought it was driveble, now it is not right in the front end! I dont have rental. The body shop can't do it till Jan!!!!! I have to get the front end fixed myself becuz I need to drive it, then I have to fight with ins for re payment. DH got a deer the same day- hunting arg, now that is costing me $$ too!! He has the butcher and taxidermist! I HATE deer right now! $500 for my deductable, $500 for DH's deer stuff! I leave in 3 weeks! Thanks God my 500 isn't until the car is fixed and DH is paying some of his with his own fun money, but man!!!! :guilty:

I am going to Disney with DD, so he should be able to have fun too, right? Gosh I am such a witch today! I think I am still having physical withdrawls from quitting cigs (I quit 10 weeks ago) but every now and then, I get soooo mad and I never get mad. I was so mad about the car today and trying to make plans and talking to ins and everyone, I was sooooooo mad that I threw the phone and kicked the wall and hung up on DH! He is freaked and can't believe what I am acting like. I am just like, let me be!!!!!

I am fine  one minute and :crazy2: the next. It is comical after :rotfl2: , but not for him :rotfl:

Not only did I spend my 40th at MK, my DW Steamboat Marti, was lucky enough to stumble across the CM who picks the Parade Grand Marshalls and we were picked. Marti kept asking what I wanted for my birthday and she delivered, it is a birthday I will never forget. Thanks Marti, I love you...

I'm trying to @ least hold things together till the school year is over.
As it goes now it's like having a room mate.
He still pays 1/2 the bills.
Before we bought this house we had moved 11 times in 7 years.
Lucky for my DS he has been in the same school since 1st.
So next year he goes to middle school & also won't need after school care.
I really don't think I will be staying in this area.
I don't have any friends or close family here.
I'm looking to go some where warmer.
Also far away from DH.

Here is picture of Me, DS, & figgy4me.
We ran into them Wednesday 10/26/5 @ Magic Kingdom.
Was very nice to meet you figgy4me.
Also ran into some disboard member our last day @ M.K & D.T.D same bunch.
Sorry I didn't get a picture.

So cool to meet huh. But you just met and all have the same sweatshirts on?

And was it that cold?

Wow! Was out of town for the weekend, and had mega posts to catch up on tonight!! :earseek:

Tinker1bell - Thanks for the note about the cutting board

Also glad to see those of you who wrote to say you've used your flat top stove and top of your dryer. Hopefully I'll find something that works out.

Julia & Nick's Mom - I LOVE the Pooh MVMCP design with the snow lumpy!!

MommyBoo! - Those Halloween vests look REALLY cool!

Brendita - Welcome Home - Sorry your DH has not come to his senses. :grouphug:

Triplefigs & Paul & everyone else under the weather - Sorry you're not feeling well - hope it's a short-lived bug. I'm keeping my fingers crossed we all stay healthy up to, during, and after our trip (through the holidays), though that's probably a little too much to ask!

I'm psyched now that this weekend's trip to visit family is over, because now (other than Thanksgiving - which thankfully we are not hosting!) our Disney trip is the next thing up!

I hope to actually get started on our T-shirts now!! Gave up on trying to add Simba and his Mom to my Disney Mom design, since I don't seem to be able to get it in properly - not sure if I just forgot how I layered and set it up (I'm using Word), or just don't have the patience; but with time down to the wire, I'll keep the one I have and use Simba on another design.

Stop drinking the diet coke & pepsi.
Get you some Green tea with honey.
Sorry decafe is the best.
Here's some pixie dust & kind thoughts.
You all get better soon.
I didn't mention that DS & I went to WDW with colds & Wilma on the way.
Finished off a bottle of cough medicine & lots of fun.
Feeling much better now.

Rained real bad a few days before.

Brendita- It is good to have a plan. I feel so bad for you. Please, if there is anything you need help with just let me know.
I love the pics you shared! You all look so happy and like you are having a ball! I can hardly wait to go in .....just..... 3 DAYS!!! Yiiippppppppeeeeeeee!!!

Midnite- We've missed you! I'm really glad you have gotten back into the swing of things! I don't remember what was happeing the last time you were here, but I'm sure we can all help catch you up......
For my end of the notes- I've been sick with a sinus infection/tooth problem for at least 3 weeks- and am FINALLY getting better! Unfortunately though, this thread carried the virus I had to my DDA friends and gave it to at least 2 of them- Paul (I think) and Triplefigs (Denise). They've been very gracious in not blaming me, but...... ALAS.... I know it is my fault...... and I am feeling really, really bad for them. ;) My 3 person girl's trip has turned into a 5 person girl's trip as my DD and my friends DD are going to join us down in WDW. Did I tell anyone I leave in 3 DAYS yet?!?!?!?!?
Poop killed someone's DDA addiction a few months ago. It was quite tragic, but I think we're all coming to grips with our role in it. Kate has been bullying Denise and Kim a little, but I bribed her with a post card, and things seem to be settling down a little now. I think it started after someone stole the 9000 post from her. Kids!!!! They claimed it was by accident..... but you know how that goes .... right? We hit the 10,000 post yesterday! It was reserved for Kate- well deserved a I might add, and she gleefully announced the 10,000 post! I personally was a little afraid (although I did not mention it to anyone) because I thought the 10,000 post was gonna land on page 666 and who knows what bad luck that could've brought! Luckily for us all, it landed on page 667!!!!! Rosiejo left for Florida a few days ago to get MARRIED! She'll be back in a few weeks.

OK- that's all I can remember for now..... can anyone else help with the update???

miss missy - first let me congratulate you on quitting smoking. That is WONDERFUL. Keep up the good work. As for the deer saga, I can't imagine why it would take them until January to fix your van. They must have a lot of business. I hope everything works out for you.

Denise - I hope you are feeling better soon. You have a trip coming up, in case you have forgotten. Go sleep in a hotel until you get well so you don't pass it around to the kids/DH. Kids + vacation + illness = miserable...even if it is WDW. And whatever you do, don't fly with congestion. I did that one time and thought my head was going to explode. The pressure was so awful and my ears got so plugged up I never thought I would hear right again. By the way, where did you get your 21 shirts??

Brendita - Be strong, girlfriend. Get angry so you don't let him walk all over you. June is a long time away. I hope you can manage until then. If it is for DS's sake, I'm sure you can. Document everything. And get a good lawyer. Prayers for you all.

Midnite - so glad that you are back. Now I hope you can stay.

For the questions about football talk, Alabama fans have waited a few years to have such a good year. It is an obsession down here. My friends that have moved here from the north can not believe it. For non football fans, it will be over very soon.

Sorry....I cut out early last night. Illinois is good. Weather has actually been warm - 60's and low 70's. Which is good b/c I really need to take some time this weekend and clean up the yard before it really gets cold. I am stuck on what shirts to make for our trip in 24 days. I really need to get busy. Too many great choices. Anyone have an idea for a Mickey & Minnie for the Grandma that is going with us?

Quick question. Tell me again why I can't use blend shirts (ie 5% lycra)? I have 5 old ones for me that are useless in my closet. Would they work for wearing them ONE DAY? I don't care if they last.

Welcome back, Midnite! Brendita, you hang in there. LOVE your pictures. How did the Priceless shirt look? And hello to the rest of my DDA buddies.

I haven't done one on Lycra but I think it is because the fabric is stretchy. If you put the design on there and pull the fabric the design may crack.

Denise, did your good night sleep help you feel any better?? Make sure you keep that Dr's appt today. You probably need a good dose of decongestant and antibiotics to knock that sinus infection out. May be worth trying then. The shirts are a little big, so I wouldn't have to stretch them any.

Welcome Back Midnite!!

Denise - why do they say we cause trouble? :confused3

If you use a shirt with spandex/lycra in it - it will stretch when you put it on and the design will crack - you could try a design on one of them and see how it works but I found that shirts like that automatically stretch when you put them on and the design does not look good

One of my shirts was 5% spandex and it worked great. Honestly, it just stretched back into place, and I've washed and air dried it 5-6 times now.

Of course you should use them!!! You have nothing to lose on these shirts. They're old right? You didn't want them anyway right? So if they got messed up it wouldn't be the end of the world right? Could you take this design and change out the giraffe for the Pocahontas clipart? Could you change the elephant to the safari truck? I love the design. Davis is going to wear it when we go to AK.

Thanks so much for the help! BTW, what font is this? It's very cool.

Welcome, Daisy! You can stop lurking and join in on all of the craziness around here. You tell your DH to stop being such a party pooper, (yes, I said it) and wear a shirt. A few questions for all you pro designers out there!

I've just started working in earnest on my designs, and want to be sure I'm doing them so that they will turn out as I anticipate.

Where do you want to include white in the design, and where do you not want to include white?

If printing to a white shirt (with light color shirt transfers), I believe I understand that anything white won't print and the shirt color will show through. [And if text is involved the design must be flipped before printing]

When printing to a dark shirt (with dark color shirt transfers), do I understand correctly that any white (within or outside the image) also does not print, and the white of the transfer sticker-like paper will be there? [And the design should NOT be flipped]

If I want to see the (darker) T-shirt color show through parts of the design without an image, that is only possible if I use light color transfers (or cut intricately away at the dark transfer paper with a scissors?
Why does the light color shirt transfer paper not work well on dark shirts?

When I'm doing a design to be printed on a darker shirt, and I have Word Art words that are outside of the main design, I presume then that it will be white behind those words unless I put another color there? (Sounds like a dumb question I know, but I'm designing my lime green shirt right now by temporarily having a lime green background in Word - so the words are right on top of the green. If I want the words to look just like that, I guess I'd have to put a lime green text box behind them, and that green might not match the shirt green).

I hope this is making some kind of sense! I thought I understood the process, but now I'm getting nervous that I'll goof these all up!

Thanks for any tips - confirmations or corrections - anyone can provide!

Cherie - I just dealt with this. If you print on light transfer paper and then iron onto a dark shirt, there is a good chance the dark shirt will completely overpower the light transfer paper, and you won't see it at all, or at least not clearly. I tried to do this for wording on the edges of a design for my DS's t-shirt. I used bright yellow letters for a navy shirt. You can't see anything, except that something is stuck on there.

I have actually found that the dark transfer paper works great on white shirts too! Unless you really want the white shirt to show through, just use the dark paper on everything!

Check by doing a test print with the paper setting you will be using: my PC automatically flipped the text once I set it to transfer paper, so I Don't need to flip it for light but I do need to flip it for dark :earseek: :confused3 Lucky I did a test print :teeth:

I have a HP printer and had to set mirror image myself. So be sure to test on plain white (cheap) paper before you start printing.

Ok, I finally have our shirts narrowed down to which shirt/what day. Yes, I am that pathetic. Anyway, on our MK day we are having lunch at CRT. So I thought I would wear Kate's Supercalifragilistic shirt and put the Queen Mommy crown on the back. DD will prob wear the same thing for that day but for lunch will wear her Cindy dress. For DH (if he agrees) and for DS I am going to do one of Kate's Hero designs, either:
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y254/tammi67/Hero2.jpg
or:
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y254/tammi67/Hero1.jpg
This is my question....can any of you creative folk figure out how to put their names into their respective shirts, or alter it in any way to include names or something to make it more personal? I'm not going to put their pictures in like Denise did, because 1) I can't and 2) the only costume DS has is Peter Pan.
Any ideas?

It is REALLY strange.... Kate was talking quite a while back about Denise's signature... .I saw nothing different. I logged out and back in, I refreshed, I did everything I could, and after about 40 minutes I gave up and asked about it. Not too much longer and it just changed! That is tooooo weird! Ya know what is truly ironic about this statement "we love trouble makers here" -- this is the one thread that doesn't have any trouble. Nobody slams anyone, nobody flames anyone, everybody is allowed to be themselves. Except for ONE incident with losing somebody over poop - this has been a trouble free zone. So I will just take this opportunity to thank everyone on this thread....

Our brick -- you mean our waterfront Florida property that we purchased for $100??? If you were to follow the path past the monorail and take the path nearly to the end, you would find our brick. It commemorates our wedding nearly 9 years ago and says Paul and Marti December 27, 1996. The adjoining brick is for our inlaws 35th wedding anniversary - so we actually have two pieces of waterfront Florida property!!!
