Prayers and Pixie dust if you all have an extra minute....

I just got something HUGE dumped on me that I have to work out by Saturday. (On top of moving 6 months sooner than planned (this month), residency interviews, financial and health crap, and trying not to fail out of school in my last semester..... I've said it a hundred times, I'll say it again... when it rains it pours). :sad1: :headache: :(

I said crap.... is that offensive? Thanks for keeping me sane. Well, close to sane anyway. :grouphug:

I will say a prayer for "patience and pixie dust". I have to remind myself all the time that God will never give me more than I can handle. But.....sometimes I want to scream.....THAT'S ENOUGH!!

Just wanted to say everyone's children looked so adorable! Still wanting for our pictures.
Clare, I guess I'm too late but have a wonderful wedding and many happy years! Pictures, please!!
Denise- did you get my PM? I know you've been sick. Hope you're feeling better. Loved the Christmas diamond design.
As for a DDA meet, I'm in SC and even though it's not a central location, Myrtle Beach is always fun!! And Hilton Head has a Disney Resort!
Marti- Hope you are feeling better.
I love the chatter, no matter what anyone says!

Wow, well we're back from our trip and I wanted to post our shirts as I didn't have time before we left. DH is a big hidden mickey fan and this is what we based them on. The shirts turned out awesome. I will try to post a pic of the finished shirts later; dh is currently editing the pics. We took them to our local tshirt shop and he used his heat transfer machine for a dollar a transfer. Well worth it since we could not get the iron hot enough to transfer. DH asked me how much I could get one of theose machines for. :rotfl2:

We got lots of attention and my mil told me someone asked her if she was from the "Dizzyboards"! :rotfl: I laughed, told her to tell them I was and gave her my screen name.

The pictures on the front are from past trips. People were doing the search on our backs in line and even walking down the street. One little eight year old boy tugged on my sil's sleeve and said, "I found Mickey!". Too cute!

I forgot to say that we also had an actual hidden Vojtik hunt in the Magic Kingdom. The kids didn't know that dh's aunt, mom, dad and sister would be there. We did a scavenger hunt with clues and they found a person in each location. They loved it!

Front first, then back.

So when we all come, I will bring about 6 quarts of potato salad

OK, I am busy here at work, but wanted to pop in and say hi and give a laugh to you all! Hope it works! And no, it's not the P word!

Sorry to the men !!!! :goodvibes

You have two choices in life:
You can stay single and be miserable, or get married and wish you were dead.

At a cocktail party, one woman said to another, "Aren't you wearing your wedding ring on the wrong finger?" "Yes, I am. I married the wrong man."

A lady inserted an ad in the classifieds: "Husband Wanted" Next day she received a hundred letters. They all said the same thing: "You can have mine."

When a woman steals your husband, there is no better revenge than to let her keep him.

A woman is incomplete until she is married. Then she is finished.

A little boy asked his father, "Daddy, how much does it cost to get married?"
Father replied, "I don't know, son, I'm still paying."

A young son asked, "Is it true, Dad, that in some parts of Africa a man doesn't know his wife until he marries her?" Dad replied, "That happens in every country, son."

Then there was a woman who said, "I never knew what real happiness was until I got married, and by then, it was too late."

Marriage is the triumph of imagination over intelligence.

If you want your spouse to listen and pay strict attention to every word you say -- talk in your sleep.

Just think, if it wasn't for marriage, men would go through life thinking
they had no faults at all.

First guy says, "My wife's an angel!" Second guy remarks, "You're lucky. Mine's still alive."

A Woman's Prayer:
Dear Lord, I pray for Wisdom, to understand a man, to love and to forgive him, and for Patience, for his moods. Because, Lord, if I pray for Strength, I'll just beat him to death.

Can I share with you all that I just got back from my very first ever parent-teacher conference (Kindergarten)?

Beware - upcoming gloat....

Nicholas scored an 83 out of a possible 100 on the reading readiness. Their benchmark (what they need to pass at the end of the year) is 28. So he is doing incredibly well just after 2 months of school. I am so proud of my little guy. I only hopes he keeps it up for the next 12 years!

Ok, I'm done. Thanks for indulging me.

The paper arrived. I will start sorting out tonight and get it in the mail tomorrow and friday.

Oh by the way, can I say I took babysitting responsibilities tonight so the wife and her sister could do a girls night out at some sappy movie.

Mya was a real big help with my two month old niece Karys. I forgot how stinky a small child could get a diaper, or how to swaddle them in blankets.

Whew, now she's asleep though.

I don't remember where I read this on the DIS, but not too long ago there was a posting about email notifications. I know that AOL members either cannot or hardly ever get them anymore and there may be other servers who block or discourage those kinds of emails. I am not totally sure that the fault is at the DIS.

I am subscribed to 2 threads and never get email notification anymore (I am on AOL). I am tempted to switch to my Cox.net email and see if they start coming again.

I would love to post pictures of my shirts I made for my family for our vaction, but I am at a loss, anyone have easy instructions or a link to one that would point me in the right direction? BTW, Mickey at Chef Mickey's LOVED the shirts the kids had on (they were the small characters with the kids names, thanks to Kate) He kept pointing to them. And yes, I wore mine too and he sort of made a gesture, like "why aren't the other "grownups" wearing theirs?" I think my DH and my 2 friends were embarrased cause they got the wrong kind of attention from Mickey!!!! THe kids thought it was cool that Mickey noticed. And I made sea world shamu shirts for our Spooktacular day there and most of the employees (they aren't CM"S, what are they?) noticed and commented on the shirts too.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you and really want to post the pics of them, so if anyone can help me out, Thanks!!! :goodvibes

Kate..........thanks so much for the "Incredible Designs". I was offered 4 tickets to Disney on Ice w/ The Incredibles so my DD and DDIL are taking my two grandkids. I finished their t-shirts last night and they are going to love them. I can't believe that they are going to see Mickey and Minnie without me. I would have liked to go but my youngest has basketball tryouts tonight so I had to pass. My DDIL has a digital camera and said she would take pictures.....so if I can figure out how to post them I will. THANKS AGAIN!!!

I've just made up my shirts for my DS 6th birthday party next week! Thanks julia&nicks mom for the designs - they came out great!

I had a moment of inspiration  and ironed them on my ceramic hob, using a small tablecloth folded underneath. I don't know how well they'll wear, but its not like I can hand them on to anyone :rotfl:

I'll try and post pics of the kids in the shirts. Next week I'm ging to make the Christmas pillowcases - thanks KMH1 for the monorail design

This is completely OT (which is routine for this thread nowadays, so I don't feel bad about asking), but, I am 4 weeks away from a Power Rangers themed bday party for a bunch of 6 yr. olds. Do any of you have any ideas for games that they could play that would go along with this theme? I figure for as creative as you all are, someone might be able to help me out.

My dh will also take the boys so I can enjoy a shopping day. That reminds me to have him take the day after Thanksgiving off. I get most of my Christmas Shopping done on Black Friday.
Amen to that! Normally, I go with my Mom and my nephew -- who is now 18 but has been coming since he was 13. Mom thinks it may be too much for her, so she will stay home with DS and DH will go. He's thrilled! He LOVES the excitement of it all cause it's not "real" shopping -- it's GUY shopping! Hunt It --> Bag It --> Move On!

KMH1 Do you have your monorail designs posted somewhere??

Do any of you have any ideas for games that they could play that would go along with this theme? I figure for as creative as you all are, someone might be able to help me out.

I found this online

Welcome Ideas:

Let the kids choose a Power Rangers character that they like and put that name on their nametag along with the child's name. Ex., Adam the Green Ranger.
Since the Power Rangers are each identified with a specific color, let your guests be that color for the day. Let them know in advance to dress in the color of their favorite Power Ranger.

Games:

Relay races: an old favorite of ours at parties! Set up a race in the backyard (weather permitting) to test their skills as a Power Ranger. Have them carry raw eggs on a spoon as part of a relay race, or balloons between their knees, roll a ball on the lawn using their nose...anything that's fun and goofy works well!
Balloon mission: Give your aspiring Power Rangers a mission to transport the precious birthday balloons! If weather permits, this activity should be done outdoors; a spacious room is a good alternative too. You’ll need an inflated balloon for each guest at your party.
To begin, pair each child with someone who is about the same height. Line them up standing back to back at a starting line. Place a balloon between the backs of each pair. When you say go, each “Power Pair” must shuffle their way to the finish line (or across the room) without dropping or popping the balloon, and without using hands! Dropping or popping a balloon means a pair must go back and start over.

To make the game more challenging, use additional balloons. Once a pair has successfully transported their first balloon to the finish line, they drop it, run back to the start line, and get a new balloon to transport. Repeat the process until they’ve transported the required number balloons. The first to finish, wins! (See Birthday Express for more ideas like this)

Activities:

Scratch Magic: give each guest their own scratch magic pad to draw an action picture of the Power Rangers in action. Their imaginations are the only limit, and they'll get a surprise of color as they scratch their picture!

Scratch Magic
Soul Bird Boxes: let teams of kids design and decorate their own Soul Bird vehicles from refrigerator boxes you pick up at an appliance store. You can have them color them, use glitter glue and craft foam to make special markings or a pilot panel, or use paint if you're daring! Have a contest for the best Power Rangers aircraft, and then let them have adventures in them.

Food:

Power Rice Crispies: Make rice crispy treats and cut them out in dumbbell shapes for your hungry Power Rangers!
Power Ranger Juicies: Create your own juice shakes using ice cream or sherbert, ice, fresh fruit, and juice. Got to keep your energy up!
Megazord Sandwiches: Get a variety of meats and have each Power Ranger guest create his own Megazord sandwich. Then they can devour their enemy and get energized!! (I hope that doesn't sound too gross :-)

My pink and purple are just too light. I was hoping that they would be real dark.

I am going to put stuff on the back also.. I am thinking of putting names.. and then on ds's put Today is my Birthday!!

I was thinking of putting "grandma" "grandpa" "mom" "dad" "aunt" "uncle" etc. what do you think?? does that sound stupid??

My five-year old son wants a Power Ranger Birthday. We have been able to find paper goods and decorations on various websites. The trick was games and activities for the party. The children's ages will range from 3 to 11, only about 10 guests. We have decided to do the following activities:

1.Krytonite Throw: Collect several bean bags and let each guest throw designated number of bags as far as he can, giving it a good "superhero" throw. The child whose bag goes the farthest wins.
2.Giant Bouncy Ball Throw: Place a container and let children stand about 6 feet away. Bounce ball and try to get it in the bucket. The child with the most throws in wins. Can give bouncy ball as party favor.
3.Balloon Pop: Blow up balloons and fasten to fence in direct sunlight. Give each child a magnifying glass and let them pop balloons using the sunlight through the glass. The first balloon popped wins. Give magnifying glass as favor.
4. Balloon Stomp: Blow up gray balloons to represent "puddies". Let the children stomp the "puddies"/bad guys.
5. Red Ranger/Green Ranger: Play like red light/green light, but use the power ranger concept.
6. Red Rover: play like traditional game, but use Red Ranger concept.

For Favors: bouncy ball magnifying glass Jelly beans in Power Ranger colors Play Doh in Power Ranger colors Power Ranger stickers Power Ranger trading cards Power Ranger balloons Power Ranger storybook/coloring book laser spin top glow-in-dark flying disc monster bookmark Would give a variety, but not all.

Cake Decoration: Will use power ranger action figures to decorate top of sheet cake in power ranger colors(red green blue yellow pink white gold black--any combination) We have a puddy action figure and lots of sabers and laser guns, so it should be fairly easy to make some design.

Other decorations: Various websites have banners, table covers, etc. Can use balloons in Power Ranger colors. I think any traditional party game could be revamped into a Power Ranger theme or superhero theme. The megazords on Power Rangers are made up of all the different Power Rangers and each Power Ranger represents a different animal.

Game to play: When each guest arrives, tape a different animal on their back. Children have to ask questions to figure which animal they are. Good icebreaker. Some of the animals the Power Rangers are consist of shark, bull, lion, tiger, and eagle.

For the Power Ranger birthday party:

I did a batman party for my son a few years ago and you could use this for the power rangers one too.

I had taken our playset and wrapped it up in that tissue paper-type ribbon stuff.. duh.. I can't even think of what it's called now!!

Anyway... I wrapped the outside of it all up, but let a little opening for my ds to climb into it.

Once every guest had arrived I had my son go hide inside the playset. We had already made a note from The Joker saying that he had taken Batman and would not give him back. So all of a sudden I noticed that the birthday boy, Batman, was missing!!! I "found" the note and read it to all the boys.

The boys went crazy looking for Batman. When they finally found him they all tore off all the ribbon stuff to rescue Batman!! It was alot of fun and the boys loved being able to rip that stuff all up!

You could do somthing like that with the evil guy being the one taking your Power Ranger.

I also made a Batman Bingo game and everytime you won you got to pick from a goody bag filled with batman stuff.

How did you do the black Mickey heads? Also, how are you planning on doing the names? Inquiring minds want to know! :)

I took one of the Home Depot paint sample cards and cut the Mickey head out of it with my exacto knife.

Then I used the outside of it as a stencil. It works great!!

I was going to make the names like the front of the shirt.

I did one already, but the green is just too light to really see the name.

Here it is before painted (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a24/good-ol-gal/griffinshirt.jpg)
Here is it finished. (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a24/good-ol-gal/tshirts005.jpg)

I put some dark blue Mickey's around his name, but haven't taken a picture of it.

I have to share these pumpkins photos with you. I was done carving pumpkins, and then on Monday (Halloween!) morning someone here posted a link to a site with these two patterns on it. I had to go out to buy two small pumpkins to carve. (And confirmed my husband's opinion that I am completely nuts).

It's a little hard to see them, but they are the castle and a mouse from Cinderella.

Deb - that is me all the time! :teeth:

Here's a good icebreaker version of musical chairs - you could maybe make it a Power rangers theme by giving everyone a character and letting them guess who everyone is, otherwise its great if you have a mix of school friends, cousins, neighbours etc. and they don't know everybody so well.

Make a circle of chairs with one chair too few, and one person stands in the middle. The person in the middle says something about themselves, e.g. "I have a sister". Everyone sitting down who has a sister has to stand up and move seats - they can't sit back in the same seat. The person in the middle also has to find a seat, so someone is left standing who has to volunteer another fact e.g. "I hate geography" and so on. This can go on as long as you need!

AARRRGGHHHHHHHHHHH!

Ok, I just got through personalizing like 20 shirts for other people. I am now sitting her looking at my itinerary and trying to decide which designs for which days.

I will take suggestions and may likely let someone (HA!) make them for me. I don't know why I am literally shaking in my boots thinking about making these things. I even had a dream about them last night and not having any to wear. :rotfl:

Shirts I know I want to use are:

Arrival Night: Kate's CM shirt
Day 1 MK: personalized Princess and Hero shirts for the kids; what for ME?
Day 2 Rest and MVMCP- Celebrate WDW Style
Day 3 Epcot: Kevin's Monorail shirt
Day 4 MGM: Any good idea? Maybe the Villain shirt for the boys? What for DD?
Day 5 DTD and Wishes Fireworks Cruise: GF shirts (I made a REALLY cool new one that I'll post just before we leave)
Day 6 AK: Pocahontas shirt (need to pick one for each of them)
For our last day at MK: blue Mickey/Minnie parade shirts
As far as MVMCP I can't decide if i want to wear shirts or these BEAUTIFUL Christmas sweaters the kids have. I'm leaning towards the sweaters. Any thoughts on that? And, where could I fit in the new 4 parks Christmas one I did? Do the shirts get a lot of attention if there is a design on the front and back?

My Opinion....

Day 1: for you....."BACK TO MY HAPPY PLACE"......you can put a picture of the castle on this one. Seems appropriate since it will be your first day. Someone did this design...I can't remember who??

Day 4: for DD.......Kate's design w/ her name w/ the Female Disney movie characters on it......you could also do the same for the boys using the Male Disney movie characters

MVMCP....of course you know I love your new 4 Parks design. That is a Christmas design.

I hope the suggestions helped.

Hey Denise:

Don't stress so much, they are just tshirts. We actually brought extra shirts with us and changed a couple of time throughout the day. Example: During the day I wore one shirt and then when we went to chef Mickeys I wore the "Can't cook" shirt that Marti so graciously posted. The shirts are designed to have fun, and yes the ones that are personalized (esp. with pictures) do get noticed more often

Have FUN,
Hunka Hunka Paul

ps Marti is feeling quite better (her sarcasim is coming back to her) but she has been banished to bed for awhile to continue to rest up, hopefully she will be on later to post, she misses everyone and is going through DDA withdrawal/

How about for your MGM day your ds's wear villians (or Hercules since he is around doing greet & meet?) Also Sorcerer Mickey is a good choice since that's theme with the hat at MGM...not sure if your dd likes JoJo but that is popular at MGM.

When we wore the shirts we got alot of attention & the designs were only on the front so I would think you'd get more attention with both back & front.

my opinion on front and back is that not many people will see the back and comment - it is when you are interacting with people that they notice the front - this was my experience anyway - my kids really wanted to see the design as well!!

I got a chain letter in the mail today - before you groan - I usually throw these out but thought this was a cute one

I only want to send it to people who want to participate - so if you are interested please pm me

it is actually for your children - you put their name on the letter and send it to 6 friends - you then send 1 children's book to the person at the top of the list (there is only one person's name on there) and then you should get 36 books in return - I figure odds are you might not get that many but it is a cute idea and thought that if any of you want to participate - I will send you the letter

they have a promotion right now that on every large and medium drink cup - there is a certificate towards a free ticket on airtran - each adult in your house can earn 2 free roundtrip tickets (you have to already have the airtran frequent flyer account) I would need to buy 250 sodas between now and February to earn the 4 free tickets - now I found out the Wendy's by me is not participating and I will have to drive a little further to get the soda - limiting my ability to go as often as I had hoped!!

so if any of you have the certificates and want to share  I would be forever grateful!!!!

No plans for tonight as DH is working but we are going to see "Sweeney Todd" on Sunday & then to the Hard Rock in Times Square for dinner...My MIL watches my kids once a year (yea, that's another story...) on our anniversary so we try to make the most of it! I can't wait!

Can you post a picture of the sweaters? I'll probably get kicked off the thread, but I think I'd vote for the sweaters. Of course it could be 90 degrees, so you should have a backup. DH, DS and I all wore red for our picture last year.

For the MK, how about Midnite's "Do You Believe" shirt with Tink on it. I love that design.

I'd probably wear a villain shirt to MGM. Maybe the evil queen or Mal but I love the villains more than the princesses (except Belle :goodvibes ).

Deb -

I LOVED your post in the big announcement thread - I spit my DIET COKE onto my computer screen!!

I visit here daily for the t-shirt thread, but before that moved over here I often came for crafting ideas or recipes and found that the forum was overrun with scrapbooking threads that I personally have no interest it. It would be nice to go to a specific sub forum and not have to wade through pages of irrelevent topics.

I've skipped to the end to post this but I promise I'll go back and read the 5 pages in between :guilty:

Day 1 MK: personalized Princess and Hero shirts for the kids; what for ME?

Why not have the Meg "Just a little bit sassy" pic? (I like that!) Or the princess "girls just wanna have fun" one? Or something with Tinkerbell?

For MGM how about a film star Minnie, or a Miss Piggy?

I would put things on the back for two reasons:

1) Saves you deciding between two designs you like

2) Helps you get into conversation with people behind you in the lines

I know it adds to your paper requirements, but you could probably find small things and just squeeze them into the corner of your paper. How about using the christmas decoration of the person on the front of the shirt? (If you see what I mean, you know the baubles with the hair/hats?)

Or your caption for your holiday

I can't wait to see pics of all your lovely shirts! :teeth: http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/data/500/73452familycastle-thumb.jpg (http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=6612)

Dizney-cruiser -- This is off the topic and probably a dumb question, but what is a circle journal?

dizney-cruiser
11-04-2005, 09:13 AM
i actually wish i never heard of a circle journal!! sadly im currently in three of them and one of the hosts is trying to convince me to be in a fourth - im trying to be strong!!

so i will use one of mine as an example:

i picked an 8 x 8 scrapbook and picked the them "favorite disney character" - i put the rules of the book in the beginning - told everyone i wanted them to scrap a two page layout on that theme and in my book they are allowed to use whatever techniques they want (some people dont like anything bulky in their book) - there is also a sign in page where each person scraps a tag - usually puts a picture of themselves and some basic info about them

so - then i scrap a two page layout on my theme and then i send it to the next person in the circle

most of them send out on the first of the month

so the first of each month i get a new journal and i normally scrap a two page layout in their book on their theme

there are normally 12 people in each circle - so at the end of a year i get my book back and it will have layouts on my theme done by each of the other 11 people in the circle

the neat thing about it is i have been learning a lot of scrapping techniques that i didnt know about before - and getting a lot of ideas that i never would have thought of

hope that helps - i know i took a little while to catch on in the beginning

Denise- How about getting some cute colorful daisy cipart (in the appropriate colors of course, ) and poutting your DD pic from shoulders up in the center of the diasy> You could make the daisies all different sizes and just place them randomly on the shirt- that aould be really cute (if you understand what I'm saying). Or put each daisy on a stem and across the front of the shirt in a line with her name etc. under al;l of them. Make it really simple looking.

Can someone tell me where this thread is you all are talking about?

About to start dressing the boys in their costumes and take their pictures. My friend bought 5 shirts at WalMart for me today (blue and LIME green!) for designs. I also used to drink Tab - haven't tried it since they put Splenda in it, but I absolutely love Fresca. Did you see that they now have flavored Fresca? Haven't tried it, I love the grapefruit zest of the original.

Wow, a person goes into the hospital for surgery, comes out 3 days later, and has to wade through almost 30 pages!!!!!!! You guys are too much! Anyway, I'm back. I know I don't post much, but I read and admire everything. Now that my surgery is over, DH is promising me a trip in the "not too distant" future. I've never been to WDW, and would like to go, but would probably need a guide or two. Anyone up to the task? J/K. I know you'd all jump through hoops of fire to go back to WDW. Seriously, though, if DH agrees and we start to plan a trip, can I count on you all to help me through the planning process? We won't be going for a year or so. Thanks for the kind words everyone!!!

Note that in 1998, a deer leaped out across the highway in the air it was, and slammed into my car, same spot, drivers quarter. Of course I was borrowing my brothers car! I paid 500.00 deductable for that and also nearly died! :guilty:

Once that happens, you never get over the feeling of things running out on the road and luckily I was on the ball!

It is actually a kinda funny story now! DH is a hunter and he called me at work and told me he "got one" yesterday. I love the guy, but I am not caring much about it, ya know. To me it's like, great, here goes some money for the butcher and the taxidermist :confused3 . My selfish self is like

So then this happens on the way home and it happened on the highway. I was lucky I saw it in the air and braked or it would of been in the window and I wouldn't be here! Soooooooo I call DH (who is gutting his catch ICK!) and say, hey, A DEER "JUST GOT ME" :rotfl:

I had another 30 minutes to home, I pulled off the highway, I checked the car and the wheels moved, seemed ok, so I tried to get home and I did ok with just a scraping noise when I turned hard. WHEW! This morning he got it banged out at the shop and it is ok to drive THANK GOD! So I am hoping to have it in the shop while I am gone on my trip. The deductable applys for 500.00! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA But I will take that over my LIFE!

So thats the whole story. It has been a deer filled day! I am working 14 hours today and more OT tomorrow, lack of sleep setting in too. But I am ALIVE!!

Here is a pic of the car, not too bad considering this deer was a full leap when it hit me!

http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/data/500/69714van-deero.jpg

PS I know hunting deer is not fun to think about, but these deer are really over populated now and they are starting to kill us.

That should give me plenty of time to plan, right?

Well, I need to go lay down for a while. Sutures are starting to pull. Thanks for all your cheer!

Welcome back! Wishing you a speedy recovery... and of COURSE we'll help you through the planning! You're in for a lot of fun.... hope it works out that you get to go!

Denise- I meant a whole new shirt- an alternative to the way you have her in the frames. wouldn't that be cute to put her costume pic inside the appropriate color daisies with her as the center of the daisy- then line the daisy's in a row. Does that help???

Could someone PLEASE stop stabbing me in the eye!?!?!? that's exactly what this sinus infection/toothache thing is doing to me right now! I'm in PAIN! STUPID INFECTION!

Miss Missy - I've been there. One year we got ran over by a reindeer. It hit the front driver side quarter panel and it's bumm hit the driver and passenger door in our mini van. The bad thing was we hadn't even made the first car paymnet. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I can laugh about it now. I'm just thankful no one was hurt. I'm glad you weren't hurt as well. PD coming your way that everything will work out fine.

To everyone who's been ill - I'm glad your all feeling better. Sending PD your way.

Hey all !
You've had a busy day, haven't you? I myself switching between doing the thirty day dance and hyperventaliting over all that's left to do!
Miss Missy- So sorry about your van and the deer! My mother has struck deer with her car on five different occasions (different cars)! (They live way out in the country.) Never been serious hurt, but scared.
Glynis- so glad to hear from you. You keep on recovering. If laughter is the best medicine, this is a great place for you.
KristineN- Break a leg!t
Karebear- Sinus infection! They are the worst. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:
Marti- so glad you're back!

Hey, I did pretty well at that. Trying to motivate DH to print out a few designs for me to iron this weekend. The printer hates me. I'll try to post pics sometime soon.
This time next month I'll be at Chef Mickey's!! :cool1:

I appreciate all the well-wishes. Unfortunately, my surgery was on my stomach, so laughing hurts. It feels good mentally, but physically, ouch! I can't complain too loudly, though. I did this to myself. I just had gastric bypass. It was a really hard decision, but I really decided I want to be around to raise my kids. My mom just went through 7 bypasses, double knee replacement, and type 2 diabetes. I don't want to go through that. I've tried for 14 years to lose weight, and due to a medical condition I have I just can't lose. So this was my option. Once I hit my goal weight, DH said I can have the trip of my choosing. So, I'll be coming to you all for advice.

Sorry this is OT. Hope no one's offended.

Hey, on this thread we talk about what we want, don't be sorry!

My Mom had the surgery Jan 2002, she lost 100 ish lbs! She did well with it, but at one point, taken care of her dying brother, she lost herself in caring for him and gained 15-20lbs back. Now she is losing that again. This is a risk as I am sure you know.

Just take care of yourself and do what the DR says! Drink those carnations as I am sure you will be doing for a while!

Miss Missy - First yuck..what a picture! :earseek: Who would even think to try such a thing? Ouch!
Glad you & your car are o.k!!

Marti - Glad to see you up & back at the pc..Hope you are feeling 100% soon.

Glynis - Sounds like you made a difficult decision. Hope you recover quickly & you get the results you were hoping for! :wizard:

Karebear1 -Get well soon!

First of all I love this thread. :grouphug:

Using the designs that we used for our shirts provided great comments. We had designs on the front of all of them. Having designs on the back provided us to turn around to further explain the theme of the shirt. Go with your own gut feelings on using what design you want. It will mean so much to you personally when the compliments come.

miss missy- we live in an area where deer sometimes cross the road so I know what you mean. I always slow down cause I just do not want to have one kiss my car :worried: That picture you took I swear is just how I look and feel when I have a migraine or sinus infection  OHHH I feel the pain.

eeyore--speaking of migraines--I found out that Equal attributed to my number of migraines,,,since i stopped using it, they have lessened but now if I get near any really bad smells,,bleach, cleaning products, obnoxious perfumes I am down for the count :headache:

Glynis--feel better,,,hug a pillow when you laugh-----
Uh Hi My name is Terry and I am applying for the job of being your Disney trip planner ::yes::

Minnie Mouse Mom---cute Goliath

KMH1--best looking Dalmations I have ever seen and probabily the calmest :p

CheriePenguin--if you use a cutting board---remember it gets very hot

macntosh- again, your family is just beautiful

disney every year--your DS11 shows great care for family

triplefigs--love your home--regarding the potato salad--i use a mixture of regular and red potatos and it always turns out great. My kids insist that I always bring it to any party. I am so happy when their friends come up and the first thing they say is --hi Mrs H, did you bring the potato salad?---just remember- do not color it orange for Halloween--just does not look the same

mgkkgdm-- the last line should be --yeah we screwed up but Damn that was fun -can we do it again?

Clare--happy wedding--many years of laughter and love :flower3:

Tammi67--hold on to them, they grow up so very fast...i find myself living thru my kids eyes as my grandsons are now in the picture.

disney cruiser--hope you can keep up with us

my3princes---as I was reading your post, my mind kept wandering off as to something I was supposed to do, and when I came back, it still wasn't done

mommykds--happy 14th and many many more

marti,,hope you feel better soon

karebear1--I nominate Steffy--she needs serious attention, she wants to go back already. I am supposed to be her devil's advocate and try to talk her out of it cause she really knows she should not go just now (besides she didn't mention taking me WHAAAAAA) and she will not listen to me :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
also try drinking wine,,,with an infection, if you can sleep who cares what you drink?
