Check for locations there. If there isn't one near you, get in the car and start driving!!!!! Seriously, you don't know what you're missing.

As for lamination or a laminator, last year I got one at Staples on Black Friday that was free after rebate. It is a hot laminator, it laminates up to 8 1/2 by 11 in paper. Would do longer if you can find the lamination for it. I got a pack of about 180 assorted lamination pieces at BJ's for $18.

Thanks! I will. For our last trip, I made Ben an ID card for each park (yes they were themed! On one side was a picture. On the other side was graphics ... but it also had his name .. our names,,, our hotel ... and our cell phone numbers.

Great - I did a search and the highest mileage was 150. There are no Chik-Fil-As within 150 miles of my house. :guilty:

MOVE!!!!!.............OR......Denise and I can bring you some when we see you at the airport in Atlanta. I will check 'cause there might be one in the foodcourt at the airport.

I've decided St Nicholas is going to give the boys their T-shirts (Christian is having the Crush one, Josef Indiana Jones). Still puzzling on the sweatshirts - Christmas Eve from me or Christmas Day from Santa?

More wear vs possibility of spoiling the magic?

BTW its :cold: today - supposed to be 7 degrees C but I think its much colder! Nice and sunny though :teeth:

Christian is much perkier today, made "santa" cookies (and has eaten some) plus actually asked for lunch (ate nothing yesterday). He's wilting a bit now so I might get him to lay down for a bit.

All that talk about food last night -- now I'm going to crave Chick-fil-A, so I might as well decide to have that for lunch today! (Also love that they serve Diet Dr. Pepper -- they used to be one of the only fast food places that had it!)

Can't do CFA tonight -- going to see the Dallas Stars play and our tradition is El Fenix before the game, since it's very close to where we park.

Ya'll have a great day today!

Dh is going to love that. I told him he needs to get his own username and join us. He said he'd have to be KitchenSink Guy. And after I wished him a happy b-day this morning he said that I should hurry and log on to Wish Mickey and Minnie a happy birthday too. I think I've almost got him addicted. He could join Paul and Kevin in guy talk. :rotfl: I've already got him wearing the T-shirts. He should know that resistance is futile.

I hate airports, I hate flying. The only good thing about flying is that we go to WDW!!

Strange, I know, but I ADORE flying. I don't mind waiting in airports, I love taking people and picking them up just to go ...

I dont know what it is, but I've always wanted to fly a plane so I'm obsessed!

For years now, it's been on my "list of things to do before I die" to get my pilot's license. NOT the whole commercial jet thing.... I'm not THAT into it! But I've just always wanted to .... :confused3. DH even took me on an "introductory flight lesson" as part of his proposal and I got to 'fly' a Cessna (with help, of course  ).

I know..... I'm probably TOTALLY alone in this one :rotfl2:

Well there you go :) My family thinks I'm nuts, too. We're flying SEVERAL times throughout December and January for interviews and my mom swears I'll get sick of it.... I would bet her this trip to the World that I don't. :goodvibes

I have a classmate who is a flight attendant and she loves flying, but hates going through all the airports.

Not this girl.... I was stoked to see that I'll be in two "new" airports when we travel. I seem to fly through the same ones, so that made my day. DH just doesn't get it .... :rotfl:

I've just washed both DS's t-shirts that I did for Christian's birthday, and the transfers have gone slightly crinkly - not gracked, just scrumpled-looking. Yes an old T of mine, which I put a small tink on (squeezed from Christian's page) as a test has washed up fine :confused3

The only difference is that I tumbled mine, but the boy's T's said do not tumble try (cheap Primark s**t  )

Now I'm worrying about the pillowcases and T's from St Nicholas - all washed and ready, transfers printed, just need Christian back at school out of the way  and wondering whether to bother with sweatshirts (but I REALLY want to do them)

Any suggestions?

Not as well as I had hoped, pretty short days at the park, but she held up. I will add new pics once they are uploaded.

Mya had a ball, we met Julia's Belle at StoryTime, but she was a little standoffish. Mya did get her own princess wrapped around her finger though. Jasmine at Akershus's came back three time's and sang to her Whole New World. She said that if we needed a baby sitter to let her know.

We ran into her one our last day at WDW and while she was standing in line Jasmine said. "Oh it's my very favorite princess" in front of other girls. She then caught herself hoping she didn't say it too loud. Alladin told her she did, but don't worry about it. They had a few more minutes togethor before we had to catch the fireworks.

Mya, became a pin trader as well and got some really cool stuff. She had a blast I think and is sleeping again now to recover.

Amy - I know what you mean - not about Chik Fil-A (we don't have them here) but feeling miserable. There is one television show I like to watch each week - Survivor. Don't ya know the phone rings at 7:59... its my dad. DHunka Hunka asks if I want him to Tivo it. Stupidly I say no - don't worry I'll be off the phone soon. No Tivo. Friend calls with a real problem and I can't rush her off the phone (I did the right thing and actually listened!!) and say to myself, don't worry, DH is Tivoing it. Get off the phone at 9:03 and find out it wasn't Tivo'd. Not DH's fault, I did tell him nevermind. But did I think I was going to be on the phone FOR AN HOUR????? NOOOOOOO. DH tells me who gets voted off, but I told him it didn't really matter without knowing all the dirt. So now, I, an adult, am stinking miserable OVER A DUMB TV SHOW! And to top it off, I think I'm more mad at myself for being mad because ITS A DUMB TV SHOW!. Please help this :guilty: turn into :teeth:

Was this last night's show, Marti? 11/17? If so, I have it on tape if you want to see it. DH has me tape all 3 hours of CBS Thursday night tv. No TIVO at our house.

That's right. Kitchensink Guy told me on November 16th 2002 that if I didn't have Colby on the 17th I would have to keep him in until the 19th because he didn't want to share his birthday with him. "Everyone should have his/her own special day". Did I mention that his birthday should be a national holiday :rotfl: I must say though that he enjoys sharing his day with Mickey and Minnie. I actually have a photo of Chris (Kitchensink Guy) and Mickey and Minnie together on their birthday back in 2001. That is probably his favorite photo.

MCO? Is that near a SWA gate??

Since I'm still behind, I'm sure someone has responded, but in case not...there is a Chick-Fil-A at MCO. It is in the main food court in the center of the main terminal. It is outside of security. After you come across the tram you would keep going out of secturity and past the area where you turn to go to baggage claim. It is just ahead in he middle of the airport.

They have the black lights and pizza and soda and prizes. My whole family goes. I think there will be 11 of us. Wish I had thought of T-shirts for that earilier. That would have been very cool.

deb
DS (4) was just invited to a glow in the dark birthday party. I'd love to make him a glow shirt, but I wonder if the birthday mom would get mad? I'm also thinking about using the glow in the dark paint to make him (the birthday boy) a card and also decorate the wrapping paper or bag for the gift.

Denise - I'm so glad to hear that the surgeries went well. I hope the kids got to enjoy their Thanksgiving freast today! Also, your tree is beautiful! I am dying to have a big full tree again, but alas I'll stick with my skinny one until we get a house and are more settled.

macntosh - Welcome back! I hope DW was feeling better quickly. I'm glad that DD got to meet her own special princess.

All sick kiddos - :wizard: for feeling better quickly!!!!

Happy birthday Colby and KSG (Sorry KSG, you'll have to share the wish with Colby since I didn't make it yesterday.)

As for me, we leave in 4.5 days!!!! DD and I picked designs for our colors the other night (note to self...don't rely on a 2yo to try to pick designs from a group of 20 :) ). The ink is purchased. Now to just find time to go to the laundry mat, finish the Christmas shopping that has to be taken with us, print the transfers, make the shirts, pack, etc, etc, etc.

Yes, I put them in baggies. Non-breakable on the bottom for a cushion and breakable on top. Pack the top with tissue paper. Seal the box and store it. Works great!
Are they just regular zippy bags or something special? I do mine in a big storage container with the inserts for ornaments (like icecube tray thingies) but you can't really get a whole lot in one container. I might try your idea.

Just regualar sandwich bags (not ziplock). The trick is to just lay them in the box gently (non breakable on bottom).

When you put them in the bags just leave a little air inside it. If there isn't enough air, seal it almost shut then insert a straw and blow some air in. This is what I do with my very special ornaments (some I even wrap in bubble wrap first).

I also have the ornament box like you do. I wrap the ornaments carefully and stack them up inside the "squares".

Now I'm really jealous of that! We have a 3yo Sony digital that takes Memory Sticks. Apparently they have changed to Memory Stick PRO cards now and ours is a model that won't work with the PROs. Now I have to either hunt down some cards by Wednesday or take my laptop with me to download. It's not like I don't already have enought travelling for 12 days alone with a 2yo. :) Just promise you won't be the person behind me at security grumbling because I take awhile to put the carryons, carseat, laptop and folded stroller on the conveyor belt all while trying to talk Terra into staying right by me...luckily that's usually the easy part (knock on wood).

If anyone wants it -- it's just a Word doc. It's 2 pages. I print side 1 and then flip the paper over to print side 2. All you really have to do is fill in the blanks.

I used cold laminate (Wal-Mart_ for mine last tme -- but they fall apart when wet. I'm going to use the hot laminate this time. (Staples - $1 per page)

I was due with dd on dh's birthday. She came 6 days late, and I'm sure it's because he put some sort of hex on me (or her). He feels the same way as Kitchen Sink Guy.

PNO4TE and Tammi - What are your trip schedules?

Jennifer -- Since we are 4 "adults" traveling, I am sure our kind of itinerary is less set than you guys with little ones. Epcot is also our all time favorite park and we spend more time there than anywhere else. When we took our Girls Only trip in October we went to MK for MNSSHP and Epcot all the rest of the time. Also, since DD19 is a theatre performance major and comedy is what she loves, we will spend at least 3 nights at the Comedy Warehouse. :rotfl:

But, for what it is worth...

12/17 - drive to Dulles, fly to MCO, check into Pop Century :sunny: :teeth: :sunny:

12/18 - Epcot (lunch at Restaurant Marrakesh), MVMCP (girls ony!) :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

12/19 - move to Wilderness Lodge, late lunch at Biergarten, DD and Comedy Warehouse :rotfl:

12/20 - friends from home coming for lunch at Whispering Canyon, MVMCP (everyone this time, and hoping to see Tammi!) :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

12/21 - Epcot, late lunch at Rose & Crown :drinking1

12/22 - MK (a.m.), Beaches & Cream early dinner, Osborne Lights at MGM :3dglasses

12/23 - AK, lunch at Tusker House, DD and Comedy Warehouse :rotfl:

12/24 - 6:45 Candlelight Processional, 8:00 dinner at Le Cellier :charac2: :rolleyes1 :charac2:

Does anyone have any ideas outside of eBay to find a Feathersword? Terra has told Santa that she wants a Feathersword for Christmas, but apparently they stopped selling them sometime this past year. I'm afraid that the eBay prices are going to quickly get out of hand so I'd love to find another option. Any thoughts?

What a beautiful way to spend Christmas Eve!!! Try to get some hot chocolate over between England and Canada. I don't know why, but its the best hot chocolate in the world!!

Marti --

When I was a child we always read the Nativity story in the Bible on Christmas Eve, and DH and his family always went to midnight mass. Since we started our tradition of being at WDW for Christmas we have always done it this way. This is our 10th CP on Christmas Eve.

I will have to look out for the hot chocolate between England and Canada. Is it in that little kiosk set back in beside Off Kilter's stage? Near the old Millennium Village building?

Marti,
On the Outdoor Life Network--- OLN they have been showing past survivor shows from each season. Of course since this is a current season, it will be a while, but I have had a good time watching past seasons again. Also on the Game Show Network --GSN they have been showing past seasons of The Amazing Race, so I have been able to catch shows I had not seen or might have missed something last time.

My ds was a pirate 2 years ago & I didn't like the idea of him taking a sword to preschool so I hot glue gunned on multicolored feathers from the craft store on a plastic toy sword (covered the whole "metal looking" part of the sword with feathers..only saw the handle...worked out great & we got some nice comments on it.

PNO4TE
Feathersword is a character on the wiggles..actually he is Captain Feathersword. He is a funny pirate that has a sword with feathers rather than a blade since the Wiggles are geared to the preschool set. pirate:

That's true -- its the memories that I may have made it to be so great. We were at CP and it was under 30 degrees -- we really didn't expect it to get that cold!!! I had on a jacket but had to buy mittens and we both got the hot chocolate. Steamy, chocolatey, and perfect when you're cold. We just didn't expect our Florida vacation to be so cold, but it was perfect for viewing all the Christmas decorations. We'd really like to be there on Christmas Day - that would be great.

Where we work we are involved with our city's celebration of New Years Eve. Tomorrow we are going to have a press conference with a few of our sponsors. One of them will be Kelloggs and it was announced they needed someone to be Tony the Tiger. After about 30 minutes, I offered to do it. I loved the different characters at DW. I wanted to be any of them. Steffy will tell you about my running up to the character bus at Epcot. I DID NOT run anyone over :teeth: Yeah I did want to be a flight attendant at one time, but this looks like it would be fun. So this Grandma (Omi) aged 55 will be Tony tomorrow. OK I tried to log out and get Chris his own screen name, but every time I hit register it says that I'm already registered as my3princes. Does anyone know how to actually log out and get a second username? If not I guess we'll have to share like Kevin and Amy.

Deb

yes, log out and clear your cookies! all of them. And you'll need a different email too.

We're going to see the Wiggles tomorrow! I love them. The music is fun, and my kids adore them too. BTW, Anthony was looking pretty good last year when we went. :rotfl:

OMG - we really were seperated at birth - Anthony is my favorite Wiggle!!! Although I think I might not be his "type" if you know what I mean!!!!

He doesn't care cause the Tooth Fairy is making her first appearance tonight! We had no idea it was that loose. Went to brush his teeth and it had obviously just come out. If I'd known, I would have gotten him a Disney Dollar from the tooth fairy to spend in 2 weeks. I'm so sad that my little boy is really growing up. His other bottom tooth is hanging on barely, so it'll be out soon. BK has one loose. Davis none, and he is MAD 'cause he wasn't first!

OK - pony up - its his first tooth!! Give him $5 and leave a note from the tooth fairy that he should spend it in WDW. Make sure the kids realize the $5 is for the FIRST TOOTH ONLY!! Besides, you're going to give him money to spend in Disney, so you may be actually saving money by giving it to him from the TF.

funny tooth fairy story - my niece decided to test my sister and didn't tell her she lost a tooth - it stayed there for 3 nights before she told - so then my niece tells my sister she knows there is no tooth fairy - sister told her that she wouldn't say that again if she ever wanted the tooth fairy to visit again... then my niece said I do believe in Santa though - cause you might leave $2 under my pillow but I know there is NO way you would buy me all that stuff!!! :rotfl:

Our school district is having an extended Christmas break because we are moving into a new High School and they need an extra 2 weeks. I was going to take ds20 on his first trip to WDW. He will still be on college break then. We were planning on going Jan 8 - 14. He told me tonight that he can't get off work. BUMMING NOW!

Maybe I can talk Dsis into letting me take her 4 yr. old. The only problem is they are in North Carolina and I'm here in Illinois.

I have kept my kids teeth. Hunter (ds8) pulled his first 2 teeth only to lose them both times. Once on the lawn at my parents house while showing them the tooth and I don't remember where he lost the 2nd one. Both times he left a note for the tooth fairy explaining the situation and got his money. I don't have those teeth to keep. Oh well he's got plenty more to lose.

The tooth fairy left $5 for all teeth in my house. My daughter cried when she lost her first tooth because she wanted to keep it in. She doesn't like change. I thought I would do $5 for that tooth to ease the pain but she was so excited I could not go down on the next ones. I figure 20 teeth spread out over time is still only $100. They lose 8 pretty quickly and then I think there is a couple of years to recover before they start losing again. I keep all the teeth (pack rat) and my DD is already falling in my footsteps. She wrote the Tooth Fairy a note asking her to leave the teeth.

I am glad the surgery went so well.

All of the DDA sickness has spread as streph throat to my house. Yuck but at least it is treatable quickly.

This reminds me of a story. Oh - warning: may be suitable for moms and nurse-types only

I took care of a little boy a few weeks ago (about 4) who was TOTALLY hung up on a nurse that had visited in the morning (to get a few samples). I've got a finger sucker so if you figure it out - let me know!!

Julia realized the week of her 2nd birthday - that I gave her her binky for two reasons - to stop her from crying and to put her to bed - so one day everytime I tried to give it to her - she threw it out - I never had a struggle with her - she was not willing to give up her tantrums for a binky!! :rotfl: Luckily - she doesn't REALLY know how to throw a good tantrum - although she is much better at them now then when she was 2!!!

Nick on the other hand came out sucking his middle and forefinger and hasn't stopped since
