Glad the french site is coming in useful as additional ammunition to feed our DDA!
Midnite - the Watch out I'm 2 image is great! As usual :0)
I just got my Photoimpact delivered today so now I have a manual I'm gonna get creative :0)
{ps I'm just listening to the disney podcast - you don't need an ipod (dreadful things) just a PC and download some software from itunes - check it out it's got history and gossip and it's quite an interesting listen http://www.disneyworldtrivia.com/mousetunes.php}

Has anyone used Burlington or Printworks transfer paper?
If so how does it work?
An A.C. Moore is having a grand opening here and has those 2 brands in their add for 1/2 off....$5.49
Also Hanes t-shirts 5 for $10.
If I hear good things about those transfer papers I'm going to go by there tomorrow and pick some up!! :flower:
What was the verdict on the paper? I think the sale is until Tuesday (here in NY). I am going to get the courage up to make a shirt this week. Everyones designs are wonderful.

OK, I have my photo impact up and running. (I bought it). I am trying to modify this picture (I am sorry, I don't know who did it)
http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a75/chaos510/4Parks.jpg
I made the following changes, changed the picture of WL, added a frame and changed the style & color of writing. Now this has taken me about 4 hours to do, but I have learned alot while doing it. The only thing I have not figured out is how to put the clouds background in the picture? Can the person who first did the picture, please tell me how they did it? & to the person who originally did the picture. Thanks you sooo much. I wanted to learn photoimpact and this has given my a fine opportunity to do that.
I also didn't add the WL logo in as I need to erase the background and then do it.
So all i need to do is a cool background & I don't know how to do that. :badpc: :badpc: Obviously, that isn't my fault, it's the computers. :rotfl2:
http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a75/chaos510/Life.jpg
Also, the pin trading minnie/mickey isn't as clear. :badpc: :badpc:
Please help :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:
Thanks, Penny

I don't need a shirt like this, but I had an idea for one to parody the Food and Wine Festival. I was thinking it could feature Timon and Pumba and say something about it being Epcot's Grub and Glurg Festival. Anyone want to translate that into a graphic?

OK, so it isn't an original idea. I admit I blatently took someone else's idea. No shame, I say, No shame. :cool1:
But I did it from scratch. I can't believe it. I set the background, did the frame, imported the picture and did my name.
Still haven't found those stupid clouds. But I did one. Now I am going to try and do one all on my own. Unfortunately, you guys are all so talented, I can't help but steal at least a little idea or two. :earboy2:

Ok, I have a ? for all you experts. I have started making my shirts and have run into a problem. The 4x6 size fits DD's shirts great, but when I use the full 81/2 x 11 sheet for dh's it looks like a midget picture on him. I have to use a 2x shirt for him. He is a very big guy, looks like a pro football player. The first shirt I made was Midnites PC design. To make it look "bigger" I added phrases from the resort buildings like Word, Totally Awesome ect. I'm not sure what to do with some of the other designs though. Anyone else having this problem? Am I doing something wrong?

Haven't checked out the thread for the last couple of hours as I've been working on another creation. Looks like we've added a couple new excellent graphic artists! And of course, more great designs from J&Ns Mom.
Alright, my last four park design was not DW's favorite. So, this is probably going to be our second shirt for our October trip. Although I'll probably have three for myself cause I liked the orange background on my last one.

I LOVE this!! Whenever people ask me why I go so much, I tell them it's my "happy place"!!
Can you change the wording for me from OUR happy place to MY happy place? And would you happen to have a picture of the Earful Tower to use in the MGM design. I am just partial to it over the hat.
Thanks!

I have TransferMagic paper from Hobby Lobby. It was 14 sheets for $11.99. The transfers went on great. I hope they wash well. I just did my first on dark fabric. It was the POC on a black t. pirate: It looks great. I can't post pics yet. The transferMagic paper has some Hanes OOps proof card. You can send them the shirt that didn't come out and they will take it back if it's a hanes shirt. It also has a Hanes t-shirt maker program to download for free. I haven't yet though. I got DS & DD Hanes long sleeve shirts for $3.99 at Hobby Lobby.
My middle son Hunter's room is done in Winnie the Pooh's Blustery day theme. He has loved Pooh since birth and as he grew older we redid his room in Spiderman, but he hated it so we redid it in pooh again.

I'm loving that Pooh design it's great :cheer2:
Ok...I am clueless about this t-shirt thread but have LOVED checking out all the designs. I tried to search for a design incorporating a guest's own 50th birthday celebration with Disney's 50th but was not successful. So many pages, so little time! Because we are going during the Food and Wine Festival, I may work that theme into the shirt, too. I think I've settled on the wording (will post when i work it out for sure...it's clever!) but would love some creative help with graphics. So can anyone point me to 50th Birthday AND/OR Food and Wine designs (preferably both) on this site?

MidNite has done quite a few beautiful 50 years designs - click on the t shirt link under her name.
J&N's Mom does fabulous work also, click the hyperlink in her signature to go to her site.
HayGan did a beautiful wine theme on page 267.
Also on page 264 click on the hyper link in Lady Luca's & Beiji signature. They also have some great ideas.
Last but not least, there is a tips page that will have most the shirts on there. Baloo is working on it and it should be out shortly. Good Luck, Penny

"MINNIE" THANKS!
I have two food and wine designs

Thanks everyone! My favorite is the Food and Wine with Donald and Mickey...best of both WORLDS, right? (special thanks, J and N's Mom) Now i'll just have to figure out how to get this done with my very limited computer graphics skills...and how the birthday theme (mine!)and the wording I want to use (play on words using ZIP A DEE DOO DAH intro) can be incorporated wtihout making it too busy.

OK I took Mrs Squirel's advice and resisted the urge to start cutting out the designs and make T's at 11:50PM. I got up early this morning and made the T's for our August trip. I may need to make 1 more (or more if I see one's I can't resist). So our crew is me, DS(4 1/2), Dfriend who has gone to Disney with me & my kids 3 times already and will go again in October, her DH who loves Disney and has stayed home those 3 trips and hasn't been in years, and their DS(almost 15). I am leaving DH, DD(6) and DD(2 1/2) at home. My DS really needs some mom time and my DD(6) took the news this weekend a lot better than I was expecting. It helps that I made arrangements for her to stay with my Dsis and her DD(12) for 2 nights. I told DD I would bring her home something special-I was thinking of a charm bracelet that she can add to when we go in October and over the years but she asked me to bring her home a Sleeping Beauty pen.
So here are the photos:
All 5 All Star Movies T's for our arrival day. I think they came out great. I used Old Navy T's for all and Avery transfer for light colored T's. I cut around the design with scissors. I think they look great. I had a T for my son that matched the men's Old Navy T's but the maroon trim on the T I used for his matches the design perfectly.

I made T's for every day for my friend's DH as a "thank you" for letting her go with us on all those trips while he stayed home with their kids (they've also got a DD(21) and DS(19).
SO...here are T's for our Magic Kingdom day. Friend's DH is going on the Key's to the Kingdom Tour so I thought the Thanks Walt T would be perfect. There is some sort of "blotch" on this T. Don't know what happened. It kinda looks like a flag on the castle (well a brown flag). This is also an Old Navy T (on sale for $5 now-I think I paid $7.50).

Here's the T for Dfriend's DH. Now thats it all made and looks great I'm worried that it might be too big. Its a Lanesboro T I bought at BJ's for $6.50. Its a really nice quality T but HUGE. I didn't notice how big til I held it up against the Old Navy T's. I'm really afraid my friend will be too HOT in this T-black and lots of fabric. It came out great so I'm sure he'll wear it at home but I'm not so sure he'll wear it at Disney????? I used a transfer for dark shirts from Micheals. It was just a 3 pack and I had a 40% off coupon. One more thing on this T-I put a thumb print on this design because the ink took a long time to dry on this paper-much longer than the light colored transfers. And as others have already said with this type of transfer you don't reverse the printing. This transfer said you could draw on the paper with crayons too.

Not sure what park we will do this last day-AK or go back to MK or Epcot. My friend's DH & DS will not have hoppers. I was going to make a 4 park design but I think it must be on my computer at work and I can't find it now. I was going to surprise him with this shirt at the airport for the trip home (or for the ME ride back to the airport). I think that might still be a good idea as this is also a Lanesboro T which looks like it will be HOT HOT HOT. I think the design looks great.

The transfers for Dark T's you print onto the sheet without reversing the print. You cut around the image and then peel the backing off and you have sort a plastic like film that you put on the T, cover that with a sheet of parchment paper and press. Anything that you don't cut off will be white so it is probably easiest to do a design with a clean line border like the Mission Mickey I did.

Maybe your stadium one on one side and an Even Mickey loves the Packers on the other.(Is there one out there? Minniemousemom, is that you?) I thought I'd get some plain fabric to iron them on and then sew them together. Now if I could only find some Packer material for a ruffle. You guys so rock! I did this one in the paint program. Could not get it to work in photoimpact. So if you have the paint program you just open it up, enlarge in at the bottom a little and fill in the enlarged area with black. You then take the eye dropper and fill up the blue color close to the Mickey philharmagic lettering and then use the paint brush to go over the words. Then you take the airbrush and airbrush that whole area. Put your text at the bottom where you enlarged it.

I managed to make lots of t-shirts this weekend. I made some on vest tops, some on t-shirts and some on long sleeved t-shirts. I am going to make another BCV one tomorrow using Midnites design wth the DVC BCV logo underneath.
The place I store my photos won't allow pictures to be copied from it so here is a link. They are mostly Midnites and J&Smoms designs (thanks guys!) I am really pleased with the way the turned out. I especially like the Epcot one as I like the t-shirt I found to put it on. I put a small lime green Mickey on the back of each of them.
Heres the link

These are my first attempts...I can usually come up with the design, it's the wording of things that always get me. so let's try this....

If you right click on the photo (or red x if you can't see it....) and choose Properties you can get the "address" for the photo. Copy that into your browser and you can view the photos that way.

your shirts are great -
would you like the castle to be less blurry -
here is a larger version of it
it is really important when looking for photos and clipart to make sure it is big - IMO - it needs to be at least 400 pixels tall to work on a shirt design

All 5:

But I haven't figured out how I can get a clear background onto a shirt so that just the writing appears. I'm using Print Shop 2.0. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Much like Chaoscent, I am learning how to use the Photoimpact software by modifying what everyone else is doing. So, thank you to everyone!!
I'm not sure who all I need to give credit to for this one. I used the black and white castle and the character clipart. I can proudly say that the moon is all mine!!!
Question for those that know how to use Photoimpact. I saved this as a work in progress and when I opened it the next time, all of the layers had merged. So basically, I can't edit the text or really any thing else. Does anyone know how to fix or avoid this problem?

Great job! BTW, that's my castle shot (but somebody else removed the people for me). To save it so you can modify it later, just save it as a UFO.

you saved it as a jpeg - when you save it - you should save it as a Photimpact file (extension ufo)
Of Course!! I did that so that I could open on other computers! Lesson Learned!! You are better than the help files!!

Thanks! I love your shot of the castle!! It makes the perfect background for everything! I loved the reversed image of the castle!!
Believe it or not, I use to have a darkroom in my basement and could do this same affect with light and chemicals! I love digital but, I still miss the old fashion way!

Just wanted to say I PM'd you...I love the design you made for me....for my friends wedding (Kim and Tiffani). BUT I just found out I gave you the wrong spelling of the name. If you could please change Tiffani's name to spell TIFFANI....no "ie" and no "e"...just "I". Sorry for the goof.

I managed to make lots of t-shirts this weekend. I made some on vest tops, some on t-shirts and some on long sleeved t-shirts.
Heres the link

Hi Karen - they all look great! It's very odd but I've read so many of your posts before and never noticed your location - then I spotted you'd bought your tees in George! How are they for feel and ironing designs on? I've been buying some from primark but they have elastine in them and I'm not sure how well the iron on stuff will work.
Also which brand did you use? I picked some up form smiths (own brand) but haven't tested it out yet.

The t-shirts have worked out well. I got the paper from 3 places. I got some from WHSmiths and some from Tesco, but they were the same brand (they had squares on the back of the paper.) These turned out well, although the paper did tear in some places when I was peeling t off, but it came off OK in the end. The transfer tself seems to be thicker which is good. I bought some off ebay and the back turns another colour when it is ready whch is useful. This paper peels easier. I also bought some from ebay for dark tops which you print on the correct way around, peel it off and then iron on wth some paper over the top. This has worked out great too, but it is trickier to do.
The t-shirts I bought were mostly 100% cotton. Some had lycra in but they worked out well too.

Yes.I'd like for y'all to start using the entire CC&S Board then there will be no need to wade through the pages and pages of this thread anymore.
If you have a question or posting new designs etc. please start using the CC&S Board.
I know it's going to take a few days getting use to having a WHOLE board and not just a thread but I know y'all will get the hang of it! ;)
I have a welcome thread started, don't be shy, come on in and say hello! :flower:

designs should go in the design thread but I am not sure where else!

Just back from Rite Aid.
T-shirts 5/$10.00 on sale.
They are 100% cotton.
Very poor quality.
Thin I wouldn't use them.
They are the cheap kind you wash 1 time & they are all out of shape.
Did check out Michael's.
T-shirts $2.99 each on sale.
They are 50/50 cotton polyester.
Heavy weight Jerzees.
I'm thinking of using these.
Paper says to use 100% cotton.
Will it be Ok to use a 50/50?
I have enough paper to do 4 more designs.

Aarrgh!!!! I have spent days reading this thread trying to catch up. It was around 200 pages when I started and is over 280 now that I have finally finished! AND now it morphs into an entire BOARD?!?! Aarrgh!
Kudos to all those who have posted designs - they are all fantastic. Now, I just need to get started on my own!
Just a few thoughts that I have been holding onto as I read the whole thing...
For those going in early December - from over 10 years of visiting WDW the 1st weekend of December - most of the time the weather is gorgeous. Maybe a little cool in the evening and early morning, but a little layering works great. HOWEVER, there was that year that it was well below freezing! The orange groves all froze and Disney gardeners were frantically replacing plants in the parks. We were very grateful for our long pants, jackets and even scarves & mittens that year. Assume the weather will be nice, but then pack one warm outfit "just in case"!
There hasn't been much said about Paint Shop Pro. This is certainly another alternative for this type of design. It is very similar to Photoshop and has most of the same features. Although most professional graphics folks normally use Photoshop, a lot of "prosumer" graphics people use Paint Shop Pro since it has most of the same features and costs less. I have been using it for years for photo editing and recently started using it for digital scrapbooking. Just wanted to mention it for those who are still choosing which program to use....
Once again - great job on the designs everyone! This thread is the internet at its best!!!!!!!
