OK - so I read how to fix my problem with pictures. I opened a photobucket account and here goes. Wish I had known tripod wouldn't work before I opened that one Oh well. Someone wanted just the colts Mickey

Mrs. Squirrel - yep Bourbonnais is just south of us (about 5 min). We go there for everything - Manteno doesn't have a whole lot. My parents live in Indy to (Carmel) and my older Bro. in Noblesville and my Sis in Fishers. It's a small world (sorry for those of you now stuck with it in your heads).

I tried to print Beijis lime green mickeys for my sleeves, and my printer won't print lime green. they print a weird green, not even close to lime.
I tried too and they came out yellow. Beiji how did you get yours lime green?
Beiji
08-17-2005, 11:43 AM
Beiji - question here. I also have a Mac and am just learning how to take digital pictures. I am using just Appleworks and iPhoto right now as I am learning . What else do I need to make my own shirt designs?
Well, I don't use Appleworks, but I think you should be able to create designs using it. I just quickly opened it and was able to import one of my Mickeys and to create some shapes. So, you should have no trouble importing your digital photos. There's even a Magic Wand tool for quick selecting and erasing. If you find a Mac equivalent of PhotoImpact let me know. Good luck and don't forget to post your designs!

I printed mine days ago and they are all a wonderful shade of Lime green. I suspect that it may be printer issues.

I'm glad some people could see the pics originally - strangely enough sometimes I could and sometimes I couldn't. Who knows?
I think we all have issues and need to join DDA if now we're thinking of getting new printers just to print lime green mickeys (mine had better print right but at least we have 2 printers - one should work!!)
OK here's a ? for you bears fans - is it soldier's field, soldiers field or just soldier field?

:rotfl: that's exactly what i was worrying about! I have two :cat::cat: and the hairs just get EVERYWHERE!
We have two dogs, one white and one black so no mater what color shirt you always see hair on it. I iron my shirt and then use one of those sticky rolling lint rollers to remove hair. then I iron on transfer. The one time I skipped the lint roller step (I thought all the hair was off) I got a black hair stuck underneath a transfer right in the white spot and it drives me crazy!

I have a Canon i470D Photo printer. I also imported the images into Printshop to resize so that is the program I printed from. The lime green printed just as on screen and the ones that had the rainbow outline printed the rainbow colors clearly. For those of you having difficulty with the Mickey Heads are the rest of your transfers printing the colors that you expected?

Well, I just made 3 tshirts for DD! They came out great! I made them on the shirts that I had to dye first and they didn't have a problem. I made Midnites PC one on a yellow shirt and then I made J&N's moms Happiest Celebration with the princesses on a pink shirt and then another princess design by J&N's mom that I changed the wording on also on a pink shirt! If I can get the card reader working on this laptop I'll post some pictures later. Thanks again ladies!

Well, now i have a dilemma, I also designed a shirt (I've become obsessed with learning PhotoImpact!!!), so now I.ve got 3 designs and I don't know which one to use!! :confused3
The only problem that I have with the shirt I designed is that the whites of Tink's eyes are green because it is picking up the background, and I can't figure out how to fill in that area with white. Can you tell me how? I've spent hours trying to figure it out!. I'll post my shirt when I get it fixed.

As I was reading the last 8 pages I missed by going to work (how incovenient work can be) I saw the foot ball shirt for the Bears. I remember watching Saturday Night Live many years ago and they would always say "da Bears". I thought "wouldn't it be cute if the shirt said Da Bears on it". Well lo & behold, the next shirt said da Bears. & here I thought I was dating myself. :rotfl:
I want to make another pin trading shirt (yeah, I'm obsessed, so what, who cares, yeah I need help, I know that. I know I am sinking deeper and deeper in to the tshirt abyss. But I am not alone, YOU ARE ALL WITH ME). :rotfl2:
Well I love the Mickey & Minnie trading that someone (I forget who but I thank you again) made me before. Rather than bother anyone again, I went searching for Pin Trading characters, any characters & searched through over 25 pages of images and came up with nothing. So can the wonderful person who made me the pin trading shirt post Mickey & Minnie pin traders or can someone point me in the right direction of pin trading clip art? I can't use pin pics cause they have pin pics written accross the picture.
thanks, Penny
Changed my search words and found a chip & Dale & a card with Mickey & Minnie. Thanks, P

I can't recall the exact title or storyline from a book DS10 read but from what I can remember - this boy had a crummy rotten day and decided he was moving to Australia. Sounds like a good plan to me. :moped:
Anyhow, I didn't have a chance to DIS over the weekend and I come here to find all these new designs

First I want to say all of the designers on this thread are awesome. You have great talent unlike me. Just wanted to see if you all could come up with a design for me. DD7 is an all-star cheerleader and I was hoping for a shirt with cheerleader Minnie on it but also want DDs name. We hardly ever find her name on anything so she loves it when she has something personalized.
Julie&Nick'smom love what you've already done for me and would like to see what you could come up with.
Momof2OH I love the designs with Minnie on them was wondering if you could do the one thats red & yellow with Stephanie on it for me and possibly the pink and purple one with a cheerleader Minnie and the name Arianna on it. I saw clipart with a Minnie cheerleader that was pink and purple and thought that would look great.
Thanks for all the great designs you all have made and can't wait to get my shirts done so I can post the pics of them. I think by time it's all said and done we'll end up having shirts for everyday we're there.

My server was probably down. :guilty: It does that often. Especially early in the morning. Just give it a little while and it should be back up.
I'm so glad ya'll like the designs! I've had so much fun making them (when I should be working lol!)

MidNite - The park designs are magnificent! I am going to be making 4 of each (16 total). Must get more tees and transfer paper. In each park I was wanting to wear a tee that was themed just for that park and was having a hard time coming up with something. You solved that problem.
Momof2OH - I was thinking that on the back of the above shirts I would put one of your character designs with each person's name. Would you mind if I asked you to do some for me?
Or do you all think that would be too much for one shirt??

MidNight Once again the park designs are beyond beautiful.
Chrome 64 & Mom of 2 I love both Peter Pan ideas.
Tammi 67 - you will be in WDW, I think it will be just right for each shirt. In fact that is what I am going to do, now instead of wearing 4 shirts a day, I will only have to wear 2 a day. :rotfl2:
I will only be there 5 full days this time, so it looks like I will have to plan another trip to use the rest of the designs I have put aside.
One I haven't seen, probably because :earseek: no one wants to talk about it. A shirt for my last day there. I am going to leave on Sunday, after going to EPCOT for the pin trading event. I will then go to the airport from EPCOT. any good ideas for a tshirt to wear in EPCOT and on the plane?

Momof2OH The Michigan design is great and I can't wait to show my husband.
MidNight - All I can say is Wow.....Wow what great park designs.
Since discovering this thread I have come up with a list of things I can do while looking at shirts or waiting for them to load (dial up service :badpc: )
-pick up the house
-polish my toenails
-unload the dishwasher
-fold clothes
At least I am trying to deal with my addiction to this site constuctively:rotfl2:

How about a line from My Pal Mickey? When we leave the parks he says something like:

Hi..your shirts look great!! What dates were you in Disney? We were in Disney April 23-30 and we saw you & your family wearing those same shirts. It must have been you. Or another family has those same shirts). We commented on them and have talked about them now & then thruout the summer...saying we should try to make yours. My kids & I tye dye and we were wearing matching shirts too...but not nearly as cool as yours. We did use the "Rainbow Rock" brand from Michael's. I think my girlfriend & I are going to try to make them. Yours are sooo cool! :Pinkbounc

Thanks to this thread I now have serious back ache;) !! I spent the past 4 hours ironing on transfers and making tshirts (I have made 15!!). They all look great. I will try to post some pictures later. My favourite is the Epcot 3D Mickey that Midnite did, I found a long sleaved white and grey tshirt, the white long sleaved is underneath and the grey v-neck tshirt is on top, it looks perfect with the Epcot design on. I also love the AK 3D Mickey one which I put on a yellow t-shirt only I am having a bit of a problem with it as some of the backing paper didn't peel off and I am desperately trying to get it off now!!
Thanks guys.

First, let me say how inspiring this thread has been. So much talent. I am awed.
Now, I have a question, perhaps someone can send me in the right direction.
I am trying to make a design for my son. I am using Indiana Jones as the theme. I have a clipart of the Indiana Jones Adventure logo but I am worried when it is enlarged it will show the pixels. How do I fix it so it will enlarge correctly? As far as programs, I have Print Shop Deluxe (not much help) and my son has some program on here called Gimp 2.
I really appreciate any help.
Another question, I know it has been mentioned here somewhere but finding it will be hard, what program do you all recommend?
Thank alot for any help.

A few years ago I picked up black canvas tot bags from AC Moore , some Halloween Iron On's and then neon orange and yellow fabric paint. I wrote in the fabric paint Happy Halloween on one and Trick or Treat on the other then did poke-a- dots and squigglies all around the front of the bags around the iron on's.
You know some of the things you design could even go on a baseball hat, or practically anything as long as the image is the correct size. :goodvibes

I have an OT request (Epcot related). I know, I know... :confused3
Can anyone help me make a FABULOUS Harry Potter shirt for DS? I'd love it to have Harry, Ron, Hermoine, Hogwarts train or castle, Hagrid, etc. And the HP logo too. I'd love him to have it to wear to eat at Rose and Crown (the Harry Potter restaurant in our house).
Anyone can help? Thank you!

how awesome is this design for a pillowcase? Julia is getting one for this trip - I guess Nick needs one too!! Okay don't worry a boys design is on the way
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b148/DisneyTShirts/princesspillow.jpg
Will the transfer be rough on their faces for sleeping? Will the transfer crack more on a pillowcase? If not, I'd love to do one for Brantley-Kate and come up with something for the boys. Could put them on their pillows during our trip from Tink!

Anyone have PhotoImpact 8.0 SE? It came installed on my new computer.
I am trying to figure out how to add an outline to text. I have tried clicking the little outline "T" in the text toolbar, but all it does is apply the color I've chosen to the outside (like an outline) and it makes the INTERIOR of the words transparent????????? :confused3 I have tried everything I can think of. Can someone please help me before I flip?
Thanks!

another great design, MidNite!!!
would it be possible for you to post just the Mickey that
you used in this design? I would love to use it in a design
I am working on, if you don't mind! I am a computer idiot,
and when I tried to download my own Mickey, he got all
blurry when I tried to enlarge it. Your Mickey is perfect
for what I need, if you don't mind sharing him! Thanks!

I will probably just get a size or two larger than I usually wear unless I can find some sleep shirts, I havent looked yet. I was just thinking last night about sleeping shirts and seen the sweet dreams design and that pretty much convinced me.

Hrm....that's pretty darn tempting. :bitelip: I wonder if people would actually buy designs I made?? (non-Disney, non-copyrighted). I could maybe do personalized designs and print them out and press them on. Interesting....:smooth:

I say go for it as long as there is no chance of you getting in any copyright loop holes.

Please, please, please can you help me impress my new boss and co-teachers? I got a new job teaching pre-school and started this week. It's my first time working outside the home in 5.5 years! I also just accepted a job teaching the prenatal classes to twin and triple moms-to-be. (I'm an RN)
Anyway, each class has a "Snack bag" that goes home with the child responsible for bringing the snack to school the next day. The bags are canvas totes, and I am responsible for decorating both toddler classes bags. One is bright green, and one is royal blue. I was getting out my fabric paint, when I thought of the pillowcase idea. Why can't I do something similar for the bags?
So..... would you creative people please help me make a great transfer to put on the bags to wow everyone?!!! You know how it is being the new person.
I teach the toddlers, so they are little (1-2 years old). I figured they'd love a Disney theme snack bag! Lots of bright characters and colors and says maybe "Feed us" or something else creative??? Also, need to say at the top of the design"Toddlers" and on the other one "T-2"
Anyone care to help me? After I transfer the image, I'm going to add the glitter paint and maybe some puffy fabric paint.

Anyone interested in doing a POC shirt w/ skeletons, skulls & crossbones flag etc. My DS would love that. He could wear it around Halloween and when we go to WDW in December. Pirate Mickey/Minnie would be cute too. It would be great for pirate night of the cruise! Thanks.

If I'm not mistaken, you can't print copyrighted images from CafePress. Unfortunately.
You're right, MidNite. I have a shop at CafePress, and you can't use any copyrighted or trademarked material without permission.
