Hi, Midnite. Thanks again so much for your help.

OK I finally figured it out and it works for midnites designs, But j & n's mom's designs still wont save as a jpeg. Is anyone else having this problem?? Any help greatly appreciated, once again.

Thanks, Alisha
I posted the AOL fix awhile back. Tonight I am having the same problem. . .out of the blue! :badpc:
I went back through my steps and verified that the browser setting still has 'never compress graphics' selected. I can't save a jpeg from J&N's Mom but AOL is still giving me a jpeg option on any other clipart I tried to download. I don't know what is going on. :confused3 Maybe it is a temporary glitch. Will post if I come up with the answer.

orginally posted by chaoscentSo I am admiring all the new posts, turning green with envy looking at all the great designs and the beautiful children. I mean Shelby is just as cute as a button. & the 3 princes are just so georgous. I am thinking great shirts, cute kids and lots of new ideas to think about instead of sleeping.
& then what is that? Is it a shirt I just asked for a few minutes ago. I don't have to make it, someone made if for me and saved me about 10 hours of work.
Life just doesn't get any better than this.
Thanks Mom of 2, I appreciate it. Now I am getting all teary eyed. What a great bunch of people hang out at the Dis.
Thanks so much, Penny

Last year - Julia's birthday was the Mondy we were in WDW and we were staying at the Boardwalk - it was the first time the Bengals had had a MNF game in TWELVE years - he thought he had it made - until I told him we were going to CInderella's Gala Feast instead!!! :rotfl:

Luckily - he understood the importance of our princess' 3rd birthday and never complained one bit!!!!

A while back someone asked for a Donald Duck design. Well, with all the quick designers around here, this is way too late but I thought it turned out pretty neat.

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a48/KMH2/DDMagicSearchPost.jpg

I imagine it could be interesting customized with a family name in place of Donald Duck's. If anyone is interested, PM me for a full size or customization.

I love this thread!

Hi yall!!!!
My Mom has decided to join us for a few days on our October trip & I would love to make her a shirt to surprise her with. Her absolute favorite character of all time is Gus from Cinderella & it's really hard to find anything with him on it. Would one of you like to design something? It doesn't need to be customized for her. Just something really cute.
Thanks in advance. :wave2:

First off let me say WHAT A GREAT BUNCH OF TALENTED PEOPLE on this list. I have enjoyed all the posts and photos. We are going to WDW in Oct. and my 3 yr old grandson loves Minnie. He has a stuffed Minnie he carries everywhere and even his peditrician remarked about his infatuation with Minnie. I was wondering if someone could do a personalized shirt for him that is not too girlish with Minnie on it. His name is Carter and this would make his world to have Minnie on his shirt. Also the car with Minnie and Mickey heading towards the castle, could someone post it with a Pa. licence plate. We are driving and would love to wear this . Thanks in advance if it can be done. :cheer2:

We have had technical problems with the computer for the last three days. I could not get on and I think I was having withdrawals. Finally, I got on here and it may take another three days to catch up. We leave in two weeks and I literally can't decide which shirts we will be wearing. I think we have serveral options to choose from each day. Poor kids, hope they did not have plans of what they would wear! (hahaha!!) Thanks for all the great designs.

What type of Photoimpact do you all? Is it made by Ulead or Nova or is this the same company that has merged or something. The reason I ask is because Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/102-8005769-4197725) has a Ulead PhotoImpact 10 and PhotoImpact Pro 10.0. Is this the same software or what? Thank you in advance.

Becky

I am not sure what kind of deal you are getting from Amazon but I posted yesterday about the CompUSA Sale on Photo Impact Pro 10 on Sale again this week. End up being $29.99

Here is the information again for those that missed it.
PHOTO IMPACT PRO 10 - $29.99

Just a heads up to everyone who is still wants to get PHOTO IMPACT 10.

The same deal from CompUSA that I posted several weeks ago is going on again this week. It ends up being $29.99 after Instant and mail in rebates.

Hello Wonderful Designers!

The shirts look wonderful. Have a give a shout out to my3princes. What a great job you did.

Midnite, I love all of your designs. We are using 5 of your designs for our shirts.

Julia and Nick's Mom. Love all of your designs. We are using 3 for our shirts.

Love all your designs Momof2OH's collection. We are using 1 from you.

So I have printed out all of the designs on paper to make sure they don't get blurry when they are blown up to 8x11. And I have placed them on the tshirts to make sure the colors look good.

Now I need some serious help. The transfer paper. Should I get the HP for light tshirts, for the racy pink, neptune blue and tan colored tshirts. And the dark transfer sheets for the red, purple and lime green? Is HP a good brand? I don't want my transfers to shred as I'm walking down Main Street! The horror!!!!!!

I figured HP as I am using an HP printer. I don't know. I've never succesfully completed any craft in my life. I want to do this! I want to post my finished tshirts!! I only have 935 more hours until I arrive at Disney.

Help me with the transfer paper!!! Plllllllleeeeeeaaaaasssssseeeeeee....

Take a look at the picture of my shirt I posted. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=826364&page=206&pp=15

I used Avery paper on an HP printer. I just went to the settings and checked HP transfer paper. Unfortunately I haven't done anything except a white shirt, so I can't answer your questions about colored shirts. I did cut very closely to the design with an Exacto knife.

Please post photos of your shirts after you do them. I love looking at everyone's finished products and getting even more ideas.

Good luck!

J&N' Mom - Thanks for the Mary Poppins. It's, well, you know...supercali......:rotfl2:

I have Jasc's Paint Shop Pro 8, but am still figuring out how to use it (SLOWLY since I don't have a manual!). Is Photo Impact significantly better than PSP, or will I be fine with PSP once I figure out how to use it? Anyone have both and can say whether the differences are huge?

I think a spoof of a Gateway computer box would be fun. You could do the cow print and then do your son's name (or the steer's) in green Gateway-type lettering.

Can I get an Alabama Crimson Tide? Here's a pic of the stadium...

http://www.rolltide.com/images/7378.jpg

Picture of uniform and helmet (it's crimson (not red) and white). EDITED: the helmet has a white stripe down the middle. Helmet does NOT have a logo, but instead a white number (could you use the number 12)?

The Alabama Logo. Could you put this on the bottom of the shirt maybe?

Thanks.

Can anyone answer this for me.
I found the good transfer paper AVERY.
It comes in 2 kinds.
Light fabric & dark fabric.
The light comes in bigger packages & cost a lot less.
The dark comes in only small packages & cost much more.
What is the difference?
All my shirts are dark.
What would be the worse if I used the light fabric?
I have a lot of shirts to do.
Has anyone used the light paper on dark shirts?
What was the outcome?

hi,

i have used both of these types before....

okay, the dark style prints on a white background that shows up on the shirt unless you cut it off. becareful when you print it on your printer, the one i used you did NOT have to print the design backwards.

the light style basically prints backwards onto a clear sheet that you iron on,,,you can kinda see the clear background if you dont cut it off and becareful, if any fuzz or hair gets underneath it, you can see it through the decal!!!

Hi everyone! I'm back from my trip and can see you've been busy little Disney designers!

I'll be at WDW December 11-25 offsite (HGVC and FF Cypress Palms) with MVMCP on the 20th, and if I can I'll add some days at POP at the beginning of the trip. But I have to confess a funny thing. I rarely wear t-shirts! I love doing the designs, which is why I hang out here, and it will be fun if I spot any Disers with my Mickeys on their sleeves. I may be wearing some Disney Dork buttons though. I also have a Diser button I made that I will probably wear. So, I hope some Disers will come up and say hi!

hi,

i have used both of these types before....

okay, the dark style prints on a white background that shows up on the shirt unless you cut it off. becareful when you print it on your printer, the one i used you did NOT have to print the design backwards.

the light style basically prints backwards onto a clear sheet that you iron on,,,you can kinda see the clear background if you dont cut it off and becareful, if any fuzz or hair gets underneath it, you can see it through the decal!!!

wendy :earsboy:

OK if I understand this right.
If I use the light on dark fabric.
The color of the shirt will show thru.

Like my design has a green back ground the shirt is a blue & red tye dye.
Will this look all messed up?
I'm confused? :confused3

I was a bit confused when you said granddaughter!!! They will probably be pretty close - I had a friend in HS whose aunt was two years behind us - they were really close but it was pretty funny when she would call her Aunt Jen - she really only did it when she wanted to irritate her!! :rotfl:

OK if I understand this right.
If I use the light on dark fabric.
The color of the shirt will show thru.

I always use the Avery dark transfer paper, because I personally think the colors look the brightest no matter the color of shirt underneath. Plus. . . I can screw up a transfer in so many ways without adding the flip to print issue! :rotfl:

Remember previous posts? We've seen the dangers of skiping the test print, various printing errors, arm burns, burned shirts, lifting transfers, cracking transfers, shirt colors showing through, failure to remove backing before ironing, forgetting to trim around transfer before ironing. . .and now we have to worry about hairs? OMG! :scared1: I have 4 cats. :cat: There are always hairs!!!

I did my 1st transfer tonight using one of MidNites designs :cool1: I think I should have put the Mickey ears a little lower or higher on the shirt though :rotfl: Tomorrow I will transfer some of the designs I made. This was so much easier than I thought it would be & will be saving me lots of money :teeth: Thank you MidNite for sharing this beautiful design! The picture turned out a little funky, looks better in person.

It depends on what kind of border you want. If you want something that follows the outline of type or an image, you can use Stroke. If you want something more like a frame, you can use the Rectangle tool (other shapes too) and place it behind your image, or you could create the rectangle, create another rectangle within the first using the Marquee tool, and cut the selected area so that you have a frame.

I love PS, but I'm a little jealous of the designers here who have PhotoImpact with its ready-made borders and cool, easy-to-use Ocean fills and such! I have a Mac, so I can't use PhotoImpact.

For everyone who wants to learn how to post pics, Now we can just refer people to this post in the future! This was posted on another thread and is very good -

Okay, this CAN be complicated but doesn't need to be... as long as I break it down step by step. just so I'm clear

1) You can upload your photos to a photo hosting site. I use www.photodump.com. Any site like this will do. It's a photo hosting site. At the top of the page it says "Welcome to PhotoDump", and you click there to register to use the site (it's free).

2) Once you log in, you can upload the photos. You do so by clicking on the link on the left hand side.

3) Leave the top dropdown box as is.

4) Go to image file #1. Click on "browse".

5) This opens up a box where you can browse the files saved onto your computer. You'll need to know where you saved the images to on your computer. I'd recommend somewhere easy so you can remember it.

6) When you found the file, doubleclick on it. This will close the box and send you back to the "image file #1" page on photodump.com.

7) Click upload! Don't mess with anything; the icon in the upper right hand corner will show the page is working to upload.

8) When the file has uploaded, the page will refresh and show the picture has uploaded.

9) Copy the Filename web address starting with the "http" and ending with the "jpg".

10) Open a SECOND browser window (open up Netscape or Internet Explorer or whatever you use to surf the web).

11) Log onto the DIS boards and go to the thread. Get to the page where you post your reply.

12) Paste the link you copied into the text box.

13) Repeat this process for all the images you want to post links to.

14) It's best, IMHO, to post the link to the webpage so that it doesn't take forever for the thread to load and your post isn't humongus.

Is this clear? Hope this helps!

I used the ones for light shirts. I do have some transfers for dark shirts that I am going to try today on our Halloween shirts. Also wanted to add that I bought the boys t-shirts at Walmart, they are the Old Glory brand for $3.00 & the Hanes were marked down to $2.00. The Hanes are thinner but they work, that is what I used on the shirt I posted. The rest of my shirts for myself I bought at K-mart for $4.00 & they have the v neck & rounded neckline.

If you can, please email them to me since I can't see the ones on the DIS at this moment. (I think I sent an email too, can't remember, so sorry if I am asking this twice!)
