Yes, I am. Now I teach the prenatal classes for twins and triplets. It's a lot of fun!

That's really neat. What a great way to stay involved, even after you've stopped working! I'm sure the new moms (or at least new to multiples) sure appreciate your expert advice! :)

Anyone want to try to make something for Animal Kingdom for me? I have 3 kids, 2 girls, one boy. I'd like something they can wear for our Ak day & something that matches each other. I tried to look for some AK designs but they are more for grown ups...Maybe something with Lion King & Timon & Pumba? Thanks.
This is one design for AK that I did for another family, if you like it I can customize it...or if you want something brighter let me know I could come up with something.

For anyone making Disneyland shirts, I asked around on the Disneyland thread for photos of the special golden rides for the 50th. A nice person posted a link to her photos. Here's the thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=910081.

Jacksmom ... I'm on it, if you still need one.

Disney Newbie ... under you signature, it starts out saying something like "Earning My Ears", etc. DISers can choose (under the User CP thing at the top) to write something different.... but when you see COLORED writing underneath... that is something that only the elusive "tag fairy" can do. The tag fairy (or maybe more than one....) is a mystery on the DIS boards. He/she finds funny, incriminating, or otherwise random things we say and posts them there for all to see. Nothing special happens..... but some consider it an honor. They are usually pretty funny to read, espeically out of context! :goodvibes

Ok, I finally set up a Photobucket account so I can post pictures of the shirt designs I have made! Some are originals but most are customized versions of others original design..Thanks to all who have shared their designs!!!!
I do not have photo shop or photo impact..I do all of these in Paint (word) & in a program called PhotoImpressions (came with my scanner). Each program alone cannot do all that I want it to so I bounce back in between both programs while doing one design...Takes forever but the shirts have come out nicely so I am happy.

Now how can I post the photos here?

Now how can I post the photos here?

If you go to your photobucket account and upload a picture, you'll see underneath it several (I beleive 3 different) lines that look like urls....

If you copy the one that starts with [IMG], (copy the whole thing, from bracket to bracket) and paste it in this window on the DIS, your image should appear! ;) :goodvibes

Me? The Easter Egg Mickey? Or were you talking to J&N's mom about the eeyore? :)

You can find large images if you go to Google.com and do an image search... to the upper right the default setting is "All Sizes", but if you do Large (or sometimes even Medium) you can get clipart / images that are good sizes for these transfers :)

I have a suggestion for all the designers. What if we were to put some keywords at the bottoms of our posts of designs so that when someone searches for a design it will be easier to find?

Example:

http://www.jadespider.com/wip/tshirts/incredibles.jpg

Keywords: "Having an Incredible Time" the Incredibles Family, red, Incredibles logo

This is such a great thread! What a great "family" you guys have here. I always feel strange joining in halfway... so I've been pretty quiet.. :earboy2:

Hooray for the baby coming home... don't remember who's nephew it is - but he is a sweetie!

Hip hip hooray for all of you (us too!) whose trips are getting close! Time passes quickly! :hourglass

And for those who don't have trips planned for a while, I'll say :wave2: to ::MickeyMo & ::MinnieMo for you!

I'd love to be more a part of the :grouphug: , but only if that's all right with you guys!

I have a question?

A Disney Design Addict.

Means we are addicted to this thread.
Or designing.

I'm asking because.

My shirts are all done.
Even my neighbors that I helped her with.

I still have breakfast every morning while reading this thread.
After work as soon as I can, I'm back reading this thread.

Yes we will be @ WDW 14 days.
I really don't need to change 2x a day.
Had to UPS my DD shirts, no room in luggage.
So that's it I can't do any more shirts.
I already did the Halloween bag.
Even made a design for my DS Halloween costume.

Is this crazy feels like home here.

What kind of T Shirt Transfer paper is everyone using??? I bought a pack at AC Moore and It printed out nice and ironed on easy, but when I did it on a colore T shirt it "dulled" the picture. Also where do you find the transfer paper you use??? Thanks!!! :wave2:

I'm anxiously waiting for our new big JoAnn's to open (September 23!!!) so I can get the transfer paper and make some shirts!!! We have Photoshop Elements, and I have spent many hours this past week (staying up waaaaay too late...) trying to design some things in there, but mostly end up frustrated. I'm in the same boat as you. We leave in about 11 days and I haven't packed anything, barely have a list, know that I'm forgetting to do about a hundred things, have no shirts made - I have bought the transfer paper and shirts, and have one shirt washed - that's it. I'm so far behind!

The bag is in the picture on the right.

I used a canvas bag.
Hard to iron on & looses shape in wash.
I would use a fabric bag.
Washs & holds shape better.
Easier to iron on design.

hey Karebear,

Happy to see your name again! I haven't been on the boards much this year. Are you still walking?

But now we have two trips coming up - one to WDW in April and one to DL for the new 1/2 marathon in Sept 2006.

Speaking of which how about a t-shirt with Minnie and Daisy training for the 1/2? I dont think I am as creative as Nick & Julias mom, MinnieMouseMom, Triplefigs, Midnite and everyone else, but I will have to try and see.

I found that photoimpact and photoshop (which a lot of the designers are using) was way to complicated for me. I purchase PrintShop 20 Deluxe at Office Depot for around $40, and it does a lot and is quite straight forward. I've had pretty good luck with it. However, you do need to find clear clip art (no white boxes around it). I haven't found any "magic eraser" with PrintShop. Just a suggestion if you want to try and not spend lot of cash doing it.

I SAID I had to narrow it down!!!

It is from 5 sources double spaced!! although maybe I will post all 30 pages just to annoy you all!!! ;)

Oh yea - and in case you all think I don't need a comprehensive list - guess who went to WDW without a bathing suit last year!!! :wave2:

I understand the need for a list...I was just a bit befuddled by the fact it's 30 pages! One of these trips, I'll actually copy my list, instead of starting from scratch each time. I say that about my grocery list too. :rotfl:

I bet Julia knows what comes after 5599. ;)

I bet Julia knows what comes after 5599. ;)

I am sure she does!!

My mom always told me that she wished that she had realized that I was smarter than her when I was younger as it would have made life easier - I listened to her and

I realize it and I accept it!!!

Earlier on in the posts someone mentioned searching Google for large images. In the process I found http://www.disneyexperience.com. I figure this place has already been mentioned and I just missed it but what an awesome site. I have had so much fun downloading pictures and fonts. I did up a few designs and there were some that I really just want to use the pictures for shirts without adding anything, I just gave them edges, etc. I will try to post pictures tomorrow. Another thing I tried and it seems to have worked, is ironing transfers onto some visors. Once again, I will try to post pictures of those tomorrow too. It's 1 AM now and I should have been in bed hours ago. This is so addicting.
Thanks everyone for such a fun thread.
It's become more than a thread...

I second (or third) whatever has been said tonight about the friends we are making on this board. I love coming on here every day throughout the day to see what everyone is doing. I feel like we are all getting to know one another really well by our taste in designs. I would totally be up for a DDA meet & greet in person at WDW or on DCL! But if that happens, the triplets, J&N, and little Isaac must come too. It wouldn't be right without them!

Maybe by the time we meet in person, I'll get up the nerve to load Photoshop and try to make my own designs instead of PMing poor J&N's Mom with my ideas every few days.

Okay, I need serious help, I still haven't gone to bed. LOL!
Here are some pictures, the first two are really just pictures from the site I mentioned before, trimmed a little...

The next two are ideas for my DD...I'm not sure which I like better...

There really isn't much to them, I have been using Print Shop since I haven't figured out PhotoImpact 10 yet.
The last is again just a picture from that site that I trimmed and added a few words...

Hi Everybody!
It has taken me 3 days and about 7 hours tonight, but I finally got through all 376 pages of this thread - and I have the eye strain to prove it! :earseek:

I just want to say what a nice group you seem to be. :grouphug:
I didn't know there were people worse than me when it comes to Disney fixations- but you girls (and Kevin ;) ) are crazy!!!!!!!! (Don't worry- I mean this in the nicest way possible  )

I want to send a personal thank you out to Kate who has made several beautiful designs for me while I have been lurking on you board. I bought the T's today and will buy the transfers tomorrow (oops it's 2 am- later today)

***FYI- Target has the Mossimo junior short sleeved Ts on clearance for 3.98 each, 100% cotton, the fitted style, I got em in white and black but they had several colors at my store***

Anyway, I am so glad I found this thread, keep up all the great work!!

Good Grief I should be in bed but I haven't been able to check in ALL day!!! :wave2: I was on a mad house cleaning jag because Fri. is Erich's party...like it matters to tweeners...especially BOYS!!! ;)

I got done a little bit ago making an Endor (where the Ewoks live) flag.I goofed up a bit and had to add more so it threw me later than I expected. Then in my muddled little sleepy mind I got the idea to make R2D2 out of a bucket and a mixing bowl!! So I was rattling around in the kitchen looking for parts!! :rolleyes1 We'll see tomorrow when I'm AWAKE if he actually comes to life! http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/contrib/AoErat/r2d2.gif

Morning all! :sunny: I woke up this morning to find more amazing designs!!! Thank you to everyone for their hard work - I can't wait to make some shirts! :teeth: I do have a question - I have decided I can't wait until our JoAnn's opens to find transfer paper... Where else do you find it? I have searched our Michael's, but found nothing. We don't have a Hobby Lobby... Any other ideas? Can you order it online somewhere? Sorry if this has already been stated before. I've been reading mostly in the wee hours of the morning, and can't remember if it was on this thread earlier. Thanks again for your help! Hope everyone has a great day! P and PD to you, Tink! Have fun packing to all of you going to the world soon. We will be there for the race weekend - DH and I are doing the Komen Race and the 10K. (Oct. 8 and 9) Oooh - maybe I can make up a couple tank tops for the races by then.... :teeth: Have a good one!!! :wave2:

I found that photoimpact and photoshop (which a lot of the designers are using) was way to complicated for me. I purchase PrintShop 20 Deluxe at Office Depot for around $40, and it does a lot and is quite straight forward. I've had pretty good luck with it. However, you do need to find clear clip art (no white boxes around it). I haven't found any "magic eraser" with PrintShop. Just a suggestion if you want to try and not spend lot of cash doing it.

Edited to add: This was my 1000th post!!

I have The PrintShop 11.0 and you can get rid of the backgrounds, Once you import your clipart or photo select effects from the top menu. Then chose crop and orientation. There is a freehand crop option. You then have to make a series of clicks (leaving dots) around the image. Once you completely go around the object the dots will magically connect and then you select cut it. If you are happy with it select ok and the background will be gone.

You can get transfer paper at Walmart, Staples, Office Depot. I would guess anyplace that sells computer printing supplies. Remember they make a light transfer paper for white shirts and a dark transfer paper for all other colors.

We will be in MK on 10/9 too! We are changing to MGM that night. That will be our first day in the parks. My girls will be wearing lots of designs from J&N's mom. Maybe we will see you there.

I too am in a panic! We have had a countdown posterboard since 100 days and hung streamers at 25. Now I am just worried how to get it all done. My non-Disney obsessed friends think you just throw things in a suitcase. Being a DDA makes it all more complicated.

Cool! If we see the designs on your kiddies we will say hi!

What kind of T Shirt Transfer paper is everyone using??? I bought a pack at AC Moore and It printed out nice and ironed on easy, but when I did it on a colore T shirt it "dulled" the picture. Also where do you find the transfer paper you use??? Thanks!!! :wave2:

I have been going to AC Moore at least 2x a week for more supplies..nuts I know but I am addicted!!! I have been using the Burlington/Printworks transfer paper. I use the "light" paper only for white shirts & the "dark" for everything else. I use the shirts from AC Moore 50/50 poly cotton blend & so far so good.

I just wanted to say a BIG Thank You!! to Julia and Nicks Mom who saved me from my horrible cut-and-paste-a-clipart-into-word shirt design. She created a really, really cool shirt design for my husband and I for our upcoming honeymoon!

The back of the shirt looks like this:

And the front pocket of the shirt will have one of these logos:

Everyone on this board is SO talented, and I wanted to say that I've really enjoyed looking at all of your designs....I just might "steal" one of them to make another 2 shirts for when we go to the Magic Kingdom Halloween Party thing when we're down there.

Thanks again, Julia & Nicks Mom!!!! :cheer2:

Good Grief I should be in bed but I haven't been able to check in ALL day!!! :wave2: I was on a mad house cleaning jag because Fri. is Erich's party...like it matters to tweeners...especially BOYS!!! ;)

I got done a little bit ago making an Endor (where the Ewoks live) flag.I goofed up a bit and had to add more so it threw me later than I expected. Then in my muddled little sleepy mind I got the idea to make R2D2 out of a bucket and a mixing bowl!! So I was rattling around in the kitchen looking for parts!! :rolleyes1 We'll see tomorrow when I'm AWAKE if he actually comes to life! http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/contrib/AoErat/r2d2.gif

we are going to be in Epcot that night - so I will definately keep an eye out for you guys!!!

Sounds good..the 5 of us will be at Le Cellier at 5:30 so if you are around Canada at that time look for us! That will be our last dinner at WDW! :sad2: Looking forward to the cheese soup & breadsticks!
We leave bright & early the next morning!

I also have a packing list but I make one each time I go...this time I am going to copy it to my pc so I do not have to make it again...someone wrote a few pages ago that some of their friends think you can just pack a suitcase & go..oh!!!! So not true..Packing for Disney is unlike packing for any other vacation...I am going to finish up my shirts today & start getting things in the suitcases!!!

:wave2:
Go to Target in the computer section (not the office and school paper section) and they have the HP kind for dark shirts. At everyone's recommendation here, I am using the kind for dark shirts regardless of the shirt color. My shirts turned out great! What is nice about the HP paper is you don't have to do a mirror print. One less thing to have to remember ... or mess up with the expensive paper!

Thanks Jennifer!!! I need to go back to Target to find some of those Disney paper towels, napkins, etc everyone is talking about anyway! :teeth: I love the idea of not having to do a mirror image!!! My printer won't do it, but after much frustration, I figured out how to do it in Photoshop. This will make it easy, though! Thanks again!!! :goodvibes

ooooohhhh... thanks Tinker1bell! That sounds good! I will attempt to brave the crowds tonight and get them! I was hoping to go out and look around this morning, but DS (age 2) isn't feeling well today. Thanks again for the tip!

Does anyone have any suggestions for finding 2T/3T or XXS size plain shirts? The ones I've seen have a pocket on the front (TRU). The last time I checked Target they were all striped or had some design already. Michaels didn't go that small. I will also check Walmart for that tonight, but wondered if anyone had any other ideas? Thanks again!!! :flower:

Our goddaughter recently turned one, and as part of her birthday gift, I bought a pack of onesies and did iron-ons on them! They said things like "My godmommy loves me!", "Princess V" (Our nickname for Veronica), "I love Beethoven" (Does she EVER!), etc. They came out SOO cute with clip art and such.

Hi girls!
I found some at Hobby Lobby in that size- I think my store only carried white. I am going to order from the Cheap T link someone put up awhile back since they have the T's that snap underneath (DS2 has a bad habit of shoving his hand down his pants and at least this will keep his hands out of his diaper!) I thought about just buying onesies, but I don't like that thing on the shoulder...

While we are talking transfers, I still need to get my paper for all of N&Js Mom's wonderful shirts. Has anyone used the dark paper on a white T shirt- does it come out OK? I'm trying to avoid having to buy both.

Thanks for the input- this is my favorite thread by far!!!!

THanks! I soooo wish we had a Hobby Lobby!!!! I will do a search for that Cheap T link, though. Thanks! DS will not wear the snaps - absolutely hates them and throws a fit. It looks so much nicer. Oh well, most of the time his shirts come untucked in a matter of minutes. We don't have the issue of him putting his hands in the diaper... Hope that is a short-lived phase for you!! Thanks again!

Jcpenney had a lot of plain T-shirts on Clearance a couple of weeks back. I got my boys the sleevless ones. My youngest wears a 2-4.

Also I have tried many different brands of Dark T-Shirt transfers and none of them need to be printed mirror image. Mirror Image is for the light shirt transfers.

Just read the instructions that come with whatever transfers you find.

okay - to answer questions

I am not going to MNSSHP - my kids are too little and we went last year -
but I did forget to add Julia's 400,000 princess costumes to my list (okay - since you all think I don't know how to count - she really does have Tinkerbell, Ariel, Jasmine. Snow White, Cinderella, belle's blue dress, belle's gold dress & Aurora - so that is 8)

I went to old navy today an dlook what I got for 1.99 - they are still $4 online
http://www.oldnavy.com/Asset_Archive/ONWeb/Assets/Product/291/291939/category/on291939-

I got white with a gray collar, yellow with a navy collar and the tan one they have online! They had a TON left and the men's sizes were $5 - the women's shirts were still $8-9 and I don't want to spend that much

I am going to order mine from this website
http://www.blankshirtstore.com

I got Julia some cute ones at walmart - they ranged from $3 to 4.87 - and the hanes girls undershirts are really nice - I am making a couple on those

Hobby Lobby has great ones for little boys too - I just want more than a big old t-shirt for myself!!

okay - I have an idea

there is a guy on ebay that sells 100 sheets of dark transfer paper for $1 - at a $100 a sheet - that is WAY less than what we would be paying anywhere else -

here is the listing

http://cgi.ebay.com/IRON-ON-HEAT-TRANSFER-PAPER-DARK-COLORS-100-SHEETS_W0QQitemZ7546214850QQcategoryZ26253QQrdZ1QQ cmdZViewItem

does anyone want to go in on this with me? you can paypal me the money and once I get it - I will send it out to everyone -

I am sure there are enough of us here looking for dark transfer paper that we could use all 100 sheets - is anyone in?

Baloo: if I am not allowed to do this - can you help me word it in a way that would be okay? - we would all be buying sheets together - so I am not really selling them just coordinating!!

I haven't posted in a while but just wanted to say that I'm glad I'm not the only one who seems to have made more t-shirts than days of trip. I am already layering as we are going in December for 12 nights (I have 2 designs to wear some days!! Some on vest tops, some on t-shirts and some on long sleeved tops.) But I still have made too many. I'm even wearing them around the house and for dance rehearsals at the theatre I perform in!! I keep thinking I have made enough but then I see another design!!

I love all the designs especially Christmas ones my favorite time of year(even insisted on having our wedding in Dec. My DH, who is the practical one, was worried about snowstorms and losing deposits,we lived in IA at the time.) I can't wait til we go in 2007 for MVMCP and our 10th anniversary. By then I'll have more shirts than days there. :rotfl:
J&N's mom I love the gold rides/DL shirt. :goodvibes And the tiki shirts are great, my DS who's 1 just loves the tiki's. Whenever he cries we sing the tiki bird song and he calms down. I'll have to find the song on tape sometime for him. Not that I don't love singing it 5-10 times a day.

I ordered white, pink, & grey for myself. I do not think they are to sheer. They are not heavy duty t-shirts, but I don't think to much will show through the white unless you wear a black bra :rotfl: What happened to our counters & flashy sigs :confused3

Just curious about the quality- I think they say sheer in the description and I am wondering just how sheer- this is a family place ya know! ;)

Yesterday, I received my 16 long sleeve shirts that I ordered from www.blankshirtstore.com. I am very happy with the price I paid and with the quality of the shirts. I can't wait to get them washed and get the transfers on them.

Are any of them the ladies anvil? If yes, are they the fitted type?

No, I ordered Fruit of the Loom. I don't wear fitted shirts because I'm a little top heavy. :rotfl: :rotfl2:

On another note, many pages ago someone had posted an image of Disneyworld 2005 with the "00" being mousears. Can someone please re-post it but in red? Thought it might look cute on a sleeve or on the back of the shirt by the collar...

I can't believe how much creating has been going on while I was in Disneyland. You guys are too much! Anyway, I just wanted to give a personal thanks to Julia and Nick's Mom and Momof2OH for their help with my T-Shirt designs. We had a group of 20 ranging in age from 75 to 18 months old and we all wore matching shirts on our first day in the park. It was so fun to watch people's faces in the lines. They would stare at our shirts (Thanks, Walt) and get a smile on their faces. Several people stopped us and asked where we had gotten the shirts. At most of the rides, the CM's would see us all together and yell, "Hey, look, everyone. It's the Adams family on vacation!" We also had several instances where people would stop us and say, "Oh, I just saw some of your people. They went THAT way." It was so fun! My parents were so grateful to have the shirts. We even got a picture of all of us in front of the castle in our shirts. (I'll try to post pictures if I ever figure it all out).

The next day, I dressed my kids in the character shirts that Momof2OH designed for me. DD1 in Minnie Mouse, DS in Buzz, and DD's 2 & 3 (twins) in Dumbo. All day long the cast members greeted them by name and commented on their shirts. They all felt really important. By the end of the day, all their cousins were a little peeved that I hadn't made shirts for them as well. I told them there's always next time.

So, thanks to all of you who help to make our Disney vacations a dream come true! Mine sure was. Thanks for the pixie dust!

I have another question for all of you creative minds... I know this will sound stupid, but how do you pick the t-shirt colors that will fit best with the designs? How do the colors really come out on the dark/bright shirts? I've made my (very long) list of shirts I want to make, and looked at the shirts available at Wal-Mart, Target, and the shirt web-site just posted, and I just can't decide what colors go best. Do you try to match a color in the design? Does what you see on the screen match what comes out on the shirts? Do you take the design to the store? Please pardon my ignorance! DH is not very excited about my new hobby (he thinks in dollar signs), and I want the shirts to look GREAT (just like the designs do!!!) Any suggestions? Thank you!!!! :goodvibes

Hi,
I have been lurking for a while. We have our designs-Thanks everyone :goodvibes ready to go. The shirts are washed and ironed and the transfer have been printed on HP Dark transfer paper. Tommorrow is the BIG day we are making the shirts-me and a friend. I will post pictures when we are done.

The question above here is what we did. I printed miniature pictures on plain white paper. I got about 4 per sheet. I printed them in best quailty to get a feel for the color. Then we trimmed them. We took them with us and actually laid them down on the t-shirts to see what we liked. We got our shirts at AC moore for $2.00 each 50/50 and they have 32 colors. :earseek: You should have seen us in the store. Shirts all over the tables with mini Disney graphics on them. People were giving us strange looks but we had a blast :teeth: It worked great. We are doing about 20 shirts total between 4 of us.
Thanks to all for sharing your designs :cheer2:
Cheryl

Thanks! I was thinking it would feel a bit awkward doing that, but hey, I end up with awesome shirts!!! ;) I've read about AC Moore a few times, so I looked up the closest store... 341 miles away in Charleston SC... :earseek: DH probably wouldn't go for a road trip just to get blank shirts!!! :rotfl: Oh well! Thanks again for the suggestion! I can't wait to see pics of your shirts!

Well, you got 365 days but how often can you use it?

We're there every other weekend, at least! :teeth:
Gosh I love living in Tampa!
At least every other Saturday, a week in July for DS's bday (he got his first AP for his bday present), an overnight last weekend just to see fireworks, 2 nights in Oct for MNSSHP, 1 night for DD bday in November, 5 nights in December.....

So, anyone want to take a stab at a frequent visitor shirt? :teeth:
Or do you hate me now? :teeth:

Please? We go so often I'm going to need several sets of shirts, so I'd love to see several takes on it! But they can't say "vacation" or the year or stuff like that.....

Here's one idea. We always start our weekends with DH saying "Who wants to go on an adventure?" This could be bowling or mini-golf or WDW...whatever....but our family activities are our "adventures". (My kids even call their galoshes their "adventure boots"!) So I've always loved this Pooh quote: "As soon as he saw the Big Boots, Pooh knew that an Adventure was going to happen..." But I just can't think of what to do with it! Any suggestions?

We'd also love a classic mickey design of some sort....but we're really open to anything!

As it stands, I have shirts ready to go in 7 colors, but have only got two designs (a DVC design I did since we just bought and the stick people...DH just loved that one!). We're really looking for something about family adventures or going all the time....
