We are all doing well and looking forward to this weekend with girls only at DL:thumbsup2
WE begine our camping trip on the 19th and that should be interesting. My sister is coming with my other niece for a week and well I'm not looking forward to it. Morgan is and that is whats important right:thumbsup2
She is doing well and we spent the day out shopping. We had a good time. So what the heck is everyone else up to?

Hi all!
Back from a lengthy trip to visit family, with many Northwest Airlines issues involved. They messed up many of our flights, and we ended up driving one 8 hour stretch because we were going to have to wait 36 hours since they bumped us from our connection. (No, we were on time and everything, they just did.)
Now we're just trying to get caught up and get ready for old friends that will be visiting this weekend. We met them on a cruise in 1989! Then we visited them, they visited us, they ended up moving to Kansas City while we were still there. They live in Boston now, but are visiting family in Charleston. They are gonna swing by this weekend. A little different itinerary than with Kat, though, they wanted to see a Braves game more than anything, so we'll be doing that Saturday night after they get in.
I only have one more trip this Summer, a long weekend in Hilton Head just before school starts. (Just a little getaway before school.) The boys start back in about a month! (or should I say :woohoo: --not sure!

Hi Sherrena,
WOW that sucks!!!! that would have just pissed me off so much. The airlines do that to so many people all the time likes it not a big deal:confused3
WE have remained best friends with people we met on our first cruise also. Way back in 86 also :thumbsup2
We lived in LA they in SanDiego. We moved here and they divorced but there son and my boys grew up together and there son is over here almost every weekend. There son is also named BRanden and is going into 9th grade.
We call him our 3rd child. Richard calls or stops by at least 2 times a week. His Ex we talk to seldom so it is Richard who has remained our closest friend.
Our friendship was made to be a lifetime.
So Hilton Head sounds great! how far away are you from there?

Hi everyone:cool1:
Well we are off to Sea World today. Branden my 13 y0 is doing battle with us that he does not want to go. We have said he is still to young to stay home so he has to come and he is so pissed...OOOOO to be 13 again....NOT!!!....
He will mope and complain and slow us down for awile but will join in when we get there.
My niece has been fine but has made a new family out of her best friends. She goes every where with them and sleeps over there all the time and wants to live with them. Had to nip that in the bud today and last night.
She has been rude to us and made us the outsiders. I think at there house there is les structure so she is more comfortable there. She has adopted them as she did with the other friends in Florida and has placed them first.
She has been doing what she is suppose to here and did very well in school. We just needed to put some summer boundries down.
Well I need to get ready to head out. Also do more battle with Branden. Why cant kids just say...Yes mom what ever you say mom...Sea
World yay lets go.
Michael and I did a double feature at the movies last night we saw Bruce almighty...funny and enjoyable and Rattatoulli...both we lots of fun:thumbsup2
Well I'm off have a great day and will chat soon.
I had to laugh at this, Robin...doncha just love teenagers?

I think if the cruise people hadn't ever lived in our city we might not have cemented, but as two young couples who met the first day, we ended up doing everything together. Our kids don't match up too closely, but they get along fine in short doses. DH and I were talking the other day about how much we're looking forward to seeing them!
And the airline thing did stink! I only gave you the short version, and didn't tell you about how they dropped us from our return flights because that is their policy when you miss a flight, even though we didn't miss it and they supposedly had it noted. We ended up losing our straight through and getting home 1/2 day later as well. It was just one, long, sunshine experience with them!
Oh, and Hilton Head is about a 5 hour drive, give or take depending on the traffic. The good news is we will arrange it so the traffic won't be an issue!

I guess that is one thing I can't complain about, all of our luggage did show up. We were really worried after they took us off of our connection at Memphis. They said the luggage went! (And they were going to leave us there for 36 hours without any!) We had to go to the airport after driving in to pick it up. We kept calling to make sure it was already there, but nobody would answer. We left three messages, none was returned. Luckily when we got there it was there. Sitting next to the baggage carousel, in a pile. We picked it up and left...nobody stopped us, checked us, or anything. Nice that they're so casual with our stuff!:dance3:

Flying is getting worse and worse, isn't it?? My dad ended up spending a night in Raleigh last week when his flight home was cancelled!
Sam is at camp this week so it is quiet at home. Last night Dave and I went to the midnight Harry Potter show. It was really good....
One of Mom's helpers quit. She worked Monday night and then left a note to me and one to Mom and Clare on the bulletin board along with the house key. Didn't even have the guts to tell us in person!! So I am back to late evenings again. My brother is coming in on the 19th and they are all leaving on the 20th for a week so I will have the house to myself! That will be nice, I need some time for me! And I can hide at home with my book on the 21st after going to the midnight book party for Harry Potter 7!!!

Haven't seen it yet...Brian was at the movies and wanted to stay and see it with friends. Only problem was that they needed someone to pick them up at 3 a.m. when it finished. Ummmmmmm.....I'm not that nice, especially when I didn't even get to see the movie!
We have our old cruise friends coming in town this weekend. (the ones we met in 1989 and later lived in the same city with). We've done a few vacations together....we tried SO hard to get them on the Christmas cruise with us!
Maybe some Harry after that!!:thumbsup2

Finally so Pirates 3 -- I hope everyone stayed 'til after the credits? Pretty nice scene. Predictable, but nice.
It's HOT in here! If I have to sweat, why can't I be in WDW???

I saw it again yesterday (2nd time), took Mom and Sam. The are all leaving on Friday so I will be going to the midnight book party by myself and coming home to an empty house to read until I can't read anymore!
I am hoping Pirates sticks around here at least one more week so I can go see it at least once again too! 6 times now for this one. Way behind the last one but it won't be going to the dollar theatre since we no longer have one :( .
I am getting so excited about our trip. It is just over 3 weeks away now!!! I even found where Walt's star and Johnny Depp's star are on Hollywood Blvd, going to see if I can talk Dave into going to those. We are going to take Sam to see Grauman's, going to look for JD's hand/footprints there too! :lmao:

But you're not at all obsessed, Kat...:lmao:
I'm going to the midnight book party as well...I'm supposed to teach CPR at 9am that day and then it's visiting day at Keith's camp, so I plan on sleeping on Sun, because I KNOW I'll start reading the book as soon as I get home...It's a good thing the CPR class is mostly video based, they won't notice my lack of sleep, or so I tell myself :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Who? Me? I'm not obsessed, I just have issues! Dave says I have Tinkerbell issues and Jack Sparrow issues. I have a new tattoo....Tinkerbell, so that just supports his theory!
Of course, my office done in Pirates, Tinkerbell, DCL and Dave and Sam doesn't indicate anything either! :lmao:
A coworker of mine is going to WDW in September, taking her mom for her 65th birthday. She says her mom has Jack Sparrow issues. I picked up on that and that is my excuse as well, and I am sticking with it!

Hi everyone....
our friends left last night...we had a good time.
Went to an awesome Braves game Saturday night..they're BIG baseball fans and live in Boston and can't ever get Sox tickets. He was a Braves fan growing up, so this was a good second place thing for him.
Haven't seen HP, between being out of town, catching up work and then guests coming just haven't had time!
I loved the post-credits part of Pirates...I had a friend that missed it. Said she was going back just to see that part...she had been so disappointed the way things ended, she just knew that would make her feel better!
And Kat, if you get to Graumanns, you're right by the Walk of Fame. Shouldn't be a problem to see the stars.

Hi everyone! Well, tomorrow night is the big night.... :wizard: !!!
The family was going to leave tomorrow, leaving me to my own devices for Friday evening and Saturday. Now they have decided not to leave until Saturday :( . Yes, it means DM will have her Potter 7 on CD to listen to on the road, but I will feel guilty about not wanting to pay attention to anyone while I bury myself in my book. Oh well, I guess I will just have to be at it later on Saturday than I had planned :confused3 .
Then Sunday I will go down to Indy to make my pilgrimage to the Disney store.
And I was bad today. Someone at work was selling a video ipod and I bought it! So this weekend I will also be figuring out how it works and getting my stuff put on there. I will definitely be downloading pirates 1 and 2!!!

We just got Brian back from his week at camp last night, but Kevin had left earlier for a weekend at the lake. I knew the laundry was going to be bad when Brian warned me about it!::yes:: I'm guessing Kevin's lake stuff won't be much better!
We're pretty much through all of our planned Summer stuff, except for the weekend at Hilton Head. But the boys only have three weeks left until school starts, so its time to start winding down. We were tentatively invited to stay at a friends place at Seaside, Florida the week before they start school, but I am not sure it is going to work out. Our friend mentioned it "if she could get her things worked out with her work schedule." Then when I checked the dates, I THINK she is talking about the same time we will already be gone. Oh well!
You guys have a good time, enjoy the book, and make sure you have a good reading light!:teacher:

I got to the book store around 10 last night and wandered around. I got in line for coffee and got a grande cappucino and was putting my sugar and cinnamon in when I spotted the nasty SIL and her entourage in the coffee line!:scared: I quickly headed another direction and went back to the front of the store. Shortly thereafter my friend from work (the Disney fanatic) and her husband came in. They had just seen OotP at the theatre. So we hung out and went to get her coffee where I pointed out the evil one in line ahead of us. At 11:30 they had everyone line up, snaked in and around the shelves of books. We chatted and everyone cheered as they wheeled carts of books up to the front. At 12:01 the line started moving and by 5 after we were outfront, books clutched in our hands. I also picked up mom's copy on CD. We parted and I walked back to my car to find an empty cup on the trunk. Then I noticed that SIL and her entourage had just gotten into the car next to mine!!!! And she was already looking at the last page! I followed them out of the parking lot while unwrapping my mom's CD copy and I put the first CD in as I drove down the road. I got stuck by a train for about 20 minutes but had the CD to keep me from losing my mind. I got home and sat down with the book and read until 3am. Having gotten 250 pages into it I was starting to fall asleep so I crawled into bed. I woke up just before 7 and went out to read some more. I read about 100 more pages then went to wake Dave and Sam up so they could leave. I helped get Mom and all the stuff in the van and they left between 9 and 9:30. As soon as I got back home I sat down and read until I was done---12:13! Wow, it is done, things are wrapped up, characters died, characters lived....
Now I am tired and am going to bed

We are staying at the Anaheim Camelot, across the street from the park. They have an outdoor pool on the 4th floor which is supposed to have a great view of the fireworks!
I am going down to Indy this afternoon to go to the Disney store and get the other two t-shirts I want. I have a 15% off card good only in the stores so I want to get two of the studio t's. Tink for me and Balloo for Dave. I got Fantasia Mickey for Sam a couple of weeks ago.
They are going to Niagara Falls today, then off to my Aunt and Uncle's. I have an empty house until Wendesday or Thursday! I think I am going to see Pirates III again today too. It is now at the cheap theatre ($2.75 - no more dollar theatres here).

But Joanie...you can use points at Shutters...its in the concierge collection. Have you looked at how many points to stay there? I hear it is very nice.
We've stayed at a Marriott in Newport...loved it. Its close enough to Disney, ocean view, very cool.
Kat, can't believe your trip is so close. We've had a change of plans. We were going to spend a weekend in HH at the beginning of August (sorta a last getaway before school starts) but got invited to a friends house down near Seaside/Watercolor on the Gulf Coast. The peace and quiet is nice for awhile than all it's like okay I had enough where is my family....
sure wish my sister would leave. She is driving me crazy. She makes faces at everything that she does not agree with and has a comment about how you are wrong and she is right. See where Morgan gets it from.
She has not helped me at all just keeps laying in the hammock , telling me to get up and do this and telling Michael to be a man when he fell hard on his bike and hurt him self and was crying.
She has even had the nerve to tell me how to discipline Michael and at 12:20 am jumped out of her bed got in his face pointing at him and telling him that that is no way to talk to your mother while I was dealing with the issue of him being over tiered. She got mad at me when I told her that I was dealing with it and she stormed out of the Motorhome stating" I am not going to listen to this"....
This is the sister who has left her troubled daughter with me. I see know why she is the way she is. So any advice...could drink more wine:thumbsup2
I cant stand to look at her cause she is always making faces. Even the lady in the camper next to me was upset due to her child being ill and asked if I new a local DR. just in case. My sister gave her a face and said just give her tylenol,,,,than remarked the problem with parents is they take there kids to the Dr.s to much and that if she did that everytime her kids were sick she would be broke than she waved her hand at the woman as to say : your an idiot"
My sister keeps messing up and not cleaning up...she just came in and threw a knife towards the sink it fell on the floor and she left it there with mayo all over it. Ciggerette butts all over the camp site, she drinks the Water bottles and just throews them on the ground...man O man
Well thanks for listening to me gripe....

I'd ask her nicely to pick up after herself. If she didn't, I'd tell her to do it. If she still didn't I'd pick up the things she dropped and put them on her bed with a big empty trash bag next to them so she had to move them to go to bed. Geesh, what a b***h, pardon my french but she sounds like she really is one.

Hey Robin, Joanie, I have a DVC question for you. When the cruises were announced, you booked assuming when points came out you would apply them. Does that mean you booked through Member Services or how did you do that?

Yes we booked through member services. It took a long time for the pts to come out and when they did that is when I cancelled one of the cruises and decided to use those pts for 7 days at Grandcalifornia before the cruise.
Still waiting for the GC pts to come out also,:confused3 for 2008
O and first I booked through DCL than transfered to DVC only because I was paying cash for one and wanted to be sure to be in the same room for the 2 weeks. But for the pts you always have to go through DVC member services to use them.
Are you thinking of becoming a DVC member?????

We joined DVC in 1993. We've added on a couple of times since then.
But, I've never tried to make a reservation when they don't have the points charts out yet. Especially when you go outside of the resorts, I wasn't sure how that worked!

hi sherrena,
hope your weekend is going well...
as for the points i have been a member forever..this is the first time they allowed us to book a cruise wthout having the point value yet (that i know of)...i bookd it wth member service but when they came out wth the point value (which took them forever) i changed my week to the better week pointwise..thy are going to guarantee me the catagory i wanted but wont tell me what deck or room i am in untill i board the ship..:confused3 ..i guess its an adventure...basically i didnt book to be in the room..so i dnt really care where it is..just as long as it has a port hole for light...
some say they could upgrade us,complimentary, if they overbookd my catagory..i do not know if this is true..
i imagine when the points came out some people had to cancel because they didnt have enough points...it was alot of points..and there was only one date for the lesser points..but it wasnt that much less..i dont care..i cant wait..
ill sleep in the life boat if i have to..i love thr cruises..

Well, the SIL's BF got arrested the other day. One class C and two class D felonies against my niece (who is 10 years old!). They have evidence from his computer hard drive plus she says that he slept in her bed, had her take showers with him and he did just about everything but have actual in*******se with her!!!!! Like this is a surprise to any of us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  :headache:
I feel bad for the kid. SIL told the ex last night and he is going to be at the courthouse first thing this morning to use this in his battle for full custody. Hopefully he will get it!!!!!
On a more cheerful note, got dd registered for school last night and stopped in to see her teacher (same one as last year).

Well, see it's like this...she met him online about 3 years ago and they started dating. After about 6 months she had him move in (in my mother's house, mind you!). Shortly afterwards we got flyers in our mailbox from the national database for sex offenders with his picture. So we asked them what was up with that. Apparently he told her when they started dating but had her convinced that he was innocent and it was all a frame! Dave and I didn't believe it though and wouldn't let Sam go over there if he was the only adult around after that. Shortly thereafter we told them he had to move out as I was not going to have my mother put up with the abuse the neighbors were perpetrating. Even after he moved out they took video with dates whenever he stayed overnight, etc. Then last December just before the cruise Mom kicked her out due to the credit card fraud thing.
Well apparently earlier this week DN told a friend that someone was hurting her. The little girl who is 11 and 1 month older than Sam went to her mom and asked her if someone told her they were being hurt should she tell the parent. Her mom, in an uncommon show of common sense, told her yes AND didn't press for details. So she told the SIL. So a 10yo went through a full rape exam and recounted all the various things he did over 2+ years AND they found naked pics of her on his computer's hard drive!
This is DH's sister and he just shakes his head. He pretty much disowned her last year over the cc fraud with my Mom and given the BF's history this didn't really surprise us at all. Sad....

Tink is on my left arm, outside of the arm near the shoulder.
According to the weather forecasts I have found it is supposed to be hotter here the rest of the week than it is supposed to be in LA!!!!
Why tomatoes?? Do they help with skunk smell? I coworker's dog had a runin with a skunk and she says he still stinks.

Hi everyone!
Just got back from the beach. We stayed with friends at Grayton Beach, just outside of Seaside and Watercolour on the Florida panhandle. Had a good time. The weather was nice until yesterday. Then it just got blasted hot and the breeze died.:sad2: We're having a REALLY hot week this week. But I guess a lot of the country is.
Robin, we started going to WDW every few years at New Years for the milennium. We have a blast! It is such a great place to be! We'll be doing it this year again because the kids don't go back to school until something like January 8. Our technique is to go to the parks for the day, then about 9:00 when it gets so crowded you can't walk, we head back to the room, find a beverage, play some games with the kids, and then about 11:30 head to where we can see fireworks. It's really fun!:thumbsup2
OK, back to RL--:laundy: and back-to-school planning!

Kat, glad you had a good trip. Besides Disneyland, what was your favorite part?
Robin, Kat, we're right there with the back to school club. Winding down to the end of that first week. They go back with a vengeance here! They start full days, Monday Morning, and get right to it! By today the adrenaline had worn off and everyone seemed to have trouble getting up.
Kevin is now in fifth, and his class rules the elementary school! This should be a good year for him, other than if I remember right the middle school attitude really gets going toward the end of this year.
Brian is a freshman and Patrick a Junior in high school. I think this could be a rough year with both. Patrick is taking very difficult classes and he knows Junior year is what colleges will see. I see him applying the pressure to himself right now! Brian has the opposite problem, doesn't want pressure, way too worried about friends. I'll be needing a lot of wine, I'm sure!

Well....most of them are brief!;)
Yep, I still chat with the WPASADI thread people every day...not much is going on there...although there are hints that they are going to do the second chance thing. I just like some of the people I "met."
One of the girls just got back from MY high school graduation...we graduated from high school in the same town in the same year... (The two high schools had a combined reunion.) Small world, huh? Then there's the fact that we have betrothed our 14 year olds...;) (She doesn't know what she's getting into-but I've tried to warn her!):rotfl: :rotfl:
Then I've been doing some stuff on the DVC boards figuring out how to use some points for a reservation I had to cancel...
And we've been looking into possibly an ABD next year before people and money start heading to college so I've been posting there. You know, the numbers just add up....
And a good amount of that 5000 posts came here!:)

Yes it is a small world, did you know her before the DIS?
What is ABD? So where are you thinking of going? You should hit the DCL again and sail with us! will you be doing the new ships when they come out?
when the new ships come out we will be on them. We may try a different cruise line again in between since the kids are getting older or just go to Hawaii. I sure love to cruise though. Billie wants to go to Hawaii so that is what we will most likely do.
I hang out mostly in the community board. Like you i have met many people there that I like also. I do stroll around the other boards but not over your way that often. there were some nice people over there.
Wonder if anyone is going to pop in her again? are we the sole survivors? Think we are the only regular DIS goers out of this bunch. I am DISing everyday, how about you?
Michael has been out of school for 2 days with some kind of bug. I usually get on every day at least to check in...in fact the DIS is usually just minimized.
Glad homework is going better with Michael. The tutor thing is working for Patrick, he helps him understand stuff that his teacher for Advanced Algebra and Trig just isn't getting through.
And I tell my teenagers that my hormones can match theirs any day!:lmao:
ABD is Adventures by Disney. We're thinking about an overseas trip, and for us a guided thing seems to be the way to go. Might as well look into the Disney one! The prices start out seeming extremely high, but when you figure that all of your activities, many of your meals, many of your tips and fees are all included, it doesn't come out quite as badly. Plus, you don't have to figure out how to get to all of the places. And one thing I know is that when you go somewhere that you want to see a lot, you don't want to waste any time!
I'm sure there will be some cruises again in our future, but DH doesn't want to do a "shakedown cruise" on the new ships. He'll wait until they work through their "issues."
And the girl who went to high school right by me? We never met. She just mentioned her hometown in a post and we got to comparing stories...we even knew some of the same people!:rotfl:
And I think we can officially be considered the "winners" here. Everyone else does seem to have left. The least they could have done was say goodbye...
See you around!

Well school here doesn't start until 9/4, and I'm off to my favorite place on Earth with Keith next Tues. Yup, 11 days at WDW, thank you DVC!!!!!!!!
We found out one of Keith's friends from TKD school is going to be there for some of these days, so hopefully we can get the boys together. That should be fun!
I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!
Kat, how was DL? Hope you had a blast!
Wished I'd checked this thread on 8/13 -- we were at WDW (Yacht Club) from 8/14 - 8/23 (and stuck in Florida until 8/25 due to bad weather in Chicago and incompetence of American Airlines!) and we may have passed each other in the parks. Hope you had a good time.
We've canceled our Disney cruise for next summer so I am not on the DIS much any more. :sad2: Too much money, conflict with school schedules and Janie really wants us to do Europe before DS13 gets too old, so we need to save and plan for that.

Hi all. sorry I haven't been around. Since we got back from DL I haven't really been on here at all.
I have been getting into doing beaded jewelry and have gotten to where I am selling it. Check out www.figments.etsy.com and www.eclecticmiscellany.etsy.com . Both of those are mine. I have two craft shows coming up, one October 20th and one on December 8. And I have gotten a spot in a Saturday Salon in March at the local craft gallery. I have been busy, as you can see.
I am jealous of you ladies with plans for WDW and cruises. We have gotten rid of credit cards and are working on paying everything off so no real travel plans for us for awhile. Next year will be little weekend trips only.

Thank you Joanie. No, I don't make my own beads. Wish I did, though!
Dave has said that when we go to Europe (probably 2009) we can go to Euro Disney!!!! I am going to hold him to it! Of course, the timing of any new ships possibly going to Alaska may affect that too. But he also says no shakedown cruise, so we wouldn't go on the first few anyway.
Sherrena, I heard yesterday that Sprint had some shakeups. How is Dave doing? Do things look ok for him?

The shakeups at Sprint were at the very top...in fact, THE top guy. I'm sure there will be fallout, but in Dave's little world things are going very well, so we hope that means things are good for him.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your concerns and as Sherrena mentioned we are fine. Have been very very busy with rescuing horses that have needed to be evacuated.
Could not get some into the trailers and needed to get out right away, had to leave some behind. Some people had a 2 horse trailer but 4 or more horses and we could not get there in time to get them out.
Have been also taking care of the horses at the rescue site, It's called horse camp. We have sooooo many donations and all the restarants bring us food everyday to feed the volunteers. I have not posted here sorry for not thinking about it.
I am taking a short break today and may be going back to the camp tonight for horses to be fed.
Still real smoky here but kids will return back to school on monday.
so on the lighter side of things....how are all of you and Alaska all the way for me. Hope DCL decides to do that.
Are you all familure about Disney building a 800 room hotel in Hawaii...it will be a combo DVC hotel. Will definatly check it out. Billie has been wanting to go to Hawaii for a long time so what better to go Disney when going there.:thumbsup2

Hi Joanie...
Shakedown cruise is a term my husband used...taken from some old song.
His point is that the first cruise or two on a new ship is bound to have....ummmmm...learning experiences. He prefers to wait until the bugs have been worked out!
Hopefully you won't need too many rabbits feet for the first trip to Mexico...at least the crew will be mostly the same, no new ship, etc.!:goodvibes

Hope y'all had a Happy Thanksgiving. Janie went out shopping today and commented how much easier it was last year when we didn't have to buy the kids many presents because the cruise was our Christmas present.
Hard to believe it has been almost a year.
We should all get together in one of the chat rooms on 12/16 and remember the Magic of last Christmas.

Hi J.R how have you been??? Your right is was easier this year shopping for today. I took Billie out and bought him a 58" plasma panasonic HD 1080p Television. It was crowded in Circuit city however. Lots of TV buyers.
We have a 63" TV now but is not Plasma or LCD. Did lots of research and decided on plasma. Bit ticket item total of $5500 but Billie works hard and he has been wanting it for sooooo long that figured why not.
So what have you and the family been up to...how was your Thanksgiving?
Nice to see your still visiting here;) Would be fun to gather together here for the holidays....I'm in:thumbsup2
Well I'm tiered and have to go to sleep. I am all TV'd out from a stressful day of money spending. Seems the older the kids get the less presents they get but the presents get more expendive...geeesh
have a great day and will watch for you here.:santa: :hourglass

Hi everyone,
I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy late Hanukkah(sp). We are looking forward to Christmas and all is going great here. We are looking forward to our next trip to DL and DCL in July.
We cancelled our New Years trip to DL due to one of our dogs being so old and needing the extra attention that we can only give him.
To those of you that sent me cards,,,thanks it put a smile on my face. Have yet to get my cards out and not sure if will make my deadline for that this year but know I will be thinking of you all.
This is the first year that my kids don't believe in Santa so that makes things a little different when shopping. Michael is still questioning it some but he for the most part believes it is me a and Billie. Sorta changes the feel of things but not in a bad way but in a way that makes me feel like they can have fun and celebrate with a little different prospective.
Cant explain it but for you that have kids and went through this you can relate what I am saying....
Well I will come back again and just like Shereena I get a notification anytime anyone posts here so I come right in.
Happy holidays and have a blessed year!!!!!:santa:

Hi all!
So what were you doing a year ago?popcorn::
We left for our magical adventure on our way to meet virtual friends and spend and amazing Holiday in beautiful places!:cloud9:
We will be home this year for Christmas, but are heading to WDW afterward and will spend New Years there. We're also stopping at U of Florida on the way back doing a college visit. We're starting to do that around the Southeast now, our oldest will be applying next year.
I'm pretty sure Kev doesn't believe in :santa: any more, but won't say so. That takes some of the stress off, but we still go through the motions. We told them all a long time ago that Santa didn't come to those that didn't believe in him! So now I think Kev doesn't want to admit anything!;)
Hope all of you have a blessed Holiday!:goodvibes
