I have been busy signing DD up for different summer camps. I can't believe Spring Break is in two weeks. We have a WDW vacation the middle of May. Then three weeks later school is out! Summer will go quickly and the cruise will be here before you know it! :cheer2:

Paul was right! The weather was GORGEOUS today! Felt like summer!

We got our stuff from Cafe Press. Now we are going to order again. I think we are going to get Dom her own little journal.

I thought we were the only ones having a delimna(sp) about the car seat. Dom will be 5 but she weighs less than 40 lbs. She still sits in her booster seat. 5 point restraint. Dog,, one more thing to schlepp through the airports. We bought her a new Princess stroller. Very light weight, so that shouldnt be to bad. We might try it out in WDW this week.

Thanx for posting this Paul! Just now when I pulled up the bridge cam she is *IN* the Miraflores Locks. How cool is that!

But why does the Canal cam show a different ship than the view from the Celebrity ship? I thought it was all in real time? Hmmmm.....

Interesting looking at her Voyage Schedule that comes up on the screen: 14 nights and 4 ports!! Just like us!!

Nancy,
She's actually in the Pedro Miguel Locks...just before the Centennial Bridge. They did the Miraflores Locks around 8am EST.

Another thing that I noticed was that the 3 canal webcams are not all at the same time.

Arlene,
I read somewhere 8-10 hrs. We can verify this by seeing how long the Infinity takes today.

By the way, I found a schedule and the webcam links at the following site:

We rode Buzz 2 more times last night. Found out that there are some hidden targets, just keep shooting everything. Howard managed to hit 2 hidden targets and beat me (even though I was ahead of him before he found those). At least now I know where they are. Doesn't look like the email a pic is working yet. We tried last night and didn't get it and I've heard of others not getting theirs either. My biggest complaint is they have yet to figure out how to create a fast pass line that allows people to see. Like Autopia they have some interesting things to look at just past where the regular line and the fast pass line merge. This is the area they like to keep clear, so you barley get to see that part, and you're stuck waiting in the hallway. I wish they would fill the line in that room so that you can watch Buzz and the etch a sketch longer.

To those that have made ressies at the Curacao Aquarium did they charge your Credit Card in advance, or will that be done at the time of the excursion?
Also was it Renee that said they can't guarantee the Dolphin Swim because cruise ships may want the spaces?
I want to call this week but want the info in advance of calling/emailing.. Also what date are we in Curacao?

Yes, it was me that was told they can't guarantee our ressies.

I just checked my credit card account and nothing has been posted to the account yet. I'll keep checking it to see, but I don't think they'll charge me until it gets to two months away since that's when she said they can guarantee the reservation.

I have reserved an Animal Adventure Snorkel excursion at the Aquarium. I just checked with my credit card company and it HAS already been charged.
Here's the "fine print" of the Confirmation I got from them:

"Thank you for booking an activity at the Curaçao Sea Aquarium.

Hereby you receive our confirmation for:

First_Name__________ = ARLENE
Family_Name________ = ********
Staying_in_Curacao_at = Cruise Ship Arrival - Disney Magic (August
30, 2005)
Phone_number_on_Curacao = n/a
Email_address_______ = ***************
Divingcertification = Yes
Online_booked_activity1 = Animal Encounters Snorkeling 9am - $34
Date_for_activity_1 = 30
Month_for_activity_1 = August
Year_for_activity_1 = 2005
Amount_of_participants1 = 3
Names_of_participants1 = Martin (51), Arlene (44),
Lara (9)

Please bring this confirmation email as reference to your reservation.

The Curacao Sea Aquarium and Dolphin Academy reserve the right to change
time and/or day of you reservation in case of unforeseen circumstances.
Prices are valid until July 1st 2005. In case of cancellations we do not
give any refunds. Reservations have to be paid in advance or guaranteed with
a credit card or with down payment to a tour operator. The admittance fee to
the Curaçao Sea Aquarium will not be charged in case of guaranteed
reservations with a minimum of 24 hours in advance."

I was UNHAPPY with the statement that in the event of cancellations no refunds are available. I contacted Mark de Hoo, Manager of the Curacao Aquarium by e-mail to clarify this. He has replied to reassure me that it's obviously not feasible to reschedule our excursions to another day, so this will not apply. However, I also got confirmation from him that, in the unlikely event that the ship is unable to dock in Curacao as scheduled, he will honour full refunds. (Apparently Curacao is not in the hurricane zone and he's never heard of a cruiseship unable to dock in Curacao.)

Hopefully this information helps!

I just sent them an email asking about the reservation confirmation and why my credit card has not been charged when someone else in our group's has. It shouldn't make a difference that we booked different encounters.

Grumbo - what time are you going to book for the Dolphin Encounter? We're booked for 2:30 pm, hopefully.

I was looking at a bit earlier actually. Figured we could do the swim thing, and then shop etc so we're back to the ship in time for our early seating. I think the 2:30 might be a bit of a rush, if we want to eat on the ship. Then again after being onboard all that time maybe we'll eat on terra firma that day :)

It's a wonderful March day here :rolleyes: . It was 35 and raining when I left for work at 7:30 this morning. It started to snow mid morning and has been snowing hard ever since. The roads all had at least an inch of snow on them when I came home tonight at 5 and it was only 15 out. It's windy, so it's drifting really bad. To make matters worse, I pulled off one road onto the main road (a 4 lane road), made the turn through all the snow and go about 500 feet and have to stop and pull into the right hand lane because someone is PARKED in the left lane of this 4 lane road (where the speed limit is supposed to be 40 mph) SCRAPING her windows. REAL SMART. She could have at least pulled to the right or pulled into the parking lot of one businesses right there (next to where she was "parked").

That was my wonderful drive home.....

Jenny I understand about your drive home. My windshield wiper decided to cease doing its' job this morning. And even after running the defroster and heater full blast it still wasn't working right. :mad: Then it finally stopped snowing and is frigid and very windy. Driving with the snow blowing across the road and directly into the windshield is no fun. Kept thinking about that movie "the Day After Tomorrow." Should have seen the poor dog. She went out and turned around and tried to get right back in.

Anyway glad we all made it home safely.

I didn't even bother with the wipers 'cause it was just making it worse - spreading the melted snow out on the windshield and freezing immediatley, so I just left it there. Our dog does the same thing. He sometimes doesn't even step off the stoop. He turns around and heads right back in. There's no making him go if he does that.

That way it is more generic for male or female. Does it cost anything to throw it up with Marsha's stuff on the Cafepress? Would look good on some of their stuff and totes etc with the Survivor logo.

A biology teacher wished to demonstrate to his students the harmful effects of alcohol on living organisms. For his experiment, he showed them a beaker with pond water in which there was a thriving civilization of worms. When he added some alcohol into the beaker the worms doubled-up and died.

"Now," he said,” what do you learn from this?"

An eager student gave his answer. "Well the answer is obvious," he said " if you drink alcohol, you'll never have worms."

They say plagarism is the truest form of flattery, and this was posted by Heathercat on the main page, but as I don't go there often, I missed it and thought some of you may have also. (Think that was a run-on sentence but oh well :) ).....

A lot is happening aboard the Magic and Wonder, and we have the latest news.

DRESS POLICY CHANGE

Jeans are now acceptable attire under the revised "Cruise Casual" dress policy. It is still requested that guests do not wear shorts, swimwear or tank tops to the dining rooms.

The attire is determined by the day, not the restaurant with the exception of Palo. The seven night cruise has a formal night, semi-formal night, pirate/tropical night and four "Cruise Casual" nights.

On the 3 and 4 day cruises there is one night where "dress-up" attire is requested. Men are asked to wear a jacket while ladies are asked to wear either a dress or nice pantsuit.

WEST COAST CRUISES

Disney Cruise Line is strongly recommending that all guests, including U.S. citizens, who are cruising aboard the Magic while it's based in California have passports. This includes guests who are on the two repositioning cruises.

For information in obtaining a passport, here's a link to the official government website . Please allow 6 weeks for processing. Expedited service is available for an additional fee.

TRANSFER POLICY/PRICE CHANGES:

As of 1/3/05 Disney Cruise Line has raised the prices of their transfers. The only exception is for land/sea package holders. The price has changed from $69.00 to $59.00 to reflect the new Magical Express program. THIS REDUCED PRICE ONLY APPLIES TO GUESTS TRAVELING FROM 5/5/05 THROUGH THE END OF THIS PROMOTION.

NEW SHOW ON THE MAGIC

An exclusive show is debuting on the Disney Magic. Scheduled for the first night, it follows the tale of a young cruise guest who dreams of becoming the ship's captain. Mickey, Minne and a host of Disney characters guide him on his journey of discovery.

Intertwined in this musical presentation are helpful hints and an overview of the events and activities that guests can enjoy during their voyage. The ship's officers will be introduced as part of this program.

PALO DRESS CODE

During dinner, gentlemen will be required to wear a dress shirt. Gentlemen wearing polo shirts, t-shirts, Tommy Bahama style shirts, etc will not be allowed admittance. Jackets and/or ties are still recommended but not required. Notices will be in the Personal Navigator, on the Palo reservation card and a sign outside the elevators on deck 10 will contain this dress advisory. The Resort Casual dress code for both the brunch and high tea remains unchanged.

CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES

Andy’s Birthday Party (5-7 year olds) - It’s Andy’s birthday and you’re invited to join in the festivities. The kids will draw and color a picture of a favorite friend from “Toy Story”. There’s face painting and they can “Pin the Hat on Woody.”

Brother Bear (3-4 year olds) - Both instructional and fun, the little ones will learn the story of “Brother Bear” through a variety of activities. They’ll make bear masks, walk through the “woods” and play a memory game on the memory game wall.

Carnival Welcome Party (8-12 year olds) - Step right up and try your hand at a fun Carnival game. Ring toss and ping-pong toss are just a couple of the activities planned. No carnival is complete without face painting. It’s a great welcome that the kids are sure to enjoy.

Conversation with an Officer (8-12 year olds) - A fascinating look at careers at sea for the youngsters. They ships officers will explain his/her duties. It’s the perfect opportunity for the budding sailors aboard the ship to learn about the staff. Hands on activities are included as they learn marine knot tying.

Crabby Crafts & Island Arts (3-12 year olds) - Tailored to the different age groups, the kids will make crafts with a sea life theme. An ocean matching game is part of the fun.

Pop Stars Party (8-12 year olds) - Lights, camera, action! The kids will feel like VIPs as they have their close-up shot taken, make a videotape and leave their handprints on the wall of stars. A group photo is part of the fun.

Ocean Moves (3-7 year olds) - The little ones will have a ball as they’re led in exercises with a nautical theme. By imitating creatures of the deep, they’ll dance and move about in this fun activity.

Salty Sea (3-12 year olds) - With the specific age groups in mind, the activities in this science program are designed to teach the children how ships stay afloat. They’ll make their own salt water and learn about the dynamics behind flotation.

Stack Stars (teens) - Does your teen have a special talent? They can perform before the camera in this talent competition. The other teens can vote for their favorite “Cruise Idol.”

Toy Story Welcome Aboard Party (8-12 year olds) - Two of the most beloved characters from” Toy Story”, Jesse and Woody, will be welcoming the kids to the Oceaneers lab. An evening of “Toy Story” themed activities is planned.

CAPTAINS WELCOME RECEPTION & CHARACTER GREETINGS – DISNEY MAGIC
The Captain’s Welcome Reception is now being held on deck 3. Character Greetings will take place at Preludes.

SMOKING AREAS

Diversions is now allowing smoking throughout the day in the bar area of the club. The exception to this policy will be when there are children’s programs scheduled in this area.

HAIR WRAPPING
In addition to hairbraiding, guests on the Disney Magic will able to get hairwraps. The fee is the same as at Disney World - $1.50 per inch.

NASSAU DEPARTURE
Beginning in 8/19/04 and until 2/20/05, the Disney Wonder three night cruise will depart Nassau at 7:30pm in order to better facilitate the popular Tropical Deck Party.

STATEROOM TELEVISION
There are now seven movie channels to choose from while viewing movies from your stateroom.

60’s FAMILY DANCE PARTY

A fun family event where guests can dance to the live band performing favorite Beatles tunes. The Mop Tops are joined by the cruise staff who are wearing their favorite 60’s styles. (This party is held on the Disney Wonder 4 day cruise only at 7:45pm.)

SODA PROGRAM
Self serve soda dispensers have been installed at the deck 9 beverage station, Topsiders, Beach Blanket Buffet and on Castaway Cay by Cookies BBQ. Soft drinks are complimentary at these locations. Soda served at full serve bars/lounges will still have a fee.

COFFEE MACHINE – PRELUDES PANTRY
For guests required to go through Immigration while onboard, a coffee machine has been placed at Preludes Pantry.

DISNEY MAGIC – CASUAL DINING
Casual dining in Topsiders aboard the Magic is now full serve instead of buffet at dinner.

HOUSEKEEPING
You can wrap yourself in an oversized bath sheet once the current towels are phased out and replaced. All linens, towels and bed pillows are being upgraded.

MERCHANDISE
Fans of the Golden Mickeys show will find statues and pins available in the gift shop.

Cheers,
Grumbo

Grahame--

I can add a design with just the center "survivor" graphic, no problem. Should it be on the back, as it is now, the front center, or the front left pocket area?

I'll look into adding it to the CafePress site. To be honest, I just think they're a bit too restrictive on how they run their site. Like only allowing one design per store unless you pay for it or open multiple stores. Too much of a hassel.

And actually, after looking at the prices again, Zazzle is very comparable to CafePress.

Cheers,
Grumbo

We saw this on the 10 day. It wasn't too bad. Not spectacular, but not bad really.

I just want to be clear! Concerning the survivor t-shirt idea, this was actually Grumbo's vision. He mentioned it to me several months ago and I just started playing with it graphically yesterday. So, the root idea was Graham's and not mine. :)

Just don't want anyone to think I'm attempting to steal their ideas. :)

If it involves cost, don't worry about it kmiles. As for the survivor graphic, I kind of like the front left, or large back. However don't go to too much work. If its easy to do fine, otherwise I appreciate all you've done with this.

Cheers,
Grumbo

Yippee!! UPS.com says my Chadwick's order is "out for delivery" i.e., on the truck and coming to ME!! I was able to get all the free things (except the grill) including the phone thingy and the 30% off AND the free shipping. I feel like a thief! I can't wait to see my Stuff. :goodvibes

I finally went to the doctor yesterday. 3+ weeks of being sick made me realize this wasn't going to go away on it's own. Both kids ended up on antibiotics after 3 weeks and now I have, too (I got sick almost a week later than they started). Doc says I have Bronchitis and that the local schools are having outbreaks of Whooping Cough and I might have that, too. Lovely. I wanted to Whoop it up on the ship not here in Chicago in March!! :cold:

Pink is the new white. For now at least. :)

Haven't any of you noticed the resurgence of young men wearing pink again? Think Miami Vice. Just leave the white pants at home. :rotfl:Actually I just read that white jeans for women are coming back. Men can't be too far behind!

Now, does the Sisterhood want their own shirt?

Hey, gotta be fair about all of this. ;)Yes! Yes! Sign me up! Thanx for offering! :teeth:

The back room is up and running now.Oh, I see. This must be where the brotherhood goes for all it's deal making and dot-thread deciphering. Hrmph! :mad:

New shirt design for the Brotherhood on the other site. Check it out and let me know if there is any interest in maybe printing some of these off.

And thanks to Grahame for the original idea!!! :)David will probably want one of these. Cool design, kmiles! Although I think DH is still sore 'cause he never got the dot-thread password. :charac4:

MARK: Get with it buddy! We still need the pic of the Barbie glass reposted and I am still waiting for answers on DVC and whether or not we need a car seat on the port-MCO bus. Methinks you have not been reading *all* the posts - bad, bad in my book!! :faint:

TRACY:Do all the wine tasting participants need to bring a corkscrew for their wine? Just thinking ahead for my packing list. Please let us know. Thanx!

this was posted by Heathercat on the main page, but as I don't go there often, I missed it and thought some of you may have also.Thanx for posting this Grahame! I don't get over there ether very often and missed this, too! Are "Cruise Casual" and "Resort Casual" supposed to be the same thing?

Nancy, I had the Whooping Cough many years ago. I was a newly graduated nurse working in Pediatrics. One of the little darlings gave me Whooping Cough. For several years after that every time I had a cold I sounded like I had it all over again. So you should be able to Whoop it up on the ship in August. I hope you don't really have it. Bronchitis is bad enough.

Could someone post a link so that I can see the shirt for the Sisterhood? Please. DH never wears tee shirts so I don't have to worry about him showing up in the one for the guys in any color. :teeth:

Lisa F and all others who are ailing or just plain simply run down and fed up with the weather - just remember "Annie" - the sun'll come out tomorrow - the seasons are about to do their quarterly rotation - spring will be here before you know it and all of a sudden things will start looking up. Tracy's already packed her corkscrew and gradually you'll all start accumulating the things for the cruise - probably in a corner of your bedroom or spare room - and you'll see them daily - and the cruise will start looming larger and larger as you look forward to meeting all your DIS friends - there doesn't that feel better already!

It only takes seconds to add a new store to Cafepress and add the logo to items. I can have as many free stores as I want, if there is a real interest in adding the "Out Cruise" logo onto the same stuff (totes, thongs, etc) and Jason can send me the artwork, I will be more than happy to do so.

Once upon a time,

~~~~~~~~
In a land far away,
~~~~~~~~

A beautiful, independent,

~~~~~~~~
Self-assured princess
~~~~~~~~
Happened upon a frog as she sat,

~~~~~~~~
Contemplating ecological issues
~~~~~~~~

On the shores of an unpolluted pond

~~~~~~~~
In a verdant meadow near her castle.
~~~~~~~~

The frog hopped into the princess' lap

~~~~~~~~
And said: Elegant Lady,
~~~~~~~~

I was once a handsome prince,

~~~~~~~~
Until an evil witch cast a spell upon me.
~~~~~~~~

One kiss from you, however,

~~~~~~~~
And I will turn back
~~~~~~~~

Into the dapper, young prince that I am

~~~~~~~~
And then, my sweet, we can marry
~~~~~~~~

And set up housekeeping in your castle

~~~~~~~~
With my mother,
~~~~~~~~

Where you can prepare my meals,

~~~~~~~~
Clean my clothes
~~~~~~~~

bear my children,

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And forever feel grateful and happy doing so.
~~~~~~~~

That night,

~~~~~~~~
As the princess dined sumptuously
~~~~~~~~

On lightly sauteed frog legs

~~~~~~~~
Seasoned in a white wine
~~~~~~~

And onion cream sauce,

~~~~~~~~
She chuckled and thought to herself:
~~~~~~~~

I don't think so! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

At least 1 bus will leave no later then 9AM, this will put you at the airport before 10AM, the other bus's departure time has not yet been decided. I like the idea of the disers' names on the back. Just imagine how small the lettering would be if ALL the names were on the back. And spelling is also a consideration. Eldest DD has friends who owned a screen printing business for a while. They had an order from one of the local middle schools for 200 tshirts. All the names were on the back. Due to a less than intellegent assistant the names were never checked for spelling. They donated the first 200 shirts to the day care centers for paint smocks. Had to redo the entire order.

Hey, it was a business trip (literally). I spent all 3 days-at-sea in the conference room attending meetings from 8am to 5pm (do you know how much it sucks to get up at 6am on a day-at-sea????).

We had an unexpected stop in Cozumel on Friday (which was a day-at-sea) ... medical emergency (don't know exactly what) and someone had to be taken off the ship.

For those that have dealt with Zazzle how is their sizing?
Do they fit small, large, or is the sizing given pretty well on?

Cheers,
Grumbo

Depends on the T

The Basic tee fits true to size. Supposedly 99% pre shrunk cotton.

The ladies Baby Doll T is SMALL. The web sight says go one size up. I went 2 sizes up and I am glad I did! We are not having any wet t-shirt contests, are we? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: The baby doll style is cute! VERY SMALL! I wear a large and bought an XXL and it is none too loose! :earseek:

I just purchased a DCL Survivor shirt from Zazzel! (The latest design with just the logo on the back.)

Total cost was just over $20 with shipping. I'll take pictures of the actual item once I receive it so that everyone can see how they turn out.

Hopefully we won't encounter any problems with the company like Renee did!

We had no problems with Zazzle. The shirts are nice.

kmiles: Brian & I love the brotherhood t-shirts! I will find where we can order them cause he wants some. Yes, I have the list of the sisterhood and their positions. Just a quick ask and I'll send to whomever!

What about a shirt with a list of the Sisterhood members and their respective positions?

Someone had posted something like that ages ago. I think it may have been Barbara. I think she was keeper of the list.

I think you're right-on about the color, Robin.

Cheers,

OK, I just measured the Zazzle shirts against the Cafepress ones and here is what I found:

Zazzle shirts are the same width as the Cafepress ones but about 3 inches LONGER. You should see Haley's shirt, she is going to swim in it. I am going to see if I can shrink it in the wash to make it fit better.

The other thing I noticed is the design seems like it will crack because it is stiffer or harder on the Zazzle ones. The design on the Cafepress ones seem more
softer.

Again, this is just my personal opinion, and my experience with the Zazzle personnel have nothing to do with my feeling about the design on the shirts.

I know I feel the same way about them holding the spots for the cruise ships. That's not fair since we can go to the Aquarium and do the Dolphin Encounter a lot cheaper than DCL is offering it even when paying for a taxi!

That seems incredibly unfair, ESPECIALLY since Disney isn't even offering Dolphin Excursions online for Curacao!!! Are they planning to add this on later for the August group but not the May one??? Something's not right with this picture! Are they sure it's OUR cruise ship they're holding the spaces for??? There could be another cruiselines' ship in port on the same day!

Jeanne:

I wouldn't worry about it -- I'm not. I booked our Orlando to Phila tickets back in October and was really happy with the price and flight time I got. First time I was actually able to get a Noon flight. Then all those rumors started and I thought we'd lose out, but it sounds like they are going to come out okay. So, we'll see -- but I know United is their back-up -- so we can always go over to them. We are, however, probably going to book with Southwest for our one-way leg from Phila to Las Vegas pre-cruise only because we can get that for half the price of U.S. Air. I haven't flown any other airline but U.S. Air in more than 20 years, so I'm a novice with other airlines.

What time does your flight leave Orlando?

Talked to Disney Dudette #1 regarding her flight but she isn't booked yet. We are booked on a 12:20 PM direct flight (United) from MCO to PHL. We paid $87.70 each which I thought was reasonable. So now we have flight to LAX booked & paid & the flight from MCO home booked & paid. Now we need to pay off the cruise! Bonnie is going to send the check for the bus.

I share your concerns about USAir. I flew them last weekend on a short flight to NC only because I knew we would only have carry-on luggage. Didn't want to chance a "sick-out" with our luggage held hostage on the plane. We are flying Delta with Skymiles for the cruise. Can't beat the price!

OK I have still been corresponding with the lady from the dolphin academy and this is the way the excursions seem to work for the dolphin swim, and the other excursions at the aquarium.............

The block for the cruise ship is for the activities of Dolphin Academy. For the other activities you will have to contact the Sea Aquarium. I want to inform you tough that it is a possibility that their programs are also reserved by the ship.

So it appears as though the dolphin academy, and the aquarium are two separate and unique entities.

Yep, I just got this reply:

The reason wherefore there is a difference is because we are two different companies.

Next to this it will be very probable to book our programs through your shore excursion manager because we recently started to work together with the Disney cruises.

I would advise you to contact the ship and to make sure that do indeed offer the programs. This because we have strong policy’s with the ships.

Your credit card info will be destroyed so there can be no charges on the card.

So it looks like we have to go through DCL for these excursions. :(

Don't you think there are people that visit the island that would like to doo the tours and all? Of course, you might want to wait t couple of weeks so they forget who you are...................................

There's one in Acapulco. Pricing is outrageous, though! Dolphin Encounter is $149/adult $110/child 3-9 Dolphin Swim is $199/adult and $169 child 5-9

Considering what the prices booking directly with the Aquarium were offered at, the Cruise Line is making some SERIOUS money on this excursion!!!!!

Unless I missed it somewhere, I thought the interesting thing is that DCL is only offering the Aquarium but not any of the encounters or swims so how could we book with them if they don't offer it?

This is located at one-step ahead

car seat weighs 10 pounds
built in carrying handle
folds in half
fits kids 30-100 pounds
for kids 38-57" tall
$89.95Dang! Emma is 32" and 24 pounds. Besides, I really can't budget another $90 for this.

I did look at Megan's belt positioning booster. Now Megan does not need it on this trip. Could I use it for Emma? The label says over 1 year old, at least 29" tall and at least 30 lbs. Well, Emma is about to turn 2 & is already 32". Do you think she will gain 6 lbs in 5 months? Even if she gains 5 we could fudge it by a pound; after all I don't think they are gonna weigh her!

Remember we only need a 'car seat' for the shuttle from LAX to the HISP. Do you think this booster will do?

Okay, here is the applicable law:
New California Child Passenger Restraint Requirements

Effective January 1, 2002

(Excerpts from the California Vehicle Code)

27360.

(a) No parent or legal guardian, when present in a motor vehicle, as defined in Section 27315, shall permit his or her child or ward to be transported upon a highway in the motor vehicle without providing and properly securing the child or ward, in a child passenger restraint system meeting applicable federal motor vehicle safety standards unless the child or ward is at least one of the following:
(1) Six years of age or older.

(2) Weighs 60 pounds or more.

(b) No driver shall transport on a highway any child in a motor vehicle, as defined in Section 27315, without providing and properly securing the child in a child passenger restraint system meeting applicable federal motor vehicle safety standards unless the child is at least one of the following:

(1) Six years of age or older.

(2) Weighs 60 pounds or more.

***JGE UNDERWATER EXTRAVAGANZA***

Don't be dismayed at the thought of DCL reserving all the fun excursions and then reselling them to you at higher prices. The folks at JGE have contracted with the locals in port to allow you to participate in some truly amazing 'experiences of a lifetime'.

Why swim the Dolphins anyway? You all know the routine, shake hands, kiss, pectoral fin pull, and then nose push. BORING!!!

At JGE we have the real thrills. We are offering you our eclusive swim with the Great White Excursion. You'll board the "Orca" for a relaxing trip out to the barrier reef that surrounds the beautiful island, once there Capt. Quint and his 1st mate will chum the water to sufficiently attrack the sharks. You'll then enter the water and preform a series of tasks with the Shark as your guide instructs you from the relative safety of the boat. Photos and videos will be available for a nominal charge.

Take a look at some photos that we took recently.

OK, third plan.

If you would like one of the t-shirts with the previously mentioned logo on it, please PM me at the other site or e-mail me (e-mail address on other site).

Now until March 15th the shirts will only cost $5.99 plus shipping and tax. Total should run just over $10.00.

However, the only option for the shirt will be a basic white t-shirt in various sizes with the logo printed across the front chest.

It seems this is the best we'll be able to do for now.

Can you extend it one more day? I'll put out the newsletter Monday night (but for Izzinmac Friday) and that will give people a full day and 1/2 to get to you if they want one. Does that work for you? If so, don't forget to get me the pics! :)

The deal is through the company making the shirts Tracy. They are having a 50% off sale from now until March 15th. Regular price is $11.99 but from now until the 15th they're on sale for $5.99.

I can provide you with a picture of the logo but not a picture of how it will look on the shirt. (The company doesn't provide that life CafePress or Zazzle.)

Perhaps we'll all be able to come up with a new design for the cruise too. One that won't cause any problems.

We'll go ahead with Mark's idea of one with the names. I think that was good.

It seems this is the best we'll be able to do for now.Would it be possible for us to copy/download/print (or whatever it's called) the graphic(s) so we can print them ourselves on that t-shirt transfer paper you can buy to make your own tees? Didn't Verandah Man do that in the beginning?

Besides, when I showed it to my DH on Zazzle the other day (yesterday?) he liked it, but said he wanted it in a daygo-T style shirt.

Just remember to print the mirroe image so when you transfer it, it will be readable!
