After 3 years and 2 realtors I sold my house on my own. And I sold it in two hours time. Imagine that. It is all kind of crazy and I spent the day making appointments with attorneys. But our dream of living in Florida and near the parks is finally coming true. Send us all your good luck vibes for Monday. We sign the contract that day!!! We are so excited!

Just keep in mind that while the state is viewed as a paradise, There are good :cool1: and bad aspects of living here :teacher: which is true wherever you live.

Liz- that's awesome that you were able to sell it on your own! I'm (sort of) jealous about the move to FLA. If it weren't for that darned heat I'd be right behind you.

My husband pretty much has a standing offer at a hospital an hour south of Disney. Melbourne Beach area. It has taken us a while to sell our home. Who knew firing the realtor and dropping the cost would be the key. I was very skeptical about selling on our own. I still am. I will be happy after we see the attorney on Monday and I have a contract in my hands. But I am way happy for now!!! So send me all the good luck pixie dust you have.:goodvibes

I also plan on moving to Florida eventually. My mom will be retiring soon. We only have each other now, no other family. I need to pay down some debt I have and then I will be looking for a government transfer. Maybe in 4-5 years. It may take a little while but I will be joining you.
Good luck with the sale! You must be very excited.

We bought this house without a realtor, and we are now using a realtor to sell it. so far, I'm not seeing the benefit of selling it through a realtor.
