Just had a call from our solicitor. Our house purchase completes on July 13th :cool1: We're now $426,657.25 in debt :lmao: ( at the current exchange rate;)) We can't wait to move in and start the next stage of our life together. We were supposed to get married last year, but had to postpone when I changed jobs twice in six months. Then this year we had to leave our rented house and decided to buy, so the wedding went out the window again  Hopefully we'll make it down the aisle next year :dance3:

I sure hope you meant PLUS some yummy poofs; PULSE on the other hand, is my blender's lowest setting... on a side note, isn't it inneresting "poofs" didn't get turned into a series of asterisks? I think you've found the key to confounding the DIS naughty word algorithm -- Britspeak

she experiments...

knob

fanny (particularly amusing to folks in the UK when we talk about our fanny packs)

nope -- nary an asterisk in sight. :)

That's a GREAT video.

Appropos of absolutely nothing: I am currently eating the yummiest peach cobbler (OK -- just for grins I looked THAT up in an online British slang dictionary and here it means Pie.) EVER. DH brought home a box of free peaches yesterday. (they were starting to get a little old and the produce stand was going to throw them out). Anyway, we peeled'em, sweetened'em, dumped'em in a pan, poured in a dry yellow cake mix, dotted the top with butter, baked the mess for an hour. INCREDIBLE!!!! AND we have enough for another one in the freezer. Whos sez the recession can't be fun?

There's loads of alternate words between our nations. Wasn't it Ben Franklin who said we are separated by a common language?

Anyway, congrats again to our new home owners. I wonder where abouts on this sceptred isle they reside?

:lmao: LOL Conc!

On a serious side though... my mother has this young girl working for her, both the young girl and her sister are lesbians (they are both in their late teens). I guess one of my moms customers found out about this and commented that it was weird that two sisters from one family would both be gay... First my exasperated face for being disgusted by ignorance... :headache: When my mom told me about this and commented that she didnt know what to say, I told her that she should say "Why is that weird but a family with multiple straight siblings is not?" That is my take on the whole thing, but I guess I am wondering now... Is that pretty typical?

When the first season of Orange County was on, I flipped past it and saw Slade, and stopped flipping. I watched the rest of that episode and into the next (because of course Bravo was running them back to back) and got maybe 10 minutes in before I decided that I'd rather be waterboarded than continue watching that crap.

So, yeah, I tried to watch it once. Now I flip past it all as fast as I can. (THough I have googled Slade a couple times to look at pictures. ;))

:lmao: eh, to each their own. It drags me out of this world into a world I cannot imagine (unless I win the lottery) and that is what I like TV and movies to do for me. I have only seen The Real Housewives of New Jersey... have not seen the others and so hope to not get hooked on them!

See what happens when I don't post on the thread for a couple of days ;) :rotfl:

Most people who comment on us both being gay say "oh, your poor mother" :confused3 She said she'd rather we were happy being openly gay, than miserable being in the closet and in a straight relationship :lovestruc She's a lovely lady and we both spoil her rotten. We also have 2 gay cousins, must be something in the water ;)

As for the location of the house, no we can't see the White Cliffs of Dover from Chatham and we haven't seen Dame Vera for ages :lmao:
