I haven't seen this on the boards. It was linked by Consumerist this morning, and brought tears to my eyes as I read the story.

A young girl with a rare form of cancer, unable to make it to a movie theater, got to see the movie Up because of a determined family friend and Pixar. Warning - the story is sad and will bring tears to your eyes.

First, I cry at the theatre last night, and now after reading the story.

Thanks.:goodvibes

Why, oh why, didn't I heed the tissue warning?!?!? I like hearing of when a company does something like that. Glad that the little girl was able to enjoy the movie.

I saw that this morning. :goodvibes

Y'all may have seen me talk about my bosses' daughter before - she's an almost 4 year old w/ a brain tumor (http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/charlottereynolds). Charlotte's dad contacted Pixar to see if they'd give her and advance screening of UP as well. They didn't do that, but they did send her a bunch of Disney stuff! She got about 10 gift-wrapped boxes of different plushes - some for her and some for her to share at the hospital.

Pixar rocks! :thumbsup2
