I have seen just about every other month, but not March of '10. If it is out there someone please point me in the right direction as that is when we are planning to go. I'm not on the site or savvy enough to start it.:cool1:

We're thinking about going back in March, also! I would love to do Thanksgiving week, but am not sure about the weather... we LOVED the weather last March!
Does anyone know if they usually run specials in March or was this past year just an exception b/c of the economy. I know it is peak season. I'm a teacher so we have to go during the third week of March, which is spring break so I'm afraid we won't luck up on another deal!

I am determined that we will vacation somewhere for Spring Break 2010 (early March for us). I think Disney World might be just the ticket, but I can't afford it without some special promotion. Otherwise, I'm on a Carnival or NCL ship.

I am adding myself to the list as well. I also have been waiting to see the new rates for 2010, I have heard they either come out in July or August.
I still need to book our room-only soon and then re-book if a good deal comes out. I just need to go over the dates one more time with DH before I do so.
March 6-13 is what we had discussed and planning on staying at POFQ.

We did the 4/3 deal last Feb. and are looking to do WDW/Vero Beach (renting DVC points) this March as DH does not want to do another long WDW vacation, but a good deal might change his mind... not that I am complaining about time at Vero Beach or anything. ;)
I actually booked CBR at a discount through AAA last year for a long weekend and was able to convert it to the 4/3 deal and made a week of it! :dance3:

Yes, I know that it is just wishful thinking, but if they were to repeat the 7 for 4 deal, what time in Spring would it be? I would love to be able to get to Disney the second week of March, but I'm not sure we can swing the expenses. Without any kind of "deal," we will probably be looking at Fall Break '10 (mid-October).

The 2010 prices come out in August, but the 4/3 deal came out later last year. I booked our Disney trip for Feb. in October and the deal came out in November. I booked through AAA and was able to add the the free nights and passes without switching to rack rate.

I'm also looking for a March 2010 deal. It worries me, though, that our week in March (13-19) is is included in PEAK season. They don't usually have promotions or codes for peak season, do they? Looking at the Mousesavers historical discount chart, it appears that this past March was the first time since 2006 that they offered special discounts other than Florida resident and AP holder discounts. Perhaps such an offer will happen again if the economy doesn't improve.

Our spring break has always been the first full week in April, but this year it is the middle of March and they are also having a 4 day weekend for Easter this year. I don't remember it being so expensive in April. We have gone before during Mardi Gras holiday and that was the best ever. We litterally could stay on rides after they were over and ride again. Would be great if free dining or something that saves as much would come out for our dates. If not we will be going value for the first time.:cool1:

Yes, I saw that. There were significantly more discounts available this year, than in '08. They just came out real late this year.It states:
"Stay Dates 01/01/2008-03/15/2008-package deal, (discount+free ticket upgrades) for Disney Reward Visa Cardholders- became available 10/29/2007, general public- became available 11/01/2007."
2009 discounts were more numerous:
Had room only discount, package discount, 7/4 deal, 25%off platinum package. These discounts came out very late in December. This was about the time people were starting to feel the crunch and all of the lay-offs began. The discounts were supposed to only be available for about a month, but I guess Disney did not get as good of response as they had hoped, and basically ran them again through most of the stay dates also. I say book your stay so you can make dining reservations and when the discounts come out, change if it is a better deal. Anything better than AAA discount to me is a deal for peak season. How cool if they do free dining. That seems to be their easiest promo. That would save my family over $520 on our trip.:thumbsup2

We are thinking about a trip in March - this is the longest we have gone in a long time without making a trip.
We might have some friends going - but would need a decent deal before we decide to go. Would be our first trip without our oldest son. Kinda weird!

We were not planning on goingthis year, but I found a conferance in middle of march at disney, so I'm breathlessly awaiting a deal of some sort so we can get this from insanely expensive down to doable
Anyone know what was available last year in mid march?
And does anyone know why travel companies; I've tried AAA and expedia, do not have any room available? Disney does, I called already. I thought march is probably one of the busier times of the year and they didn't allow outside selling or something of that nature, weird; any thoughts?
Thanks

We've never gone over spring break time b4 so I'm in sticker shock over the airfares. DS's break starts the last weekend in March (the week BEFORE Easter) so I have booked us AKV Kidani with our DVC points for Sat 3/27 - Fri 4/2. But just last night I found a good airfare home to BWI on Thurs. so I booked it & will just cancel off the Thurs night from our ressie. But the airfares going DOWN on that weekend are crazy high for non-stops so I was debating about going down on Fri. night bcuz the air is a lot less than on the weekend & just try to book someplace with an AP rate for Fri. rather than use points (which are high for the weekend).
OK, so my question here is are there normally AP rates that come out for this time? Just trying to decide what day to book for our airfare going down...it might work out just as well to go on Fri. night if I can find an AP rate.:confused3

Usually the AP rates for the week before and the week after Easter are generally blacked out. We really don't know what Disney might do this year. If things remain slow and there are rooms to fill, they may offer something. I generally stay away from holidays. I think mousesavers has some history fares and dates to compare it too. Good luck!

Avg High in March is 78 & Avg Low is 55 so it may or may not be waterpark weather...it would probably be a bit chilly for me to spend a whole day at one of those... I would be happy for it to be warm enough to spend some time at the resort pool!!

I'm hoping for a March '10 code/promo too! I'm taking my mom and sister on a surprise trip over their spring breaks (mom's a teacher and sister is in high school). My husband and I went last year on the 7/4 deal and I'm really hoping for something similar this year. We've been in May before and loved it! Really warm weather but not quite the humidity you find in the summer months. Crowds were pretty reasonable. If DW wasn't a teacher we'd probably go during May again.
We went this past may and it was very nice. It was VERY HOT but not the humid hot like in the summer. We were there 8 days and it only rained a 1 afternoon.
I'm in hopes of a code (military, disney visa, anything) for the weekend of the princess 1/2. We've thought about taking advantage of the 4/3 deal, but DH can't miss that much work :( Here's to hopeing!!!

I am waiting for AP rates for March. I hope they have something for March 21st-27th.. 4/3 doesn't work for us since we have AP's and you have to buy min of 5 day tickets now.. bummer.. We want the Polynesian too...Come on AP rates.

There's a new AP pin code email out this evening and it does cover you dates. Hopefully you got it. (if you registered your AP with the AP website and updated your profile). It covers dates 2/14/10-3/27/10. (30%/35%/40%). Not bad. The dates go all the way to 6/12 with blackout before and after Easter, blackout for MLK and Prez weekend.

I received a pin code for the 30/35/40% of Resort offer. Seems like a pretty good deal. Has anyone else here ever gotten a Resort discount offer before? How does it compare to the other discounts? We just don't think we can swing the 4/3 deal.

I got it! However I also got a great price from another company for April 2nd-7th that was better AND during Easter break.. I don't know if I want to fight the crowds to avoid taking my kids out of school? :confused3

I was just wondering if anyone has heard of any room only codes (don't have an AP or a disney visa so those won't work for us). Or do people without those two things even get room only codes. Sorry if this is a silly question! We are going March 26-April 3rd.. and the 4/3 just doesn't work for us, because we only really need 4 day base tickets. We will be doing Seaworld and Uni/IOA a couple days of our trip and also a relax day. Thanks to anyone who can help! We have never stayed onsite and it would be so great if my family could. The only problem we run into is that there are def. 7 of us going and possibly 3 more. Are there resorts that have space big enough for us?! Thanks for any suggestions!:thumbsup2

You should still consider the 4/3 deal. That deal is really all about the room discount, since the difference between a 7 day ticket and a 4 day ticket is only about $10, so that is not where the savings are.
So assuming you are willing to stay at a Disney resort for 7 days, it is still a cheaper option, even if you don't use the parks on a few of the days.
I'll leave it to someone else to answer the question about which resort suits a larger group.

Hi everyone, i am hoping to help my sister secure a deal for March, she is currently booked at POR with no discount -- (I am also booked at POR but got the Princess 1/2 marathon discount) We are going from March 4-15..
We are doing the 1/2 marathon on the 6 and then my sis gets married at the GF on the 12th..
Sis has an AP voucher, but it's not active yet, so that won't help her. Hoping for a Disney Visa discount (she does have one of those).. She can't get the race discount b/c she is offically checking into her room after the race weekend.. (staying in my room til then).
Maybe i should have her check into the 4/3 deal with the passes - and save her AP vouchers?? I think right now she is paying about $2,000 for the room for the week, no discounts.

I am also looking for a room only discount for March 27 or 28-April 2 or 3. I do not need tickets at all, so not sure if the 4/3 deal would even benefit me. SOOO hoping that the new Disney Visa discount code will be extended to these dates, or that I get the ever elusive PIN!!:goodvibes

Got my pin code in the Email this morning and immediately call AAA to book. Hasn't been confirmed yet but we're staying at Pop 03/13/2010-03/18/2010. Can't wait. Was kinda worried we weren't going to be able to go. Also a little tip. I joined Wyndham Rewards a few months back, and what a deal. I have stayed about 10 days at places and already have 2 nights free saved up. Not only that you get great rates with as a AAA member. I booked the drive night prior to getting to WDW. Rate at the hotel was $159 through Travelocity for one night. The same hotel at Wyndham Rewards was $62. Same hotel, same night. Not only do I get a deal, but I get points toward a free night. What a good day.:cool1:

I'm going for the Princess half marathon in March and I spent yesterday on the phone with Disney pricing out the best options as far as how long to go and which deal to go with (all at moderate resorts, namely POR).
For 7 nights, out of the 4/3 deal, the princess race discount, and the 35% off moderate resort pin I had, the 4/3 deal is the cheapest/best deal.
We're saving for our wedding, so even though the 4/3 deal was excellent ($1378 for 7 nights at POR w/2 7-day tickets!), we decided that we shouldn't be spending that much right now, so I also priced it out for 4 or 5 nights.
4 nights at a moderate w/2 4-day tickets using the race discount was more expensive than 5 nights at a moderate w/2 4-day tickets using my pin code.
So I think we're going to do 5 nights at a moderate with the 35% off the room and then book our tickets using the race discount.
Hopes this helps anyone else who might have been wondering which the best deal was...

There are lots of different resorts that can room a family of seven and even a family of 10. My entire family stayed at saratoga springs in a 2 bedroom suite. It was more than enough room. Just look on line. I think janetmom was right on about the 4/3 deal!:thumbsup2

We wanted our full anniversary weekend including the day after at a resort, but for the moment we have booked our actual anniversary on a bounce back special. It's the last day the special rate was good for during that time. The rates are at peak then, so for the moment we are taking what we got and we will watch to see what else may pop up. We are Florida Residents so it still is workable for us.
