Room requests made in person of fax?

We will be staying at the Poly for the last 4 nights of our trip :D and I'm wondering about how best to make our room request as we will be in WDW 11 days before our stay there.

When is the best time to make the room request? ie how many days before? Would it be better to call in to the Poly in person during our stay, or would a fax be better (I guess we could fax from the Dolphin or Courtyard?).

Any help would be great :D

Lucky, lucky you! Wish I was going now. Anyway, I would call the Poly about 3 days before you are due to check in. Then you can restate any prefs that you have. I would do it in person, on the phone. That's what I did and I very happily got all my requests. Have a terrific time.:) :) :)

It had never occured to me to go to the resort prior to my stay to make my request! I dont care where I'm at in the first 2 resorts but I really hope my request are met at AKL for my last 3 nights.(I'm going 10 nights total) I know I didnt start the thread but thanks for the answer!!

What's wrong with just having your requests noted on the reservation? It worked for me.

When I called to confirm my ressie I made for our July trip the other day, the CM had what I requested in his computer. I requested Conch Key, highest floor possible with a balcony. It is also noted on the computer that my DS will be turning 9 on July 6th.

Hopefully, I'll get what I requested.:)
