View Full Version : LRO Launch with Bob's name onboard.
If the weather permits then tomorrow at 5.12 pm the LRO will Launch from Cape Canaveral.
When Bob passed away i felt like doing something special for him and i put his name on a list for sending his name to the moon.
All the names on that list are put on a chip and that chip is in/on the rocket (the LRO) that goes to the moon.

I just wanted to let you all know or remember this because tomorrow the launch will be there and maybe you can see it irl or on tv or you hear about it and now it's not just a rocket launch anymore.....
There is a piece of the DIS on that rocket.....
I will go watch the launch on the computer here and i will think of Bob a bit extra tomorrow.
Maybe just maybe i go stand in the far east of the parking lot..........

This is so cool!! We have NASA TV on our cable so I am watching it live. My son just came it to see what I was watching and is now making fun of me because I am getting teary thinking about Bob going "up" on this rocket. I tried to explain about BAWB an all of my "Imaginary Podcast Friends". He just shook his head an left the room. Kids...What cha gonna do? I read a lot of posts just don't have a lot to contribute. Therefore, the low post count. But this I thought ya'll could enjoy.
