 :earsgirl:  :earsgirl: Hubby and I are sailing on the Wonder December 5th. Wondering if anyone has stayed in this room? We noticed it was right next to the Bridge. Does anyone have any thoughts about the noise level?
Both times we have cruised we have chosen a cabin in the aft of the ship. Is it better to stay forward or aft? Any opinions would be helpful.
Thanks!!!:) :) :)

Whether forward or aft is better is a matter of personal opinion. I am definitely an aft person...the father back, the better! My favorite stateroom is 5650, in the butt end of the ship. I like it because there is no hallway traffic back there. You can sometimes hear some engine noise, but I find that very soothing.
If you are really far front, you shouldn't get much hallway traffic either, and I can't imagine that you'd get much noise from the bridge. There would be overhead noise potential if you were under something like the Goofy or Mickey pools, but foward should be safe. The only forward rooms I've ever been in are the secret porthole rooms, but those get a lot of hallway traffic because they are right at the beginning of the hall.

On our last cruise we stayed in Cabin 8008 on the Magic and my family and I absolutely loved it. It was very quiet above us and very quiet in the hallway because that hallway is used only to get to the rooms located in that area. There is very little traffic in that hallway. The crew uses a different entrance to the Bridge. We stayed in the middle of the ship on our first cruise on Deck 8 and there was a lot more noise (I think it was Cabin 8558). There was noise coming from above on Deck 9 and in the hallway. Not that it was a bad cabin, just a little too much noise for my taste. We are going on the Western Cruise in March 2003 and we booked Cabin 8008 again.
