Discount when on property

When we were down in April, we took the DVC tour. At that time we could have bought
for $70 a point. The going rate was $75 and is now $80. Do they consistently give you
this $5 discount if your on the tour?

There is currently a different "discount" program available than when you toured. The present "Magiacl Beginnings" discount offers $5 per point, but you will sel back your first year's points to Disney and still pay prorated maintenance fees on those points.

Disney has offered a variety of discount programs over the years- ranging from free park admission passes to as much as $15 per point discount with the above-mentioned Magical Beginnings.

These discounts are always subject to change. Make sure to do the math before jumping at any apparent discount.

For some reason, this finally clicked with me today. If you get $5 back per point and still have to pay $2 per point maintenance and give up use of your points.....not really that a good a deal is it?
