Does anyone have any experiences to report on Marriott Orlando World Center? We're staying there in July. The pool looks nice (a must for Orlando in July). Does anyone know if it's near Downtown Disney?

Thanks!

The MOWC is a HUGE hotel that can be seen from just about anywhere in Orlando. It's a true class act, also.

I stayed there in May of 1999, celebrating my friends' adoption of a little girl. It was wonderful. It has about 6 or 7 pools, all of which the kids enjoyed, and a great slide in the main pool. My frined and her daughter took a day off fromt he parks just to hang out by the pools. They also have a great spa and an indoor pool, which was a pleasure one rainy night.

It's located on World Drive is is off of 535 which leads straight to Disney. It's no more than a 1/2 mile from DTD.

You will enjoy this hotel! The service was so great that I had to email them and let them now how well we were treated. They concentrate on service and it shows.

WOW! Sounds great! Thank you, vicki and robin, for the good reports.
My kids will be so thrilled to hear there's a slide at the pool.....and that indoor pool will be very handy during those midafternoon summer rains that Florida is famous for.

I loved the MOWC. It was my favorite off-site resort. Make sure you request a high floor in the North Tower. You'll be able to watch the WDW fireworks from your balcony.

Stayed there in Feb so didn't use the pools, but had a wonderful time. If you have a car expect to pay $12 per day valet parking or else self park in the designated area and expect about a 5min walk to the hotel. I think they run a shuttle in busy times, but it was non operational on our trip. If you don't have a car there is no shuttle to the parks, but taxis are readily available outside and are not expensive. Have a good stay.

This is a great hotel. We loved the pool area and when we were there they had live music. My ds and nephew loved the slide.

About 5 years ago we attended a 3 day conference at MOWC. Once we parked we never got near the car again until our conference was over. We had a great time. I attended the conference while dh & our sons swam, played water volleyball, enjoyed the jacuzzis, but most of all they used the water slide. Its bigger than the one at AKL. I even took a break & took a few slides myself. Our sons still ask about going back there.

As one who appreciates fine hotels, I can say that you will not be disapointed in this property at all. Great Viws, you can see all the fireworks.

We stayed at MOWC in January and loved it. We had a room on the top floor over looking WDW. We could see all the fireworks.

We stayed courtesy of Priceline and LOVED this hotel. The only thing I liked better at the Beach and Yacht Club is the proximity.

We didn't find self parking too bad. We always cut into the convention center to walk in the air conditioning.

The pool was great. Service was great. Room was just renovated and wonderful. We didn't get a high up room, in fact -- ours was on the first floor and overlooked a sitting area at the pool. We used concierge service and found them to be super helpful -- never felt like we were treated less because we paid through Priceline (and only $60 a night).

Have a great time!
