Hello there friends, family and lurkers alike!!

Are you suprised to see me here????

I am!!

Why is that, do you ask??? Well, because, I have NOT had the best of luck with PTRs this year:sad1: I had a solo trip planned in February.... but as luck would have it, a tree fell on my car. The flat car would not have deterred me from my happy place.... BUT then... my DH lost the brakes in his truck and HIT THE SAME STUPID TREE!!!!!

What kind of luck is that???

Mine:lmao:

Well... two cars out for the count... and guess what.... I STILL did not cancel my solo trip until............

New Years Eve morning, i was driving home from work (it was icy) and happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, when a young gal decided to make little donuts with her car coming down a hill and CRASH!!!

Grandma's car (which i'd been driving since mine was still in the shop) was toast.:sad2: So strike three.... my solo was OUT!! **boo hoo hoo!!**

But it was OK I still had July.....:cloud9: my 1st trip 'home' me, my DH, and my DS were taking this adventure sans the girls.... it was to be a great time including a visit to Vero beach, and KSC! but... as these things go... it too had to be cancelled:sad1: Not because of a catastrophe this time.... but because of a good thing!! I got a new, much better job! but unfortunately...no vacay time til fall... Sooooo DS got a new computer instead and there was much rejoicing:dance3: (from him at least) But...no trip to my happy place.

OK so after all that, I'm now convinced that PTRs are :maleficen BAD LUCK :maleficen

But here I am... tempting fate... writing another one

What will befall us??? who knows?? but I'm sure it'll be entertaining at least!! I hope you come along for the ride, no matter how rocky it may be!

I was going to ask which trip we were planning for! So nice to have a few from which to choose! :thumbsup2

Well I think I'll start off with some particulars... AND why I decided to tempt fate and get this shin-dig rolling.

Let's begin...at the beginning, shall we?? I've always found it a swell place to start:thumbsup2

hmmm how about the WHO???

Who #1 ME!! Paula/Mom/Aunt P ....I'll be known by several monikers on this vacation! It's my ...I dunno...7-8th?? trip to the World. I love Mickey and Disney in general. Nowhere makes me as happy as my favorite little part of the world...th World! I'm a planner... with a capital P! I am fortunate to take only minions along on these trips that are content to let me lead them all around:rotfl: (that would be why my DH stays home...he refuses to let me boss him around...at WDW or anywhere else:lmao:)

http://pixiepics.smugmug.com/photos/398424639_7Ezny-M.jpg

Who #2 My Mom!!! Mom/Nanna..... my mom went with us last year and we had a great time. She makes me a little nuts... but hey, that's a mom's perogative!! She's always game to try anything.... but not necessarily more than once. :lmao: After last year, she swore off ever going near ToT again. I've never seen her move so fast as she did getting off there to get to fresh air...before she passed out;)

http://pixiepics.smugmug.com/photos/435433594_Gzk7Z-XL.jpg

Who #3 my DD (10) Ellie/Noelle... good kid, bit of a drama queen...but who isn't at that age:confused3 She LOVES WDW and all things Disney. big fan of thrill rides of any kind but at the same time, won't pass up a charater greeting!! She will turn 11 in September before our trip

http://pixiepics.smugmug.com/photos/450498207_V7aZJ-M-1.jpg

Who #4 my other DD(8) Allison... mama's girl. very easy going and willing to try everything. IASW ranks as high as EE in her book! She'd be very content to go to WDW every other month if possible... and if it didn't interfere with her gymnastics

http://pixiepics.smugmug.com/photos/555495628_6FQiY-L-1.jpg

Who #5 My nephew Warren(14).... he is not too sure about this trip... he alternates between thinking he's too old for this 'kiddie stuff' to being giddy and asking if he can have an autograph book:laughing: I'm not sure how it'll go with him, but he and Ellie get along famously... so they should have fun:thumbsup2 Warren will be 15 in August before our trip. It is his first trip to WDW.

http://pixiepics.smugmug.com/photos/450515326_JCKrp-L.jpg

and last...but certainally NOT least.....

Who #6 my other nephew Wyatt (9).... Warren's younger brother. He'll turn 10 in September before our trip. He was brokenhearted when he thought he wouldn't make this trip (it started as a trip with my bro and DSil and the boys, but my Brother and Sil backed out) so mom and i decided one way or another we were getting the boy there!!! He is a live wire... not unheard of for him to climb in the pig pen and 'play' with the pigs:laughing: So I'm sure he will really make this trip interesting! He's a bit nervous about heights, but aside from that, is excited to try all that WDW has to offer:thumbsup2

http://pixiepics.smugmug.com/photos/450495408_3GtNh-L-1.jpg

Okey Dokey....so that's the who

When: November 7-15, 2009 so no this will not be a drawn out 18 month PTR!:woohoo:

Where: we will get to that later....

Why: mom and i wanted a repeat of our girls trip from last year since we had so much fun! then we decided to invite along my Bro and the boys since none of them have never been there.

Why risk a PTR when there is sooooo much at stake??? because I NEED PLANNING MOTIVATION!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I am taking a DIS-girlfriends trip in September and it's putting my planning for this BIG family trip on the backburner:scared1: I need to fix that! especially since it needs to be near-perfect, since it could be the only trip my nephews get:scared:

OK enough info overload for one day!! I'll update about resort planning in another chapter...on another day!!

They backed out on us about 2 months ago.... we've been 'arguing' with them since to let us take the boys. They didn't want to spend the $$ and don't want us to either:sad2: We finally told them too bad:laughing: We were taking them if they wanted to go and that's that!!

Warren finally got 'off the pot' and committed to coming about 2 weeks ago...thank goodness, cause the airfare will be coming up available any day now!!

My mom rivals TK in the love of Captain Jack:lmao: it would be interesting to put them head to head on that;) She had jack autograph her hat at the pirate and princess party. Her most memorable moment... just before midnite at the P&PP she was by herself on a bench in frontierland (me and the girls were on BTMRR) Captain Jack was on his way backstage...saw her and sat with her for about 15 mins and shared a smoke!!!:rotfl2:

So glad to see you tempted fate with a PTR cause I don't think I could have waited until November for your TR.

I REALLY hope you are staying at AKL. The 2BR at Kidani was simply amazing. The 3 flat screen TV's, 3 full bathrooms, 2 ihomes, lovely tiles, lovely furniture, upscale bedding, and interesting art work. Plus....tons of closet space. You will love it!

I plan to start my TR next week, I have to leave tomorrow for a wedding in Buffalo, so I don't want to start until I get back. Once I start, I like to keep going and not take breaks.

Looking forward to reading more!

Ask away. I hope I can answer. I loved it there and really want to go back again....soon! I would like to visit again in late April/early May (right around Gnomefest) and I would be thrilled to get something at Kidani or the Jambo house. It is very different from SSR and there are some things I like more about Kidani and some things I prefer about SSR.

Don't worry about doing a pre-trippie. You know the saying, "three's a charm"....well...you third trip will go off without a hitch. Plus you've got not one, but three trips to look forward to.

Anyway...I promise to start my TR right after I get back from Buffalo and a quick side trip to Niagara falls. Unfortunately we never got around to renewing our passports before we left for Florida and now we can't go over to the Canadian side of the falls. Bummer!

Hi there everyone!!

in breaking developments.... i booked our flights yesterday:woohoo:

Southwest finally released fares (up thru january 8!). I've been checking their website 2 times a day for the last 3 weeks...waiting....

I like to fly out of Pittsburgh...because it's the closest. I also fly outta Cleveland and Baltimore. they are both about 3.5 hrs away.... but even when we fly pgh (only 1.5hrs) we usually stay over and take an early flight. All 3 airports are far closer than Driving to Florida!!

So I checked out Pgh.... $249 rt on our dates:scared: I was hoping for about $200....

So i tried Cleveland..... $270 rt.... well that was not any better!

So I tried Baltimore.... $199 rt.... :yay: that's where the budget fell!!
I noticed while I was looking... that if we flew down at noon (instead of 7-8am like I usually do) it would save us $25/tix..... x6 tixs.... $150!!
I also noticed.... that the flight home (all times) was much higher than our flight down....

soooooo I plugged in a Saturday 11/14 return date instead of Sunday.... and GUESS WHAT!!!!

We are flying for $49 each way...$98 round trip:banana::banana::banana: so with fees and junk... fare for 6 people...$715!!

Yes it cuts a day off our trip... but it saves us $500, which pretty much pays for one of the kids;) So mom and I decided it was worth it:thumbsup2

So the NEW plan is:
Fly from BWI on Saturday November 7 at 2pm.... arrive at MCO at 4:15pm
(while I was talking to my mom..the $49 fares for the 12 noon flight sold out:headache:)

Coming home Saturday November 14th at 4:15...arriving at BWI at 6:30

we are going to stay over in Baltimore Sat night and drive home Sunday. This is gonna work out well, because now we will have a 'decompression' day before i go back to work Monday and the kids go back to school!!

All in all we are losing about a day at WDW... but we will still have 6 FULL days and 2 partials... I think that it will be enough:thumbsup2

OK next up... Resort.... not that if you've looked at my ticker...you don't already know LOL!!!

Great prices for airfare. Almost booked BWI to Orlando for September, but I didn't want to leave at 4pm after driving to Baltimore (1 1/2 hours for me). Probably should have because the $49 flights are now $77. Guess I will wait for the fares to drop out of Philly.....only 45 minutes for me.

Yeah....I have ADR's for free dining, but no flights. I still feel a little unsure as to whether I should take this trip......Maybe that's why I am procratinating with flights. :confused3

Anyway ,,,,,very excited for you.....when you have 6 people you need the cheapest flights available. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Well here is the rather anticlimactic RESORT UPDATE:rotfl2:

Yeah....

ANIMAL KINGDOM KIDANI VILLAGE!!!

We bought into DVC in December... after a couple years of debating.;) My WDW habit is just too big, so DH finally broke down and gave the go-ahead:banana:

Since it is Warren and Wyatt's 1st trip... I'm pulling out all the stops! We have a dedicated 2 bedroom SAVANNA view villa:yay::yay:

I bought AKV with the thought in mind to relax on the balcony with my cup of coffee before everyone was up and watch the giraffes:cloud9:

We will have lots of room to spread out. Nanna and Ellie get the 2nd bedroom, Allison and I get the Master... and the boys each get their own pullout in the living room. Granted this may change... as Ellie doen't want to share a room with Nanna... but we will see.

BTW, I forgot to say HI NEIGHBOR!!!! DH and I took the DVC plunge after we toured during our trip minus the kiddos in March! We are now the proud owners of 200 points at AKV!!! Our January trip is booked at Kidani! 2 BR SV!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!

It's very amusing and I love his posts but everyday he will post the names of the lockers and such. I have seen some really good ones....like "Purple People Eater", "Retirement", "Tweedledee" and "Tweedledum", "Escape Kit". So my point is...what are you going to name your locker? It has to be a good one so I can see it on Twitter! :lmao:

EDIT: I forgot to include "MOUSE DROPPINGS" Hehehehe.

Yes I am getting an Owners Locker! I'm going to put stuff in it in September... so it's all set for November (part of the reason Jen and I are making a Wally-world run... for laundry soap and misc sundries!!)

I hadn't thought about a name yet.... Anyone have any sugggestions?????

I promise an update sometime between now and Sunday.... really... I promise:rolleyes:

Well I noticed today, that I have 31 days til I get to make my ADRs:woohoo: Which is really exciting, since unlike last year.... 31 days til ADR day means my trip is in just 4 months... NOT 7:rotfl2:

So I thought I'd give you all an idea of what I'm thinking of with ADRs and general plans. It's too early for 'actual' itinerary plans, since I have no idea what the hours will be. I am working under several assumptions at this point, just to get myself a starting point.... make sense??

Saturday... Arrival Day!! We are taking a 2pm flight, so i don't expect to get to Kidani til about 6pm. This is not a bad thing, since our room should be ready when we get there! I know I'm not making any ADRs for tonite. The parks are expected to be REALLY busy (UG has today listed as a '9'):scared1: So we have 2 options.

Option #1 hang out at the resort, eat at Mara, see the animals with the night vision goggles, get a good nite sleep:thumbsup2

Option #2 go to MK for Spectro and Wishes. Yep it will be packed, but because of that, it will probably be open late. We could grab a bite to eat, see Wishes and the late parade, then head back. I love trying to get to MK on arrival day... it makes you feel like 'YAY! I'M HERE!!'

I like the idea of a relaxed evening.... but i have a hard time considering NOT seeing MK on arrival day. I probably won't decide at all which option, til we get there and see how every one feels:thumbsup2

PARK DAYS I'm planning (loosely) 1 full day per park.
The general ADR plan for these days....

MK Day Whispering Canyon Cafe... We have never tried this one, but i think the kids will love the antics of the restaurant and the bottomless skillets will be perfect for my 'bottomless' nephews:thumbsup2

AK Day O'hana... Allison wants to try this one, so we are going to try to work it into the plans. My thought is, unless, by some miracle, there is PM EMH on our AK day... it closes early, so we can just hop a bus from AK to the Poly for Dinner around closing time.

DHS Day 50's Prime Time Cafe... i want to try this one. i think it will be a hoot! The menu looks very appealing and i know the kids will find lots of things they like on this one!

Epcot Day Le Cellier (if we can get it) or Biergarten (if we can't)... Nanna loved le Cellier and that is her only request for dining... so i'm going to try... we will see how it works out. If we can't get it, Biergarten is my backup plan (for now). Ellie is entranced with Germany and has wanted to go there for a long time. It's a buffet with lots of meat... so that will make the boys happy:lmao:

MVMCP Day yep we are doing the party!! it's the only WDW party I haven't experienced, so i can't just skip it! There are parties scheduled on 3 days while we are there. I'm leaning toward Thursday.... but the party date will be determined by when I can get Allison an appointment at BBB!!! She really wants to go to the boutique and get all gussied up for the party. Ellie decided she is much too mature for that, so it will just be Allison. I'm going to let her get the full deluxe package including the dress and everything... by next year, she may decide she's too mature for that stuff too... i want to do the whole kit and kaboodle now, just in case i don't get to do it with her later.:wizard: I'm hoping for an afternoon appointment maybe 3-4pm

ADR for today... Chef Mickey's! We can't go to WDW without going to CM. period. just can't do it! I'm leaning toward breakfast, but could do a 5pm Dinner if necessary and BBB is at 3pm.

The rest of the morning/afternoon will be a pool day for the kids ... I'll take Allison for her appointment, then everyone will meet up with us at MK

EXTRA DAY After all that, we have 1 more full touring day. I'm guessing, because of the kids, it will be split with DHS and Epcot. There is too much to do at Epcot to do it in 1 day... i know the girls want to play the Kim Possible game and they do enjoy Innovations as well. I'm tentitively planning Dinner at Garden Grill or at Mama Melrose. I think both menus look like something the kiddos will enjoy... plus again.... Garden Grill is bottomless, perfect for the bottomless boys:thumbsup2 i like the idea of splitting the day between these 2 parks, because with just a little boat ride in between, we can flip flop it either direction morning/night depending on if we got to see Fantasmic/Illuminations earlier in the week. With Fantasmic only having limited showings these days, I'm definately making sure to get it in there, even if other things need tweaked to do it!

Departure Day!! We have a late flight, so we definaltely have park time this morning. So I'm thinking AK... since it is so close. hopefully breakfast at Tusker House (or Boma as a backup... they have a terrific breakfast buffet!) Putz around at AK til 1pm or so... then back to Kidani to catch ME to the airport!

What do you all think??? Starting to come together pretty good huh??

They sound great and FUN! WCC is a very fun place, esp if you get a server who is really "into" it, same with Prime Time. And good call on the buffets with your hungry boys. They will love Ohana with skewer after skewer of meat!

Just read through your plans and your potential ADR's. Everything sounds great. You are going to have such a wonderful time. Wowsa.... A September trip and then a November trip. SSR and then Kidani. You are living large now. I still can't get over your cheap flights. As it turns out I did decide to leave from BWI in September. The flights went back to $59 each way, but the flight with the noon departure opened. That's perfect for me. Get up, drive, leave BWI at noon and be there by 2:30pm to enjoy my first evening. I can handle that!

Hi MEK!! Thanks... I'm pretty excited about the ADR plans too... i hope at least most work out. I'm getting jenjolt to do my ADRs since I have to work that am:mad: But it's probably better that way... she worked some serious magic getting all of our September ones during FREE DINING!!

yay for the flights!! I was a bit bummed about flying on the 2pm flight but the noon one sold out on me while my mom and i were debating it:rotfl2: Oh well.... I hope that you like flying out of BWI... i've only done it once (on Airtran). I hated Airtran, but the airport was very nice!

Well I don't have much to say today, BUT I figured that I should post something, so the mods don't close me:rotfl2:

I got our Park and Fly hotel booked! yay! Another thing off the to do list:woohoo:

We are actually going to drive down to baltimore the day of our flight, go to the hotel, park the car, and take a shuttle to the airport. On the way home... we will take the shuttle to the hotel, then stay over before driving home on Sunday.

I've never tried the stayover at the end of the trip, but since our flight is kinda late, I think we will be tired to drive home.

On other related news... my mom (aka Nanna) has a friend who kindly offered us the use of her mini van to take to the airport. Apparently she has 2-3 cars, so there is no porblem that we will be using it for the week. I'm sorta excited about this, because now we can all ride down together instead of taking 2 cars. It'll feel more like a vacation:lmao:

Okey Dokey... lets see, anything else??

OH Owner's Locker stuff!! now I'm going to put all this stuff in the locker in September, but since it is related to enjoying WDW regardless...I'm going to put it in this PTR, is that OK with all ya??

So far here is what I have....

3 disney princess beach towels
1 pirates of the carribean beach towel
bandaids
bandaid blister blocker bandages
hair gummies for the girls
curling iron (i hate to mess with taking them)
shampoo (full sized)
conditioner (full sized)
kids shampoo (ful sized)
nightlights (4)
1 bath and body works hand soap

I think that's all I have for now...

some things I know I want to get yet for it....

Dryer sheets
laundry soap (will get on our WDW wallyworld run in Sept)
drink lanyards
small can coffee... it'll be good for Sept and Nov, then I can toss the rest. Still cheaper than buying the nescafe swill blech!
sweet and low packets
a couple smaller sized toothpaste tubes
gold bond powder/other powder

I know that my lists will expand/contract a bit yet. I am excited about the locker... i think it will make my travels much simpler!

OK that was longer than i expected! hope you didn't fall asleep!:rotfl2:

Hey Paula! I'm 99% positive that we're going to get an owners lockers too! I know it sounds silly but getting one makes me kinda excited. Not as excited as the DVC purchase, but excited.

I've been thinking of things to put in it too. I haven't written anything down yet but I probably should that way I know what I need/want and can pick it up when it's on sale at target or wally world or someplace!

2 things I know I'll be getting for the locker are an air mattress with a pump and a small brita water filter. Then the laundry needs and tolietries etc.

I actually just posted a thread in the DVC Planning forum asking about OL yesterday and got such a great response!

One of the posters mentioned binoculars for viewing the animals up close at AKV. I think thats a great idea!! I maybe looking for binoculars soon!

I love the idea of getting the full sized shampoos... I also remembered to add body wash and hairspray to my list today:rolleyes: and the laundry stuff. It will be great to have access to all that without hauling so much on the plane every time. I'm thinking of putting in a small game/card/uno or something like that too. We go on the off seasons and sometimes, the parks close early and your stuck just watching tv... might make for a nice 'evening in' option... what do you think??

Might I suggest those nifty laundry sheets instead of liquid detergent to put in your locker? I think Purex sells them but they are this sheet that has the detergent in them so you put them in the wash and then when you switch them over it acts as a dryer sheet/fabric softener. We LOVE them.

And most importantly....have you come up with a wonderful name for it?

Hi everyone!! I planned on doing something exciting here yesterday to celebrate our Double Digit Dancing!!

Well...I didn't:rotfl2:

What I DID do was order our Park Tickets!!!

I had planned to order them by July 31st anyway due to the usual price increase the 1st weekend in August. GOOD THING I KNEW THAT!!!

I ordered 5 adult and 1 child 8 day park hopper tickets.... thru undercover tourist with the Mousesavers discount..... for a grand total of $1656!!

Ouch!!

But the good news... the UT prices were $17 off the WDW gate prices so it was a savings of $99!!

Today Disney announced the price increase.... 6%!! So I actually saved $173!! Yay for ordering tickets last night!!

They are supposed to arrive 8/15.... but I've read a post earlier that UT called the poster and told her they are totally SWAMPED and expect delivery to take up to an additional 15 days! August 30th is fine by me too. I just need them before September 25. I ordered a discounted ticket for me so that when I go in September I can go right into the park on arrival, then upgrade to a DVC AP as soon as I get a chance.

I plan to upgrade Ellie and Allison's tickets in November... so that we are all set for next year :woohoo:

Ok....
Room...check!
Airfare....check!
park tix...check!

wow! almost all set! ADR day is 8 days away... I really hope the November park hours come out soon!!

Hi everyone!!!

Do you know what day today is????

its ADR EVE!!!

party: party:

Well after much debating.... the plan is in place... it took 4ever for the November park hours to come out... but finally they are so an initial itinerary
has been drafted... lets take a look shall we????

Sat...arrival day! Expect to get to Kidani about 6pm. No ADRs today.

Sun...AK day! park hours are 9-5 and we plan to spend the whole day. Dinner ADR for hopefully 6pm at Chef Mickeys. evening EMH at MK...or may do DTD..or may go see the kidani critters via the night vision goggles!

Monday... MK day! park hours are 9-8. Crystal Palace before park opening and Ohanas for dinner

Tuesday... am EMH at Epcot stay til about 11ish. Pool/resort time at Kidani.
Bibbiti Bobbiti Boutique with Allison in the afternoon (4ish I hope)... the MVMCP!!

Weds... sleep in a bit. Epcot all day, park hours are 9-9. hoping for Le Cellier...backup plan is Garden Grill

Thursday... DHS. trying for a Fantasmic Dinner Package... we will see how that works out. Fantasmic is at 630... so dinner will be early regardless of where it is

Friday... morning at DHS...or maybe MK/AK if the kids prefer. Afternoon swim/resort time. Evening at Epcot (with EMH) backup day for le cellier

Saturday...departure day... AK in the morning with am EMH. hopefully a late bfst at Tusker House... the off to Kidani for Magical Express at 1 for our 5pm flight

whew!!

It really does feel like Christmas eve:santa:...I know what I'm hoping for, but does Santa :santa: Mickey have other ideas???

The really interesting part about all this is.... I'm not the one making the ADRs inthe morning:scared1: I have to be at work at 7am:surfweb: So I have enlisted the help of my very wonderful BFF Jenjolt to call for me:hug:

:worship::worship:Ain't she wonderful?????:worship::worship:

Not everyone would be willing to get up at 5am to make dining ressies for SOMEONE ELSES vacation...3months away!!!

I gave Jen my 'dreamlist' but also told her that if something is unavailable... to SUPRISE ME:rotfl2: Yep... shocked her speechless on that LOL!! :hyper2:But I know that she will do wonderfully... and she knows me so well, that anything she picks will most likely be better than my original ideas anyway!pixiedust:

In other news.... My park tickets arrived!!!:woohoo: We got 2 mickeys.. but otherwise they are all different characters! How fun

I've also done a little shopping (purchasing ahem yet another Vera ahem)... and my Owner's Locker suitcase is starting to fill up!! I'll do an update with pictures on that soon!

Can't wait til tomarrow!! I'll be here to let you all know how it goes!

Sorry to keep you all hanging all day today:rotfl2:

As I'm sure you remember I worked today til 330pm. Then I HAD to go to JC Pennys for the friends and family sale to pick up some school clothes for the kiddos (school starting August 31st is ALMOST as exciting as me going to WDW next month :rotfl:) THEN onthe way home... I got a call from DH that I needed to stop at (where else) Wal-mart to get kitty food and stuff for Allison for lunches this week. SOOOOOO I left home at 6am.... and got home at 930pm!!

Well this morning, Jen made all my ADRs.... and then there was a flurry of text messages at 8(my time)...becausse I just couldn't wait to find out what happened:lmao:

Well the exciting news is..... she got us EVERYTHING we wanted at the TIMES we wanted!!!:dance3::yay::banana::woohoo:

:worship::worship:You are the bestest friend ever Jen!!!:worship::worship:

OK...so assuming I don't have some type of epiphany and go about changing anything.... here is where the ADRs stand (times are approximate,I don't have themin front of me right now)!

Sat... none
Sun... Chef Mickeys Dinner 6:30
Monday... Crystal Palace 8:10 breakfast:woohoo: (rope drop at 9am!)
O'hana's Dinner 5:40
Tues... Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for Allison at 4pm (MVMCP that night)
Weds... Le Cellier!!! for lunch at 12:10
Thursday... Fantasmic Dinner Package!! At Hollywood and Vine at 4:05pm
Friday..... Garden Grill dinner at 6pm
Saturday... Tusker House (late) breakfast 10:25

I talked to Nanna and the girls...everyone is really excited!! They were a little suprised about H&V, since we have done that on our last 2 trips.... but after explaing to them that with the package we won't have to sit and wait for Fantasmic for an hour and a half.... there was MUCH rejoycing!!:dance3:

Alrighty...
Room check!
Flights check!
Tickets check!
itinerary check!
ADRs check!

we are moving right along! I have done some SERIOUS shopping... already... so that will probably be my next update. Til then...thanks for joining us!!

Hi there my few failthful readers!!

I was able to check another item off my to do list today!! I ordered our Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party tickets!!:santa:

I'm pretty excited about this party since it is a first time event for me and for my girls too! I waited to order tickets til I could be sure that I could get the BBB appointment for my little Allison! She loves to dress up. She has her heart set on getting Belle's red and gold Christmas dress. I really hope that it's available for her.

For fun... here is a pic of her all dressed up at the Pirate and Princess party last year. She wore a Deluxe Aurora dress, that she had acually wore the year before to the 'My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party'!!

Enough about the party for now... I'm going to switch gears to tell you about our to-do's for our 1st park day.... Sunday at Animal Kingdom!!

Definately...no to be missed attractions.

1. Expedition Everest... no secret here, I'm a huge thrill ride junkie as are the girls. I know the boys don't care for heights....so I'm not sure how receptive they'll be to this since it looks so high.I know the do like roller coasters. We will definately be conquering this baby... but probably not first thing! I'll FP it for later in the afternoon.

2. Safari.... what's a trip to AK without the safari:confused3

3. It's Tough to be a Bug!!... the boys will LOVE this! And I think Nanna forgot about the bugs under her butt... and I want to hear her squeal again:lmao:

4. Festival of the Lion King....My all time fave WDW show. I'm still trying to figure out a way to get Allison to meet the tumble monkeys!! I may do a little research on the possibility of such a meeting in September;)

5. Dinosaur!!.... Again because I like to see Nanna scream:rotfl2: but also because I think that Dinosaur is a great Disney Attraction!! Attractions like this is what sets WDW apart from an 'amusement park' These are the kind of Attractions that my nephews will LOVE and will accept that WDW isn't a bunch of fluffy characters running around entertaining little kids!!

6. Parade... basically because the girls and Nanna haven't seen it yet and we do plan to close the park that day!

If Time....

Finding Nemo.... the girls and Nanna have yet to see this one (I think:confused3)

Kali River Rapids.... Nanna can ride with the kids LOL!!! Someone needs to wait with the stuff so it doesn't get wet.....AND man the cannons on the bridge:rolleyes1

Anything else we can fit in. Our AK day is supposed to be very busy... but AK is the recommended park, so hopefully it will go in our favor!

I plan to try to get an extra ride on EE and walkthe trails on our departure day... we will have several hours there to soak up the atmosphere and have breakfast, so that work great!

OK that's all for tonite!! Next up... to-do's for Park day #2 Magic Kingdom!! with a bonus to-do list for MVMCP:santa:

Bye!

I love the pictures of your DD in her princess dress!! She looks stunning! I have a very similar pic of DD standing in front of Cinderella Carriage in her deluxe Cinderella dress from MNSSHP in 06!!! I LOVE it!!

I love both WCC and 50's PT as well! We had a absolute blast at WCC on the first night of our trip in Jan and it was a great way to start off the vacation! Not to mention we were starving after a long day of traveling etc and the Canyon Skillet really hit the spot!

Yeah on getting all your ADRs and what a great friend Jen is to do that for you!

On the Tumble Monkeys back on our March 2008 trip we were at FOTLK. It started and about 10 minutes into the show if that there was a burning kind of smell, a float got stuck and they had to stop the show completely. It was a huge bummer since we'd been waiting a while for it to start. The consolation prize was they had all the performers out on the floor and you could go around and meet and greet and take pictures with them. So I guess you can hope for a mechanical failure and cancellation of the show as one way to meet a Tumble Monkey!

Hi everyone!!
Long time to see...huh???

I feel bad about letting this PTR wallow...forgotten.... but I've been really busy:rolleyes1

So I thought I'd do just a quick little update!

I have ordered our MVMCP tickets! They will be waiting forus when we arrive.

I added another ADR... for Thursday evening at Prime Time. I thought we could take the boat from Epcot to DHS. It'll give the kids a little DHS preview for the next day. I really want to try this restaurant, I think it'll be a hoot. At this point... I'm not cancelling anything. I think I'll just pay for Crystal Palace breakfast OOP, since it's our least expensive meal.

My Owners Locker suitcase, is filling up. I think I have pretty much everything I'm getting for it now....I need to go thru it and compare it to my list. I'll post a pic and the list soon....well....eventually:rotfl2:

Since I'm down to 24 days til Jenjolt and I's trip.... I thought I'd share my shopping list for WDW for this months trip of things I'm buying to make up goodie bags for Nanna and the kids for the November trip..... did thateven make sense???

Lanyards
autograph books
special mickey pens for autographs
pressed penny books... for my girls, I may wait for the boysand see if they're interested
matchy matchy T-shirts
some odds and ends (like pencils)for fun

I already bought pins for the kids on ebay... I think they will each have 8 to keepor trade.

I MAY or may NOT make us tees as well. I'm having trouble deciding on what. I'm considering a festive MVMCP tee.... but then Allison won't getone.... of course she'll be rather festive in her BBB getup:confused3

Thats all for today....I'll try to come up with a 'real' post soon! I'm really bad about PTRs... I am much better with TRs:lmao:

This is the first time in over a month I have see your PTR on the first page, so........ Of course, I had to comment. I know you have been treating this bad-boy very gingerly, but I seriously think you are over the bad mojo. Things are shaping up so nicely for BOTH of your trips. :thumbsup2

I LOVE the picture of Allison in her princess dress. It is really beautiful. Your ADR's sound great and yeah for prepurchasing your tickets. I can't believe how expensive they are. TG for DVC annual passes....they really take the sting out of the sticker shock.

Anyway.....since I never see you on the boards anymore....Hope you and Jen have a great trip and continued good luck in planning this trip!~
