Hi Again!!
I am stressing big time over the reception options I can have for an Escape wedding. I really want to do something fun and different since it is in WDW, but I am on a tight budget:confused:
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has had their reception at hoop-de-doo, and whether or not wearing a bridal gown there is allowed?
If not, I would really appreciate other fun suggestions!
Thanks!!

I too am an Escape Bride...I'm planning on doing the HDDR the night before the wedding...DF does not want to be the center of attention and figures we can blend in if we are not in our wedding garb :lmao:
That being said, having done the HDDR before-I wouldn't wear my wedding gown there without a HUGE bib or apron with water-proof backing. Napkins just arent enough. The entire meal is BBQ, greasy and buttery...YUM!
Just my 2 cents. HTH's

From what I heard you can wear your wedding attire as long as its not to an actual park... We're planning on having our reception dinner at 1900 Park Fare. We are having tons of kids, so we figured it would be fun for them and we'll get our pictures with Cindy in our wedding attire!

We are also planning on having our "rehersal" dinner at the HDDR. We went a few years ago with my parents and had a blast! I don't think there would be any rules against wearing your bridal gown there but be prepared it is an interactive show and it will draw LOTS of attention to you- and you'll definately want that bib- the food is super yummy but quite messy! Good Luck!

Thanks everyone!!
If we go with this option, we are planning on going to the later show anyway, so maybe I could just change. I just really want to treat my guests to something fun and different, and unfortunately do not have the money to do both a dinner and dessert party. It is disney though, so I am sure I will come up with something fun!!!

We did Wilderness Canyon Cafe and it was fun! We had a party of 19, and we rode the wooden horses around the room while wearing our wedding attire. Then we hopped the buses back to our resort - still in our wedding garb. Makes for fun conversation. :)
