Hi everyone.

This is a difficult and very detailed request. I am hoping there is someone who wants to take it on. My daughters are having a Quince. Which is the Hispanic version of a Sweet Sixteen done at age 15, and steeped in family and religious traditions. It is very much like a formal wedding, with a court resembling a wedding party. There is a reception with a first dance with the father, and a sit down dinner with DJ and a photographer. The invites are often wedding invites with the wording changed and there are reception cards and RSVP cards with return envelopes. Their reception is themed Around Alice in Wonderland, and especially the tea party. We are looking for a non- Disney invite. That is formal, but uses characters from any of the books and in an antique style. They think the Disney is associated with the kiddie birthdays, even though their reception will be based on the Disney Mad Hatter tea party. I know it is a lot to ask....

Below is the wording we would use for the invite. Then there would be a reception card and a RSVP card...both with some kind of graphic on it. Please, if you can help us it would be greatly appreciated.

Mr. & Mrs. Philip Caruso

Request the honor of your presence at

The quinceañera of their daughters,

Angela Marie and Katerina Elizabeth

Saturday, the fourth of June

Two thousand and eleven

Six o'clock in the evening

At the Chapel in the Woods
Arrowhead Acres
Reception immediately follows.

Reception card and RSVP card needed too. If someone really wants to attempt this I can send that info...

I know it is a lot of work.
If anyone is interested in giving this a try let me know?
I have been trying to find something on the internet, but have found only Disney kids fill in type invites, and some wonderful lady I talked to who was sweet but wanted 3K to do this :(
The one positive is they do not have to be done and can be worked on slowly as the party isn't til 2011. :)
I would greatly appreciate and owe anyone who wants to take this on. I know it is a big thing to ask for. You guys have always been so helpful...Thanks

I will give it a try...I'm working on two others right now so it will probably be tomorrow. But here are a few questions before I get started on an attempt.

1.What size do you want the invitation to be?
2. What color do you want the background?
3. What color do you want the wording to be?
4. Do you have a specific font that you want to use or style (i.e. formal, etc)
5. Are there any specific colors you are using for the party and want to incorporate in the invitation?
6. When you say antique style...are you wanting the pictures to be in sepia tones?

I would be so incredibly thankful. Thank you so very very much for even attempting. I am at wits end asking anyone I can for suggestions after spending I do not know how many hours scouring the net for anything. Lots of kiddie invites and adult tea parties that do not fit the bill. Just think something classy like a wedding invite, and pretty for two 15 year olds. I can't wait to see what you come up with. THANK YOU!!!!!!

I will give it a try...I'm working on two others right now so it will probably be tomorrow. But here are a few questions before I get started on an attempt.

1.What size do you want the invitation to be?
Ok, I am going to have it printed onto a 5X7 foldable card. Front would have "Angela and Katerina's Quinceanera" and the art work. Inside would have the wording with something simple art, vines teacups or something...I dunno.....Then maybe something small on the recepton card and RSVP card? Really I leave it up to you. I have a million ideas but can't find anything and can not put what is in my head on paper. Just not very artistic at all :(
2. What color do you want the background?
Off white or a light beige will be the color of the invite. So a color that will go with that I am open to anything.
3. What color do you want the wording to be?
I would say black or any dark color that will make it easily read. Again open to anything
4. Do you have a specific font that you want to use or style (i.e. formal, etc)
Any formal script
5. Are there any specific colors you are using for the party and want to incorporate in the invitation? Lots of colors. Think, colorful paper lanterns will decorate the ceiling. Flowers and butterflies. Mad Hatter hats upside down on tables with huge gerber daisies coming out of them. Pansies in different places! So lots of color...
6. When you say antique style...are you wanting the pictures to be in sepia tones?Could be sepia or washed out colors so it doesn't look like a 5 year olds invite (that is what they said)

Send me a PM with your email address. I throw an annual "Mad Hatter Tea Party" for mother's day and can send you pictures and ideas for decorating if you want them.

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around it being antique style but using lots of color...I thought I would try to work on the cover for your invitation as a starting point. Do any of these appeal to you or are there things that we could mix and match about them to make what you are looking for? If there aren't any that you like please don't feel bad...this may be a request for Donatalie. She is absolutely amazing! I'm an amature compared to her.

I put two Alice's in some of these...being a twin myself...I felt like there needed to be two. :)

Still not sure if I have found anything to match what you are wanting. What are your girls favorite colors and what are some characters that you would like to highlight in the invitation?

Favorite colors for them would be yellow, pink, light blue. They love the mad hatters tea party theme so the Mad hatter, Alice, they love the mouse in the teapot....the cheshire cat in the tree. The teacups is a big part of the party. We have huge tea cup centerpieces and that is everyone's favors.

I know this is weird and the request is not an easy one. Believe me I am appreciating the help, and I have a long time to work on this. So I do not want you to feel I need it tomorrow. I just have a good feeling we can come up with something. You have already given me so many ideas for the actual party!

I tried my hand in it. I went for a more modern minimalist look (which is very in right now, but who knows next year lol)

I couldn't resist trying this...here is my shot. I made two of basically the same idea..with one having more pattern

Don't forget that text style (font) and text color can be changed...also, the images could be made smaller and a border could be added!
