I have all my ADRs (got them all- yay!), and now I'm in the planning stage for counter-service meals. The menu at Sunshine Seasons looks really good, but pretty confusing to use with the DDP. Is everything available on the plan? If not, does anyone have any pics of the menu board so I can see which items have the DDP logo next to them? Or can someone tell me which items are and are not included- the Asian items? Soups and Salads? Grab n' Go? I assume all of the breakfast items are available on the plan, right? And does anyone know if a teen would be allowed to use an adult meal credit to get the children's selection chicken leg meal? I don't want to give my family false hopes about the options and then have to listen to whining!

I am a huge fan of Sunshine Seasons. Here's how it works.

You walk in and it's basically like a food court at the mall. There are four or five sections set up: "Bakery, Asian, Sandwhiches" and the last one that is my favourite that has chicken and salmon I guess is the "grab & go". I might be missing one. Anyway, they're set up as seperate stations, and then there are several fountain drink stations surrounding them.

If you are on the DDP, you can get one meal at any of the stations, as well as anything from the bakery to be your dessert. There aren't any restrictions. I would reccomend getting a combo meal because it's more food. You get your cup for your drink at the register when you check out.

Typically speaking, adults can use their credits toward a kid's meal, but kids cannot use their credits toward an adult meal, so it shouldn't be a problem. But the oven roasted half chicken with garlic mashed potatoes is soooo good!! I would reccoment that. It's all I ever get there, heh.

Hope this helps!

If I were going to use a CS at Sunshine Seasons it would not be for breakfast. The desserts here are marvelous and you don't get dessert at breakfast. (You should probably note that if your teen gets the kids' meal he will probably be stuck with the kids' dessert - if you'd like him to have a better dessert it might work to find something on the regular menu that he'd like)

Of course it's the only CS breakfast at Epcot, so what can you do.

Sunshine Seasons is fabulous place to have counter service lunch or dinner -- we did that twice at the end of May --

first time, we chose from the Asian section -- 2 entrees & 2 sides, a drink and a dessert -- huge plate of food & go to the bakery section to get your desserts (don't make the mistake of choosing from those little prepackaged desserts at the grab & go section...you can get those anywhere! but the bakery section has wonderful desserts like a to-die-for strawberry shortcake & an awesome butterfinger cheesecake.)

the second time, we went to the grill section and got grilled salmon with veggie sides. Delicious!

Another thumbs up for CS lunch, or dinner, at SS! We usually go a few times each trip. Most of the time my DM, DD10, and I share 2 meals. Sometimes not. Great desserts.:goodvibes The chicken is good but lately we've been having the Rare Tuna Salad. So good, and where else can you get slices of rare tuna as a CS?

Also, I love being able to refill my soda beforing leaving the area.

It's also a good place to grab a quick snack late at night after riding Soarin'. We did this during the EMH p.m.

This is the tuna salad-

There's a lot of tuna hiding under those crunchies!

Here's the chicken

And a few of the desserts!

Tried Sunshine Seasons for the first time on our Feb. visit and really liked it. I had the chicken (pictured in DizneyDaz post) and it was very good!

We split the asian combo plate late week, Mongolian Beef, Spicy Asian Chicken, Noodles, and vegetables. Also had a WONDERFUL Butterfinger Cheesecake!

Now that I read these descriptions, I think I've eaten there before, lol! I'm glad to know that we can get the bakery desserts, yum. Thanks a lot for the responses- this *will* be our CS restaurant at least once when we go. We have just 16 more days to wait!:yay:

Question: we are doing Le Cellier for lunch on our Epcot day, but will need a CS dinner. I am assuming SS is open then? And do they still have a good selection of desserts available at dinner time? Specifically the shortcake and butterfinger cheesecake? Don't want to plan it for dinner and find out they never have anything left at 6 pm!

If your son really wants the child's menu, you are better off paying out of pocket for him. Save his credit for a breakfast one day or an extra snack to share with the rest of the family. He could probably use a snack credit for one of the desserts (don't know if all would qualify as a snack credit).
