Good Morning
We've never done this but I'm considering it as both my daughter (10) and myself LOVE shamu.
Has anyone done it and was it any good?
Do you have to book a front row seat? Is it a good view if you don't get a front row seat?
Any other info or advice would be great!
Thanks :thumbsup2

I did it for my son's 4th birthday and it was great. The food was good for park buffet fare and the desserts were very good. I went to the pool early and spoke with staff and requested poolside seats for my son and we were put right on the pool. It was a memory for him and the rest of my family had a wounderful time. i would definitely do it again

Here's my review with pics: ***************/RUNuj
We loved it and we don't even have kids. Book as early as possible if you want those front row seats!

Thanks everyone, we're definitely going to give it a go :thumbsup2
When is the best time to book for October and how? Should I book it through the website? I've had a look but it doesn't allow you to go very far in advance
Thanks again :goodvibes

We did it last year and it was OK, worth doing once. Food is really good to be from a theme park so that is a plus. Seeing Shamu a little closer than when at the show is a plus as well, but to us, it wasn't worth doing again. At least not in the near future. As others have said, book it early for the best seats, the second row isn't nearly as good.

I was considering this as well! My DD LOVES Shamu and thought it would be neat. How much does this run $$??

we just did this last week. The food was good and filling not gourmet. Lasted about an hour and 15 min total. WE did the 6:30pm show and you got to see the backstage part of Believe while it was going on. Then they did a small show probably 15-20min for us in our pool and then it was over. Would i do it again??? yes This is not a bad alternative to having to eat another park burger.

Unfortunatley i didn't see any vip passes. We checked in over by the underwater viewing for Shamu and then we walked to the restaraunt. If you only get down here once in a while i would do it. This is a nice way to have a relative bit of peace and quiet and get away from the crowds . Considering the prices of buffets at WDW this is a good deal .

What time did you check in for the 6:30 dinner and where exactly? We have the same thing booked for next week. IIRC you need to check in quite a bit earlier?

Hello ! I called to see how availability was for July 22nd and asked regarding the seating arrangements. Where and at waht time , if you have a 6:30pm dinner do you have to "check in" and ask to get a poolside table ?
Thank you ! :goodvibes

Hi Snowbunny
The best way i can describe it is on the pathway behind Shamu stadium there is a viewing area for underwater viewing. there was a podium set up there for check in . We were there at 6pm and the guy showed up a few minutes later. Be shure to stop at the check in at the front of the park when you walk past the photographers its straight ahead. This lets them know your in the park. I would alsop recommend 30min early if you can. You should be able toregister and hit Manta within 30minutes or so. The entrance to Manta will be to the left after you preregister.
Have fun and bring hats its brutal down here right now

Thanks!
I'm actually looking forward to the heat, it's been 65 degrees and raining for 2 weeks in New England. No summer to speak of yet.

The heat is your friend at SeaWorld if you like the coasters. We've been going at night after everyone else has dropped of heat exhaustion and riding Manta to our heart's content with no wait. Even if you're not doing that, the crowd density will be cut down overall (although people do leave for a while and come back for the nighttime shows).

I loved the Dining with Shamu..although I thought it was pricey for what we ate..but the desserts were good too..and it was just plain awesome to have a private showing of Shamu...I would do it again.
