You should do what I do.....I always toss in my bag a soft sided tote bag or duffle bag. That way if I bring home too much, I have place to pack it. If not, it takes up almost no space.


Ok, I am heading out of work right now and on over to my brother's place. I will be staying there till late tomorrow. Won't have access to internet I don't think. Damn! Oh well. Cant wait till sunday rolls around. i am so excited. All the planning is done so Vegas here we come!

I'm collecting for the rings, and sending it to Donna when I get home.

5:00 seems too early since we can't check into the timeshare until 4 p.m. right? We will need time to unpack, get organized and change for dinner.

We had a fun backstage tour today and to top it off, we were all refunded our money!!! Mary Jo says she's only going on tours I go on, since both of mine were refunded.

It was only because they started 45 min late. We loved the tour.

Just saying hi. Only have a sec. I'm meeting Theresa and Deb at the Venetian this morning to wait for Stacie and Marice. I've been late twice already yesterday so I better not be late again!!!

Dawn - :goodvibes me too. But the way things are going, it really wouldn't have been possible, even if the weather had cooperated. I am envious of all of you having a blast, but I know I couldn't have made it. Maybe next time!

Cheryl, the tour was great for us. The bottom line was that Disney gave it to us so it's hard to find fault with any of it. We got to see the inner workings that most of the public never ever sees. See the report several people did on the thread in the podcast forum. But since others may be looking to our comments to decide if they want to pay for this, I should say a few things. The only thing that didn't work for us (and a lot of people) was that we spent over 25 min just hanging at the train station because a portion of the group (maybe 1/4) lined up to see the inside of the small train. I wish they could have taken us somewhere else at that time. But in the context of a free tour, it is nothing.

This tour is more for the business person than the casual visitor. But also for a true Disney fan who enjoys knowing how the park is run. I see why they do not allow anyone under 16 as they would be bored silly.

I did not mind the walking - I considered it exercise! Our leader, Bruce, could not have been more charming and helpful. The saddest part was that because the tour ran late, lunch was pushed way back. So rather than wait and then spend at least an hour at lunch, we grabbed something fast, got our pins and headed on the freeway. It just fell on a very busy day for us and we were committed to a schedule.

We regretted not getting to chat more with Pete (who did a fabulous job organizing all this) and meet some new people although we had plenty of time to chat with old friends before the tour and at the train station. What a wonderful community he's set up for all of us.

Today is southern Strip--MGM, World of Coke, M&M World, the Luxor and lunch at Dick's Last Resort in the Excalibur. Tonight is BLT Burger for dinner, then LOVE (the Cirque du Soleil/Beatles show) and Revolution (the ultra lounge with the same partnership theming).

Yesterday I saw everyone who is here so far for dinner at Margaritaville, but everyone was exhausted (including yours truly) so it was very, very mellow, and I expect that most people hit the pillow pretty early.

Can't wait for Cheryl, Wendy and Dawn to get here and for the group to be complete!

If it's between those two, definitely go with NY NY. Stratosphere is way too far down and it's icky.

Also you can also try Priceline and bid on a hotel room. If you do that just make sure you pick a location on the Strip, and one that is at least 3 stars. Good luck. Summer time is busy time and the deals are harder to come by.

Last time I stayed at the Trop I had a room with a view of Excalibur. Nice room, huge and right near the elevators. The elevators dropped you right into the casino next to the lounge. The lounge was a lot of fun, live music and cheap drinks. No mirror on the celing in that room.

Last night my bosses daughter (who is also my buddy) asked me if I wanted to be in a date auction fund raiser in September. Doesn't that sound right up my alley. :thumbsup2 The hard part is I have to solicit businesses to donate the date and then the guys bid on me and the date package.

I have decided I am putting my vacation request in today for Monday July 27th. I will fly in on Friday after work and leave Monday.

Well i Loved taking the picture of our feet.. it was spur of the moment and so fun!

i had such a happy time at the luncheon at outback.. it was good just to be together, simple.

hhmmmm... i started to say more.. but i'm afraid i might forget someone and unintentionally hurt their feelings. so if i do please forgive me....

i loved the first moment i hugged cheryl again.. and it made me so happy to hold debra's hand when we took the group picture.. it was cute to listen to stacielee talk about her hair.. and when i saw theresa i just had to grab her up and sit next to her at lunch, she always makes my heart warm.. it was great to get to visit with beth at lunch as we never really get to.... i loved watching jane's face when she spoke about her babyboy... and is there anything brighter than stacerita's smile, it always feels like home to see it.... and i had such a very real and genuine conversation with marcie.

and gosh i have so many happy memories of wendylouwho..i can't even begin to find one... they are all my favorite...but the best one would be at this beautiful part in mystere when i looked over and she had tears in her eyes because the music and the couple dancing reflected this pure joy..it made me cry...and a close second would be her chicken baby.:rotfl2:

I loved the look on Cheryl's face when I was telling her about my lexus story while sitting in her lexus. The [EDIT] pics we all took. Making fun of Canadians. Eh! Theresa not getting water at the Rio buffet. OG!!!! Of the meals I had the most fun at Dick's Last Resort, but also thought that Outback was really enjoyable, and I loved the quiet dinner at the Loft. Stripper class was a hoot! Of the meals I had the most fun at Dick's Last Resort, but also thought that Outback was really enjoyable, and I loved the quiet dinner at the Loft. Stripper class was a hoot! Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy!!!

Yep, all of that was great memories!! I loved the TP!! I laughed so hard about the Lexus story. Dick's Last Resort was great!! Esp when Michael Jackson called and wanted his hair back :rotfl2: or the biggest "rita, and Marcie's dance from Taco.


The date auction sounds like a lot of fun. Totally you girl!

Well i Loved taking the picture of our feet.. it was spur of the moment and so fun!

i had such a happy time at the luncheon at outback.. it was good just to be together, simple.

hhmmmm... i started to say more.. but i'm afraid i might forget someone and unintentionally hurt their feelings. so if i do please forgive me....

i loved the first moment i hugged cheryl again.. and it made me so happy to hold debra's hand when we took the group picture.. it was cute to listen to stacielee talk about her hair.. and when i saw theresa i just had to grab her up and sit next to her at lunch, she always makes my heart warm.. it was great to get to visit with beth at lunch as we never really get to.... i loved watching jane's face when she spoke about her babyboy... and is there anything brighter than stacerita's smile, it always feels like home to see it.... and i had such a very real and genuine conversation with marcie.

and gosh i have so many happy memories of wendylouwho..i can't even begin to find one... they are all my favorite...but the best one would be at this beautiful part in mystere when i looked over and she had tears in her eyes because the music and the couple dancing reflected this pure joy..it made me cry...and a close second would be her chicken baby.:rotfl2:

Here's what I posted on the DL thread about the rings (just trying to make sure I send Donna the right number): I think there were 1-2 rings that no one took; is that right, Beth? This is what I have in my list that each person owes (some had paid previously so this is only what I have to send to Donna): me-4, Dawn-8, Cheryl-8, Theresa-4, Stacie-4, Deb-4, Marcie-4, Beth-4. Hey everybody--I know there is some talk that a few of us may go back to Vegas for Thanksgiving weekend.

The LA Times had a special yesterday for the MGM Grand and I just called and booked it! For regular rooms the rates start at $59 and for suites the rates start at $79. (Don't remember exact rates for our dates--for November 25th check-in for 5 nights for a regular room it was $350 total.)

It has to be booked by August 1--so call quick.

The booking codes are INB280 for regular rooms and INB278 for suites.

I would have booked a suite but since I'm bringing my Mom we needed handicapped accessible and they didn't have handicapped suites on this special.
