Is there a list somewhere of restaurants not on the dining plan? Does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants not on the dining plan? I wouldn't mind checking out one or two on our trip, and I don't want to miss a good restaurants on account of it being off the plan. Thanks!

I did a Google search for restaurants not on the dining plan and came up with this single post. Thought I'd bump it up to see if anyone has any lists somewhere.

I don't know of a list of restaurants NOT on the plan - just a list of restaurants that are. I guess you could compare this list with the master list of all restaurants on the Disney site?

What restaurants are you in the mood for? Are you looking for signature dining like Citricos, Fulton's Crab House, Narcossee's. There are some other fun restaurants - Bongos in DTD, T-Rex, Rainforest Cafe. There is the Luau at Poly. We did the Dining Plan in the past, but found that we just don't like living around the ADRs. We make a few reservations each trip for new restaurants we want to try, and the rest of the time we eat at the room or grab something wherever.

Thanks for the input!

I'm trying to come up with some new ideas for next trip and want to go "outside the box." The dinning plan is a nice idea and all but I like trying new places each time we go and there's not to many more that jump out at me. Plus, I'm not sure the plan is really saving me anything at all anyway. The last day we were there I was forced to use 17 snack credits :lmao: I STILL have Mickey taffy's sitting on top of the fridge! :rotfl2:

If you are looking for places that won't be as crowded most 2TS restaurants do not fill up so quickly. I wish Le Cellier would go to 2TS since we almost always pay OOP and reservations have gotten almost impossible to get at the 90 day mark. We also go to Yachtsman (a much better restaurant IMHO) and never have a problem getting a reservation.

I heard the same thing about Le Cellier. We wnt in June and had no problem with reservations on the 90 day mark. I had a open selection for the hrs I wanted and everything. It was pretty busy but not packed when we went.

Le Cellier is so much smaller than most WDW restaurants that even moving it to 2 TS won't help much, probably, now that it's been hyped into being booked up solid for months at a time. At any rate the food, atmosphere and prices are not of a quality to cost 2 TS. Le Cellier started off as a 2 TS restaurant though, and was changed to a 1 TS.

Post deleted. Just realized that non-Disney-owned restaurants don't get listed on the DDP until late in the year.

Shh! Stop wishing that Le Cellier was 2TS credits! I'd rather it stay at 1 credit, thank you very much!

The more I look at the restaurants the more I think I want to make the whole trip OOP. If not for anything else, for T-REX. That place looks awesome!

A friend of mine just got back from there and they loved, loved, loved T-Rex. They said the food was better than Rainforest Cafe.

I had one of my all-time favorite meals at Fulton's Crab House. I think it took me almost 45 minutes to walk back to the water taxi back to POR, I was so full. But I didn't care - the meal from start to finish was awesome and so was the food!

That's another one I'd love to try! Up here we are all about the Blue Crab but I've always wanted to try a stoner(crab) !
