AKL Savannah View 7 months

How difficult is it to get AKL Savannah view at 7 months for a January stay? My father won't go back to WDW unless he can stay at AKL and look at the animals from his room:eek:

AKV hasn't been around that long so there's not much history, but Kidani has lots of savannah view villas and January in general isn't a particularly busy DVC time, so at 7 months, I think your chances are very good for nearly all types of Savannah views. I don't know about GVs. That's very nice of you to try to accomodate your dad's wants!

I doubt you'll have a problem booking a Studio or 1 Bedroom SV in January at the 7th Month mark.

I booked a studio with savanaa view for Dec 20-28, right at the 7th window.:thumbsup2

That said, I am still hoping we get BLT for the Dec 28-Jan 2, but I am also on waitlist for the remaining nights at AKL. If not, I will be happy to spend them at Saratoga, not a bad down side.:santa:

Also, the other half of Kidani isn't available so there will be even more opportunity.

At 7 months for most of Jan, you probably have very good chance. Highly questionable, however, would be Jan 1 and 2 (still part of the Christmas very high demand time), and only somewhat questionable are Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights of the second weekend in Jan (Marathon weekend), and Fri through Mon night of the Martin Luther King weekend.

I know it's not Jan, but I booked a 2 bdr Savanah room, Jambo, at the 5 month mark for September. Jan would be less busy, I would think. Good Luck!!

I just booked a 2bd SV at Kidani at the 7m window for MLK weekend and the week after with no problems. You should be fine as that is probably one of the busier times after the New Year.

We are currently waitlisted for Jan 7th for a 2BR AKV, they had the rest 8-14 availaible. So I guess it depends on the number of rooms right now.

We got a savanah view studio for Jan. 3-8 with no problem. We are chasing the impossible dream and are on the wait list for a concierge level studio. That will be icing on the cake if by some miracle it comes through.

Just another report back - I was able to book a 1 bdr at Kidani savannah view for January 23 - 30th - no problem
