I phoned yesterday and today about pre booking a character breakfast at Cafe Mickey. The first person told me that I could only book two weeks prior. The second person told me that I could not book until three weeks prior. I was under the impression that I could book two months prior. Does anyone know the correct procedure. Oh and by the way, I am camping off site.
I also asked the price and was told twenty five euro's for an adult and seventeen for a child. At today's rate that would come to ninety two euro's for us (£78). Very expensive I thought. Can I pay on booking and is that the best way with the pound gaining on the euro?

Pre-paying in sterling is definitely the cheapest way with the poor exchange rate but unfortunately that is only possible if you have a package booked with Disney. I'm afraid you'll have to pay in euros on the day.
You're right in that meals can be booked up to 60 days in advance but others have mentioned before that they have been unable to book Cafe Mickey breakfasts so far in advance. I think the answer could be that they are seeing how busy it gets with bookings from resort guests before taking them from those staying off-site.
Although many on here enjoy their Cafe Mickey breakfast, personally I would rather pay extra and eat there at either lunchtime or in the evening. You won't have any problems booking this 60 days in advance. Have you considered this or had you set your heart on breakfast there?

On our previous two visits we have had the breakfast but stayed on site and booked with agent. We have also had lunch but must admit to preferring the atmosphere of the breakfast.
My OH says that the visit wouldn't be the same without it.
I wonder if i call every few days will i hit it lucky with a different operator, or do they have hard and fast rules. I also found a uk number on another thread that i may try tomorrow.

I called the British number today. Spoke to an American lady. She told me that I could book up to one year in advance. Then I told her that I was camping off site. She said that you could not reserve a character breakfast if you are staying off site, you can only turn up and hope that there is room!
I am none the wiser. Sounds to me that there is no definitive answer to my question

I'm pretty sure the lady you spoke to today was right - if you're not staying onsite, you pay for Cafe Mickey in advance, and you may not be able to book a table in advance either (although I would still phone them again a few days before you go, to check again if you can reserve a table).
Your other option is to book either at Cafe Mickey itself, or with City Hall, when you arrive.
