I ordered some things for the girls from the Disney Store USA when the £ was very strong and it worked very well. So, with Mia's birthday approaching, I thought I'd have a look there again and maybe get one of the Princess dresses (Ariel's) from USA. I went to the Disney Store on Oxford St and honestly didn't like any of the dresses there so thought I'd have a look online :)

And yes, everything in USA was much nicer and cheaper even with the not-great exchange rate (well it's better now than what it was). Found the dress, a couple bits and pieces and when I got to the checkout the postage was $58:scared1::scared1::scared1: I thought it was outrageous!!! I sometimes order clothes for the kids form USA and even shipments with Fedex don't cost as much... So yeah... need to think about it twice now... Shame...

Sorry, got carried away :)

I know what you mean. I ordered loads of stuff before Christmas - a HUGE boxful - and postage then was about $45. Even though it was a lot, it was still loads cheaper than buying the stuff over here and the quality was lovely.

I went to look a week or so back at getting a few bits and postage was over $50 for just a couple of T-Shirts. :scared1:

I ordered several times from the disney usa site, all orders came to around €300 + around €50 shipping, always gets delivered in Ireland by UPS...and usually get charged around €35 duty......great value for me though because I also have loads in my order from the disney outlet for gifts for other people, for next to nothing, you can get great things for the house or some nice gifts which have subtle disney branding ( i got really nice ceramic blue mickey mouse herb pots for my aunt for christmas and they only cost a few dollars)
so if you manage to find some cheap gifts on the outlet section maybe you could justify the high shipping,
