Right now my title is a work in progress but it definitely is appropriate for my current situation! Me, Nikki, the super planner of super planners is NOT ready to make my ADRS in 8 days!!!!!!:scared1:
Is it because you just booked this trip you ask, I wish it were so, but sadly no. I just Completely and utterly dropped the ball on this one. MIL (more about the fam in a minute) asked last night were we were the dining plans and I about fainted. Maybe it is because my sewing business is super busy right now, maybe it is because my baby just graduated kindergarten and I have been wrapped up in all the end of the year plans, maybe it was because Disney has dropped the ball on getting the hours out but what ever the reason, I sit here today with my newly purchased Passporter in hand ready to lay out our plans for our 10 day trip in September.
How did you get to this point?……You ask?????? Well just wait and I will post the crazy cast and how our trip came to be.
For those joining the party late, here are the links to my chapters

A little background on our family, so you can get to know us! We took our first trip as a family in 2003 when DD was only 6 months old. This was my 1st ever trip to Disney and I was hooked! We have gone on every Disney trip, all 6 of them in 6 years, with my in-laws. I am very lucky that I have WONDERFUL in-laws. We always have great trips. In 6 short years, we have converted many friends to the Disney-side~~~~mooohaha! Sometimes we try to convince them to come while we are there and do something fun together (it will be the case for this trip as well.) I will be bringing you photos of past trips along our ride as we approach D-day (Disney day!)
Just so ya know, I LOVE pictures so this PTR will be jam packed with them!
On to our starring cast!
First up is me, Nikki, 28 (29 at trip time) and the self-proclaimed super planner. I love all things Disney especially that 1st walk down main street and seeing the castle at the beginning of every trip. *sigh* My favorite character is Tink because I see myself in her~~~short and sassy. :tink: I am also a Disboutiquer (which is why all the cute Disney clothes~handmade by me).

http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z136/disneylovinfamily/disneyvacation/image021.jpg
DH, Mark, 29 (30 at the time of the trip) and our pack mule and Disney princess connoisseur. Seriously, he loves princesses and HAS to get his pic alone with all of them. He thinks all the princesses LOVE him, especially Jasmine. Shhh don’t tell him it’s not true. His favorite characters are Jasmine and Stitch. :stitch:

http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z136/disneylovinfamily/DSC08409.jpg
DD, Roseanna, 6. She is a super planner in training! She loves Disney World and all things Disney. She loves going to the Disney Store just to get a fix of the magic. A girl after mama’s heart! Currently her favorite character is Ariel, but that changes constantly. I think she likes so many, it is just too hard to pick a favorite. She says she wants to ride BTMR this year but is afraid of kiddie coasters~~~not sure how well that one will pan out!

http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z136/disneylovinfamily/disneyvacation/image112.jpg
DS, Russell, 3. He is slowly learning about the love of Disney. When ever he sees a pic of the castle or anything resembling it, he screams DISNEY WORLD! He loves Ka-chow (aka Lightning Mcqueen.) HE his a busy, typical 3 year old and I look forward to this trip with him. This was my favorite age to take Roseanna when she was in awe of everything. Hopefully I won’t be let down with tons of tantrums!

http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z136/disneylovinfamily/disneyvacation/DSC05196.jpg
DMIL, Anna, raraloveseeyore on the DIS. No I won’t put your age. As stated by her DIS name, she loves Eeyore and collects all things grey and mopey. :eeyore: I think her collection of stuffed Eeyores now is well over 100. She has been to Disney many times, maybe she can enlighten me on a number but has yet to make the trip with DFIL alone (sorry Hon!)

DFIL, Russell. This is where my obsession, cough, LOVE of Disney originated. Dad (as I call him) watches Disney planning videos daily, has tons of books on Disney and loves the travel channel specials. He loves the Disney magic and I have always said he would make a spectacular cast member.

OUR supporting cast consists of the family of DH’s friend Dale. DH knows Dale through the Army, they are in the same NG unit and were deployed last year. We took a trip to Disney together last year after their homecoming in November and he couldn’t get enough. So Dale planned another trip for last December and then this one with us. We have created a monster. Sadly Dale’s DW will not make it one this trip, she will be home with their two youngest musketeers. SO who is coming?
Dale, the newly converted Disney lover. He loves nightmare before X-mas stuff. Also loves Disney Dining and is on the Deluxe plan this year.
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z136/disneylovinfamily/disneyvacation/DSC04469.jpg
Dale’s DD, forgot her name at the moment but it will come back to me
Dale’s DB. I believe this will be his 1st trip. Ahhhh a Disney virgin on our hands. He has much to learn. :thumbsup2
I will include pics of them when Dale gets them to me.
Up next, how our trip came to be and my frantic ADR plans.

Yay for getting your PTR started.
I'm looking forward to hearing your details....since I noticed your countdown is at 98 days. Ours is at 97 days, so looks like we'll be down in good ol' WDW at the same time. Your kiddos are cuties (love the picture of your son painting his masterpiece)

Thanks! My DH hates France (sorry is that offends anyone) and won't even go in the country while in Epcot. So I took this of Russ to tease him after we were done kidcot. It is one of my favorites! Maybe we will run into each other!

Did you think I just ignored you, NAH! :) This was the perfect segway to my next installment. See, you are special and get to star in my where in the World are the Williams' clan staying this year?
Well, let me give you a background of past trips first. Come on people, I have to build up and create some suspense.
Trip # 1 May 2003 We stayed at All Star Music in the Herbie Building. (no pics because I didn’t have a digital camera then---I was fighting technology and loved my old camera. Dumb mommy!)
Trip #2 May 2005 Stayed at Fort Wilderness cabins, so NICE!

I will be giving photo overviews of all these trips later on the the PTR, so stay tuned for those.
So onto the BIG NEWS!!!!!!!! We are staying at…………
Port Orleans Riverside!
I am so excited. :yay::woohoo::cheer2: A little history lesson for you: You see, me and DH were supposed to honeymoon at WDW and stay at this resort and then follow it up with a 3 day Disney Cruise back in Aug 2002. the trip was booked and mostly paid for and wedding plans were underway when 9/11 happened. Since DH is in the National Guard, he was mobilized and sent to the Pentagon for security and recovery (he is an MP) His unit was the first on the scene. Since we were no sure where he would be sent, we moved the wedding up to October and planned the wedding in 3 weeks. He left 2 days after the wedding and was stationed in GA. We had no honeymoon and I had to call and cancel our dream trip. So this trip is so special for me. We always stay value because we figure we are not in the rooms much, ect Well this trip, we are splurging a little and staying at POR with the free dining plan (our 3rd time taking advantage of that little gem)!

I am working on our ADR selections and wanted some opinions on some things, please chime in and help me decide. I only have a few days to get it all nailed down. :scared1: I am considering the following, any thoughts?
Tutto Italia
Sci Fi Dine In (never made it to this but always wanted to)
Yak and Yeti (been here and liked it but it may/maynot make the final cut)
50s Prime Time (been here too, but not sure on this one either)
Boatwrights (never been but it is at our home resort)
We wanted to do a GG with Dale and his family but they are all booked up so I am thinking one of the following, any thoughts or reviews!
Spirit of Aloha Dinner
Hoop Dee Doo Revue
I am almost positive that we ae going to try to book: Crystal Palace (for DMIL), Le Cellier (for all of us, YUMMY!), Chef Mickey (for DD and DS), Ohana Breakfast (for me----never done this any thoughts????) Cape May Cafe dinner (for DFIL)

Enjoying your PTR!!!
I can only comment on the ones I've been to:
My kids [DD(10), DS(8), DD(6)] love Sci Fi. I usually stick to a burger here and have always enjoyed the meal. It is a really fun atmosphere.
Boatwrights is very good!
Cape May dinner is also very nice.
I enjoy OHana breakfast. After a few buffets is is nice to have the meal served to you family style and the characters are fun!
I can't do a trip without doing Crystal Palace. I like all 3 meals here but really love an 8am breakfast on a day the park opens at 9.
Have you considered Tusker House breakfast? Food is good and I think it is the only meal with Daisy and she's so cute in her safari wear.

First of all you and an adorable family. It's cute that your DH likes to get his pictures taken with all the princesses.
I loved the Spirit of Aloha! We did that as our reception meal after our wedding back in 2001. It might have changed a bit, but when we went it was very memorable and the food was super yummy.:thumbsup2

Glad to hear Boatwrights is really good. I want to eat there since we may not make it back to that resort and it is not one that I think i would go to if we weren't staying there.
Haven't considered Tusker House, I will look at that! We saw Daisy in her Safari gear last trip at Camp Minnie Mickey and she is super cute! I love Daisy!

I was sucked into the Disnboutiquer vortex in 2007 and have never been able to escape their grasp for more then a few months. Because of those wonderful women, I have found my love of sewing. Back in 2007, I bought a few creations from the site not to be named and then I started sewing myself----first by hand :scared1: then I got a machine and I have never looked back. Are you ready for too many pictures of my kiddos? Here are some of my past creations and also some that I have purchased.

Once I have my ADRs made and my day plans set then I can start planning the outfits for this trip! I already have a Jungle Book dress done for an AK day because I made it for Roseanna to wear to a play here this year and it will be perfect but I have to coordinate Russell set before I can show you.;) Don't worry, there will be tons of customs in the weeks ahead.

I love the Hoop-de-doo, have went to it twice and will be going back! Sci-fi is fun for the atmosphere, my niece loves it, the food is okay. My parents went to Boatwrights our last trip and said the food was good. I enjoy Yak and Yeti, but I order Pho and do not explore that menu much ( which is unusual for me!). I have never tried Tutto Italia so can't comment on that. My family just did not get into Spirit of Aloha. Enjoy your trip and if you have time try the beignets at POFQ ( it it about a 5 min walk from POR to POFQ) they are yummy!

Wow! You're SUPER creative and talented. I'm jealous. I can't even thread a needle.
And I'm not sure if your kids could get any cuter. So adorable.

Nikki! I found you! I am so excited to read about your trip to Disney with your family. I especially love the EPCOT themed outfits for the little ones. Good luck with your ADRs. I ate at Yak and Yeti this past April, I made my reservation for about 30 minutes before the parade started and asked to be sat upstairs by the windows of the parade route. What a great place to see the parade, the biggest plus was the air conditioning.

Hey Katie! Welcome to the ride! I am nervous about ADRs this time, I have been seeing many people not get what they want :confused3 I have rarely had a problem. MIL and I are splitting the list so we are likely to get everything---I hope!
Good tip on Yak and Yeti! We at there last time and I really liked it. FIL missed that trip and I knwo he would really like it. I am pulling for it to make the final cut :)

ADR help, from your list, sadly we've only ever been too Spirit of Aloha Dinner
.
The story line was a bit boring, but the dances and firemen were incredible to watch and the food was amazing. They were two little kids seatted at the table next to us.. they seemed to be interested in the show about 75% of the time.. after that the kids just chatted with anyone sitting around them.:cutie::lmao:
Were gonna try Sci Fi and Ohana's are our upcoming trip the first weekend of August.

Thanks for your input. I don't really care much about the story--I am an action kinda girl. i think the kids would be interested. ANything that is romotly like tv turns them into vombies :lmao:
Actually we had our ADR meeting last night and made our decisions but you must have patience. First up is a mini trippie that I promised.

On Monday morning, the kids and I awoke early and ran to the store for rations for our family Disney planning session that night. I was in search of the elusive Mickey shaped burgers but had no luck at Walmart or Giant. BLAST! We then returned home and waited. Poor kids, if I heard “when is daddy, rara and papa going to be here” one more time I was going to gag them and stuff them under their beds. FYI, Daddy stayed in Baltimore (about an hour away) the night before because he worked really late.
Finally around 10:30 Daddy got home and Rara and Papa soon were up too. Speed racer, that’s Mark, left after them and arrived before them by about 15 minutes. Thanks goodness because he needed to take a shower before we left. Finally it was time to go but not before the paparazzi, I mean mommy took a few photos.

We drove and drove and drove until at least, could it be? Yes, it is! I see Thomas! And there he went, no parking---off to satellite parking. Russell announced him displeasre with a screaming whine “you are leeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaavvvvvvvvvving Thomas!!!!!!!!!!!” I assured him, we just needed to find the parking, which I was not sure we would EVER find! Finally after driving thorough an Amish farm and field (yes we were supposed to do that) we arrived at parking lot, James. Whew! Ok time for some more shots while we wait for the bus.

Thomas drove past the satellite parking. Had to defuse another melt down---Thomas is leeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaavvvvvvvvvvving us! “No honey, he is just taking other kids for a ride. “you get us tickets with your money mommy?” Russell asked. With my fingers crossed, I said yes. You see, I had called earlier in the am (while I was waiting for everyone) and was informed they were sold out but had a few on a first come, first served basis. From the look of the crowds, it was not looking good.

Finally we arrived at the railroad and Russell’s happy place! It was super busy and I decided, I was even more glad that I had said NO to a weekend trip to see Thomas. We made a bee-line for the ticket counter. I am perfecting my fast walk for Disney because as PeterPanicAttack says “running in Disney is a no-no.” We arrived at the ticket counter and low and behold, YES! They had tickets! Thank goodness, praise the Thomas gods, we had TICKETS! Well, $108 dollars later we had tickets to ride the 12:45 train. But first we HAD to find Papa something to eat. HE is much like a buzzard and has to be fed constantly and if there is food, he will sniff it out. On the way, I took advantage and snapped some more photos. I can’t help myself!

We got some fries and sodas and then went to wait in line for Thomas---YEAH!!!!! Where are the fastpasses? We have been much to spoiled by Disney. We caught ourselves asking this question a lot that day! Finally we saw Thomas puffing towards the station. Russell screamed “put your hat on Rara, we are going to ride on THOMAS!”
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9d837b3127ccec735813f783800000040O08AcNmjZwzcNQ e3nwc/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
We boarded the open air car and Russell was in heaven; total bliss! I gave him the window seat; well he kinda pushed me out of the way. Who knew a three year old could be so strong???? While we waited for the train to go, 3 conductors passed by and every time Russell said “is that topa happ? (that is Sir Topham Hatt for those that are not fluent in Russelleze) and every time we said no and then he would say “oh, is the ducalor?” (translation=conductor) and we would say yes it is honey. He was so cute! The people behind us though it was a hoot!

The whistle blew and we were on our way for our 22 minute ride on Thomas! The ducalor came and took our tickets and we asked if we could get his picture with the kids. Of course he said and bent down with them. Another conductor ran up and bent down and “said two for the price of one.” I’ll take it, I love a good deal!

We chugged along and soon were headed back; I think we got shorted because it was definitely not 11 minutes before we turned around! “you like this dady, you like this papa?” Russell is so considerate of others feelings! Of course they told him it was the greatest!

We raced down the length of the train (7 passenger cars were in front of us) and got in line to take our picture with Thomas. Russell was beside himself with happiness! Afterall, Thoams did come all the way from The Island of Sodor just to see HIM! We waited for a few families and were put in the line to the right of Thomas, DRAT! I wanted the center line. Oh well my baby was getting to see his hero! He really could have cared less about the pictures and just wanted to stare at him. I actually got much better pictures after we were out of line. While I was taking some, Thomas blew his whistle to let them know he was going to take some more kiddies on a trip. At that moment, I took one of my favorite shots of all time. Russell covered him mouth with pure excitement at the fact that he just heard Thomas whistle. It was the cutest!

We then walked over to stand in more lines, again no fastpasses. : confused3 We went to see Sir Topham Hatt. Then we did some shopping for some new trains of course. They had a special “Day Out With Thomas 2009” passenger car which we had to buy along with $40 worth of more Thomas stuff. Not bad actually! We got ice cream because Roseanna was doing her best Papa impression of having to sniff out the food. Then Papa and Rara wanted to check out an Amish craft stand before we hit some of the other activities. Big MISTAKE! Because….on our way to the stand, we saw a tent full of train tables and toys for the kids to play with. It would take a miracle to get Russell out of there. Mark and I sat and watched Russ play while Rara, Papa and Roseanna explored the Amish stand. Luck was going against us that day because Roseanna came over begging us for a baby bunny. They had babies for $10. Sorry honey the zoo at our house is CLOSED! She was sad but at least no tears. Finally, I tried to divert Russell’s attention to a large Lego Thomas in the distance. He was not buying it for a second. I scooped him up while on the run and somehow made it to the Lego Thomas without any tears! 1 Point for Mommy! WOOHOO!

We headed over to the rides again met with the no fastpass letdown and waited in line for the kids to ride the hand crack cars. They LOVED them and rode them 3 times! Roseanna could really fly around that track! Then they rode the miniature steam train with Rara. Mark and I went and bought an engraved piece of track for Russell’s room that says just that and we are going to hang it on his door. At this point we were all hot and had done most everything so it was time to bid farewell to Thomas and head back to the bus to be taken to the car. “Bye Thomas, I see you next year!”

Once in the car, Russell asked for his new toys. We gave them to him. He said I put them here (in his little holder next to his seat), I’m tired and he put his head down and was out, surely dreaming of Thomas!

I recognize Strasbourg! We went last summer and had lunch on the regular train. We had tears from Lauren as we drove right by Dutch Wonderland and did not stop.
We'll be in York late Friday night. It is a quick trip though. We arrive late Friday and are leaving for home Tuesday early am.

As promised and not a moment sooner, I give you……….
OUR DISNEY CELEBRATION!
First let me unveil the mother of all countdown calendars. 3 trips ago, I made this little beauty myself which took at least 20 hours out of my life. Back then the countdown started at day 225 so that is how many clips I did. All are hand-painted by me, some with hidden Mickey’s on them. Then I punched 225 Mickey heads and then sparkle painted all the numbers. The center board is foam board and cardboard for the large Mickey head for those crazy enough to make one. We usually decorate the center piece but I kinda like it plain so I don’t have to make a new one every year so this year it is plain (I know the horror.) This year, I had to replace 5 heads since they got bent in storage, not bad, not bad. The kids love taking off the clips and getting one day closer!

Thanks to the obsession that is Disboards, I have discovered a beauty of a thread on themed Disney parties. Well I thought with the wheels turning, lets throw a Disney planning party for when we plan our ADRs So after we were done getting ready for Thomas and were not so patiently waiting for the others to get there, me and the kids did some decorating and ran to the store for some provisions. I was searching for the elusive Mickey shaped burgers but was unsuccessful! Oh well, I think I did ok. We decorated before we left so after our return from Sodor, I mean Strasburg, we were able to dive into a Disney feast.

We also had regular burgers (POO), pretzels and Hannah Montana Mac and Cheese.
After our meal, the men folk took naps and Roseanna, Russell, Rara and I played a Disney Trivia Game. Note to self, the kid questions are obviously too easy since Roseanna beat ME, the Disney queen. I might have to have her play the adult version or cut back on the Disney intake (NAH, that would be cruel.)
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9d837b3127ccec7346814998300000040O08AcNmjZwzcNQ e3nwc/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
AND FOR THE BEST PICTURE OF THE WHOLE NIGHT! (Rara, you may want to close your eyes from the embarrassment of it all.)
This is Rara’s impression of the Cave of Wonders for Roseanna. I almost wet my pants, I laughed until I almost cried.

We liked this theme night so much, we are going to try to do one once a month to stay in the Disney mood----like we would ever not be in the Disney mood HA!
UP NEXT: We decided on our ADRs, now the waiting game until Saturday

The main reason for our Disney Celebration was to plan out our ADRs and it went very smoothly. We always try at least one place new on a trip and everyone gets a pick at a favorite restaurant. Just to be fair to everyone. I wouldn’t want to be labeled a Disney Dictator or anything.
So there we sat and went around the table and everyone spouted off what their hearts desire was:
Rara = Crystal Palace (no surprise there! She hunts Eeyore like Indiana Jones looking for
the Holy Grail---it is her sole existence in life!)
Papa = Cape May Café (after we dined there last trip and DH bragged about all the great seafood, this was a must for him) I still can’t believe, that Papa didn’t go on that trip with us!
Roseanna = Chef Mickey’s (I was very surprised that she didn’t pick a Princess meal ) I am also counting this for Russell because he said he wanted to see Mickey, so that counts right?
DH = Le Cellier (steak, YUM! Truly a man pick and a must on all our trips)
ME = Ohana Breakfast (I have wanted to do this for ages and it has never fit in so this time it is a must!)
The others that made the cut include: Yak and Yeti (loved it last time and DH wants Papa to try the duck); Sci Fi (every one agreed it is high time we try this!); Boatwrights (though mixed reviews, we decided to give it a try); Spirit of Aloha (also mixed reviews but decided we wanted to try it once.)
So there you have it, OUR LIST! Now I just have to monitor the online booking system all week like a soldier on a reconnaissance mission and decide whether it is best to try that 1st which I am thinking and then call at 7 if I don’t have everything yet. I just hope this stays on the down low until I am able to book on Saturday. I have some really hard ADRs to obtain and I am hoping that victory will be mine!

Not planning on it.
Maybe I did it wrong, but doesn't look like you can do 90+10 online. Is that wrong?
Anyway, my sister is all set to get up and call at 6am(7EST) and get everything booked that way.

My dreams may be realized this October! DH and I have always talked about doing a just us trip since we had to cancel our honeymoon.
Well since I am a stay at home mom, money is REALLY tight and we do major budgeting to be able to make it to Disney every year! This summer DH got a weekend job with some buddies setting up bounce houses and has really been making good money---one weekend paid off our family trip this year! I am also doing my sewing jobs, on a break since I am getting ready to be beach bound but will be listing like crazy when I get back to maybe make a few hundred more to squirrel away for Disney, Roseanna’s birthday and Christmas. We live pay check to paycheck but these extra jobs have been helping a lot. Our September trip is paid for a lot early then I thought it would be and I keep having this tugging at my heart that this may be the right year for me and DH. The stars are starting to align for us!
First DH is military so we would qualify for the free ticket for him and the $99 5 day pass for me! So for $99 we would have our tickets!
Next Disney is also offering military 40% off rooms this year so we could stay at a Value for about $215 for 3 nights.
Our anniversary is on Monday October 19th and DH always has off Mondays from work so he would only need to take Friday off for us to get 4 days in Disney. His boss will need to front him 2 hours of leave (fingers crossed he says yes)
Since we will just be back from Disney for about 2 weeks, I feel like the guilt of leaving the kids behind will be minimal and since we will have just eaten at all our fav restaurants on the dining plan, we could do mostly counter service on this trip to save more $.
I checked airfare last night and I can get Arirtran flights for 49 each way so about $230. And since Airtran takes Paypal, I could pay the tickets now since I have more than that in my account right now.
So for about $550 we could do Disney for 4 days just the two of us! DH is supposed to talk to his boss today and let me know but it looks hopeful! DH could easily pay for the rest of the cost of the trip in just one day at his extra job so it is really possible!
I don’t know if we will ever have this opportunity again for years because the military deal is so sweet and perfect for a weekend trip like this. It wouldn’t have worked for the family trip because we like to have at least 7 park days. Keep your fingers crossed with me and I will let you know what happens!

Thought I would have fun with ya and ask your opinions. Friday, they are having a fther son look alike contest. Now I think as does most people we come in contact with think that Russell is the spitting image of Mark. The 1st prize is $500 gift card to the mall. I am going to dress them alike too. Do you think we have a chance? This is not the best pic but I just snapped it quick.

Yeah -- I'd say you have a shot. Plenty of kids whose resemblance to parents are only somewhat....but from kid to adult, there is still a good "identicalness" between those 2.

I have even had a friend ask if she could borrow it when they take thier kids for the 1st time next year. So next year, my countdown my be in a new home for the year and I will have to come up with something different for us.

My alarm went off promptly at 5:45 this morning. I popped up with visisons of Mickey bars still dancing in my head, brushed my teeth and went and logged onto the computer primed to make my first adr, Ohana breakfast. I went onto the Disney Dining Site and came to surf the DIS and converse with my fellow comrades in ADR making. I met and spoke with DAWN68PA who lives near me :wave2: (it is so neat to meet people that are close to you. I am amused by the simple things, But I digress) All the while, I was switching over and checking to see if the dining system came up. After hitting refresh for the millionth time, 3 minutes before 6, the date came up. I put my ressie # and phone in and pulled up my DISNEY-made ressie and that is when my dancing banana was samshed to smithereens :mad::badpc: It would not bring up +10 days. After a few choice words and logging in and out and everything I could think of, I checked back on the DIS and found I was not alone! Many others were having the same issues, so there we sat in the same sinking NO ADR FOR US ship waiting for that fateful hour of 7:00 :boat:.
About 6:45, I woke up MIL (she stayed last night to watch the kids for me today) We split the hard to get ressies up and started calling at 5 of 7. Finally, I heard those magic welcome to disney dining words :wizard: and started hitting 0 like a possessed person. MIL was using her cell and lost the call :scared1: I got through and waited in que for less than 30 seconds to the slowest moving CM ever  This was not my day! She took forever to confirm my info and the ressie info. MIL informed me that the hold time was already 30 minutes. I told her that I would just do them all. I actually did very well considering that my CM (although super nice) had obviously skipped her morning coffee this morning and was moving at a snail's pace. The only thing that caused a problem was that I needed a party of 9 for Le Cellier for dinner with Dale. I was not able to get dinner and had to settle for lunch. Off the phone at 7:13.
Well after I got off the phone, the LC ressie started to bother me. I checked the menu on All Ears and it only had 4 entree options for lunch. I decided to call back and see if I could get a party of 6 (Dale's window to call starts tomorrow and I knew he would be ok if I couldn't get it). On hold for 32 minutes and got a very friendly and coffee driven CM (LOVE THE COFFEE DRIVEN CMS!) but alas it was not to be.
I got off the phone feeling very defeated and reassesed my itinerary to see if I could try a different day. Well on 9/26 we had decided to drink and graze our way around the FWF :drinking1 I thought that if we got to FWF early we would still be hungry enough to eat dinner at LC. Back on hold for 24 minutes this time. Well I got through to a WONDERFUL, pixie dust filled CM :wizard: pixiedust: (the only thing better than a Coffee driven Cm is a pixie dust filled one!) She was hopeful and I couldn't help but smile while she happily check availability. VICTORY!!!!!!! There was a ressie with my name on it for 6! pixiedust: I swear she was filled with the magic dust! pixiedust:
So without futher ado, here are our ressies!
9/18 No meal
9/19 Crystal Palace 5:40 (wanted 5:30)

So I will give you a peek into all of our previous trips. I decided to start with last years and work back since those photos are easier to access. This trip was so special because DH had been in Iraq for a year and we were in desperate need of a family vacation to celebrate his safe homecoming. We were originally booked for September with free dining and had the trip mostly paid for. DH called from Iraq and told us his homecoming date was getting pushed back. I had to call Disney and cancel the trip and dining ressies. I literally cried while I was on the phone doing that.. Then I got some pixie dust, free dining in November! DDs birthday was November 13th and Mark would be home and still be on paid leave! So I called and booked our family trip for Dds birthday. To make it more special, we decided to keep it a secret from DD. As an extra surprise Rara decided she was going to come because she couldn’t miss Roseanna’s birthday in Disney! Papa was not going to come because it would have been too much $ since they just went with SIL to celebrate her college graduation.
We kept Disney a secret until her party, a week before we left. We had an Alice in Wonderland tea party! DH and I got a card that you could record and so when she opened it it said surprise, we’re going to Disney World for your Birthday! She was so shocked, I almost thought she wasn’t excited. She was so quite! It was so cute to she her that overwhelmed. We still didn’t tell her that Rara was going (they are thick as thieves so that was a special treat for later) Here are some pics from her birthday party.

Well, we waited until the day we were leaving to tell Roseanna that Rara was coming with us. We stopped at their house because they were going to use their car for the trip (yes we drove!). Here is Rara telling Roseanna that she was coming with us

We made it to Disney in one day and were ready to get the Disney Party Started. We stayed at Pop. When we arrived the FWF was still going on so Epcot was our 1st stop of the trip! We met up with Dale and his wife Brianna to have a few drinks (yes they were there for that trip but no drink for Briana because she was preggers with baby #2) Roseanna got her face painted that day and loved it. We will be doing that again! Here are shots from that day.

Day two was spent at Animal Kingdom. We met up with Dale again today. He was obsessed with Dino land and wining the stuffies. He won one for both Roseanna and Russell. Since this was Dale’s 1st trip, we introduced him to EE. He screamed like a little girl and was proud of it he said. We ate at Yak and Yeti and were upstairs, it was beautiful. We were lucky enough to be there during parade time so the kids got to watch the parade from up there. It was so cool! They also brought Roseanna a birthday cupcake out. Mark and Dale braved Kali and lost!

That night, we went to the Christmas Party. We had fun and Mark tried on Roseanna’s fuzzy cuffs which he looked very manly in. The kids were so tired and Russell didn’t make it through the night. He literally fell asleep eating a cookie and I had to pry open his mouth to take a piece out so he couldn’t choke on it. The castle looked great decorated in all the icicle lights.

Next day we hit the studios and had a character filled day! We went and hit the Buzz meet and greet line. I love the que! The themeing is so cool and lots of photo ops! Russ was in awe of his “hero” and not quite sure what to make of the real life version. Every time we saw a character, Russell was shy and then when we were leaving, he would wave and scream BYE! We went to meet Lightning McQueen or Kachow as he is known in our house. Russell was scared when he revved his engine. We attended Block Party Bash, which was very cool! Roseanna got picked to be a part of the party and so started the theme where she would get picked and then stand there helplessly lost! Russell feed Rara his dessert which he shoved straight down her throat.

We went on IASW and Roseanna was whipping around so fast to take pictures with her camera that I thought her head would fall off. She tried to take pictures of every scene!

We went to BBB to have Roseanna transformed into Cinderella. They sprinkled DH with Pixie Dust! She was so cute going down Main Street. She said to me that she hoped that someone would ask for her autograph! She did sign her brother’s book! We made our way to the monorail, where we go to ride upfront to the GF for our dinner at 1900 Park Fare with Cindy! Anastasia took a liking to DH and saying “Mom I want this one!” She danced with him too! I had a mini castle cake made for Roseanna and she loved it! After dinner we went an caught spectro, then back to the hotel where Roseanna passed out after a fun filled birthday! She got a card and balloons from Snow White in the room.

The next morning, after much needed princess sleep, we headed to Epcot. We explored the countries and met characters. The beast danced with Roseanna. Dopey signed Russell’s autograph book “to sleepy from dopey” since he was passed out when we met them. Roseanna played hop scotch in England and had so much fun! I love to stop for the little things and want to do more of that on this trip.

On our last day at the parks, we made rope drop at MK! The conductor from the train came down and we were chatting with him. He gave Roseanna an honorary conductor card to use later in the day to be a guest conductor. In true Roseanna fashion, she (you guessed it!) she just stood there. We went to see the fairies, like a good mommy I stood in line waiting for rope drop there while everyone else rose some rides in fantasyland. We were able to see the fairies with less then a 15 minute wait! YEAH MOMMY! Then it was time to head home. :sad1:

Thanks a bunch! I am very happy that the ADRs process is over. i always sweat that. This morning, I had butterflys in my tummy and my palms were sweating. i am wierd, I know :)

Thanks! Gotta keep the fans interested until the "real deal" trip report in September. I am going to keep going back in time with previous trips until we get to the one this year! They will all be brief overviews like this one. Unfortunatly, many memories I am sure have faded on early trips. That is why I like the idea of writing a TR so I will rememer all the cute thisngs my kids did and all the magical moments we all shared.

Ok! I was just going to sign in read page one and come back later for the rest. I COULD NOT DO IT!:rotfl: I have just sat here and read the entire report. My kids keep calling me but they just had to wait (the older two; I only move w/o thought for my DSalmost 3).
First, your family is beautiful. Your children are gorgeous...
I love the matching outfits and how they match to the day of the adventure.
I wish I could sew like that:wizard:...
The day spent with Thomas looked like soooo much fun; my little one would love something like that...he likes trains so much that he has converted all his 18 wheeler trucks into trains and we cannot say any different:rotfl:.
CONGRATULATIONS! on the adult only trip!! I understand how you feel about the resorts (value vs. others) we feel that way about the rooms also. Just not there long enough--although I plan to go back to the moderate next trip also.
Your ADR's came out great! Congrats on that! we have never done a food trip but we are thinking of doing that next go round.
Oh! and Roxanna's BBB day --she came out BEAUTIFUL!!!princess: I have seen other dis's pics and their girls are beautiful but she really conveyed the beauty of a princess!!!
Looking forward to more of your PTR--since my trip in May I'm hooked on PTR's waiting my turn until it gets closer to next year. Like you I'm a SAHM but I don't have any talents to sell to find Disney money for and w/one child in college and one in HS money is really pay check to pay check. My little bit I get for watching two little girls is really for extras on a weekly basis. We plan an annual vacation based on tax returns (we have more taken out of DH's check --I know not the best way to save money but it works for us) and this year will be our first w/only one child credit:upsidedow.

I am glad that I held your attention :) I was worried that I would have no followers when I started thsi thing so it is good to know that I am not a bore:rotfl:
Thanks so much for your wonderful compliments! I swear Roseanna could not have looked more beautful on her birthday, it was so perfect and a memory taht I will cherish always! She was so full of herself and believed taht she WAS a princess that day. A photopass guy actually stopped me on main street and said she is so beautiful, can I photograph her? Of course this added to Roseanna's ego for the day :) She deserved it though and that is what Disney is all about!
I am also hooked on PTRs! I love them and TR of course. Not many people understand the obsession I have with them, glad you can relate. We also usually use tax returns for our trip so I understand. It is better than doing it on credit! Glad you are following along!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be leaving tomorrow night for the beach and won't be back until July 6th. I will then be able to supply you with a fabulous beach mini trippie. It should be interesting. I am leaving tomorrow night after tee-ball, spending 3 days with my parents (they are at the beach house now) then my girlfriends and thier kids are coming and stying for 5 days. We always do a girls and kid only trip (this is the 3rd year) and have a blast. This year it will be 7 kids :scared1: since my one friend had twins last year. Then DH is coming down and we will spend 4 days together and then come home.
I may try to squeeze in another update later or in the am, depends on how much packing I can get done. :)

Thanks Jackie. Tese trips always have "unique" moments and should make for a good read. The first trip we too my one friend's DD was potty training and would take off her diaper and pee anywhere. After a few times on the carpet, we had to hold her down and duct tape the diaper on :rotfl: I am so surprised a neighbor didn't call the police she was screaming so loud. And yes we have pictures to show her of her duct taped bum to show her when she is a teen. We are so mean! :lmao:

Hey, I followed the link in your siggie from the Disboutique thread. I hope you don't mind if I read along! You have a beautiful family. I too am a stay-at-home mom. I see that you are another one that is able to help fund Disney trips selling customs. I've considered that, but I'm not confident enough in my seamstressing, yet. Your creations are amazing! Great report so far! :thumbsup2 We leave in 2 weeks for our trip & I couldn't be more excited! LOL We are taking our baby girl on her first trip - she'll be about 10 1/2 months old. :goodvibes We moved our trip up since my husband got word he is deploying overseas at the end of August. We threw the trip together in a weekend after finding out a few weeks ago he'd be leaving. Your trip after your hubby returned from his deployment sounded wonderful! I'm hoping to plan something similar for when my hubby returns. :)
Oh, forgot to mention - I found your link on the Disboutiquers thread! I've been making Maddie a few outfits for our upcoming trip - I just love all your outfits!! SO cute!! :)

I have been lurking and enjoying your PTR and mini-trip reports, but I had to post and share this with you. My son is 5, and he saw the pictures of your daughter and said, "She's cute, Mom." Yesterday and today he asked me to go on the Disney boards so he could see the princess. Now he didn't mean any of the Disney princesses. No, he means your daughter. Today he asked me if he could maybe go buy a princess toyu or something so he could give it to her when he goes to Disney - "Just in case they are there, Mom."
Just thought you'd enjoy the cute story!
By the way, congratulations on your adult only trip! I think that sounds great! Your wedding and honeymoon story is very sweet. I hope it is as much of a dream vacation as you have imagined!

I am so sorry I have been MIA. We have been having alot of problems around here lately (unexpected expenses) and I am trying to sew my little heart out to make sure we still have the $ to go on our trip  I am so worried we will have to cancle the trip that I have not been feeling very disneyish lately. I am less then 50 days away and I have not made a single outfit yet----that is so not me.
I am pretty sure that we will cancle our alone trip and lose the $ for our flights but that's ok. Someday we will get to do it. I don't have to cancle util it gets a little closer so I am leaving it for now and waiting and seeing what happens.

As promised, I am going to give you a mini Tr of our trip to the beach. Better late then never I always say!
The 1st leg of our trip was spent with my parenst who were already down there. We had 3 fun-filled days with them. One of the biggest highlights of our time was going on a "REAL" pirate ship! My dad coheorts with pirates ya know. HE grew up with the captain so the kids go extra special treatment. My little buccaneer was not in a pirate mood and hid his face from the crew the whole time. My normally shy pirate princess took a liking to cremate Ducky.

We were then told the story of treasure stealing scallywags and how they snactched part of our map. The kids had to search for the X on the deck map but alas no X since that part of the directions had been STOLEN!

Our story time was rudely interrupeted when we can across the treasure stealing scallywags and a heated battle ensued. There was a very strong warning at the begining of the trip that you WILL get wet on this ride :) THEY WERE NOT KIDDING!!!!!! You will get soaked on this ride :lmao: Once the water cannons started going off, Russell didn't know which direction to run 1st. I tried to position him for the least amount of water possible running from side to side on the ship while mom, Roseanna and the rest of the crew fought back with the cannons. The scurvy pirates realy liked me though and made sure to get me SOAKED!!!!!! We all got so wet but it was a blast!!!!!!!

After heated battle, they surrendered and we got the treasure!!!!!! The kids got thier booty and then played limbo on the ride back to port. Russell finally started coming around and went to look out at the water.

Oh my goodness, that pirate thing sounds so fun. Here's to hoping everything works out for you with your trip. Also, are you the gal that posted the sailor dress for your daughter on the disboutique, recently? Your sewing really is incredible! That dress has been so stuck in my head. It was just gorgeous. I hope that that was you, and I'm not putting my foot in my mouth, here.

It was so fun! I had not laughed that hard in a long time and I felt like a kid when I did get one little chance to shoot a cannon. There was one free so I left poor Russell by himself to hide from the water for a minute so that I could have some fun. Such a mean mommy!

Thanks a lot! My disney hating parents ar like so what cancle the trip, you go every year, blah, blah, blah but it is so hard because DH might be deployed again in January so I REALLY don't want to cancel the family trip. I am trying to sew a TON to build $ back up. My posts may be a bit sporatic so that way I can sew as much as possible in the next few weeks.

Thanks for the magic dust! Tink never lets people down and I hope she spreads some magic to this family. If we can't go it won't be the end of the world because we have great memories and know we will go again but like I said with a deployment looming, I really want to try to go.

You taught yourself to sew! That's a really great dress! I found a sewing machine in the attic of the house we moved into a couple years ago. It's still in the box since I don't sew. Maybe I could actually learn and put it to use. My daughter wants to learn. Maybe we can learn together.

I suggest getting patterns from youcanmakethis dot com They have picture by picture instrustions on how to make the items. that is mostly how I learned. I think the best pattern to start with is the easy fit pants by carla C. Her patterns are the best and she makes it so easy to understand.
You can do it! It is so much fun! I love seeing my kids in my creations.

I love that countdown calendar....and that you can reuse it! Did you paint the clothespins with acrylic paints? I can see stripes and dots on some, but what other designs were on them? How did you hold the pieces of the styrofoam cardboard together with?
I think I may be crazy enough to try and make one of our own because I love it so much, and it would make it so much more fun for my youngest before he gets too old. :(

Although this is Nikki's TR, I will tell you I am her DMIL. I went there with lots of junk to sell on Saturday and it was a bust! Apparently the next town was having a big town day so there were very few people that stopped(5 to be exact). I sold $3.50!! My DH had a cow that we had to pack everything up and take it home because I am determined not to throw it away. But we got to spend alot of time with the grandkids and the dog while Nikki sewed.

Sorry, Nikki...I'm glad DMIL was able to spend time with the children and you were able to get some sewing done...
Gwendolyn didn't do great but a little better than $3.50. Hope next one is better.

I am sending pixie dust your way for some luck, pixiedust:I hate to see you have to cancel, the adult trips are much needed. I understand the $ situation, we are in the same boat, with our trip planned for the 26th of Sept. things just look really dim at times. But I know Disney and my DH will make it happen if any way possible.:yay:
