I have a dogsitter set up for a small trip we are taking this summer but wanted to look into a kennel in case she backs out.
Can anyone recommend one in or around Oakville. I drive past Wag-a-Way on trafalgar and wonder what they're like?
Any recommendations or advice?

Our dog does not get along with other animals. I have been using http://www.royalpetshotel.com/ but they are all the way out in Barrie and since I live in Etobicoke Milton is much better. Any feedback on how they allow dogs to interact, if at all?

They have therown run attached to their kennel usually 5 ft by 20 ft. You can add on whatever you like......they do have a quiet yard time for just your dog is you want. The add ons are extra. Check out the website.
I am very picky on kennels and these people are wonderful and very caring.

Thanks for the info. Will definitely check them out. Unlucky for me my next trip will not be until February/March. I guess the good thing if I use them is that I can drop the dog off on the way to the Buffalo airport!

Sadly I no longer have a dog :sad1: Just my 2 kitties and I have a girl that petsits for me when needed. I pass Wag-a-way often though. I have always found for whatever reason the cat facilities to be superior to the dog accomodations, not sure why that is?

I'll cast another vote for Holly's Pride. We have been using them for four years two or three times per year. The have flat boarding fees with additional add ons or there are packages available. They are great (really kind) with the dogs and this year we have some medications that they will have to give one of our dogs. I have no worries about leaving him, even with the medication.

My brother uses Holly's pride also and has been happy with them. We are North of you so use Diamond in the Ruff for the dog.
Now if only I could find somewhere for our rabbit to go we would be set!! Rabbits are only supposed to live 6-8 years and my darn rabbit is 9.5yo - he obviously didn't get the memo!! Note to self.... do NOT get any more small rodent type pets for 'the kids'.

I have used 3 or 4 different kennels over the years and was not happy with any of them so we kept looking. About 15 years ago we were told about Holly's pride in Burlington. We have not been to another place sence with any of our animals. It's like a spa for animals not a kennel. We started using them when they were out in the country now it's sorounded by houses. My advice is to go look at the facility you wont regret the drive to look at it. FOr those with cats. The cat room has a fire place and a huge fish tank. The place is awesome. They treat your animals like royality. Our dogs love it. They get excited when we pull into there driveway. They get spoiled rotten. I cant say enough good things about them.

They made all the new home owners sign somthing saying we were here first dont complain about the noise. But from what i can tell the neighbours dont mind them at all.
