Very cute idea on the cake topper. It's going to be very unique. That is one thing I have struggled with is cake toppers. I can never find one I like. I love how it is going to be perfect for you two. It's a shame she didn't have the molds for the first pair.

Love those cakes. To be honest with you, when I first glanced at it, I didn't notice it had been changed!

Dresses, I love all of your choices. You should try on a halter neck, because I didn't think I would look good in one and like 2 of my top choices were halter necks and looked a lot better than I thought they would! I actually think I like the first dress the best!

Yes, the topper is way too perfect for us, I am always in fantasy land, therefore the unicorn, and DH is the more home-bound down to Earth one, but he is silly and playful in a cat kind of way, plus we have cats as pets too!

Not sure if you've considered it, but I'll tell you what I'm doing for my wedding as far as chair sashes go. I was going to alternate between the teal and purple for each chair but I was worried it would be too busy. So instead, I'm alternating by table. So one will be all purple sashes, and the next teal, etc. :idea: I think either way it would look nice with your colors though, honestly!

Sounds like a great list of things to keep in mind. I totally agree with you on the unassigned tables, my friend's wedding was like that and it was just really confusing.

I vote for trying the GF, we LOVED AKL until we stayed at the GF, and that is our new favorite. We still do love AKL, but being on the monorail is great and at the GF was the first time I've stayed at a Disney resort and really wanted to spend more time at the resort than the parks!

Thanks! I just love them, love their style, etc, can't wait to meet them and work with them, I know it is going to be a total blast!

The dress was just perfect for me, simple, yet has a very elegant and wow factor to it. I didn't wait to overwhelm myself with details or fabric, I am more of a tomboy in real life (I rarely wear skirts... ok I don't really own skirts, just formal dresses I seldom wear), so this falls right in between what I would do.

It is also rather lightweight, a zip up and easy to move in even with the train!

DH loved it too, he said it was just too cute to see me get teary eyed and emotional, he had a lot of fun dress shopping with just the two of us, it was so much fun and so romantic at the same time. Plus he took care of the transaction part of the deal so I could enjoy the moment without missing a beat paying for the dress and asking about cost of alterations, etc etc etc while I changed. He later told me on the way home and I was very pleasantly surprised.

Isn't he the most amazing DH ever? He has been watching "Say Yes to the Dress" with me for quite some time so he knew aaall the right questions to ask, he was such a wonderful help.



It's definitely important to be comfortable! I tried on one dress that weighed a ton and even though it was really beautiful I knew I would just be exhausted lugging it around. :laughing:

In other great news, DH booked us a trip to WDW for my b-day during the first week of March. It will be my 30th, so I am very excited to celebrate it at WDW. Last year we went on an incredible Disney cruise to the Virgin Islands, we got an amazing rate, but this year we are keeping costs down and doing it a little bit more low key in anticipation for the VR.

Still, DH and I decided to make ressies for CRT to have dinner on my actual b-day. I have never eaten there and it has always been something I wanted to do, so I am super pumped. :cool1:

I have also contacted our photographers to check their schedule and see if they could fit us in for engagement shots then sometime. I had originally scheduled them for September, but I figured the sooner the better. We will see.

I am debating about having a make up trial with Patricia soooo early in advance for the engagement shots though. I could do my own make up, but having professionally done hair and make up for the photos might help me get an idea of what it all will look like in the end. I probably will end up doing it. What do you guys think?

I hope our photogs aren't too over-scheduled then, can't wait to meet them!

I think I have finally decided what my bouquet will look like. I saw something I really liked on a magazine so I made a mock up on silks to hold and give me an scale idea. I will take some pics later and show them to you guys. They are all lilies of the valley, which are one of my all time favorite flowers.

For the table names we have decided on movies and books we have watched over the years that have an special meaning to us and draw parallels to our 10 years together. I have already a very good idea of how to take the movie title treatment from the original movie posters or book covers (we both share books all the time) and make the table cards, then on the back we will write a small sentence or two describing why the movie or book are important to us etc.

DH has taken the task of making the program fans from the list. They won't be Mickey shaped, but will have a fun twist to them, maybe a word search or mad libs :rotfl:

My weight loss is going so well, I love my EA Active for the wii. DH is getting so in shape he is trim by nature so he is gaining muscle definition while he works out along with me :love:

My goal is to get a pretty new dress I look great in for my birthday dinner at CRT. I soooo can't wait!

Also I had my mid-year review at work and it was outstanding. They are very very happy with my performance, so I am so excited! I really love my job and my team!

I know the date thing is really stressful and annoying, but don't worry. I found it really hard too but this is Disney's system and it has worked for other brides and will for you too. ;) I also booked all vendors before getting confirmation and most understand the way Disney works, so I'm sure if you had to change something they could work it out with you.

The worst is getting the ceremony and then waiting the 4 months before they will confirm your reception location. :rolleyes1 but that will be okay too and I'm sure they'd give you a heads up if a big convention wanted the space.

I'm a bit undecided on having everything sorted heaps before the wedding, the last thing I'd want to happen is for the last month to feel like it's taking years! :laughing: I figure if I haven't organised something important until right before the wedding it will make me really busy and the time will fly!

Really? Do tell all about it! I have never had a manicure, (yes I am a total tomboy :lmao:) so it will be quite the experience.
I am trying to get my first mani soon to start getting used to it and have my nails in good condition for the wedding.


I had a pedicure and so did my mum. We sat next to each other so were able to chat all the way through and the 2 CMs were really funny and chatty as well.

Thanks guys! It really feels like the world has been lifted right off my shoulders, we went out and treated ourselves to some nice Chinese to celebrate :rotfl2: we even decided to book a spot for the traditional Chinese New Year dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant for this weekend, it will be a Valentine's date of sorts :flower3:

I know!!! He is such a goof! What's worse his text messages came with a couple of minutes delay in between, so I had two minutes to freak the heck out and start feeling terrible. So bad! But then when it was all cleared it was funny :laughing: I am easygoing like that, I am a bridezilla fail FAIL! :rotfl2:



Not yet, we have to wait til June because of the very slight possibility of a conference deciding they want to suddenly rent the entire GF and do something there. The good news is that it very rarely happens, I have been told about just 5 out of 500 weddings get pushed out a year. Plus Saturdays are not big on conference days, at least none that I have gone to and I have gone to quite a few, so I am pretty confident it will work out, and even if it doesn't, we'll figure something out as long as we have the WP.

I just didn't want to move to an outside location and then worry and stress about the weather or have to move to a park location and not be able to have my photogs.

I got a confirmation e-mail with all my first choice on times and venues :yay:

So right now we have scheduled:

Disney’s Wedding Pavilion 2:00-3:30

Wedding Pre-Reception 3:30pm -4:30pm Whitehall Room & Patio

Wedding Reception 4:30pm - 8:30pm St Augustine C&D

Dessert Party 8:30pm - 9:30pm Sago Cay Pointe

We might have to scoot the dessert party up since I see the fireworks are now starting at 8. But we will see how it goes next year. Either way, I couldn't be more pleased. That is my idea of a perfect day.

I can't believe we have been speaking to our consultant once a month religiously since August! :rotfl2: Wow! How time flies!

I finalized the STD's today, made some changes from the original design, plus I had to try and cram the info into one side since they are bilingual STD's, one side English, another Spanish. Now that we have a confirmation I feel more comfortable posting them again :thumbsup2 (names and addresses have been changed to protect the insane couple and keep secret surprises from guests!) :lmao:

We are also working in tandem on our website, DH is getting the coding done while I am doing all the writing for it.
