My family and I are planning on visiting DLP in August for 2 days. We're planning on staying at Hotel D'Elyses which will get us EMH. I could save about 30% by buying single day Francilien passes (vs single day Discover Tickets). However, would not want to do this if there will be any problems with either Fastpasses or EMH if using a Francilien ticket.

Anyone have any experience using a Francilien ticket? One more thing, none of us speak much French. Will it be difficult to navigate DLP with English only?

Merci! :worship:

The Francilien pass is an annual pass with blackout days, which cannot be used on days 2 & 3. I'm not sure which tickets you are asking about.
I'm also unsure that you get EMH on that hotel, hopefully someone else will know the answer to that one. However the kind of ticket you get doesn't affect fastpasses, and you don't actually need to speak any French in DLRP although it's obviously courteous to use the basics if you can.

You do get EMH if staying at the L'Elysee hotel - its the only associated hotel which gives you this. You need to take your hotel room card with you to the parks (it has the name of the hotel on it, and your stay duration). This is what will give you access to the park for EMH.

I'm not sure which tickets you are talking about, single day Francillien passes? I'm afraid I don't know what that means. As far as I'm aware, like britchic4, a Francillien is an annual pass, not a day ticket :confused3.

Any valid park ticket for DLRP will allow you fastpass tickets at the rides which can be fastpassed.

Thanks, all. The ticket I am considering is a single-day version of the Francilien, available from the FNAC store. Other previous posters have said that the ticket you get cannot fit in the FastPass kiosks, and that a CM needs to give you a substitute card in order to get FastPasses.

There is a Francilien day ticket which is available in various shops and ticket outlets in the Paris area. It is primarily intended for locals and needs to be purchased at least five days before use. There also appears to be a 2 day Francilien available but on this there must be at least seven days between the two visits.
Details are available (in French) on the France Billet web site - http://www.francebillet.com/place-spectacle/recherche/th-1078799372673614132-Parc---Spectacle-en-plein-air.htm#a1244916234359
