I rec'd a kitchen package today from Patsy, mommytotwo. :cool1:
First: a dual tasting spoon. Very interesting. I have never seen one! It's a long twisted dual spoon, one on each end for tasting while cooking.
Second, another interesting gadget-- swiveling measuring spoons. Compact and very durable. :thumbsup2 Never seem to have too many measuring spoons.
And a candy and deep fry thermometer set. And I don't have either. I am sure I will find use for these. I have been thinking about trying my hand at candy. (And you may want one of these for what I sent. :lmao: )

Also got the 5 recipes. I think I may make the pineapple squares this weekend. :3dglasses
I am not big on salmon, but I think I will try the Soy Ginger Glazed Salmon recipe. Sounds easy and good.
All the others sound yummy too, esp the Garlic Potatoes.... :yay:

I have a similar kit that I bought at an on line store some months back. Same company, just slightly different kit. Thought it was fun, different and something you could make with the kids. :cutie:
I just cooked mine up in a small fryer.

My other package should have arrived at the other destination. Just figuring they have not had a chance yet this week to post. :)

BTW -- I am making the chili tomorrow. Good stuff. :) (And easy.)

I noted in my exchange we had just bought a gas grill. So I was very happy to see some grill gadgets.

Basting mop (Very interesting. Never even heard of this before.)
100 bamboo skewers. Very nice as I also like to use my electric fondue pot, and these will work well with that too. (One of those things I always mean to buy but never remember to.)

An inspirational magnet that reads "smile" (Always a good reminder.)
A kitchen towel (And I have been tossing some of my old ones. Good timing.)

I'm willing to stay at home for one more mailing day to see if it arrives, but after that I have to make my priority the cleaning and painting of the house we are getting possession of as of July 1st. I have 9 areas of the house to paint, and have to get it started asap, otherwise it's going to take alot longer to move into it:scared1:. So when it arrives, it arrives, but from thurs on I have to make the priority the cleaning and painting of the new house. But will let everyone know when I receive it. Thanks for your understanding!

Just to let everyone know that I received my kitchen exchange package from Chris today. I received a flag cookie cutter, an Onion Chilli salt grinder (which I'm really looking forward to trying), a really cute plastic Mickey Mouse head plate, and finally a Sushi and Japanese cook book. I'm really eager to try out some of the recipes. Thanks for Chris for all the goodies, and I'll look forward to using them in the new house.
