Our local TA quoted prices to fly to MCO so much higher than I found on expedia and then I have to add $25 per ticket service charge....Expedia has a cheaper flight and better times....is it too good to be true? Anyone ever booked through Expedia that would give your input?
thanks

I just used Orbitz to book 4 tickets to Orlando for Dec.
I got a great deal for a non stop flight, but after I booked I found something cheaper at cheaptickets.com for the same flight.
So you need to look around at all the ticket sites for the best deals...
The tickets arrived 2 day Fedex (I think I had to pay extra for paper tickets ) no problems.....
I also got seat assignments .......

I use Expedia a lot, I also use the airlines pages directly. We have not booked through a travel agent for 3 years, always booking on the web. What I like about Expedia is they keep you up to date on any changes to your itinerary and they also email you prior to going with road construction, hotel and events updates.

I always check several web sites, such as expedia, the airline sites, orbitz, and travel now to name a few. I think that now that the comissions have been cut to TAs, you can get much better deals on the web sites. I would go ahead and give it a try. I haven't experienced any problems in the last couple of years that i have been purchasing airfare via the web.

I would use Expedia or Orbitz to find the best fare and then book directly through the airline's website...no "middle man" that way and often you get even better deals for booking directly with the airline. No additional service charges either. :D

I use expedia all the time to book flight. Only problem I've had is the non-transferable/no refund policy but I think this applies to all airline tix regardless of where you book.

I've used expedia a bunch of times for airline flts to Savannah and Orlando, Great service and the etickets are so conveinent as long as you have no troubles. Hard to get other flts/airlines if you don't have a real paper ticket.
You will find thou that the ticket reservation sites of the airlines are reducing the fares of even expedia. Delta gave me a 10 % discount on each ticket for my upcoming trip to DCL & WDW in October for booking on the internet.
So I would definitely research your options.
Good Luck

I have never used a TA to book our flights. I either call up the airline myself, or use Expedia to find a flight and then use the Airlines website. Sometimes the airline website is cheaper, sometimes Expedia. I check them all.
Expedia is very good and I have not had any problems, ever.
