View Full Version : OKW - Upgrade question...

We managed to exchange our St. Martin timeshare for a studio at OKW for 9/22-29. However, we really don't want a studio, but would like a 1 bedroom.

Does anyone know if we can upgrade and how it works? Do we call II or OKW directly? Also, any idea about fees? I cannot imagine it is too crowded during that week so we are hoping we can do this without spending a fortune.

Thanks!

You can call OKW at 1-407-827-7700 or fax 1-407-827-7710

but I don't think I ever heard of OKW giving anyone an upgrade (unless you are CRO customer paying cash)

II is the entity which has assigned the accomodation size based on your agreed trade. It is unlikely that OKW will offer an upgrade, but you can always ask. You might want to start by contacting II, since they are the ones who tell DVC what type of villa you have been assigned.

Good luck!

You would need to contact II and retrade, if and only if the unit you exchanged was larger than a studio. You'd likely get charged a second exchange fee. I'm sure you also know there is a $95 resort services fee that you will be charged when you get to OKW, hopefully II notified you of this extra charge. You chances are slim but not zero, keep calling II and see if a larger unit comes available.

I appreciate the feedback. I did not know about the $95 Resort fee - that sort of stinks! I don't mind paying it but the fees are adding up quickly. Cannot wait to go though :jester:

Cannot wait to go though :jester: It's listed right on the listing in the II book for OKW and BW. Even though VWL is listed in the II book, last I heard, II is not taking requests for it yet.
