July Birthday Fall CP...random question

DF has suggested going down for my birthday which is the 3rd of July (I am still really debating because I know the crowds will be crazy). I was wondering since I don't yet work for Disney am I still able to recieve the birthday promotion (get in free on your birthday &/or other options)? I do not want to do anything against the rules. I am just wondering because I signed up for the promotion before I was accept for the college program.

Also has anyone gone around July 4, how bad are the crowds and are the fireworks (wishes) any different than usual?

I think that since technically you aren't a CM yet, you should be fine.

As for crowds, July 4th is VERY crowded. July 3rd was pretty crowded too (though not as bad as the 4th).

No - CMs do not get anything for the birthday celebration. You already get into the parks for free, and you definitely can't get the gift card/fastpass alternative.

But you can wear a button!

Aw man! I was looking forward to that! Even though we get into the parks for free, I just like the idea of getting into the park for my birthday for free!
