Basic DDP...too much AND not enough food?

Our experience (May 28-June 4th) was that the Basic DDP was too much food and too little food...we had too many counter service and desserts and sodas (yes, we used them and stuffed ourselves) and too few snacks and appetizers...also we didn't go to any 2 credit experiences

Overall, I would either do the Deluxe (insane, isn't it?) so I can do 2 credit and avoid counter service and have more snacks....or just pay OOP...next time we will probably do a split stay with Deluxe and then with no plan

Yup, we totally agree. We don`t drink pop (prefer water), and usually share desserts as we have allergies. We also do not care much for CS, especially in the sweltering July heat.

We also miss the appetizer, as we use it to feed our kids, and so the regular DP is just not that great for us. This trip, we are doing a combo DxDP and DP, I think...LOL! We had originally setttled on TIW, but hubby thinks that a combo plan would be better.

We have done Deluxe several times, and it fits our style as we need to eat 3 meals per day, but we normally eat 2 TS meals as we can eat breakfast in room, so a 2 TS meal plan would be the best for us. I suspect Disney won`t do it as many people like us who find the DP isn`t quite enough, just upgrade to the DxDP. Good thinking on their part...but I would like to save the money and have a 2 TS plan available to us.

our experience has been we pay out of pocket with basic and don't use all the snacks with deluxe but it is worth it, we do many 2 credit ressies though
