Grand Cayman question......

Did anyone rent a car on Grand Cayman?
Or is anyone planning to rent a car on Grand Cayman?

We are cruising Sept. 14 ,Western. I have reserved a 9 seater van for Grand Cayman. We have 9 in our party so it worked out great. For the day it will be $54. We are renting from Andys.

I have been to Grand Cayman several times including both cruises and land vacations. I have never rented a car. Taxis are plentiful and can fit larger families. They can be taken to or from any hotel on Seven Mile Beach. We personally walked around and even from the port to the beach although it is a hike.

There is another trick I have done on other islands. I really liked hiring a taxi for an island tour. They take you around and show you the tourist spots as well as others and let you stop for as long as you want. I haven't done it on Grand Caymen, but I am sure it could be done.

catts5, how do I reach Andy's? Do you have a phone number or website or? I like the idea of driving ourselves around to do what we want and see what we would like to see. Our children are grown so it will be just my husband and myself and possibly new friends.

We plan on touring the whole island. There are lots of places we wish to see, so we thought this would be fun. Just remember, driving is on the opposite side!!!
