Well you will be when I'm finished with you! :lmao:

I went May 27-31 - another spontaneous trip to WDW. And scored again. I'm telling you people the nearing check-in finds are fabulous. You have no idea what you're missing. BWV, my lovely BW, in a standard studio. Another underrated find. I adore the front lawn of the BW. So peaceful....

Okay, off track. Kidani. Went twice. I'm that kind of vacationer. Love doing nothing. Hanging out, having a drink, a nap, go to other resorts, read in a hammock. And by the way there must be a lot of wives missing - or maybe they're not really "missing" :lmao:;) - their husbands. Cause during the day when I just do nothing there seems to be a lot of men doing nothing as well. Just an observation.

Kidani.

So here we go.....

I guess I was a tad obsessed with this window. Very obsessed.

It really is beautiful. But I'm like that with windows and architecture. I could just eat spectacular buildings. Yes, I'm strange. :surfweb:

A lovely room to relax and do nothing. A "Lisa" room. :lmao:

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1345.jpg

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1346.jpg

Facing the Savanna

I adore rocking chairs. Sit in them for hours at FW's Trail's End porch, Hall of President's porch, BW's porch, and Tony's "oh the people watching loveliness" porch. You get the picure. I know my porch locations...and hammock locations. Beyond lazy. :lmao: And loving it!:rolleyes1 Well, I do work out too. Just relax in between.

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1363.jpg

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1348.jpg

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1361.jpg

And here is where I'm vulnerable enough to show how strange I really am. I found myself taking pictures in a Kidani washroom. :dance3: Crazy.

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1353.jpg

I took four!!!!!!!

And did have a moment where I thought "uh oh I've really lost it now. I'm in washroom at WDW taking vacation pictures".:lmao:

But I adored that sink. Adored it.

I thought the washroom by the lobby was outstanding.

You're lucky, taking spontaneous trips to WDW. Some of us want to, but don't...you're living our dream! Thanks!!!!

the Kidani washroom - :lmao:No, wait. Crap is it bathroom? Is that the Canadian word? You never say bathroom in the States? What do you say restroom? :confused3 Yes, it's a miracle I keep my mental health. :lmao:

Anyway, I'm now off to break in to the Kidani outdoor facilities - I bought this hat for such icognito endeavours.

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1276.jpg

So I got in and was completely mesmirized by the workout room. Lovely. :lovestruc

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1369.jpg

At the top you overlook the play area - with the dancing water -

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1373.jpg

And there is a lovely hot tub -

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1582.jpg

And the pool area -

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1375.jpg

My camera - yes it was my camera's fault :lmao: - missed the boy going down. But here's the slide -

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1376.jpg

And pool -

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1586.jpg

And one of my favourite, oh how my fingers slow down on Canadian spellings, pictures of the entire trip. Funny how simple ones are often the best, eh?

How sweet of you - you liked the washroom picture. :lmao: Makes me happy. :rotfl2::lovestruc

Well, on I go. I have a championship lacrosse game at 5:30 and then - oh then - tonight Lakers taking game two. So until then. Stopping for food of course. Disboards - food. Food!!!!

the pool bar. :love::lmao:;)

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1382.jpg

So relaxing.....

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1600.jpg

So for food - because one must have food. They have two choices. The bar menu -

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1601.jpg

And the private dining menu:

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1592.jpg

We decided on the private dining. You phone it in from the bar. And here is what amuses me to no end. I was not supposed to be in this area. It's key programmed for Kidani guests. And we go to order and they want our room number. So I'm honest - I say "here's my BW room number" and they take it and place our order to eat where we're not even supposed to be hanging out there. I hope I'm not offending anyone. Well, really - I don't think I care.;). But I found that totally amusing.

So we waited for our food. Drinks. Nothing like drinking at WDW. A second mortgage but still a lovely way to pass the time.

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1597.jpg

It took less time then they said. And look at the size of the Bento box. :lmao::rotfl::lmao:. I lived in Japan for awhile. Only in North America (and at WDW) could it be THAT big. :sad2: :rotfl2:

It was delicious.

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1602.jpg

Okay, I'm off. Food is calling. popcorn::

:lmao: Muusuka! Good to see you. I have an architect on my WISH thread and she thinks I'm absolutely nuts.

I could just look at the angles and reflection of light for hours.

Yes, I was at BW. Last minute decision. Birthday weekend. Well it became a five day weekend. :lmao: Funny how that happens.

so don't cry. :sad2:

Or cheer. :lmao:

We're still at AKV. Heading over to Jambo.

Got soaked on the way over. But went out to the Savanna and saw this -

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1410.jpg

So I stopped and sat. There is the beauty of WDW. Stopping and taking everything in.

I amused myself - since I spend a lot of time alone at WDW - by taking my own picture.

http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/lisaviolet/101_1433.jpg

And I sat under the umbrella to stay kind of dry for at least an hour - probably more.

Really peaceful and beautiful.

Here's what I took in -

at the end. (Well, not quite. I want to do my birthday at the BW. But my goodness I need some sleep - and maybe a rocking chair :lmao:- to move on to new thread. I don't know how these regular TRers do it. This is like a part time job. :surfweb: )

Some - hmmm - what should I call them? Some take a moment and breathe in the smallest portraits of our resorts. I can't say I ever noticed any of these before at the main lodge. And I've been there so many times.

And that's the beauty in slowing down.

the Kidani washroom - I forget that's a Canadian word. :lmao: I learned that on this birthday trip. I forget sometimes. What do you say restroom? :confused3

Here in the UK, we say bathroom. :upsidedow Try asking for one of those while visiting the parks - the CM's always look puzzled and wonder why someone would need to "have a bath" there! :lmao:

My head is hurting. We say bathroom all the time as well. All the time. Now I can't even remember what is American and what is Canadian that's different. :lmao: That can't be good. :rolleyes1 Maybe the use of bathroom is the difference and I've totally confused my own head. Which isn't that difficult.

I just know restroom isn't in my vocabulary.

It's like napkin and serviette. Serviette always gets stares.

Oh Lord. I must get off the disboards. :dance3:

Lots of conversations about summer at WDW. Me - I don't love summer days. Why? Mainly because it's a full time job covering my skin from the Florida sun. :cool2:

But I adore, absolutely adore, summer nights in Orlando. So wonderful. Those nights make a summer vacation a must for me.

Those pictures were gorgeous!

Here in the UK, we say bathroom. :upsidedow Try asking for one of those while visiting the parks - the CM's always look puzzled and wonder why someone would need to "have a bath" there! :lmao:

Bathroom is totally normal for America. If we're at home and get up from the couch and someone says "where are you going?" (b/c maybe they want you to get something from the fridge if you're going in there already), you answer "the bathroom" (if that was where you were going).

But if you're out and about you might say "restroom" b/c that sounds less, well, intrusive, less obvious, b/c Americans don't think about the "bath" part of "bathroom". And signs say "restroom". So if you are at a restaurant you might say "restroom" but at home you're likely saying "bathroom".

Now when I visited Ireland, the bathroom was where they had the bath/shower, and the *toilet* was where they had the...well, you know.
