DH suggested that we could take a short 3 day, to help us wait until our next 7 day cruise in October 2003 (!). Here is the question .......the 7 day western was our first cruise. We LOVED it. Would we be happy on a short 3 day in say....Jan? Or, should we just take Prozac until October 2003. (heavy sigh)
Is a 3 day Wonder trip going to make me feel wonderful?

Because of our schedules our family must do 3 or 4 day cruises.
I would love to do a 7 but 3 is better than none.
We enjoy it even though it is rather short. I think You would too.

When people ask is the 3 day worth it, I always say , yes it goes by fast, no you cant do everything, but 3 days on the Disney Boat is much better than 3 days at home! ;) I say if you can swing it, go for it! :)

We sailed July 2000, a 3 day cruise, it was short, you just got used to the boat and the trip was over. However, it was alot of fun!!. We are doing the 4 day cruise this July and can't wait!!! I think you should take advantage of any opportunity to cruise!!.

Our first cruise was a 3 day and it was too short! Our next cruise was a 7 day which was great and relaxing. We just did a 4 day this past May as an in-between major cruises (we booked a 7 day for next May). The great thing was that since we had already been on two cruises we knew where things were and what we wanted to do. That helped us relax. I prefer the 4 day over the 3 day because of the day at Sea, but I say go for the 3 day as a great in-between trip.

Enjoy!

Since it will be your second cruise, I think you will really enjoy it. We did our second cruise as a 3 day. It did go by fast but we enjoyed it MORE than our first cruise which was a 4 day. The reason was because we knew where everything was and what to expect. We carefully choose what we wanted to do (didn't get off the ship at Nassau, just let the girls enjoy the pool).

So I would say YES go for it! Look at Barb's website for the 3 day navigators and think about what you would want to do. We honestly enjoyed our second cruise more than the first even though it was shorter. Of course, now we are looking forward to our third cruise and our longest cruise in September. The 7 day Western!

Have fun! I would go as often as I could. Wish I lived in Florida. We could go twice a year!

Even though I haven't even BEEN on my second cruise yet, I'd definitely think you could enjoy a 3 or 4 day cruise even though your first cruise was longer. You'll already have a good idea of what you want to do (and more importantly, what you DON'T want to do) so you'll probably be able to use your time more efficiently even though it'll be a shorter trip.

We did a 3 day cruise and even though it was our first cruise, we had a GREAT time since we knew exactly what we wanted to do (thanks to these boards) and didn't waste our precious time on things some rookies might bother with. So we got a lot of bang for our buck. Personally, I don't think our next cruise will be 7 day simply because I'm not sure if we'd get a little stir crazy after awhile. We'd probably lean toward a 4 day (or 5 day if they had it) since we also enjoyed our time at WDW immensely.

All but 3 of our 22 Disney cruises have been 3-day (we've also done one 4 and two 7 day trips). Granted, the 3-day goes by WAY too fast, but it works out the best with our vacation days. I heartily recommend it...it's the most fun you can pack into such a short period. Almost time for #23!
