We are planning on taking our first DVC trip this September. We are still in the planning stage because we just received our points for this year. I am a little nervous about being able to book anything for this september, does anyone know what availability is like in september?? We would like to stay at the new BCV, BWV as second choice or OKW as last choice. We also want to go on the cruise, but with so many fall specials, I am worried about that too!!! If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks

You won't know for sure until you call MS and check.
Pick a tentative schedule of dates you'd like, what type of room (Studio, 1-B/R etc), which resort(s), and then call and find out what's available. If you're flexible at all, you'll probably be OK.
September is usually a low month, except maybe around the Labor Day holiday.
Remembr, if you can't get your first choice at BCV's, you can go ahead and make a reservation wherever it's available (BWV or OKW), and then waitlist for your first choice.
It's hard to judge BCV right now because not all the rooms have been released yet. (They're released as BCV sells). So there might not be anything right now, but as sales go on, they might release more rooms in say July, and then your waitlist would come through.
Good luck.

Well, I am cancelling WLV and Vero for September today. People must cancel and change their dates often so maybe something will come up if you waitlist.

Belle2002....just wanted to welcome you to the DIS board. You've already received great advice, so go ahead and give MS a call and see what they have available.
Since you are a new member, you were not able to take advantage of the 11 month booking advantage for your home resort for this first trip. But it's not too early to be thinking about your 2003 vacation plans. If you want to go in June next year, for example, you would want to book that next month.
Otherwise, within the 7 month time frame, your best bet is to be flexible first on resort locations and even on room accommodations if possible.
Good luck. Let us know how it goes with MS.
And come back often with questions and comments!

I would say it depends greatly on what size villa you are looking for. Studios and GVs are probably gone for that time, but I'll bet you can find a 1 or 2 bedroom somewhere.

First, you were wise to come here with your questions. Secondly, follow the advice of the posters above this one. Third, I think half the fun is planning the trip and waiting for the day you leave, so enjoy! and Fourth, WELCOME HOME!

You should be Okay - Georgia is the only state that I know of that has fall break from school in Sept - from the posts that I have seem it looks like Oct has more fall breaks -
