We joined the Disney Club last August for $29.95--anyone know
if their are any renewal discounts, or do we have to pay 39.95???

DC will send you some renewal information and it will tell you that you can renew for $29.95. :D

You can renew online as well. When it got close to my "anniversary date", the DC website would ask me if I wanted to renew everytime I signed on.

I always renew my Disney card - I love the magazine. But now I found out that you can't reserve at a Disney resort without buying an entire package. Is this right? I saved more money by buying the tickets separate from reserving the room - so much so we got to stay an extra day. Maybe I'm just confused.

I enjoy the Disney Magazine too!
Yes you CAN reserve a room without buying a package. Just make sure that you ask for Central Reservations. Tell them that you DON'T want to talk to the Travel Company. That way, you will have to pay a one night's deposit and have 5 days (I am not SURE that it is still 5 days) before your trip to cancel without losing your deposit.

If you wait til the very end of the month that your membership renews, they will automatically change your renewal month to a year after the next month (like if you call for a renewal at the end of June 2002, they will renew it to July 2003). It's kind of like getting an extra month out of the deal!:D

I booked a night at CBR for December last month using Disney Club. I did go through WDTC, but they give the 5 day cancellation rule for DC members. I got the one night at 20% off plus free tickets to WWOS or mini-golf, technically a basic plan package.
