Is there a way to get to the beach without a car? :confused3 How much for a taxi? Do any of the hotels offer a shuttle? Public Transportation?

We are staying at the BW Stovall's Inn and would like to go to the beach one afternoon, also we will be staying Sept. 25 -Oct.1 how's the water then?

We are from Idaho so we are use to cold!;)

:thumbsup2We'll I did some research and being w/o a car and wanting to go to the beach is a pretty big hassle. The bus would cost a family of four $24 RT and take 60/90 minutes one way. Wow.

So I checked out carrentals.com and found that we could rent a car for just under $27/day from DTD. Only $88 with taxes for the four days that we would want one. Yeah. So problem solved for us. :woohoo:

I'm glad to hear it. The best way is to rent a car. Another way - oc_tony outlined it in one of the podcasts - is to take the train to San Clemente. It leaves you right at the beach, and then back to the Anaheim or Fullerton station. :)
