While looking on the castawayclub website I was looking at the brochure for Magical Treasures.

Can anyone tell me more about this? Are these things we can buy and have in our stateroom when we arrive? Do you pay for them when you order them? How far in advacne can I / do I need to order them?

I was interested in the Duffle bag, Mickey Minnie stuffed animals, Castaway Cay towels and coffee mug. Are these things available for purchase on the ship? If so, are the prices the same?

Thanks for your help,

Tammy

yes you order them in advance and they will be waiting for you in your stateroom when you arrive. You do pay for them in advance and I suggest ordering them at least a week in advance.

You can also try Shirley at The Perfect Gift. She makes very personalized gifts for the ships. They will also be waiting for you in your shiproom, I believe. And from what I see on her site, her prices are a bit better also!

Alot of the items are for sale in the ship stores, though they may not be exactly what is offered in the brochure. I personally would wait until you are onboard because you may change your mind once you see the selection in the shops. The ship stores do carry a great amount of variety in t-shirs, towels, toys, mugs, christmas ornaments, DCL logo stuff, etc.

If you did want to order something in advance for a gift for someone or a surprise...definitely check out Shirley at The Perfect Gift. Her stuff is great.

I recommend Shirley too...I have had baskets done for hubby and for crew members, and she does such neat custom work!

We ordered some of the Magical Treasures before our recent cruise. We got the photo album, Mickey and Minnie plushes, the Oceaneers Adventure and the Magical Dreams (or whatever the Tinkerbell pillowcase, book and cookies are called.)

I saw the plushes and the photo album in the gift shop but none of the other stuff that we ordered. Overall we were very pleased with all of the items. Even the scary looking cookies that came with the pillowcase and book were actually tasty. The only bad thing was the 2 bags of Crunch and Munch that were in the Oceaneers Adventure kit were very stale. I am sure that Disney would have replaced them if we had complained but we didn't care enough to complain. We primarily ordered the Oceaneers Adventure for the cute little duffle bag :)

OK, now I am curious. What is Shirley's website? I haven't seen it yet.
Thanks!

Were there any kind of pillow cases available in the gift shop? I hate to spend all that money, if I can just pick one up in the gift shop.

I have not seen pillow cases in the Gift Shops. I know at some of the kids club activites, the kids get pillow cases to color. At least that was what happened on our 2/23/02 cruise.
