For the December 2010 cruise - who is celebrating something? Birthday, Anniversary, Graduation, Let's make a list.

Rtobe - Birthday (-- actually Dec 18 but having DIS friends to celebrate with on a boat would be most awesome)

I told my DD that this is her college graduation present, so I guess it's that.

WooHoo! A college graduate in the family!

I need your help here! If you are new and celebrating a birthday, it is likely that I added a birthday celebration when I applied your dates of birth. Otherwise, you need to email me if you want me to add any of your celebrations. Anyone who booked onboard, I don't have to look at your information so I won't see the birthdays.

Other celebrations too. I won't know about them if you don't email me. Keep in mind that while I do try to keep up on the boards, if you need something in your reservation noted or changed, you must email me. My PM notifications do not go to my work email so PMs are bad for me to be able to change things (unless I specifically tell you it is ok).

If we had not taken children for 1.0, it would have been an anniversary celebration. We've been married 15 years this month. I got married when I was 12. :) But, kind of hard to do when the kids are there.

So, for 2.0, we'll make up for it and celebrate being able to celebrate because our children aren't with us :)

We'll be celebrating the fact that we don't yet have kids, have the time off from work, and so far the finances to take a little vacation about every six months. It wasn't too long ago that my wife concluded, and rightly so, that we should enjoy these kinds of things while we're still relativly young, are not overwhelmed with other responsibilities, and have so many opportunities to do so. So, it's normally hard for me to say this kind of thing about myself but........YAY US!!!

I hear you there. I tend to be "shy" about what I eat in public. I wish you all could eat with all the time. I'd be much thinner. I think that Paul caught me at the desserts line, too, at Palo. Which makes me think. Hmmm, if he saw me, and he saw you, then he must have had TWO trips to the dessert line :) It's a good thing Paul's nice, or he would have scared me.

My husband and I both turn 60 :hourglass:scared1: that fall (Sept and Oct) and then in November I will be retiring:rolleyes1 so I am counting the cruise as our celebration.

I keep telling my husband we should just stay at WDW after the cruise, because I don't have to hurry back to work. He doesn't think that is very nice. Can't figure out why! :confused3

Mark,

I have thought of that, but I don't think it will work. He loves Disney as much as I do, so I would feel bad if I got to stay and he had to go home. I do think we will at least finish the week and weekend after the cruise at disney though. Where in Missouri are you from? Our oldest daughter is moving to Springfield, MO this summer to teach at Drury University.

Hi:

We live in a suburb of St. Louis.

Your daugther should enjoy the Springfield area... Really nice lakes and the rolling hills of the Ozarks... and if she likes country she is certainly close to Branson.

We are currently planning on coming down to WDW three days before the cruise and staying maybe to Saturday after the cruise. While we are there we thought that we might as well see WDW dressed up for Christmas and take in their special Christmas events.

Take care,

You can add myself and my daughter to the list of December birthdays. My daughters is the 29th and she will be turning 12 and mine is on the 1st and I will be...nevermind you don't need to worry about my age.
I was supposed to be cruising with my son but due to his school schedule he will be taking exams that week, so I told my youngest she gets to go instead.
My older daughter whose is the middle child wouldn't even dream of going with since she is done with Disney ( or so she says.)
Oh well, they get to hang with Dad for a week since he won't be able to go either.

In most cases you can get a free cake with dinner one night. This isn't automatic and must be set up. As mentioned before, those with birthdays during the cruise are being set up when I add your dates of birth, but anyone with a celebration (like an anniversary) or birthday you are celebrating that isn't on the cruise (a few weeks before or after), you will need to tell me you wish to celebrate and I'll set it up.

Assuming 2010 goes the way I expect, I will have a lot of stuff to celebrate. DBF graduating college, moving to Orlando, and becoming a CM, getting out of debt, and finally starting a new chapter in our lives, but I think the easiest one to quantify is that it will be our 5 year anniversary together. I'll email Tracy on that one. The funny thing is we spent our 6 month anniversary on a 7 night Disney cruise. After that, he was hooked:thumbsup2

I love teasing him about his age compared to mine. I'll say things like, "When you were 18 (and legal to drink) I was 7. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

We'll be celebrating our 14th anniversary and Chris' birthday (12/21).

That's right, Jen. I think I remember your anniversary being really close to ours. We'll have to celebrate together!

Woo Hoo another '80 baby!!!! I am trying to file paperwork that can keep me 29 until 2020, then I will file an appeal. I remember when 30 was old. Now that I am on its doorstep...its still pretty young.

I'm an '80 baby too :thumbsup2 I'll turn 30 next October (2010) :cool1:

I'm right in the middle of you two. I'll be 30 in November. Gosh, that's weird to think about.

We'll be celebrating our 9th anniversary (Dec 14) on the cruise and our son's 5th birthday! (Dec 15)

Our 17th anniversary will be three days after the cruise ends (Sunday). That's close enough for me (especially with no kids on the cruise).

I will be celebrating my birthday on the cruise on December 14.:drinking1party::cake:
This is very special because we always seem to go away for my husband's birthday since it is Valentine's Day:love: and our Anniversary:lovestruc but we have never been on a trip during my birthday.
We are all coming on Podcast 2.0 including DS11pirate: and DD7princess: because I told them we will never be going to Disney during their birthday since I can't stand the heat and they were both born in August.

My birthday is 12/29, but I don't want to celebrate it on the ship. After I fly home on 12/16, I will be returning to WDW on 12/24 to celebrate! I will be somewhere in age between Walter's 50th and Miss Madeline's 80th...

We'll drag you around with us - no worries :rotfl: But as Todd says Yvet has the energy of a 5 year old (except first thing in the morning before a glass of coke ;))

Last December I was told of my illness.

I just heard from my doctor that if all continues to remain stable for me that I will be able to join Podcast 2.0! WooHoo.

So I will be celebrating one year of living life. Come join me for a Diet Coke. I know Michael and I look forward to seeing all of you.

It is a great day to be alive.
