I really, really want to go on the Magic Carpets of Aladdin ride!! But I thought that it was a ride just for kids, like Dumbo or maybe Barnstormer. Are adults allowed on there rides without a kid? I know they probably wouldn't say no just wandering if I would be glared at for being odd.

LOL...remembering all the funny glances I got when standing in line and riding solo on It's a Small World w/o a kid. With that said...I never once had a problem getting on a 'kiddie' ride or made to feel uncomfortable trying to do so by a CM. Hey...a gal's gotta ride her favorites from when she was a little girl...and I'm not letting little Suzy & her Mom stop me! :p

Adults are allowed to ride any of the rides in the parks. I ride the Carpet ride all the time, and never have any issues.

A few years back I hit WDW with my parents for my 30th B-day. My Dad constantly joked that we need to ride Dumbo. Well I think the 1st night we were there, after a few drinks at the Contemporary, we hit extra magic hours at MK to see Pirates which had just been updated to match the movies. Where is this long story going ...

After we hit MK, it became a showdown of two mature guys challenging to ride Dumbo. Niether of us gave in, so both of us waited in line and hopped in our solo Dumbos. Before the ride started, I noticed a bunch of people in line pointing at me, and sort of laughing. At that point (and after quite a few drinks), I yelled sarcastically (while smiling), "Take a good look, I'm a single guy riding Dumbo solo and I freakin' love it. Anybody have a problem with that?" A ton of people in line just started cheering me on at that point having a good ole time. Everytime my flying Dumbo came around during the ride the line would cheer as I passed them and signaled to pump them up.

It was one of those memorable experiences that I think represents Disney and the kid in all of us (as well side effect of alcohol courage and late magic hours:rotfl:)

My last trip to DW was with 4 adults all ages 30-31. We all went straight to Dumbo after the rope drop at MK and waited to ride it together. The 2 girls got the pink Dumbo and the 2 guys took the purple one in front of us. We all wore our tie-dye Mickey shirts and had a great time. Then we went to visit Ariel's Grotto. Enjoy the magic, no matter how old you are.

I LOVE the Peter Pan ride. I'll be going on my first solo trips at age 30 and I'm going to ride it over and over again. I don't care if I get odd looks. I'm there to enjoy myself, doing whatever I want by myself.

I am trying to figure out why anyone would give you a odd or weird look. Go enjoy all the rides even Alladin and Dumbo! If there was an age restriction, they would post it. Don't worry about other peoples hang ups.

One day my dh and I are going to go to WDW without our kids and we will ride Dumbo, Alladin and the like.

Thanks! I think it was just me who thought they were only for kids. After planning my trip for a bit, I had a light bulb moment where I thought why not go on Dumbo. LOL. I guess I just always thought of certain rides as just for kids. But NO MORE!! :rotfl: I have seen the light. I WILL go on Dumbo and Aladdin. :woohoo:

I didn't get to go on either last time I was down there but I definitely will be riding both this September.

Hey! 40+ and I didn't hesitate to go on Aladdin!
I won't do it again, because a fear of heights kicks in if I'm on something small that doesn't enclose me where I can look down on all 4 sides (see I had no prob on Tower of Terror or Space Mountain, etc)

We're all kids at Magic Kingdom!:thumbsup2
But, unlike real kids, WE get to eat as much as we want and not take a nap (unless WE want!)!

I had thought about riding barnstormer, but some people on here seemed to not enjoy it. So I wasn't sure if it was worth the wait. Any thoughts??

My husband and I got married in Disneyworld and rode every ride there (well almost :)) and loved it! Never thought twice about climbing into Peter Pans flying ship! Its great! Its true, everyone is a kid at WDW! We also walked around with our ears on while eating our ice cream cones (which, may I add, also had ears :))!
