Hahahahahaha. That is one of the few Jersey songs I do NOT have. What is it?

Here's to all of us great humored Garden State-ers!

I've heard the song before and also wondered what it is from.

I get so annoyed when people say stuff about Jersey. Most of the stereotypical people are from Staten Island, and the "smell" is only on your way to NYC...I wonder where it's coming from...:rotfl:

That voicemail was hilarious!! Can I just say that if Pete wasn't in the way, I'd be all over Walter!!! :lmao:

I do have to ask...what's with all the people from New Jersey loving Disney World? It seems that there are a very high number of people from NJ on the DIS Boards and at WDW. Always wondered if that was true or if it just seems that way.

I think it has to do with Jersey week. :) It sure seems like the entire state of NJ travels to Orlando every November.

We'll be there this year. Lois' sister and our brother-in-law's son is getting married in September. Our tradition has been to use our DVC points to bring the parents to WDW to relax. She's a teacher in NJ, therefore, we'll be there for NJ week.
If the NJ song is something other than Uncle Floyd singing "Deep in the Heart of Jersey", I'll be disappointed.:rotfl2:
Can't wait to hear the e-mail show.

I just finished listening to the email show.

The last one has be laughing out loud.

Why so many Disney lovin Jersey people? When you're the most densely populated sate in the US, it makes perfect sense.

We all go to WDW in November simple because we are all forced to leave the state for a week. This is so that the roads can be swept and the potholes filled before the start of winter! :lmao:

I have to agree with Greg, Uncle Floyd's version of, "Deep in the Heart of Jersey" is a classic and should be the state song.

As a lifelong Jersey resident I can answer this question with MY reason.

Things are are very hectic and very fast paced. We drive too fast, talk too fast, always hurrying, hurrying, hurrying.

When I go to Disney everything slows down. I am completely immersed in a world completely different from my everyday life. No traffic, no deadlines, no slushy roads or salt caked cars. There are more smiles, more sunshine, and much more magic.

I love where I live, don't get me wrong. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

But I will continue to count the days until I'll be back in the World each time I return home from a trip!

It sounded like something they would have played at Palisades Park.

Kudos Kathy.:yay: I came up with the most obscure song reference about NJ I could think of and you knew it.:worship:
Many years ago, I was studying for the Bar exam and after every cram session, I came home and watched The Uncle Floyd Show on channel 68. I needed the escape.
Now I'll have to think of another NJ song reference. But till I do:
"The Factory smoke
Will make you choke
Deep in the heart of Jersey"

Hahahaha. I totally agree about Jersey being too fast paced. I went to college in Maryland for four years and GOOD LORD everybody was so slow (or appeared that way to me) compared with us!

BTW all, I was actually going to post about a NJ DIS meet this summer. I know one was done in Southern NJ recently, but would any of you be interested?
