Where to buy AP?

We have decided to purchase AP's for my family of four for an upcoming trip this Thanksgiving, and another trip in August 2003. I'd like to buy the passes before leaving home. I went online at Disney,and you could buy the AP vouchers there but the shipping charges were astronomical! Itseems that shipping charges are based upon how much you spend rather than weight of the package, so $1310 in passes costs more in shipping than I think is fair. I sent an email asking where AP vouchers could be purchased and got a form letter email response sending me to the online purchase section of their website.
Has anyone purchased these outside WDW and FL? I'm in Massachusetts, but not above jumping through hoops for a good deal. Last year I had a friend pick up my PHP's in Chicago to get the $50 Disney dollars promotion.
Any help would be appreciated!!

If you have a Disney Store near by you can buy the vouchers there. :D

MY DW and I are buying ours at our local Disney store before we go in October. We'll get a voucher that we'll exchange when we get to WDW. Plus, we'll get to apply our DC discount to the AP's...15 dollars each but it adds up.

The following places will send you a voucher for your AP/PAP. This voucher must be exchanged for the actual pass at any WDW ticket window or Guest Relations window or at the Guest Relations offices at Downtown Disney or Downtown Disney West Side:

- Most Disney Stores throughout the U.S.
- online at www.disney.com
- by calling 407-WDISNEY

The following places will sell you an activated AP/PAP. No exchanging required:

- Any WDW major park ticket window
- Guest Relations at the major parks or at Downtown Disney and West Side
- The Ocala Information Center on I-95 in Ocala, FL
- Disney's Flights Fantastic at Orlando International Airport
- The Magic of Disney at Orlando International Airport
- Character Warehouse at Belz Mall 2 in Orlando
- Character Premiere at Belz Mall 1 in Orlando
- Character Premiere at Orlando Premium Outlets Mall in Lake Buena Vista

All of the above locations will honor your Disney Club discount EXCEPT www.disney.com. Note that AP/PAP's cannot be purchased at Disney resorts.

One question on the annual passes.........I planned to get this at my Disney Store with my DC card. I am assuming these are unactivated??? How long is the wait to get them activated? Is this the ticket line or what?????? We do plan on going to Downtown Disney the day we arrive, where do we activate and does the year start the day you activate? We have always done hoppers before. Thanks!

As stated in the list I posted above, AP's purchased at TDS get a voucher, not the actual AP. This voucher has to be exchanged at any WDW major park ticket window, major park Guest Relations window, or either of the two Guest Relations offices at DD.

The exchange usually takes 5-10 minutes. Your year will start on the day you exchange the vouchers.

Read the AP info on Deb's site (http://wdwig.com/apass.htm). It should answer most of your questions.

There are Disney Stores at the Emerald Sq. Mall (Attleboro) and Silver City Galleria (Taunton). Call them, they should be able to order APs for you!! :smooth:

We generally buy our passes over the phone. The TN is 407-560-PASS. Shipping charge was only $3.00, and I was able to get the DC discount. (The online system isn't set up to take any discounts). It was worth $3.00 to me not to have to make two trips to the local Disney Store (one to order and one to pick up the vouchers).

last year around thanksgiving (cant remember if it was just before or the day after t'giving) the Disney stores (the Tallahassee & Jacksonville, FL stores at least) were offering a special if you purchased a multi day pass including all versions of the Annual passes then they gave you a $50.00 Disney store gift card which I in turned used twards paying for my daughter's pass. The Disney store CM said she had to do it on seperate transactions but I saved $50!! check with the Disney store often to see if they are offering this special as I do not know how often or if this was a one time only thing.

Anyone know if Ticketmania.com sells the Annual Pass? It's not listed, just wondered if anyone knew if it was possibly a special order item?

You can only get AP's through Disney. No one else sells them.
