Ok--so I'm finally starting my TR!! If you would like to check out my PTR, just click the link in my siggy!! Here we go!
Time for introductions (for those that are just joining in)!!!
Me (Becky)--turning the big 30 on August 1st!! My family and I live in Memphis, TN (well--a suburb really). I am a former Kindergarten teacher and am now a SAHM! I enjoy blogging, bow making, theater, singing, volleyball, shopping, Alabama football (roll tide!!), Facebook (sooo addicted!) and photography. I am very active at my church where I sing solos/duets (with my dh) and sing in our Worship Choir. I am a perfectionist/OCD and was the planner of this trip (100%)! And it was so much fun!!
DH (Brent)--turning 36 in August! Brent is an engineer, Star Wars buff, and HUGE fan of the Crimson Tide (he and everyone in his family went to U of A). He coteaches our Sunday School Class, is a deacon at our church, and sings in the Worship Choir. Brent is the smartest person I know but is also down-to-earth and much more laid back than I. We met in 1996 (when he moved to TN from AL) and were married in 1999. He enjoyed every minute of our trip--even with all of the rain! (especially Star Wars Weekend)
DD (Ally)--4 1/2--a mini-me!! She looks like me and acts like me (scary!!). She will be starting Kindergarten in August and is already reading!! She loves princesses, taking dance (this is her 3rd year), American Girl dolls, drawing, reading, anything Disney, and singing in her preschool choir. She is quite the performer--this past Christmas she asked her choir director if she would be getting her own microphone for their choir performance!! Hee hee! She also loves to pretend she's Sharpay from HSM or Hannah Montana. She thrives on a schedule and when anything deviates from it--watch out! (she may be more OCD than me! YIKES!! What have I created?!?!) Her favorite princess is Ariel with Cinderella as a close 2nd!
DD (Claire)--20 mo.--and my baby!! She is a ball of energy and is my climber--she has no fear! She is also a lot louder than Ally was at this age but is much more cuddly than Ally was. She is precious!! She likes to sing along with us--I think she is going to be a soprano like me! She knows how to make anyone smile--especially if she's getting in trouble--such a stinker!! Many have asked me why we took her on this trip and I say why not?! They say, "Don't you want to wait until she's older?". I'm like--Disney isn't going anywhere--we CAN come back (and believe me--we will)! Claire loved seeing all of the characters on our trip. Her favorites are Mickey & Minnie but she also loved Eeyore and Nemo on our trip! She much prefers the stuffed characters over the "real" ones.
Here is one of my favorite pics of our family from our vacation!!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%201/293.jpg
Dh and I were celebrating our 10th anniversary on this trip!! This was Ally & Claire's 1st trip!! This was my third trip--my first trip was when I was 3 years old and my 2nd trip was the Spring of 1994. I was a freshman in high school and we had a choir competion at WDW. Dh has been several times but not since 1988.
Ok--so what does my title mean?! Well since I used a quote from Ally as my PTR title I thought I'd use another Ally quote for my TR. Most of you know it pretty much rained everyday ALL day the entire week we were at WDW--right?! Well, on Monday of our trip we were in the Magic Kingdom and it was raining (again) and Ally looked over at me (in all seriousness) and said, "This isn't Disneyworld. . .it's Rainworld!" And I about lost it--it just cracked me up! That's Ally for you!
Coming up! Day 1 at WDW--our flight, ME, the Poly, Downtown Disney, and a DIS meetup!!

Here we go!! So the night before our trip I was up late packing and just being incredibly excited about our trip!! So, needless to say, I didn't get much sleep that night!! We woke up bright and early at 5:45 a.m.! Our flight was at 8:40 a.m. and we live about 30 minutes from the Memphis airport. So we got dressed, ate a quick breakfast (well I ended up eating mine in the car), and getting things packed into the car. There wasn't much traffic since it was a Saturday morning but we ended up leaving a little later than I had liked--so I was a little stressed! We arrived at the airport around 7:40ish and the check-in line was LONG! Usually we get into the Platinum Elite line with no wait--but they didn't have that available for some reason. So we waited and it didn't end up taking as long as we had anticipated. (thank goodness) Oh--and the family in front of us were headed to WDW as well!! Then we headed to the security line (which was SUPER LONG) but again, thought we could go through the Platinum Elite line. The man told us we couldn't use that line with our family?! OK--we've done it before--oh well. Another worker overheard him and told us to go down to the next terminal--that the security line was nonexistant down there. So we did and just walked back to our terminal (all the terminals in Memphis are connected). As we arrived at our gate, they were already boarding! YIKES!! But we made it and got settled into our seats! Whooo hoo!! We were on our way to WDW!!!
Ally is super-excited!!

Brent & Claire
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%201/002.jpg
The flight took about an hour and a half and then we landed at MCO!! I took out our ME booklet, looked at the map of the airport, and we were on our way!! We got down to the ME line and I couldn't believe how many people I saw!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%201/004.jpg
But we checked in, they scanned our ME tickets, and they directed us to the Polynesian line. The line was not bad at all!
Ally waiting patiently

Brent & Claire
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%201/008.jpg
The line started moving again and we got excited!! But when we got to the front of the line they pulled that black rope out and said we'd be on the next bus. Oh man! Oh well--so I took a pic of the sign since we were standing right beside it!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%201/009.jpg
I told Brent that it was fine--it just meant that we would get on the bus first AND get front seats!! I would be able to get a decent picture of the WDW sign!! YAY!! So about 10-15 minutes later we were boarding our bus! (I didn't get a pic of it b/c I wanted to be sure we got on first!)
on the bus

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%201/015.jpg
Claire was such a wiggleworm during the busride--she was letting her freedom go to her head!! It was quite exhausting trying to keep her still and safe!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%201/012.jpg
Then I started getting excited when our driver said we were almost to the sign! I took TONS of pics to make sure I got a decent one! Here is the best I got (excuse the bugs from the bus' windshield)!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%201/020.jpg
We were officially in Disney World--it was so surreal!!! I wasn't sure in what order we would be dropped off at our resort but we ended up being first!!

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%201/035.jpg
We ended up not having to wait at all! I was nervous wondering if we had gotten the longhouse that I had requested (Tokelau) and if we just MIGHT get an upgrade?! The cast member who checked us in was really nice. She explained everything in detail to us, gave us our anniversary and first trip pins, etc. But while she talked Claire was throwing a fit (it was way past lunchtime and she was hungry--not to mention tired!). I was so embarassed and was almost in tears myself. Finally the cast member finished up and we headed to check out our room (it was ready!!!). We DID get Tokelau!! Whoo hoo!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%201/038.jpg
I knew we had a 3rd floor room but that was it--would it be garden view or mk view? We headed up the elevator and our room was the very first room on the left--so I knew we didn't get an upgrade. Oh well!! Our room was still VERY nice!!

Hey mom--check out the view!!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%201/054.jpg
Our view was wonderful!! It overlooked the quiet pool! NICE!!!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%201/058.jpg
So after we got settled I decided to see if we could get our Garden Grocer things delivered. So I called the front desk and they got me in touch with Bells Services. The front desk lady said, "Have a magical day!" Well Bells Services was not so magical for us! I called, gave the guy our name, and he checked and said he didn't have our things. I thought that was wierd as they were supposed to be delivered between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.! Hmm. . . so I checked my voicemail on my phone and had a message from GG saying they HAD delivered our groceries to Bells Services. Uggh!! So I called them back and the guy was really rude--not magical in the least! He said that he had just checked but he'd check again and call me right back. Well, I waited and waited and hear nothing! By that time we were all starving and wanting to go get something to eat. I didn't know what to do! Finally, there was a knock at the door and it was our stuff!! Thank goodness! Everything was accounted for and put away in our fridge. We headed straight over to Captain Cook's for some lunch!
I couldn't believe how much came with the meal plan!! We were so excited!! So we all chose what we wanted (I got the BBQ flatbread--YUM!!!) and sat down to eat. It was ready almost immediately! For dessert Brent had a Mickey ice cream bar!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%201/060.jpg
After lunch we headed to the bus stop to catch a bus to Downtown Disney.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%201/063.jpg
We waited about 15 minutes and then a bus arrived!! Once we got to Downtown Disney the first thing we did was let the girls pick Mickey ears and autograph books (since rain was in the forecast I didn't want to ruin the ones that Katie had made the girls--see PTR). Ally chose the pink and silver princess ears and I chose the red/black Minnie one for Claire. They both got their names embroidered on them! Here are some pics from our day--we just shopped and looked around.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%201/076.jpg

Then we headed back to the Poly. We had planned to meetup with some DISers that night at the Poly beach to watch Wishes at 10 p.m. So we just watched the Electrical Parade, walked around the Poly for awhile, and let the girls play in the sand.

I've stayed at the CR before and the rooms were very much like the Poly (different decor of course). The couch was pretty much like a day bed (it didn't pull out). The only reason I remember this was because my sisters and I were fighting over it and I eventually won!

I teach ballet and lyrical. I've been dancing since I was 5 years old and ballet is my passion. I'm also on a professional dance team. My DD took ballet for 3 years and this past summer, she switched over to Irish dancing. Her first real competition is this Saturday! Also, my dance recital is tomorrow night and Sunday afternoon. So, we have a very full weekend of dance ahead of us!
Ally really does look like she enjoys dancing! I think that dance is one of the best things a child can do. It teaches discipline, artistry and FUN!

That's great!! I took tap, ballet, and jazz growing up. I was also in show choir and many theater productions in high school--it was a lot of fun!! So I was really glad when Ally showed interest and she just loves dancing! Claire will start in August! She's a hoot--she dances in the waiting area at the studio while Ally is in class!!
Well, it sounds like you have a busy weekend!! Enjoy yourself and I hope all goes well!!

I was in chorus all throughout middle school and high school. I also performed in show choir and was in all the musicals in high school. I really miss those big productions we used to do. They were so much fun. I'm really looking forward to this weekend. I love dance recitals! I'm going to post pictures over on my PTR early next week.

Glad you're here Nichole!! Tokelau was a great location--it was close to everything! I wish we had gotten to actually swim in the quiet pool and/or the volcano pool--but with all of the rain, it just didn't happen. It was great meeting you and your family, too!! I'm glad we were able to meetup!

Dang girl! This thing moves fast! :lmao: Your travel day sounds very nice - especially since you made it on the plane in time -AHHHH!!!
It's funny reading reports from the same time - I read and then try to figure out where we were at the same time (since we were at the Poly all day on Saturday). We probably just missed seeing you in the lobby because we ate at Kona at 12:30 that day for lunch and then Shawn was in the quiet pool that afternoon. Too funny!
Your room looks fabulous and it really makes me miss the Poly so badly! :sad1: (I have to pull up Tikiman's site every once in a while even though I don't have a trip in the works, and listen to the music....).
It was great meeting up with you on the beach that night! The girls were so excited, and it made me miss my kids even more....(that last day was the day I missed them the most). I can't wait to bring them back down there and (hopefully) get to stay at the Poly again! :goodvibes

Oh my gosh, we did some of the same musicals! I was a featured dancer my freshman year in "The Music Man." I was a Shark (Puerto Rican) girl in "West Side Story" my sophmore year. We did "42nd Street" my junior year and I was Lorraine Flemming (one of the lead dancers; I had 11 lines!). That was my FAV musical of all time! Plus, the adult tap class I'm in this year is dancing to the song "42nd Street." The, we did "Grease" my senior year and I was Cha-Cha DeGregorio.

Hi Becky....
Glad you found some time to get started....
sorry about your friend, glad you can be a comfort to her  and good luck w/ VBS...what fun! I have taught that 2 times at our church too, so I know how much work it can be!
:yay: I love the begiining of the report...and your title is priceless...I am so sorry it was wet, wet, wet down there....hope it didn't spoil too many plans.
YIKES on the airport delays....I would have totally been freaking out, glad you got on the plan safe and sound and were on your way.
That DME line was huge...and I remember the squirmy toddler on that bus too...Margaret was better this March at 28 mo, but last June at 18 mo wasn't fun!
Great Welcome sign picture and love all the first views of the POLY, brought me chills and great memories of our stay last yr. :yay: you got your request and your room was ready...nice pool view too.
Don't you just love the rooms...so big and spacious! The girls look like they are loving it too and what a sweet surprise from your TA!
Oh BTW...the castle pic of your family is so wonderful! :goodvibes
Looks like you guys had a wonderful 1st day w/ alittle shopping at DTD and I love the pic of Ally by the Cinderella Statue...too cute!
Fireworks from the beach, dismeet and the EWP...what a great first night at Disney....you look fine...no great in those pictures!

I know what you mean about people saying that your child won't remember the trip. So what? I will. DW memories are some of the best memories I have of my kids. And, like you said, we have been more than once and I hope to continue to go. Some people think DW is a one time trip. They just don't get it I guess.

I've stayed at the CR before and the rooms were very much like the Poly (different decor of course). The couch was pretty much like a day bed (it didn't pull out). The only reason I remember this was because my sisters and I were fighting over it and I eventually won!

Before we left on our trip I had someone on the Creative DIS board make the girls invitations for each of their character meals. I set the invitations out the night before so when the girls woke up, they were excited to see where they were going that day!! Here is the one for today (Hollywood Studios):
this is Ally's (Claire had one with her name that looks exactly the same)
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Planning/AllyePlayDine.jpg
So we woke up early (every morning we set the alarm and had a wakeup call). We ate a quick poptart breakfast in the room and then took the bus to Hollywood Studios. We got there right when the park opened and headed straight for Star Tours. I did get a quick pic in front of the hat!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%202/002.jpg
and a pic in front of the Snow White topiary
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%202/003.jpg
Brent is a HUGE Star Wars fan (it was the very first movie that his mom took him to see at the theater) so he was all about Star Tours. However, he refused to bring any of his shirts to wear!? Oh well--so we got to Star Tours and it was only a 5 minute wait (the park was still pretty empty at this point).
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%202/004.jpg
So I got a child swap pass and Brent and Ally headed in!! Claire and I hung out in Tatooine Traders and then I took her picture on this thing.
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%202/010.jpg
Brent and Ally came out about that time so I took their pics as well!

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%202/014.jpg
Then Ally and I headed in and pretty much walked right on the ride!! It was a lot of fun!! When we came out Brent and Claire were watching the Jedi Training Academy. Brent took some great pics with my zoom lens!

When that was over we planned out what we wanted to do the rest of the day. Our first stop was the show The Voyage of The Little Mermaid. Ariel is Ally's favorite princess so she was super-excited! When we got to the line the CM said to come get back in line in about 15 minutes (no one was in line yet for the show). So we headed to the shops next door. Ally was starting to get a blister from her MJ Crocs. I had some moleskin but didn't have any scissors to cut it. The nice CM in the store let me borrow some so I cut a bunch of pieces, put some on Ally's blister, and headed back to The Little Mermaid show. We got in line and they were letting people into the theater. And would you believe they cut the line off right before we walked through?! So we ended up having to wait longer which is difficult with Claire wanting to get down and run around. But we made the best of it and before we knew it we were headed into the holding area. We were first in line!! I asked the CM which side the stage was on so we would be sure to line up at the correct door to insure front row seats. We waited a little longer and then they let us in! Sure enough we had front row seats!! It was great! The show was wonderful--I think Ally wished it was a little longer. She thought it was really cool how they used the lighting to make it look like you were sitting under water!
Then we left and headed to our 12:00 lunch reservations at Hollywood & Vine. We checked in early and they seated us very quickly. The buffet was really good! We all enjoyed the food. Goliath was the first to come around. I had to explain to Ally why he couldn't sign her autograph book--I think she was still baffled after my explanation.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%202/055.jpg

Then they took a minute to sing and dance. Ally got up and joined in. She had a lot of fun dancing!

And then came Leo!! (I didn't really get a good pic of Claire--but as you'll see as the TR progresses, Claire's interaction with the characters improves immensely!)

So we left Hollywood & Vine and headed to Beauty and the Beast--Live On Stage for the 2:00 show. They were already letting people into the theater so we quickly parked the stroller. We entered the theater on the left side and most of the middle section was already full. I noticed that there were seats in the left section all the way down on the front row so we took those seats. Not sure why they weren't taken already but we were excited!! There was about 15 minutes until the show started so Ally made friends with the girl sitting behind us! (she knows no stranger!) Then the show started and I had tears streaming down my face. (this happened a lot during our trip) The show was just soooo good! One of our favorites for sure! Our seats were great and even Claire sat very still during the show--she was in awe! (as were we) Brent took the pics this time around and used my zoom lens again. Here are a few shots (he took a TON!!):

After the parade we went down to the Pixar part of the park and got a snack. I had a Mickey ice cream and Brent & Ally had frozen lemonades. At this point I'm on the phone with some friends of ours. They go to church with us and their daughter Lexi is Ally's age. They were there the same day and we were deciding when and where we would meetup. We decided to meet for the 5:50 Playhouse Disney show (after their dinner reservations). So we discussed our plans and decided we had better make the 4:30 HSM show b/c we wouldn't get to see it if we didn't catch that show. Well guess what?! It started raining! Uggh!! So we hung out awhile under an awning. As we were waiting we put Claire on her Minnie Mouse harness. She was walking around passing the time and some guy said (very loudly), "I would NEVER put my child on a leash!" Oh buddy--that really made Brent mad! I wasn't too happy either! The guy obviously didn't have any children--I wasn't even sure he was married! I just couldn't believe how tacky he was! Who says things like that OUT LOUD?! What a jerk! His time will come and he will eat his words! Anyway, so the rain finally decided to stop and we made our way to the front of the hat to get our place for the HSM show. So we waited there for awhile and then they CANCELLED the show! We had a great spot, too!! They said that the ground was too wet for the HSM cast to perform safely. So they brought out the cast for a meet and greet instead. Ally was soooo disappointed! But we made the best of it and went and met some of the cast.
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%202/279.jpg
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%202/282.jpg
So now we had some time to kill so we decided to check out some other parts of the park!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%202/284.jpg
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%202/290.jpg
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%202/293.jpg

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%202/296.jpg
So we made the loop and headed back towards the Playhouse Disney area. Ally wanted her pic in front of the Little Mermaid.
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%202/298.jpg
And back to Playhouse Disney
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%202/301.jpg
Claire is out at this point (thank goodness)!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%202/302.jpg
We had time to meet some characters so we jumped in line to meet Handy Manny!!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%202/311.jpg
And then Quincy! (Ally was hoping for Annie--we never ended up seeing her)
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%202/316.jpg
By that time it was getting close to the time that we were to meetup with our friends. So we stood in front of the Playhouse Disney theater to wait for them. I was getting a little antsy as the line for the show was starting to grow and there was no sign of our friends. So I called them and they said they were finishing up and leaving the restaurant--that they would be there shortly. Brent could tell I was stressing so he asked me if I wanted to get in line. I told him no, that that would be rude. We would continue to wait until they got there. Well, the CM from the show overheard us talking and told us that she thought she could help us out! She asked us how we would like to be the special "Family of the Show" for the Playhouse Disney Show! She told us to come stand with her by the front door and that she would escort us into the theater first and that we would get front row seats!! How exciting!! Our friends would get to be the "Family of the Show" as well!! She also gave us this special certificate!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%202/320.jpg
And just then our friends showed up!! They were very excited when they heard the news!! Here is Ally and her friend Lexi!

After the show we headed outside and it was raining again!! So we walked around for while and then we headed over to the ABC Commissary so we could get a bite to eat. I had the Bleu Cheese chicken sandwich and some chocolate mousse! It was WONDERFUL--sooo good!! We relaxed for awhile to stay out of the rain. Lexi and Ally serenaded the people around us with their church choir songs (they were missing their choir program at church that night so they decided to have their own concert right there at HS!!). After dinner we decided to see if Fantasmic was still going to happen that night. The show was scheduled for 9:00 and 10:30. We decided on the 9:00 show--10:30 was just going to be too late for us! No one could tell us if it was cancelled or not so we headed to the amphitheater and got in line. By this time it was POURING rain and lightning pretty badly. There was still about an hour until the show but they wouldn't let us be seated due to the lightning. So we stood in this long line and waited and waited and waited some more. We found out that they would not call the show until right up until it was to start. We were hoping for the best but when 9:00 rolled around they told everyone that the show was cancelled. Uggh! They invited everyone to hang around for the 10:30 show. Yeah--no. So we all turned around (along with everyone else in line) and slowly made our way out. The rain was not letting up so we decided to call it a night and head back to our resorts. The girls said their goodbyes and we made plans to meetup at Magic Kingdom the next day.
Coming up--Day 3 @ Magic Kingdom and breakfast at CRT!! (oh--and more rain!)

What a great day at HS you had :goodvibes . I love the girls matching dresses so cute. Your pictures are great. I love the Block party ones and Thomas enjoyed the Jedi training ones. Hopefully next year it won't rain everyday and he gets to do that. Sorry about the jerk that made the comment about your harness. Obviously he has no kids and he has no business making a rude comment either. If I had a little one that would take I would certainly use a harness to keep them safe. So :cool1: that the CM at Playhouse Disney pick you and your friends to be family of the show. Sorry you missed fantasmic, honestly of all the nightime shows it's my least favorite. And phooey on the guy who made the comment about the leash. Heck, phooey on anyone who makes a comment like that. It's your decision and not theirs. It did work very well. It was easy to push around and carried everything we needed around the park. I bought these Mommy Hooks from Babies 'R Us that I clipped to the stroller and was able to carry even more! The only negative was that 3 nights during our trip Ally was falling asleep in the stroller and she couldn't lay back and sleep comfortably. Brent ended up having to carry her which was difficult b/c she weighes around 50 lbs!

Just wanted to chime in on the safety harness. After reading your PTR, I discussed it with my husband and we are getting a Minnie one for our daughter. I just don't think people get it until they have children. Emmie is just so darn fast and independent it just makes sense not to take the risk of her taking off or tripping someone when she takes off. Thanks for posting the link for them. Love the Tink dresses! :)

Count me in as another harness-loving mama! Anyone who would make a comment like that clearly does not have kids. What a jerk! Until you've had a toddler you have no idea how fast and reckless they are. I turned my attention at my ODS's t-ball game yesterday for 20 seconds and my YDS was halfway down the field being carried back by a stranger. It happens in an instant, and you do what you have to to feel safe. I want to get a Mickey one, but I worried it would be too hot in September. What did you think?

Great updates, Becky! I haven't been on all weekend so it was cool to see so many updates right in a row! :woohoo: (Unlike someone I know who takes FOREVER to update hers....:rolleyes1).
The pictures are all so fabulous! I love the BatB ones and the JTA ones, but the ones with your girls in them are the best!! :cutie: So, no Toy Story Mania for you guys? :sad1: It's my all-time favorite!!! Sorry Fantasmic got rained out and that you guys had to deal with Mr. Rude Pants! I just don't understand how some people can't just keep their mouths shut! :headache: I mean, what purpose was it serving for him to say that? Ugh.
I love those dresses - they are so cute! And the picture of Claire sleeping - adorable!!
Can't wait for more!

Oh good!! I'm glad the link helped you out! And the Minnie one is just too cute!! Claire is the same way--fast and independent!
Saying this loud and proud;)-
I am totally letting my two year old pick out a new leash!
Whoo hoo for leashes!! :woohoo:
Count me in as another harness-loving mama! Anyone who would make a comment like that clearly does not have kids. What a jerk! Until you've had a toddler you have no idea how fast and reckless they are. I turned my attention at my ODS's t-ball game yesterday for 20 seconds and my YDS was halfway down the field being carried back by a stranger. It happens in an instant, and you do what you have to to feel safe. I want to get a Mickey one, but I worried it would be too hot in September. What did you think?
Glad to hear it!! :goodvibes It worked really well for Claire and she LOVED wearing it (I think the fact that it was Minnie really helped). I don't think it would be too hot--Claire wore it in mid-May with no problem. And it's not like he'll be wearing it all day--you know?! And if he loves Mickey Mouse, it's even better!! (and oh so cute!)

Thanks Sara!! Hee hee!! I know, I keep checking your TR for updates. You're just wanting to drag things out as much as you can--I don't blame you!! I don't ever want to forget our trip!! :rotfl:
No, we didn't get to Toy Story Mania. By the time we made our way over there, the line was CRAZY long! And later they weren't letting anyone without Fastpasses ride b/c they have given all of the FP's out! Crazy!!

We also love Beauty and the Beast. Belle is my daughter's favorite character because she loves to read and so does my daughter. Too bad you had to wait in line all that time to find out Fantasmic was canceled. I don't have that kind of patience. It sounds like your girls were great all day.

I have some good news!! (for those of you on Facebook and that have seen my status update, you already know) Well, after talking to Brent--it seems that he loved Disney as much as I did!! So, we've decided that we're going again next year!! Whoo hoo!! I'm soooo excited!! But I need some advice. We aren't sure when we should go. We really liked not having to deal with the huge crowds of summer. However, Ally starts Kindergarten in August (school starts August 10th) so it's going to make things a little more difficult. Any suggestions as to when to go?!?! (the last day of school this next year is May 21st if that matters) I'm not sure where we're going to stay yet either. We just LOVED the Ploynesian--I certainly wouldn't mind staying there again! So I need your help/opinions!!
BTW--I will update my TR soon. I'm SUPER busy with VBS this week--it is wearing me out! Ally's dance recital is this Saturday as well!! Busy busy!

Hmmm...I don't know Becky, but I think I might have convinced Shawn to go back in February with the kids! :rolleyes1 LOL!! Hehe!
I have never had a problem taking my kids out of school for a couple of days...I have never done a full week out but I usually combine it with a holiday or a teacher conference or 1/2 days or something. (We went Thanksgiving week when Michael was in kindergarten, then we went this past October over Columbus Day weekend because the teachers at our school were going to a Christian School conference that was being held for two days prior to Columbus Day Monday so it worked out that they only missed like 1 day - Emily was in kindergarten this past year)! Soooo....what I guess I am saying is I wouldn't worry too much about taking her out for a couple of days....
Have you thought about going over the holidays? The Christmas decorations are so amazing! (Not Christmas week, but early to mid December).
I'm so excited for you and I can't wait to hear what you guys end up deciding! :cool1:

Well I say as long as they are still young and in early grade school just take them out for a week. My oldest DD was in 2nd grade this year and missed two seperate weeks for vacation. In the fall for WDW, and in the spring for DLR. As they get older it is not recommended but I would do it while you still can.

Hi Becky!
WOW, that's GREAT news!!!:dance3: It's alway a tough situation when the kids start school but since Ally is just going into Kindergarten, I would HIGHLY recommend early December....we took Ethan out for the week this past Dec. and it was just such a WONDERFUL experience, and his K teacher just told us to have fun!!!:thumbsup2 The crowds were pretty low, no problem getting ADR's (including Le Celliar!!), the weather was cooler but it was perfect touring weather IMO, we wore sweatshirts in the a.m and shorts/capris/shorts during the day, we didn't swim but didn't have time for it anyways. And the decorations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cloud9: And MVMCP!!!!!!!!!:santa:I'd go back then in a heartbeat!!!!! Keep us posted!!!!:goodvibes

Back in January, we took Madison out for a whole week. She's only in 1st grade, so it really didn't bother me. Since it was a surprise, I emailed her teacher and she got together all the work Maddie was going to miss. Madison did all of her work on the plane on the way down to Orlando! January really was a great time to go. We went the last week (Jan 24-31) and we had very light crowds. The weather was in the mid to high 70's and it was just perfect! No humidity, no daily rain showers, 5-10 minute waits on almost everything!!!! We had such a great time.

Hi girlfriend! Just got caught up again. It's been super crazy.
We've already decided to go back the week before Memorial Day next year which is the 22nd-29th since that will be after school gets out and before the big crowds. We were thinking of checking out free dining but both girls will be in school in 2010 so that wouldn't be near as easy to work out. As Lindsey gets older it is getting more difficult to plan during school - seems like they are testing for something all the time. Maybe we'll see ya again next year!!!

Hi Becky,
So happy that Brent had has much at Disney as you and the girls. The schools here are not too happy when we take Kaylee out :rolleyes1 for Disney. I guess you could check with the principal when she starts kindergarten. That way you will know how they fell about her missing school. It's only kindergarten so I doubt it would be a problem. Otherwise you could always go over fall break (if you have one) or when school gets out. I've been having this debate too and I think we might just wait for school to be over next May. Kaylee will be fourth grade though. Glad to hear VBS is going well.

That is great news! I agree with everyone else the for Kindergarten it really shouldn't be a big deal to take her out of school. Do it while you can - it definitely gets harder as they get older. I love both the fall and Christmas decorations and festivities at WDW. You can do summer anytime so I'd try for one of those. Both of the parties, Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party, are so much fun!
Hmmm...I don't know Becky, but I think I might have convinced Shawn to go back in February with the kids! :rolleyes1 LOL!! Hehe!

Well, here is my 2 cents as far as your dates are concerned; I would say if you're OK with pulling Ally out of school, how about say late April? The weather would be nice and then you'll be in between most of the spring break people and the end of school travelers.
But I also vote for Christmas time...as I'm sure you know we're going this Christmas and it's WONDERFUL! Yes, it's crowded but to me, nothing beats seeing the World all decked out for the holidays!
Sounds like you have a busy week - take care!

the poly looked great; but, I'm into this new thought I want to try them all what other resort do you think ya'll may like. The Grand Floridian looks like a great place to take little girls--it looks so victorian.

Wonderful news about the pre-planning of another trip next yr! :yay:
I wouldn't over worry the school thing too much either...K is easy to pull from, it get's harder as they get older.
I like the advice of planning around school vacations and such and maybe just pulling for a day or two. That is what we plan for our trip next year November. but when my twins (now incoming 5th) were in K, we pulled them out for a week to spend their 6th b-day there in May.
I loved the Poly too...but I also think it is fun to experience other resorts too.
Can't wait to see what you decide and plan, plus the end of this trip.
PS just a TR tip....in your title (from your original post) when you post new posts to the TR...if you add New and the date....it can help us know when you've updated better....JAT.

Hi everybody!! Sooo sorry I haven't posted in awhile! I hope I haven't lost all of you! Thanks for hanging in there! We've had a super-busy couple of weeks. Ally had swimming lessons the last 2 weeks and loved every minute of it!!
I had been frantically working on my Photopass Photobook until it stopped me at 60 pages!!!! :confused3 I triple-checked the info on the website in the photobook description--it said I could do up to 80 pages and I had 2 more days of vacation to go. I had planned accordingly and weeded down my 3,000 pics (planned 10 pages per day we were there-and that was even difficult). It had taken me DAYS to work on this book! Uggh! So Photobook got a LONG e-mail from me and I got a form letter type e-mail back. Double Uggh! So I called them and ended up talking to the lady who had e-mailed me--she was not so nice and talked down to me. I insisted that it said 80 pages and she had me walk her through where to find it (she did NOT believe me and it was very obvious). So once that info did indeed pop up for her she was not at all apologetic! She said, "Oh yeah--it does say that--doesn't it?!" Ummm--yeah! I told her I wasn't crazy! And she said, "I'll have to let my IT team know but there is nothing I can do for you." No sorry--nothing! By that point I was so angry I was shaking! All of this hard work for nothing! But I get really quiet when I get angry and usually don't know what to say. I did ask her about my pics that were expiring on June 27th--that there was no way now that I could complete my book in time--she said she could extend my pic deadline by 10 days. And that was it! What horrible customer service--make the customer feel stupid and low-life! Ugggh!! So after I calmed down, I researched other options and decided to just cancel my Photobook that I had pre-ordered and go with Shutterfly. I want to create a book that I'm happy with--you know?! With Shutterfly I won't get the cute Disney backgrounds but I can have up to 100 pages with as many pics on a page as I want! Oh--and so I e-mailed Photopass to let them know I wanted a refund and I am getting one (not sure how that works--haven't seen a refund to my bank account yet and I got the e-mail from them on the 25th). I did order my Photocd though and I'm looking forward to receiving it! I ended up with 1,008 pics!!
Last night we just got back from celebrating our 10th anniversary! Brent took me to Nashville and we dropped the girls off with my parents on the way on Friday. Brent told me nothing about what he had planned--he wanted everything to be a surprise!! We got to the Hutton Hotel and checked in! I was BLOWN away at how nice this place was! I had never stayed anywhere this nice before! I felt like I didn't belong but got used to it pretty quickly. We had dinner reservations for Ruth's Chris and it was FABULOUS (we eat here every year on our anniversary). The next day we got up and had lunch at the hotel and then went to see Legally Blonde The Musical!!! The show was hilarious and we enjoyed it very much! That night we had dinner at Amerigo's--yummy italian food!! The next morning we checked out and went shopping for most of the day and then headed home to pick up the girls. The weekend was absolutely WONDERFUL!!
I promise I'll be having a TR update as soon as I can get it done! Claire is waking up from her nap. . . Coming up--Day 3--first day at Magic Kingdom, BBB, and CRT, etc!!

Today we woke up super-early in order to make it to MK for an 8:00 a.m. BBB appointment. Ally's invite to the BBB:
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Planning/BBBAllyinvite.jpg
And the girl's invite to CRT
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Planning/CRTClaireinvite.jpg
We were so excited about our first day at MK that we ended up getting to the gates by 7:15 a.m.!!

Ally got a kick out of having her very own ticket and being able to put it in the turnstile to enter the parks
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/002.jpg
As we waited to enter MK the girls were given some Mickey confetti

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/007.jpg
A little after 7:30 a.m. the CMs did a special countdown for those of us entering the park early. Everyone threw their confetti in the air as they dropped the rope for us to enter. (the girls LOVED this)
It was such a magical and overwhelming experience walking down Main Street and the park being pretty much empty! We took it all in and made sure to get lots of pics while no one was around. We had some Photopass pics made and I took some as well.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/020.jpg

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/024.jpg

The experience at the BBB was excellent and we will definitely be doing it again!! Plus it was VERY worth the $ (Ally received the middle package that included hair, make-up, and nails). Since it rained everyday, I ended up keeping Ally's hair like this for the rest of our trip. And I'm telling you IT DID NOT MOVE!! I'm not sure what they put on Ally's hair but it was super stiff. It worked very well b/c Ally has super curly hair which would have been a frizzy mess in all of the rain!
After we left the BBB we headed back out to the front of the castle for more photopass photo ops. (I will share these when I get my cd) Here is one pic I took:
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/106.jpg
Then we headed to the Exposition Hall and had a photo shoot with the Photopass photograper in the BBB studio. The pictures turned out BEAUTIFULLY! I will share those when I get them. He even took some of Ally & Claire together--so sweet!! I was very pleased with the pics!
After the photo shoot we headed back out to Main Street and we could hear the opening show--the park was about to open so I quickly took some pics of Ally.

Awww...she's so pretty! I'm so glad your BBB experience was very magical! We love the BBB! And I soooo love the Princess style (we got the Diva style when we went with the whole family - all 16 of us) and we had 6 kids at the BBB at one time - all the girls picked the DIVA! It's cute and all, but I really thought my girls would pick the princess one with the crown. Nope - fake hair it was! :headache:
So when we went back in October with a smaller group, I was able to persuade my girls to go for the princess style! :cool1: :thumbsup2

no I don't know, but you can certaintly upload any image you have. I know you can have a whole page be a single picture w/ no border which is very sharp.
On the collage section you can have a picture as a background and then smaller pictures on top...so maybe it can work in a photo book too. Never have tried that.
Oh--and my invitations were made by a DISigner in the Creative DIS section. there are LOTS of DISers who make them!! Check it out!!
Thanks I will!

Great update Becky. The invitation you made for BBB is so cute. Love the pictures of Claire and Ally, they look so cute in their Cinderella dresses. Looks like Ally had a ball getting done up at BBB. Waiting to hear more about your day. So glad you were able to make a photo book you like on Shutter Fly.

So as the crowd was entering the park we quickly headed towards Fantasyland to ride Dumbo. We decided to take the path around the left side of the castle. As we rounded the corner, standing next to the castle stood the Fairy Godmother!!!! The girls were sooo excited! And being the big dork I am, I was thinking how great it was that they were wearing their Cinderella dresses. A great picture opportunity!!

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/123.jpg
Then the girls said their goodbyes and we headed into Fantasyland. We got a quick picture of Ally with the sword and the stone. (she claims that she felt the sword wiggle--hee hee!!)
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/126.jpg
Then we headed straight to Dumbo as it was on the top of our list--a Disney classic! We were hoping the line wouldn't be too bad as we were watching our time due to our CRT ressie at 10:05. The sign said 15 minutes--yay! As we stood in line the clouds were looming above us and the sky was darkening. I was praying that the rain would hold off so that we could ride Dumbo. The line moved fairly quickly and it was finally our turn to ride! Ally rode with Brent and Claire rode with me. Here is a picture I took while we were riding (notice the sky):
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/134.jpg
It was very difficult to get a pic of Claire since she was sitting next to me. But here is a pic of Ally & Brent (one of my favs)!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/138.jpg
As the ride was coming to a stop I started to feel sprinkles of rain--uggh! So we decided to make our way to the castle and check-in for CRT. We were about 15-20 minutes early but were given a royal ticket and escorted into the castle. We were the very 1st ones to arrive! We took full advantage of our time as we waited and took a bunch of pictures. The castle was beautiful!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/142.jpg
As we waited the girls were given their magic wands and wishing stars. That kept them entertained!!

And the mice hiding high up in the wall!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/148.jpg
Then a CM came and started lining us up to meet Cinderella! We were first in line!! Whoo hoo!! And out came Cinderella and immediately she started interacting with Ally & Claire. It was so cute!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/152.jpg
The CM took some photos and then I snapped a few and then we were asked to sit back down--they would seat us shortly.
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/156.jpg
All of a sudden I realized that we did not have the girl's autograph books! Oh no!!! So I had Brent run out to our stroller and retrieve the books. Whew! He was back before we were seated--stressful! Suddenly they announced, "The Royal Lollar Family"--it was time for us to be seated!!! And up the winding staircase we went!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/161.jpg
We were seated very close to the windows overlooking Fantasyland! WOW! We were taking it all in--we were finally dining INSIDE of Cinderella's castle! It was so surreal!!

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/171.jpg
Then the waitress brought out eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, bacon, cheese danishes, and breakfast breads. The girls both had french toast sticks. The food was pretty good but nothing spectacular. Then all of a sudden the music began and they started telling the story of one princess (we had fun guessing which princess would appear). Out came Snow White!!!!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/182.jpg
She went from table to table greeting everyone, taking pictures, and signing books. And then came Aurora!!!!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/188.jpg
As the princesses continued to greet their guests, I started feeling very funny and light-headed and I was having trouble breathing. I don't know if it was the excitement of everything or what but I thought I was going to pass out. It was the scariest feeling! I had all these thoughts running through my head--what happens if I DO pass out? I'll ruin everything! I won't be able to enjoy the experience of CRT! Where will they take me? What will they do with me? Oh no!!

Brent could tell something was wrong by the look on my face. He kept asking me if I was ok and I kept telling him that I wasn't sure. I told him I thought I was going to pass out. So I started taking deep, slow breaths and praying that I would no longer feel the way I did. Thankfully I started feeling a little better--praise the Lord! So anyway, the next princess to join us was Jasmine!!!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/190.jpg
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/194.jpg
And then Belle!!!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/201.jpg
The princesses were wonderful--I only wished that we hadn't felt so rushed with them but the girls didn't seem to mind. Then there was a royal announcement and the girls were told to wave their magic wands in the air.
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/208.jpg
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/211.jpg
And then they were instructed to hold their wishing stars, close their eyes, and make a wish!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/215.jpg
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/228.jpg
And then the girls were told to open their eyes and when they looked up at the ceiling there were lights twinkling everywhere!! So magical! I was able to capture Ally's reaction!
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/219.jpg
We finished up, paid, and then gathered our belongings. I reached down to grab our camera bag and it wasn't there. So I asked Brent if he had placed it by him--he had not! By that time I was FREAKING OUT!! This bag had my zoom lens, charger, and extra battery in it!! If we did not find it those things would be gone and once my original battery died, I would no longer be able to take anymore pictures--and it was only Monday!!! I could tell Brent was scared as well and he ran downstairs to check where we had waited to be seated. I thought I was going to cry! I gathered up the girls and headed down the stairs and by that time Brent was running back up to me! He had found the case!!! PTL!!! It had not been left downstairs--when he had gone out to the stroller to get the autograph books, he had accidentally left it sitting in the seat of our stroller! I was amazed that no one had taken it (and VERY relieved)!!! We both breathed a HUGE sigh of relief!
Now the plan was to change the girls out of their princess dresses and into their clothes for the day. We used the big family bathroom that was downstairs in the castle. Thankfully it was very roomy and we were able to get the girls changed quickly. Then we headed out to get our stroller and guess what?! IT WAS POURING RAIN!!! Uggh! So we decided to wait it out for a little bit while we were still covered by the castle.
Ally waiting
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/229.jpg
I told Brent that we needed to get out the ponchos--I didn't think the rain was ending anytime soon. So we put on our ponchos and hung out a little more. There were poeple shoulder to shoulder where we were waiting and it seemd like the rain just kept coming down harder and harder. And all of a sudden I felt tears welling up inside my eyes and I just started to cry. I turned away from my girls so they wouldn't see their mommy upset (the hood on my poncho helped, too). I was just soooo bummed with all of the rain. I was sooo ready for it to stop (little did I know that it would continue for the rest of the week). So I got it together and we decided we would just make do--we would never get anything done hanging out all day. Since the carousel was close by, we decided to hop on (there was no wait).

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/235.jpg
We were able to ride a lot of things in Fantasyland that day with little to no wait but I was unable to get a ton of pics due to the rain. I did get pics of It's A Small World, though! Another Disney classic that Claire just ADORED!!

The joy and excitement on Claire's face as we rode just made my day! THIS is what Disney World is all about!!
Then we headed to the Haunted Mansion!

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/290.jpg
I was a little concerned about how the girls would react to this ride. My parents claimed that I just loved this ride when I was 3 (I don't really remember). But the girls loved the ride!! They especially liked how the ghost sat with us at the very end. Fun fun!!
Then onto Frontierland where we ran into Rafiki and Meeko!!

your last post, had my eyes swelling in your joy and sadness....I am just like you and probably would have started crying too w/ that rain. I am glad you made that best of it and carried on. The rain proabably worked to your advantage!
I love the views of the castle and everything, how wonderful....I can't wait to share that amgical castle w/ my girls (and DS) next year.
Sorry you started to feel ill and I'm so GLAD it passed PTL! I agree

Great updates. Ally looks beautiful, but I must admit that I thought she already looked like a princess before she was transformed. I think everyone has at least one experience of thinking they lost something while at WDW. I personally have several each trip. I am glad you all were able to make the best of the rainy day. I can't wait to hear about the rest of it.

The CRT breakfast looked like so much fun. Love the look on Ally's face after the wish, so precious, and your little Claire is such a ham with the looks with the fruit. :)
But oh the rain, when you said you started to cry I felt tears well up in my face for you too. Glad you were at least able to get on a lot of rides.
so you left me hanging with who was there when you turned around popcorn::popcorn::
ok and then you posted pictures... LOVE your photopass pictures, so cute. Jack loves the Handy Manny pictures.
btw love your pink purse, too cute
Thanks Jessica! It was soooo much fun and Claire is VERY much a ham!! My pink purse is Vera Bradley and unfortunately it faded due to the sun and rain. But it was the perfect size for our trip1!
...so much fun!! :)
Thanks! We did have a lot of fun!!

First of all you guys are such a cute family! I think I had commented on your PTR before since our dates crossed. I can't remember for sure. I'm checking out this TR now. The Polynesian...love the place! We stayed there last Summer..got lucky w/ a free MK view and it was amazing. My kids both slept on that couch...the second bed went untouched...I thought that was funny that they had to sleep on the couch.
Your little dining cards are so cute! And what a sweet travel agent you have to send such a nice gift for the girls.
Now I am at the part with your BBB & CRT invites ~ so so cute! Oh, and look at your little Cinderella's. I wish we could have met during our trip. My DD would have loved playing with your girls.
Did you make all of those beautiful outfits?
Aww, I love the magic balloon shot of your family. I have to try that one next time. We didn't get many photopass pics this past trip.
Okay....I went through all 15 pages so I am ready for the rest. The kids are on pool restriction today so I hope to get my Dis reads all caught up. I'm subbing now. I keep looking to see if we're in the background of your pics. So far no see...check ours out too. You might pop up somewhere in my trip report. LOL

finally I forgot to mention it on my last two post replies...but my DD Aldine saw a few pictures of your girls w/ the Princess clips in and thought they were cute and cool. I have you on my list when I get ready for the 010 trip!

So when I left off the girls were meeting Rafiki and Meeko (BTW--did you know that Rafiki means "friend" in Swahili? I learned that while teaching VBS this summer). Anywho, the girls said their goodbyes, we turned around, and there were our friends from church!! (the ones we had hung out with at HS the day before) We had planned on getting together on this day as it was their last day in the parks--they would be leaving to go home on Tuesday. So we didn't even have to search for each other! Ally was so excited to see her friend Lexi!!

We waited for Lexi to meet Rafiki & Meeko and then we headed to Aloha Isle for Dole Whips!! YUM! None of us had ever had a Dole Whip before. Then we headed over towards the castle to see the "Celebrate the Dream Come True" Parade at 3:00 p.m. Thankfully the rain decided to hold off while we watched the parade.

We also rode the Winnie the Pooh and Snow White rides and saw Philharmagic (we walked right in)! Heather, Mike, & Lexi had dinner reservations that evening so we went our separate ways (we would meet back up with them after dinner). We decided to head to Toontown and check out the wait for the Fairies. The fairies were a 75 minute wait and the princesses were only 15--so we went with the princesses. We knew we'd be back to MK 2 more days so it wasn't an issue.
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c136/ladybugmom_/Disney%20Vacation%202009%20Day%203/423.jpg
As we stood in line Claire started to lose it! She was hungry and DID NOT want to stand in this line (Brent had left her bag of snacks in the stroller outside). She kept running into people and just acting insane! I was so embarassed so Brent decided it would be best if he took her to get a snack while we met the princesses. I really would have liked to have gotten pics of Claire with the princesses but I knew she wouldn't have done well being so cranky--next time! Anyway, the line went pretty quickly and before we knew it Ally was dancing with Aurora!!

They had brought Mary Poppins inside due to the rain!! What a nice surprise!! After Ally hugged Mary Poppins we found Brent and Claire. Claire seemed to be in better spirits after snacking on some Goldfish. We headed outside and it was pouring again! So I took Ally into Minnie's house while Brent strolled around Toontown with Claire. It was packed!! It seemed that everyone had the same idea to get out of the rain.

We met back up with Brent and Claire and rode Jungle Cruise. Then we decided we had better find somewhere to eat before we had to meet back up with our friends. So we walked and walked and just couldn't figure out where we were going to eat (we were looking for a counter service place). We FINALLY decided on Columbia Harbour House in Liberty Square. It ended it being very good! I had chicken and Brent had fish. Ally had the mac and cheese and Claire LOVED my french fries!! While we were eating we got a call from our friends--they were back at MK. Before we had split up we had gotten Fastpasses for Peter Pan's Flight. So the plan was to meet back up with them there. We waited maybe 10 minutes and then we were on the ride! Ally REALLY enjoyed this ride and wanted to ride again. The regular line was WAY too long so we told her we'd come back another day. Then we headed over to It's A Small World and walked right on!! Claire just ADORED this ride!!

When we got off the ride it was around 8:30 p.m. so we decided to scope out some seats for Spectromagic. The rain had stopped again and we found a great spot sitting in Liberty Square right across the street from the Liberty Bell. We broke out the glow necklaces/bracelets and some Cheeze-Its for the girls to snack on.

As we waited a really nice CM from the Jungle Cruise entertained the girls and talked to us for quite awhile. She even gave the girls some Mickey stickers! (note: later in the week we ran into her again at Jungle Cruise and she called Ally & Claire by name! I couldn't believe she remembered their names! I was IMPRESSED!!)

It was difficult to find a good setting on my camera but I ended up getting some good pics (some were blurry and some weren't--there didn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to it).

Becky - I have been reading your trip report tonight and really enjoying it! Your girls are just precious! We have a DD who will be 5 in a couple of weeks and she is a Disney Princess FAN! I saw that you make and sell the hair bows that your girls wear. Would you mind sending me a pm with your website? We are going again in Sept and I would love to surprise Brooke with some new bows!
Welcome Kelli!!! So glad you're joining in!! Thank you! I'm PMing you now!! princess:

What a great day! even with the rain... the girls look like they really enjoyed MK. I did not notice the hole in the wall at Mickey's house (it was so crowded)... your Spectro pics came out great...Claire's face is priceless. We missed the parades I had planned for them and for some reason didn't catch them ... oh well all the more reason to go back next year...
looking forward to your AK day...

What a fun day to spend w/ your friends! We hope sometime in the future to plan coordinating trips w/ one of my good friends who loves Disney just as much as us. How fun for all of you.
What great luck that the rain held up for both parades and Wishes!
Your Spectro pictures are awesome, I alwasy forget to adjust the setting on my camera. I love the one of Chip and Dale at the piano.
